Annoying Gnomes from Enchanted by Nature
I have the new expansion pack for fairies and I’m aware that gnomes were a big part of the marketing for some reason. I’m currently playing in San Myshuno in a family that has nothing fairy related going on, yet these stupid gnomes keep appearing in my home. Sometimes they clean, other times they break everything in my house. I’m aware that in the game options there’s a way to turn off things like dust bunnies and whatnot but why doesn’t an option exist to turn off these dumb gnomes? If I’m missing something, someone please enlighten me because I’m so sick of having to call the repair service every time these gnomes appear. I’ve been dragging and selling them when they show up but not before they break everything. It’s honestly just a really annoying feature. I can understand them showing up in Innisgreen, but in any other neighborhood is just plain ridiculous. I honestly don’t even see the appeal.330Views2likes8Comments[Giveaway] Enchanted by ... free stuff, naturally!

All of my sims' kids are so smart by the time they get to high school that the teachers usually tell them the first day that they don't need to come back. They are making the other kids look dumb I guess. They are polite enough not to say that. So anyway I have never seen a child actually graduate. #AD (just in case this counts as social media) I was invited to join the CFE (not final build) opportunity for The Sims 4: Enchanted by Nature. Thank you to the EA Creator Network for this chance to answer questions for you about the pack! I will be taking and answering mainly questions about gameplay, dancing with Fairies, foraging for Apothecary Ingredients, reciting Fables, upsetting the Balance, souring the Luck, WooHooing in the Sky and seducing our new favourite Greenie Meanie, Spruce! Plus I'll give you info on Fairies, new Skills/Traits/Aspirations/Career/Lore/Systems and anything else you guys want to know about! And there's a lot. I haven't had as much time as I wanted to play with this one around work, so am still learning as I go. I can always cheat up levels if you need info I don't have yet, etc. I haven't played cross-pack yet, because I want to compare what's available with and without it, but if you do have cross-pack questions, add them in and I'll answer when I can. The embargo has already lifted at time of posting and I'll break answers down into spoilers (if they are working yet, if not, replies) in case you just want to know some things and keep the rest a mystery. Format will be similar to past Q&As where I have links to each subject and add more info to each based on questions asked and as I discover things through gameplay. If you didn't see it the first time you look, check on the subject post again later. I'll add [WIP] if there's still info to come. Index to follow. Let me know if there's something I forgot. You know the drill... May your Mischief be merry, and your Luck be good! P.S. - I also have a Creator Code now, so if you find my Q&A useful you might consider it as an option at checkout. This doesn't give you a discount, but it would give me a 5% commission on price of the pack. If you wish to use it, my code is EmmaVane. Just enter the code on the the payment screen where promo codes normally go. Thank you, EA for this opportunity. I'm currently at a point in my current save where i'm at a writers block for stories. As i wrote my sim self out as the main character in my 2013 save, i'm beginning to wonder how long i can keep this current save up. I've been playing this save since 2021 (in real life) Here's a brief roundup of my sim self's life so far: He's had 14 children over four marriages. His first wife Liberty Lee divorced him after almost ten years of marriage. He married again in my 1989 save to his second wife Elena. They divorced in my 1993 save. In my 1995 save he married for a third time. Wife number three died from laughter in my 2003 save. My sim self married his current partner in my 2008 save and are still together in my 2014 save. My sim self was the main character for many saves until my 2013 save. He has a lot of grandchildren who are in their adult life or approaching adult life. I've been thinking about doing some kind of reboot with my sim self. On the old sims 4 forums, you never saw anything from his birth up to young adult hood. If i were to do a reboot, it would be a much smaller save and will attempt to follow the direction my real life has gone in. So i guess my question is, are smaller saves better to manage rather than rotational saves like my current save?Brd7094 hours agoSeasoned Ace72Views1like3CommentsLivestream: Enchanted By Nature Coming Today July 17

Hi everyone! I hope you're all enjoying the new forum so far. I know I am!! I'm Charla, a big fan of The Sims 4! ☺️ I was going to join on the old one, but, as it only had a week left I decided to wait until today. I loved lurking on the what happened in your game today thread so I thought would create a new one here. So what's happened in your game today? Today in my game I was playing as a character I created, Lauren Lord. She's an young adult, who dreams of being an author and a mom. Currently she's working as a school teacher, but today she had no work, she stayed at home and played chess and tended to her plants (when it wasn't raining!). I also made this new Sim :) hope the pic works! Look forward to seeing what's happening in your games. XCharlaSim7 hours agoSeasoned Adventurer68KViews95likes9760CommentsThe Sims On Social Media

