CC Kit over Creator Kit?? Why??
I just recently learned that the different between a Creator Kit and a CC Kit is that a CC Kit is fully created by the CC creator where as the Creator Kit is built by the sims in collaboration by the influencer. My question is, why would I pay The Sims for these CC Kits when I could just go straight to the CC Creator?? Especially if the quality and Maxis Match won’t be the same as what’s expected in the game? I enjoy kids but I like that the quality of item is (generally) reliable and high, where as CC, depending on creator can be lacking. That being said CC creators are definitely carrying the content these days, but it’s not always reliable or consistent from creator to creator. So my question is why pay for a Creator kit when I can just go follow the creator independently?DeepPurpIe7 hours agoSeasoned Ace123Views2likes9Comments- radziwonadam21 hours agoNewcomer94Views0likes8Comments

Just wanted to say a quick "Welcome Back" to the Forums :).djsboonie2 days agoSeasoned Ace263Views13likes12CommentsCan you have an Ancient Bloodline Magic User from the start using CAS?
If one were to create a magic using sim, blend their genes to create a few generations within the starting house, would the end result be an ancient bloodline sim? I am really tempted to test this outOliverWilken6 days agoSeasoned Vanguard139Views3likes5CommentsExact values to calculate the bills & utilities
Sul Sul 😁 I'm working on a kind of Wikipedia for Sims for the German community. There's all sorts of random stuff in there. What exact values are used to calculate the bills & utilities? How are the following positions calculated (in consideration of traits, NPC Voting, neighborhood value etc.)? Lot Taxes Power Water Other Taxes Tax Breaks & Penalties I would like to have official data. Does anyone have an idea where I can get this or know of a resource where this has already been listed? So FairyHappy22 mentioned in another discussion that she was using challenges to help explore her play style. This got me thinking. What if we created a challenge where the whole purpose is too explore different play styles? The challenge would assume that the player only has base game, and could be used as part of the decision making process for prioritizing DLC. At the same time, if the player has DLC they can certainly use it in the challenge. I can think of seven play styles: Builder-A simmer who spends hours on end in build mode designing homes or venues Fashionista-A simmer who spends hours on end in CAS customizing sims and their outfits. Family-A simmer who plays with more than one generation in a household, usually including children. Level Up-A simmer who likes to help their sims earn achievements: mastering skills, reaching the top of a career, completing aspirations, completing challenges. Occult-A simmer who likes a supernatural element to their play. This can include playing with occult life states, as well as having human sims encounter paranormal phenomena. Party-Some times called the "Young Adult" play style. This play style is all about helping their sim have a fun social life: romance, friendships, going out to venues and trying experiences. Chaos-These simmers want to cause misery and destruction in their game. They like experimenting with different death types. They sometimes make bad things happen to their sim, they sometimes use their sim as an instrument of chaos on other sims. I'm thinking this would be a rotational challenge with four households, one for each game play style other than occults: a family household, a level up household, a party household and a chaos household. I don't think there's any way to properly explore occult game play in the base game, but the chaos household could explore the ghost life state as part of their challenge, so that sort of gets at it. There would also be different build and CAS rules attached to different households to help explore the builder and fashionista play styles. The player would initially spend one sim week in each household. In later rotations they can shorten a stay down to three days or lengthen it up to two weeks based on how engaged they are in the game play for the current household. The only restrictions are that aging should be turned off for played sims other than the active household (want to keep the other households on ice till you get back to them), and each household is forbidden to use cheats related to the house hold challenge. So, the Level up house hold can't use cheats for careers, skills or aspirations. The Party household can't cheat up relationships. The Family household can't cheat up their children's needs, grades or relationships. Anything goes in the Chaos household. So what do you think? Did I miss any play styles? Any suggestions for goals for the different households? Any bright ideas on how to properly explore occult play, or would a person just have to buy one of the occult game packs?BissenNess7 days agoSeasoned Ace114Views3likes2CommentsI'm putting together 8 sims with the worst traits for their aspirations!
