Rabbit inside a ghost?
Since Life & Death there is a rabbit head inside the chest of some of my ghosts. First I thought it was related to "Killed by bunny" cheat, which I use often, but I would like to know if it comes with any extra feature that I am not aware of. When I checked a ghosts over a few hours the rabbit head appeared but then was gone. Is it connected to mood swings? Thinking of it, I'm pretty sure I saw the tiny head inside a ghost from a played sim that recently died without my help, so no "killed by bunny" in that case. I can't be 100% sure I did see the rabbit on him though. Any insight?Simmerville15 hours agoLegend23Views0likes0CommentsNature's Calling Event (Coming Tomorrow! June 24)
Follow the whispers on the wind and unlock new woodworking and nature-themed rewards, including the new Reclaimed Woodworking Table, just for logging in! Get ready for a free, limited-time Event that begins on June 24, 2025 at 9 a.m. PST and ends on August 5, 2025, where you’ll need to venture into the great outdoors and hone your handiness skill to discover a long-hidden secret of nature. One fateful day, you hear a faint voice as you step outside. The voice is fleeting and is soon gone, as if carried away by the wind itself. Still, you long to hear it again, and so you journey forth to discover the source of the whispers. Your adventure will be rewarded throughout the Event with new free items such as The Wooden Throne outhouse. This new off-the-grid toilet can be the perfect place for Sims to handle their business out of doors, or even a spot for a little restroom rendezvous! How Does it Work? Open Live Mode with an existing or new Household. Your Sim will soon hear barely audible whispers in the wind, encouraging them to spend time outdoors and get in touch with nature, all with the hopes of hearing the mysterious voice again. As you progress, you’ll spend more time outdoors, level up your handiness with new woodworking recipes, and uncover the mysteries of nature. The more Quests you complete, the more Event Points and rewards you’ll earn. The Event will run for six weeks in total, with two new and exciting Quests each week for the first four weeks. The final two weeks of the Event is a grace period, where Simmers can catch-up, continue completing Quests, and claiming their rewards. How to take part in the Nature’s Calling Event: Make sure you’re online. Log in to your EA account. Enter Live Mode, where you’ll see the first pair of Quests, which start with a pop-up. In Live Mode, access the Event Screen by clicking on the Event Icon! Earn Event Points by completing Quests and Goals. As you earn Event Points, you’ll be able to claim new rewards. Claim your rewards through the Event Screen in the Main Menu or Live Mode by selecting Claim. Note: You must be in Live Mode to claim Consumable rewards. Claimed rewards will be available in Build Mode, Create a Sim, your Sim’s Personal Inventory, or the Household Inventory. Filter to view Event rewards using the Event Rewards filter. Find this under the Special drop-down in both Create a Sim and Build Mode. For more help with claiming rewards, check out our EA Help article. Each week, two new Quests will be available. Complete these Quests to earn more Event Points and unlock new rewards! Nature’s Calling Optional Goals Throughout the Nature’s Calling Event, you’ll have opportunities to earn extra Event Points through Optional Goals. These Optional Goals require you to own certain The Sims 4™ Expansion Packs in order to complete them. But fret not! None of these goals are required to complete the Nature’s Calling Quests and all non-consumable rewards will be earnable by all Simmers. Completing these goals will simply award bonus Event Points, allowing you to unlock rewards slightly faster and claim additional consumable rewards. These Optional Goals will be clearly denoted in the Quest panel. Note: Simmers who own the featured Expansion Packs will not be required to complete Option Goals in order to complete Quests. However, if all of the Required Goals for a Quest are completed prior to the completion of an Optional Goal, the Quest will be completed, and the Optional Goal will be lost, along with its associated Event Points. We recommend that Simmers prioritize the Optional Goals first before moving on to the Required Goals for a Quest. Expansion Packs featured in the Nature’s Calling Event Optional Goals include: The Sims™ 4 Cats & Dogs The Sims™ 4 Snowy Escape The Sims™ 4 Horse Ranch Expansion Pack The Sims™ 4 Lovestruck Week 1 Do-it-yourself with the Reclaimed Woodworking Table! Bring a little bit of nature to your backyard with the Cove Stones decorative rocks set. Then set out for a hike in your rugged new Trail Sandals! The Wooden Throne outhouse Cove Stones decorative rocks Trail Sandals Touch Grass Weekly, Issue #4 FAQ Do I need to log in to my EA account? A: Yes, by