A fellow Simmer let me know there was a mod to help out with the Emotional Void ailment that all but struck down my Rock Star. She noticed I had threatened to let that save sit until I could resolve this issue. I grabbed the mod all excited about it, but then, silly me, I installed it incorrectly. Full disclosure: I'M NOT NEW TO MODS. I thought the reason the mailbox cheat didn't work, and so therefore neither did the mod. However, before I did anything rash, such as uninstall it, I checked the site to find the instructions on how to enable said cheat. I forgot the vital testintcheats true before I shift-clicked the mailbox. That still didn't work, but then I took a look at the mod and realize I had unwittingly installed it two folders deep. It was clear to only place it one folder deep. I fixed that, needless to say, but since my Sim only had about 14 hours left to his ailment and another player had suggested purchasing a pill from the Apothecary table, I thought I'd do that. I sent him to Innis**** (can't recall the full name of the new world) after looking up where it was. Found one in the Gnom (shouldn't that be Gnome?) museum, but it didn't work so I sent him to the realm of the Faeries and got lucky enough to find a liaison to the Council. She was very kind, and my Sim was instantly attracted to her. I had to have him cool his jets, he's a very married man, after all. He was able to ask for a cure and voila, she cured him. YAY! I have other such tales, but none are coming to mind at the moment. Please share your silly moments so we can all have a good laugh at ourselves. Trust me, this is cathardic.67Views3likes4Comments- 184Views2likes6Comments
Enchanted By Nature Worth it Besides Fairies?
I gotta say although I enjoy having occults in the game I don’t play them near as often as I do regular sims. Does this expansion feel more than just its fairies, do the alignments and good and bad luck stuck to the new neighborhood or does it effect every world if you want it too? An unpopular opinion of mine was that one of my favorite expansion was Love Struck. I also enjoyed high school years because I felt like even though on the surface it didn’t seem like there was much, once you started messing with the new little things they expansion had it seemed to make a big difference in game play. Expanding and shifting it on levels I don’t think some noticed. Love struck completely shifted sims relationships to me. making it more complicated but surprising and fun. Does this expansion offer little things that make a big difference in sims day to day lives such as the new skills, the good bad luck? Maybe to some those things don’t matter but to me the idea of it adding more depth to the game is what I would want. So does this pack influence the game on a smaller day to day level or is it just all about the magical plants and fairy dust?brenjay9111 hours agoSeasoned Ace434Views3likes14CommentsPositive Thoughts Thread: Enchanted By Nature

Follow the whispers on the wind and unlock new woodworking and nature-themed rewards, including the new Reclaimed Woodworking Table, just for logging in! Get ready for a free, limited-time Event that begins on June 24, 2025 at 9 a.m. PST and ends on August 5, 2025, where you’ll need to venture into the great outdoors and hone your handiness skill to discover a long-hidden secret of nature. One fateful day, you hear a faint voice as you step outside. The voice is fleeting and is soon gone, as if carried away by the wind itself. Still, you long to hear it again, and so you journey forth to discover the source of the whispers. Your adventure will be rewarded throughout the Event with new free items such as The Wooden Throne outhouse. This new off-the-grid toilet can be the perfect place for Sims to handle their business out of doors, or even a spot for a little restroom rendezvous! How Does it Work? Open Live Mode with an existing or new Household. Your Sim will soon hear barely audible whispers in the wind, encouraging them to spend time outdoors and get in touch with nature, all with the hopes of hearing the mysterious voice again. As you progress, you’ll spend more time outdoors, level up your handiness with new woodworking recipes, and uncover the mysteries of nature. The more Quests you complete, the more Event Points and rewards you’ll earn. The Event will run for six weeks in total, with two new and exciting Quests each week for the first four weeks. The final two weeks of the Event is a grace period, where Simmers can catch-up, continue completing Quests, and claiming their rewards. How to take part in the Nature’s Calling Event: Make sure you’re online. Log in to your EA account. Enter Live Mode, where you’ll see the first pair of Quests, which start with a pop-up. In Live Mode, access the Event Screen by clicking on the Event Icon! Earn Event Points by completing Quests and Goals. As you earn Event Points, you’ll be able to claim new rewards. Claim your rewards through the Event Screen in the Main Menu or Live Mode by selecting Claim. Note: You must be in Live Mode to claim Consumable rewards. Claimed rewards will be available in Build Mode, Create a Sim, your Sim’s Personal Inventory, or the Household Inventory. Filter to view Event rewards using the Event Rewards filter. Find this under the Special drop-down in both Create a Sim and Build Mode. For more help with claiming rewards, check out our EA Help article. Each week, two new Quests