Halloween drop suggestions
Inspired by the Reaper's Rewards and Blast from the Past event i had some ideas for a possible halloween update/event this year that would finally bring more items for better customization for sims in general (normal and occults). CREATE A SIM: Pointy ears ✅ Fangs ✅ Miscellaneous skin colors: Pink, Orange, Purple, Yellow, Dark Red/Green, etc. Lord Lycan's hair, beard, eyebrows Snout (face painting? Skin detail?) Grim Reaper's old skin Cat/Dog ears Old witch hat Cat makeup Mermaid scales (Arms, legs, back?) Finger webs Alien antennae Extra eyes Vampire kids hair (for adults) New color swatches: BG Star Wars outfits (Like blue, pink, white, yellow, brown, etc.) Grim reaper hood/robe (I want Medieval reaper and also Red Riding Hood) Life of the party clothes (they're so cool for giving moodlets, but only 3 colors?) These outfits have a lot of potencial and the new colors would allow us to use it on new occasions other than parties and with other characters that related to Star Wars. GAMEPLAY Different interactions for ghosts to fulfill their needs; Ghosts floating when running.81Views5likes2CommentsBracelet zoom in is annoying
I absolutely hate how it zooms in to the hands when I go to the bracelet category. It's especially annoying because it's the first category in accessories so even if it's only the socks you want to change you'll still get the zoom. It's nauseating and it's not even helpful! I like it for nails and rings but for bracelets it's definitely more annoying than useful. You can't check to see how the bracelet looks with the whole outfit, it's a nightmare to use with custom content that uses the bracelet slot, and you can't even see all of the bracelets because some of them go higher up the arm like the City Living or the Realm of Magic ones. And I can deal with the motion sickness if I have to but it infuriates me how I cannot even zoom out! Why does the camera have to be stuck that way?! I wish that instead of the game zooming in instantly when you go to accessories/bracelets, you'd have to manually zoom in yourself. The zoom can stay automatic for rings and nails, but I think it's very important that I can zoom out when I want even in those categories.BibiCiobEater21 minutes agoSeasoned Newcomer63Views4likes2CommentsNo more live events!
Nobody asked for this. Seriously. I'm sure the executives at EA love live events because they pump up login numbers, but they're terrible for the players: Inciting FOMO- being limited-time events with no other official way to unlock the content, players that can't/won't use mods miss out if they're not playing during the time an event is live. Forcing a specific playstyle- The appeal of The Sims has always been that it's your sandbox to do what you want in, but unless a player completely avoids opening the game in online mode, these events intrude upon gameplay without an opt-out. That was probably the thing that annoyed me most about Reaper's Rewards, having the event pop up in saves I didn't intend to play through it in. Forcing online play- The Sims 4 is a single-player game, therefore playing online should never be mandatory, let alone a requirement to get and keep content. Bugs, bugs, bugs- The Happy at Home content had to be handed out to everyone because so many people had trouble getting it in the intended manner; Answers HQ and social media were flooded for the duration of the event with reports of problems playing Reaper's Rewards and getting its loot. I don't trust that Cozy Celebrations is going to be any better in that regard. Seriously, bugs- The dev time and energy that's going into pushing this mobile-game-esque nonsense would be much better spent fixing major issues with the game, as the playerbase has been clamoring for for years and as EA has promised they were going to devote more time to. When I saw there was a patch today, I was hoping it would include some of those fixes. At the very least, it's unacceptable that trans bodies are still broken several months and several patches after that bug was introduced, despite EA/Maxis's lip service to depicting diverse Sims and a modder showing how easy it was to fix within a week of the patch. Please, EA. Save this nonsense for multiplayer games and/or Project Rene (since it doesn't sound like it's going to be a traditional Sims game anyway.) Sims 4 doesn't need it and the players don't want it. As for me, I may just keep my game totally offline until after the event so it doesn't interrupt my gameplay. Until the next FOMO-fest comes around, anyway...flying-womrats28 minutes agoSeasoned Vanguard1.2KViews38likes70CommentsNew Packs are nice, but…..