logging into your EA account, you save your Event progress and the rewards you earn from this Event to the account. That way, if you ever need to install The Sims 4 again, you simply need to log back in to gain access to your rewards! Are SDX releases still expected this year? A: Sims Delivery Express drops aren’t going away, but we're always looking for new and novel ways to deliver gameplay, as well as objects and clothing to add to your Sims' lives. You can still expect SDX releases throughout the year as well as new Events to engage with The Sims 4 throughout the seasons. What if I log in and don’t see the Event? A: The Event starts on 6/24/25 at 9 a.m. PST and ends on 8/5/25. Please make sure you are online and logged into your EA Account. If you still do not see it, you may need to restart The Sims 4 or disable any UI mods you have installed. Event Quests may also appear minimized for new players and players with Emily Guidance enabled. To help new players focus on learning, Events appear minimized for the early stages of the game. To jump into the Event immediately, click on the Event Goals widget (the little plumbob) in the top left. The Nature’s Calling Event will be available to players until 8/5/25. While no new Quests will be added after 7/22/25, players can still complete Quests and claim any Event Rewards that they've earned but not yet claimed from the Event Screen. Rewards must be claimed by 8/5/25 or be lost. Will this be available to Everyone? A: Yes! Nature’s Calling Event will be available to everyone starting June 24th, and you won’t need any Packs to participate. What are Event Points? A: Event Points are a limited-time measurement for the Nature's Calling Event that allows you to claim free rewards. As you earn Event Points, you progress along an experience track and can claim rewards along the way. How do I earn Event Points? A: Each Objective in a Quest gives Event Points. Mousing over the Quest will have a tooltip telling you how many points you will earn. Completing the entire Quest nets additional Event Points. Once you have enough, you can claim rewards. Do I have to spend Event Points? A: Your Event Points are a cumulative total. When you claim a reward, you still stay at the same Event Point total, so your Event Points aren’t actually “spent.” What happens if I have leftover Event Points? A: The Nature's Calling Event offers a finite number of rewards. If you claim them all and still have Event Points, don’t worry! Your Event Points cannot be used for anything other than the Nature's Calling Event and will expire when the Event is over. Can I still complete the Event if I start late? A: Yes, the Event will run for 6 weeks. If you start late, you will have access to all the previous week’s Quests. What are Optional Goals? A: Optional Goals are Quest Goals that require you to own a specific The Sims 4™ expansion pack to complete. As the name suggests, these Quest Goals are optional and not required to complete the Event Quests. Please also note that the expansion pack must also be installed for the Optional Goal to be completed. Can I complete the Event without completing the Optional Goals? A: Yes. All Event Quests are completable without completing the Optional Goals. All non-consumable rewards will be earnable without completing Optional Goals. What are the rewards for completing Optional Goals? A: Simmers that complete the Optional Goals will be rewarded with bonus Event Points, which will allow them to claim additional consumable rewards such as Simoleons, Aspiration Points, and potions. Can I purchase the expansion pack required for an Optional Goal after receiving the Optional Goal? A: Yes. As long as the Optional Goal is still active and the Weekly Quest it is part of has not yet been completed, you can purchase the expansion pack required for an Optional Goal. Just make sure to complete the Optional Goal prior to completing the Weekly Quest. Additionally, if you do not own the expansion pack required for an Optional Goal, clicking on the Optional Goal from the Live Mode Quest Panel will show you where to purchase the expansion pack. Can I go back and complete the Optional Goals after completing the Event? A: No. Once a Weekly Quest is completed, the Optional Goals in that Weekly Quest will be lost. We recommend that Simmers complete the Optional Goals before completing the Weekly Quest. https://www.ea.com/games/the-sims/the-sims-4/news/natures-calling-dev-diary2.1KViews26likes83CommentsCollecting in Sims 4