I like to give them a little extra adversity, they are not allowed to switch aspiration until their first one is complete and I want them all to have at least one trait that will be a hindrance, some can be for flavour to truly add to the unfitting personality. Like no one would expect them to succeed in this. I'm still working on finalising it, but here is what I have so far: Crime boss: Good, neat, generous. Sort of a Robin Hood type. Bodybuilder: Glutton, lazy, non-commitical. Starts overweight too. Fabulously wealthy: Clumsy, lazy, slob. Not sure yet about this one, might look to switch it for something else. Ace Angler: Squeamish, high maintenance, neat. I envision a neurotic city girl whose father was a great fisherman and she gets mocked when she returns to the small town, but she'll prove them wrong. Inner Peace: Hothead, erratic, grouch. I feel like those are the least peaceful traits. Neighbourhood Confidante: Mean, hates children, snob. Someone who really thinks she know what is best for you. Serial romantic: Unflirty, cringe, jealous. Very much someone who thinks he is cool but no one else shares that opinion. Spellcraft and sorcery: Sceptic, active, bro. Pretty much a sceptical jock exploring what he thinks is all nonsense. That's what I currently have, I try to avoid too much trait overlap. I might make some related but all will be adults. Suggestions for other aspirations are welcome too, or maybe even worse traits for any of these aspirations. And hey if you like the idea feel free to use it.thefirsttemplar7 days agoSeasoned Ace139Views8likes6CommentsWell this will be fun! (Updated Jan. 24th 2025)
So for the last couple of weeks, I've been trying to figure out my play style so I can start having fun with this game. I've tried legacy challenges, 100 Baby Challenges, NSB Challenge and I come to find out I don't like being tethered to rules of a so called 'challenges' and then I always end up restarting. Heck, I was even remodeling some starter homes and got bored of that real quick. I do know I like family gameplay and playing Sims that have to work for their wealth. So that brings me to a YouTuber I started watching a lot lately called WhinyBrit. She does a lot of videos where she has a Sim who has to earn money to renovate a run down piece of crap house. That's sounds like a LOT of fun. Since I have a Sim that's dedicated to horses, running a ranch and all of that, I decided to use a rundown farmhouse like Whiny Brit. I have a feeling I'm going to have a lot of fun with this since I love doing projects like this, especially since I feel I've gotten a lot better at building in this game. Wish me luck, because the farmhouse is REALLY bad. I'll post some pictures of it and credit the gallery uploader Original uploader: Daniel_SimFansDE Reuploaded by ibag2 Pictures And to add to the fun, I am not going to let him have a family, get into a relationship or get any animals until this house is in tip top shape.FairyHappy227 days agoSeasoned Ace227Views9likes5CommentsAHQ Merging With EA Forums

I'm looking forward to the event, and the in-game items that it will be giving I still have the CDs for The Sims, Living Large, House Party, and Hot Date. Even though I missed Sims 2 and Sims 3. Its fantastic that the entire history of the franchise is being celebrated. What is your favorite memory about the Sims, throughout its 25 years?OliverWilken8 days agoSeasoned Vanguard302Views5likes10CommentsWhat Is Blast From The Past Leading Up To?
Hi. I was just thinking about the Blast From The Past event coming up and the speculation about it leading up to a new DLC like the Reaper's Rewards event led up to the Life and Death Expansion. I've heard people say they think it will be a theme related to burglars which they say might be coming to the game. I also heard someone say it might be time travel themed because of some debug items. But there is a banner that seems to be for the Blast From The Past event in the EA App and it suggests that the Blast From The Past event will be themed around a time travel heist. I saw a simmer point out on YouTube that all the rewards for the event will be items reminiscent of previous games in the franchise. What if the Blast From The Past event is leading up to a new DLC that brings older content from previous games in the franchise to Sims 4? What do you think Blast From the Past is leading up to? Do you see any counter evidence to my theory? Any additional thoughts along the same lines? Different theories that you think better explain things? Let me know in your replies.PlumbThespian8 days agoSeasoned Newcomer662Views5likes14CommentsLovestruck worth it on sale?
Do you guys think lovestruck is worth getting on sale? I am doubting because I don't see myself using the blind date feature. I like to match up my sims couples myself. I do occasionally send my couples on dates , mostly restaurants. What I do like about the pack is the world, some of the cc and build/buy. The woohoo rug and costumes look fun. Is there anything else that's worth mentioning? Getting lovestruck will mean adding another must have mod, specifically to disable romantic satisfaction decay for households I am not playing. Lumpinou has a few options to achieve this.atreya338 days agoLegend458Views4likes16CommentsPossible Copyright Issue
Hi, I created this account because I recently saw an ad for a mobile game called “Modern Communities” that SEEMS to be using photos and videos of the Sims 4 with some CC in all its ads. I have attached a few photos of their ads. I am unsure how exactly to report this so I figured posting it here might help. (These are the same people who make Project Makeover and Matchington Mansion, two other games with seemingly fake ads).91Views3likes1Comment- 417Views14likes7Comments