I love getting new worlds with open lots to make my sims have a meet more diverse sims, but I don’t think it’s fair we only get new lots with a new pack or a new world. ADD MORE EMPTY LOTS TO OLD WORLDS THERE IS PLENTY OF SPACE!Whitley_LaChoice39 minutes agoSeasoned Newcomer16Views2likes1CommentSims 4 band Update/Pack
So, i have been thinking of a band-themed pack in my spare time. GETTING A BAND TOGETHER It would be very similar to the Get Together club system, First of all you can create a band which brings you to the Get together club creating screen but slightly different. You can give it a name, select the instruments you want in the band and also the members. I think it should show the skill levels of the sims, and maybe you can tag them ? For instance you could toggle all sims with "Level 2 guitar skill" and it shows all the sims with lvl. 2 Guitar skill, to make it easy for selection. you could also assign what genre, if any at all, your band plays. NEW INSTRUMENTS This pack would be a perfect way to introduce more instruments to the game. you could add drums, clarinets, saxophone and other common instruments. You could also add some more that aren't usually seen in day-to-day life like from different countries which would add more diversity and culture in the sims which is found quite a lot already. GIGS I think it would also be great to have a gigs menu, so when you have created the band you can select some random gigs at different lots. You can have some at a club or café, maybe at a park or at the pier from High-School Years. you could even have it at the Pancake residence if it says. Also you could hire a band and pick from the selections of bands. So if you wanted a Birthday party with a band performances you could hire a band to play at your party, the higher the skill of the band the more expensive or "booked up" the band could be. CROSSPACKING I think crosspacking could be awesome in this kind of pack. For instance with the new Business And Hobbies EP, your band could play at a business where people pay to enter and listen to the band's music. Also they could do talent contests for bands at restaurants, the prize could be money and even fame from the Get Famous EP. Overall I think this pack would be very fun to play with and a great expansion to the many money making ways in the sims 4. This would also add depth to the music part of The Sims 4. Thank you for listening to my idea, AlziPalz.209Views6likes3CommentsSims 4 Ocean Exploration expansion pack [Aquariums, scuba diving and houseboats]
Underwater Diving areas There are underwater diving areas that Sims can explore and that are interactive and actually visible to the player. Players can find treasure chests, explore underwater caves or sunken shipwrecks, harvest seaweed and catch fish swimming around. The fish that have been caught can be brought to the surface and exhibited in an aquarium. There is a scuba diving skill. The higher the skill level, the longer a Sim can stay underwater and the less depressurizing time a Sim has. Aquarium There is an aquarium in town that you can stock with fish and other marine life like colorful sea slugs. These can be caught while scuba diving. There are giant aquarium tanks that you can stock with fish. There is an aquarium tunnel object that Sims can walk through, and it can be stocked with fish as well. Aquariums are a new type of community venue. There are saltwater tanks (with corals and rocks) and freshwater tanks (with kelp and wood branches) Houseboat Houseboats are a new type of home that Sims can live in. Houseboats are editable in Build Mode like a regular lot, except you can't add a basement. Whale watching There are whales jumping out of the ocean that you can go watch with your houseboat. You can offer paid whale watching tours or diving tours with your houseboat by clicking on the tourist information center. Driftwood furniture Collect driftwood at the beach and craft new driftwood furniture using the woodworking table from base game and Handiness skill. Expanded mermaids Mermaids should get their own skill tree like all other occults and more scary looking like Sirens. Sirens could also be a new type of occult. To expand Mermaids they should get… Aquatic ears New mermaid tails Seaweed hair Fish scale skin tone that makes the whole body have fish scales Barnacles on body Scaly arms and legs while on land Fin on head (instead of hair) Sims can become a Siren by getting bitten by a Siren. (Like vampires) Mermaids/ Sirens can drink blood like vampires, but don‘t need to More fish-like appearance Fish-like eyes Freezing abilities Stronger manipulation powers The Siren/ Mermaid skill tree Australian world The town is inspired by Australian beach towns like Airlie Beach in Australia. It consists of two marinas where houseboats are located. New collections Sea slugs: Verco's nudibranch Black-margined sea slug Leaf sea slug Clown nudibranch Orange side-gilled slug Chromodoris nudibranch New fishes Harvest edible seaweed Seaweed grows underwater and you can harvest it and eat it. Shipwreck Exploration There are underwater shipwrecks that you can explore, unlock doors by finding keys in storage chests, by being gifted keys from a local Sim etc. Metal debris blocks paths. Sims must use a sledgehammer to break through metal debris. Requires Fitness skill. Sharks live inside these shipwrecks and your Sim needs to hide from them.1.7KViews35likes47CommentsSuggestion - Sims 4 - Sims with Disabilities