Until very recently, I was never really interested in the different collections in the game, but then I started trying to collect frogs, and then I got interested in gemology and metals, and now I'm really wanting to complete a few collections. It just seems that my sims don't find things all that often. Today I have an "Outdoor Enthusiast" exploring Granite Falls. I read that it was easy to find 10 unidentified plants with a simple walk. Uh, well, my sim has been hiking for hours and hours and hours, and he's found 3 wild plants and 1 bit of metal. He has collected a few insects along the way, but I was really hoping to complete this milestone aspiration and come up with 10 unidentified plants. I looked through the "Rewards" section to see if there were any rewards that might make it more likely for my sim to find collectibles. I didn't see anything. Are there specific traits I might change out for him that would help? Any tips on making it easier to complete collections? It's fun, but only up to a point. When I just can't seem to find anything, it gets a bit frustrating. :)87dc672b89d5b4032 days agoNew Traveler102Views2likes13CommentsSim Your Summer Sale

Just how much does romance with Lovestruck decline in your game? I honestly play 1 game only, meaning I typically 'resume' my game. I create a new save after each update and delete the 'old' save. I have always played this way. I am CC/MOD free. I play with aging off and sometimes will play 1 family for many sim years. So... just how much do I have to care about the romance levels using Lovestruck? General discussion gets very often, if not daily, some threads where simmers ask for help about what pack they should buy 😊 What is of course a great thing to ask, however, would be nice if all those asks were all at same place.😉 This thread is for this purpose, tell us your playstyle or any detail you wish, to make it easier to give you suggestions 😊 Also here something to help you with the decision : https://simscommunity.info/2024/02/26/sims-4-pack-guide/92Views5likes3CommentsPositive Thoughts Thread: Enchanted By Nature (Build/Buy Preview Added)

...Remove from your game if you had to, and why those ones? So, because my computer is neither the newest nor the best, it's been getting to the point lately that the regular The SIms 4 updates were requiring me to uninstall and remove other things from my computer, in order to stay updated. That, along with the fact that I found I wasn't crazy about some of the things added into the game with some of the EP's and GP's that I bought and had installed; made me do some serious thinking. SO, I decided to uninstall my Sims 4 game completely, then reinstall it but CHOOSE WHICH "add ons" I wanted to have in the game this time around. (I ALSO wanted to make sure I'd have room on my computer for the new "Enchanted By Nature" expansion pack coming out July 10th! I am SO excited about that one!) Here's the list of the ones I choose NOT to have downloaded/added into my game: Eco Lifestyle Expansion Pack. Get To Work Expansion Pack. High School Years Expansion Pack. Home Chef Hustle Stuff Pack. Star Wars: Journey To Batuu Game Pack. Lovestruck Expansion Pack. Snowy Escape Expansion Pack. StrangerVille (I think this one was a Game Pack?). My Wedding Stories Game Pack, For Rent Expansion Pack. Cats & Dogs Expansion Pack. Discover University Expansion Pack. The list of the EP's, GP's, SP's and kits I chose to have downloaded/added back into my game again, is simply TOO long for me to list. Suffice it to say I own all the EP'S, most of the GP'S and several of the SP'S as well as some kits! LOL! I find that I am NOT MISSING the packs of all types that I first listed, as choosing not to have them added back into my game. But I know there's some game features as well as much of the CAS and Build/Buy that I AM missing. I waver back and forth between wanting to add at least some of the ones that I chose not to have added back into my game again, for that reason alone. But...I don't think that ultimately, I will. Maybe a few, I've not decided...SEE how I waver back and forth, gah! LOL Again! So, my very long winded post is just basically asking; If YOU had to uninstall your game and then reinstall and choose which packs and kits you wanted to add back in and which to forgo (Mostly because of lack of room on your computer but also because you found that you didn't like some things about some of those packs)...Which ones would YOU choose to not add back into your game again and why? I look forward to reading everyone's replies and maybe sparking some discussion on the topic matter!223Views3likes13CommentsEnchanted by nature: Fairy discussion