will be available. Complete these Quests to earn more Event Points and unlock new rewards! Nature’s Calling Optional Goals Throughout the Nature’s Calling Event, you’ll have opportunities to earn extra Event Points through Optional Goals. These Optional Goals require you to own certain The Sims 4™ Expansion Packs in order to complete them. But fret not! None of these goals are required to complete the Nature’s Calling Quests and all non-consumable rewards will be earnable by all Simmers. Completing these goals will simply award bonus Event Points, allowing you to unlock rewards slightly faster and claim additional consumable rewards. These Optional Goals will be clearly denoted in the Quest panel. Note: Simmers who own the featured Expansion Packs will not be required to complete Option Goals in order to complete Quests. However, if all of the Required Goals for a Quest are completed prior to the completion of an Optional Goal, the Quest will be completed, and the Optional Goal will be lost, along with its associated Event Points. We recommend that Simmers prioritize the Optional Goals first before moving on to the Required Goals for a Quest. Expansion Packs featured in the Nature’s Calling Event Optional Goals include: The Sims™ 4 Cats & Dogs The Sims™ 4 Snowy Escape The Sims™ 4 Horse Ranch Expansion Pack The Sims™ 4 Lovestruck Week 1 Do-it-yourself with the Reclaimed Woodworking Table! I'm finally upgrading my game by adding a few small businesses to most worlds, and not limited to Nordhaven. I love the fact that SB actually doubles the number of lots as long as we are willing to add several functions to each lot, and in some cases also build higher. On most community lots there can be a living household, and most residentials can provide some SB that can be visited when playing other families. My goal is to add more businesses to visit. I have plenty of households already. I want each new SB to provide reasons for active sims to visit that lot, being a shop, have fun, socialize incl. dating, and perhaps building skills or support their interests for storytelling. The lecture feature seems nice, but I suspect it might take a higher ranked business to make the teaching good, financially. I changed a few lots and I keep getting back to a few questions - this or that. I might build a small business, but after completing the build, I realize that there are too few reasons for other played sims to visit as customers. Because I play rotationally building a business takes forever, so it's more fun to focus on the visiting aspect. I'm not sure I understand the SB concept fully, so I would like to learn about other simmers' experience. #1. Charging customers When do you chose charging per hour, and when is it better with once entrance charge? I tend to prefer charging per hour, but it requires customers to stay a while. If they pay only once, it would be better for my business that customers don't stay for long, but rather allow new customers to arrive. I also use per hour for shops, because my visiting sims would not stop by to buy anything if they need to pay a bigger entrance fee just to enter the shop. But I'm obviously missing something: When would it work better to charge customers just once? #2. Build two houses or two stories? Do you normally let the owners live upstairs, or do they reside in a 2nd building on the same lot? I tend to mix the two, vertically vs horizontically, and I keep thinking it would be better to separate them better. #3. Tagging the rooms? I normally restrict access to the private rooms, only, and perhaps also to the employee rooms. But some times I just leave the general business room untagged. Is this wrong, must they be tagged for business to work propperly? The reason I leave the business rooms, is that I often include some customer activity outdoors, like a pavement serving, or a small garden/park. Should they all be built as rooms in order to be seen as part of the business? #4. Is there a way to set an object not for sale? When placing items on surfaces, they automatically get set for sale, even if the business is not a shop and buying stuiff is not a customer activity. Occasionally I want to turn off "for sale" on a specific item. Is there a way? I placed a group serving in a cake display counter, and it got set on sale, as expected. Moving this item to a dining table will not remove the "for sale". By storing the serving in a fridge instead, moving it to the table avoid the "for sale". I think dining tables are excepted, but are there other ways to avoid the "for sale"? #5. How to avoid "eat until you drop"? We know sims gauin weight quickly, so I was a bit upset noticing that serving a group meal made the one c ustomer eat again and again until the serving was empty. The fact that the cupcakes were poor quality had no effect on this. Eating food is a customer activity, but with a total of 5 different activities I was expecting less focus on just one of them. Is there a way to serve food to customers (not being charged, but helping them staying) without the same sim eating again and again? Could it be trait specific (Foodie?), that it might not happen with every customer? #6. What features gets easier when SB rank builds? I play on rotation, so it will take years to build only one customer star. What bonuses that come with higher rank do you find most useful and worth reaching for? Okay, enough for now. Pls comment on whatever quote you like, or add more even.31Views1like1Comment