I honestly believe Sims 4 is the perfect environment to represent people with disabilities. There are very few major games which do so. Elements that could be put in include: Wheelchair Bound Sims Ramps/Elevators they can use instead of stairs Walkers/Canes (for elderly/injured sims) Deafness add Sign Language skill. Without it, they would be limited to non verbal communication. Appropriate handicap in learning auditory skills Blindness Seeing eye pets White Canes Appropriate handicap in learning visual skills And so on...7.4KViews46likes207CommentsFantasy/Sci-Fi/etc. Themed Packs
With EbN most of the supernatural Life States are in Sims 4. I would of course like more but a general satisfaction that if you have RoM/V/W/EbN you finally almost have the equivalent to Sims 3 Supernatural. Sims 3 Supernatural (my first Sims 3 pack) is what got me hooked on buying all Sims 3 packs and almost the entire Sims 3 store—so that is why I mention it. But because I am a fantasy/sci-fi based player, non-fantasy/sci-fi packs and packs that do not compliment fantasy/sci-fi type themes don't interest me much—so that means there are more packs I rather skip/not buy than buy (but I am also aware many players feel the opposite too). At least that is what I found in Sims 4, it is easier to skip packs in Sims 4 than Sims 3. Also funny enough, I had no interest in the Journey to Batuu (I mean I probably would like the CAS and Build by the rest of the pack I have zero interest), just the Star Wars universe doesn't really have a place in my Sim worlds (but I might buy it (on sale), if they add a Dystopian EP/GP). With this, new packs are really going to have to impress me to buy, otherwise I need hard convincing just to buy packs when they are on sale. So here are some idea for packs that might interest fantasy/sci-fi/themed game style players and may or may not interest non-fantasy/non-sci-fi/non-themed game style players. Steampunk, bring back inventing that is more tinkerer/eccentric based that can work for past, modern and (dystopian) future themed players. I loved using both Ambitions/WA and the steampunk store packs (including Midnight Hollow) to create a sort of industrial steampunk themed game. This could probably be a GP but you'd wow me if you did a EP. Medieval, also a fan of Dragon Valley and baby dragons. I think many players would love to be technology free (no cell phones/computers/TVs/etc.) especially for a non-ECO off the grid challenge. I'd suggest an EP, make it so you can play past/modern tech (or lack of tech). Underground and/or Underwater Biodome, my fav Sims 2 lot was a the Biodome, I still want to see that again revised. But for a fallout or future playstyle this would be so cool. Or even ocean exploration themed. Space Station/Spaceship, or some Future World. I loved Into the Future and Oasis landing! I miss nanites and the regular or dystopian versions of the future world. Whimsical, I loved the Looking Glass/Wonderland store items, I sort of used Midnight Hollow and utopian future to play an Alice in Wonderland theme game. I'd love a tea party table (I loved the store tea set table). This could be a GP or very least a SP (similar to how Paranormal works) but please not a Kit (it wouldn't be enough to work with). The idea of oversized items, from being shrunk (misses oversized flowers). How to make this work for non-fantasy themed players, theme park lots/capability for themed lots, to keep fantasy Sims in certain worlds/lots similar to werewolves staying in their world. Adventure Worlds, aka Al Simhara, Shang Simla and Champs Les Sims, JA is nice but I really loved these worlds too. This is themed but not fantasy/sci-fi so more people should be able to enjoy.HollownessDevour7 hours agoSeasoned Veteran107Views2likes7CommentsFunctional counters and cabinets.
Please make the counters and cabinets functionally similar to storage boxes. And also make them link to the refrigerator so that when you need to use your ingredients, they will be available. That way you can store groceries in them. If you can’t link it to the refrigerator at least let us put things like flowers, crystal, and random inventory items in them.6Views1like0CommentsPlease Make Mystical and Disruptive Compatible with Macabre
Ever since I heard about the new Mystical Trait, I was so excited to use with my favourite trait Macabre. I just think for a dark fairy or dark spellcaster it be an great complimentary combo. But you "conflicting traits" blocked them... To me the affinity of and to the occults and the affinity of death is ideal for the darker occults and sims. Edit: just noticed Disruptive can't be Macabre either, like wut?215Views13likes9CommentsSome EnB (including Cross-Pack Compatibility) Suggestions
Without any major overhauls (hopefully), here are some suggestions to tweak EnB, as well as EnB with other packs. I don't think these are asking too much, they are probably even possible for modders to make. EbN Suggestions: Select Sim to choose "Sleep Preference" (similar to utensil preference), so Sims with Natural Living Skill can choose to "always sleep on ground" or sleep on ground when there is nowhere else to sleep. If emotions are absorbed by a friend (or higher) no relationship loss. "Harvest All" works with Aura Blossom, Lightning Root (if possible) and Moody Shrub. "Forage for Apothecary Ingredients" should not contain non-Apothecary Ingredients (I keep getting apples) Remove "computer required" daily tasks from this career, we are in a Natural Living EP, having a computer on lot defeats the purpose.... Other Cross-Pack Suggestions with EnB: Cauldrons or Apothecary Table can both craft/brew Potions/Cures (Realm of Magic) Apothecary Table can also hold Alchemy Ingredients (Realm of Magic) Apothecary Table can both craft/brew Remedies/Cures (Outdoor Retreat) Apothecary Table can also hold Herbalism Ingredients (Outdoor Retreat) Copypasto works on Apothecary ingredients/cures (Realm of Magic) New Lifestyles to better reflect magical (or occults), crafting and/or fable completing lifestyles (Snowy Escape) Moonstone effects Fairies respectively (Crystal Creations) Fairy specific Nectary, also mentioned here by another Simmer (Horse Ranch) Insects added to World, well all worlds preferably (Outdoor Retreat) Feel free to add your suggestions as well.46Views2likes0Comments[Suggestion] Aspiration Builder
A base game update that would bring infinite playability to the game is the ability to create custom aspirations. They could work similar to how creating your own holiday works in Seasons. You could name it, and select skills/tasks/etc. to complete for each level. With how many skills and jobs there are in the game, it feels repetitive to only be able to gain points through the same aspirations which may have nothing to do with those jobs or skills. I find myself playing the same things over and over just to get those points. For example, if I could make a Photography-based aspiration under Creativity to go with skills needed for the Photo Studio and tie it to leveling up the skill, selling photographs, taking pictures, etc.pgalante7 hours agoNew Novice10Views3likes1Comment[NCQE] Not getting all consumable awards with ended event
So, have finished the event, but cannot claim the very last 'reward' as do not have enough points. No more quests, says thanks for playing. Guess since do not have all dlcs, did not 'earn' enough by doing all supposedly optional quests. If these quests are optional, then NOTHING should be locked behind them. Edit By Crinrict: Added Tag to Title, Adjusted Title to better reflect the issue.miskuski8 hours agoSeasoned Newcomer343Views10likes41Comments💡 Ideas > 😅 20 years old wishes

I’m so glad that fairies are going to be a real occult like vampires and werewolves despite being in an expansion instead of game pack. HOWEVER It makes me so sad that my favorite occult, mermaids, are not one I ever really want to use in the Sims because they got shafted so hard. They’re basically just cosmetic. The main thing I want for them is a skill tree with unique mermaid skills, similar to vampires, werewolves, ghosts (seriously, ghosts do but not mermaids?!) and now fairies. It doesn’t need to be super involved with multiple branches or anything. Even just a few would go a long way. It would be ideal if this happened for the aliens and maybe even PlantSims too but honestly since mermaids are my favorite, that’s my top priority.80Views6likes4CommentsI'm a be honest
I really would like a season camp EP think summer camp for Sims kids and tweens if/ when we get them however as the title states I'm a be honest I don't want the team that did EBN, HR, FR, HSY, LS and MWS I know they mean well and want to give simmers want they would like but facts are facts they be making buggy and limited packs and paying 40 dollars.... then we didn't get a livestream for gameplay made me nervous. I'm not trying to be mean or hurtful it's just simmers can't play their games.6Views0likes0CommentsBalance and Happiness - what's the diff?
I know "balance" is under the simology tab. But it just seems like basically another version of "happiness": meet your needs you're happy. Don't meet your needs: you become the not happy. Meet your needs, you're 'balanced'. Don't meet your needs: you become the not balanced. What's the point of a 'balanced' metric?ReflectedLite11 hours agoRising Hotshot18Views0likes0CommentsIdea (Technical): Upgrade Python version used in The Sims 4
The last time The Sims 4 got an upgrade to its Python implementation was in 2018 with version 1.47.49.1020 when it received a Python upgrade to version 3.7 from 3.3.5. Since then, we have gotten 6 major new versions of Python, technically 7 when Python 3.14 releases later this year. The developers of Python have added a lot of significant performance optimizations with these 7 versions, along with new and significant programming features that make programming in Python way easier. As The Sims 4 is likely going to stick around for the forseeable future, it would be nice if mod authors were empowered with a modern Python version that will allow them to make better and more powerful mods. And as The Sims 4 itself uses Python for a lot of its systems, the game would also benefit from being updated to a modern Python version, not to mention that Python 3.7 has been deemed end of life since June 2023. Bringing the Sims 4's Python version up-to-date would also bring the aforementioned significant performance optimizations to The Sims 4, which would align with The Sims Team's renewed focus on improving game performance. The biggest performance improvement that can be made, is running the game's Python scripts on a modern Python version. While it is true that this would break almost all mods, it would modernize The Sims 4's foundation, allowing for a next-generation of mods that will make the game even better and bring the game fully into 2025.eveluvsrainbows12 hours agoSeasoned Novice18Views0likes0Comments