With fairies finally officially confirmed by the trailer and the blog post I think it is time to have a proper discussion about them, similar to how we already a have a world discussion about the new pack as well. Here are some screenshots. I will add a list with what we know so far in the first post. Please feel free to join in on what you think of them so far. What we know so far (I tried to include the source if I know it) fairycore fashion (trailer and description in EA app) new facial features, skin tones and glowing tattoos (description in EA app) optional CAS assets for antlers, horns and hooves (CAS trailer) fairy form and normal sim form (description in EA app) paint wings in CAS (confirmed in CAS trailer) Start as a fairy in CAS or become one through gameplay (description in EA app) able to size down and regular size (trailer) able to create fairy dust which can be used by any sim (description in EA app) Fairies are nourished by emotions, have emotional energy and can die of emotional starvation (description in EA app) absorb emotions from sims or from bottled Emotion Potions (blog post) Flying animation for pregnant sims (trailer) two fairy paths: Harmonious Fairy and Discordant Fairy (blog post) power to nourish plants (blog post) power to change the mood of others (blog post) Fairy aspirations (seen in CAS trailer)821Views15likes35Comments[Help] Packs for my Playstyle
Background (this can be skipped): I am a late starter to Sims 4, as I was a Sims 3 player really put off by Sims 4, I was almost tempted to get when Realm of Magic was released but didn't. But Life & Death intrigued me enough to try out Sims 4. So I grabbed a bunch of occult packs RoM, Vampires, Werewolves, Get to Work (for Aliens and crystals)... then some complimentary packs (most when on sale) such as Crystal Creations, Cottage Living, Seasons, Paranormal, Jungle Adventure and Snowy Escape (for crystals (JA) and I was a big fan of Sims 3 WA, the Shang Simla world being my fav), Outdoor Retreat (for insects and herbalism). As a fan of the idea of running a business or having restaurants Dine Out, Cool Kitchen and Home Chef Hustle. And I plan on getting Enchanted by Nature. Playstyle: I do not play families with babies, kids and teens. So the generations type packs I am avoiding. I also not a fan of clubbing, dancing, pub activities, university, etc. Also I find I never can get myself to interrupt Sims to go to festivals or do holiday events/actions. So far I don't really play careers, as I prefer self-employment skill careers. I do like skill leveling: gardening, cooking, etc. collecting, building, leveling through occult ability trees, etc. But I feel my Sims could use more depth. I hoped lifestyles from Snowy Retreat was more complex and help a Sim align to certain habits and behaviour better. What I need help with: What I'd like help with is deciding on other packs. I am worried that certain packs will overpower/overwhelm gameplay so much I won't like it. I play with some mods, because I hated my Sims on the phone, or leveling Comedy skill/telling jokes all the time. My roleplay is often fantasy or science fiction, so too modern time activities can lose immersion. But I don't want to rely on having to have a mod if I am to get a said pack. (FYI, I'll probably wait for sales too) Lovestruck Y/N? So I thought since I skip families and baby making, adding romance complexity and some complication with Lovestruck could force me to balance out my skill focus with more social/romance focus. But I see mixed reviews on the relationship decay feature. I also thought it might be fun aligning certain Sims turn-ons/turn-offs to make more ideal/made for each other couples. But I also like to not make it too easy on them, like giving one Sim the Jealous trait (how well does that work with Lovestruck?). Horse Ranch Y/N? I don't play with Horses but I love the idea of Farm Hands, Nectar Making and the mini goats and sheep. Or maybe the eventual cross-pack release of Unicorns. But is that enough to buy it? Is there features in this pack that are annoying or overpower gameplay? Cats & Dogs Y/N? I love animals, dogs especially in real life but how much do they have influence in the game, are the high needs/maintenance like children? Or well balanced? Get Famous Y/N? I love the CAS and Build/Buy but fear and hate celebrity systems/paparazzi. Does this happen/get annoying or overpower gameplay? Get Together Y/N? World and Build/Buy looks amazing but I don't really play the social outing aspects of the game. Is that enough to buy it? Island Living Y/N? Mermaids! but heard they are lackluster. Worried townies will start wearing island clothing in inappropriate worlds. Also worried the randomized townies (and names) will be overpowered by Polynesian Sims, I like my Japanese randomized townies from Snowy Escape, so it isn't that I don't like diversity, I just down want to be overrun by them—when I am happy with my current ethnicity influenced game. Business & Hobbies Y/N? I am not sure about this; as it is a variation of Get to Work businesses. Or suggestions of something I didn't already mention. Thank you in advance for your input and suggestions.HollownessDevour7 days agoRising Scout178Views2likes8CommentsNew Patch June 17

Hi Simmers, I just thought I'd share something personal. Two years ago, I was in a coma and woke up completely paralyzed. During that time, I missed The Sims — and this community — more than I can express. I had to stop reading the forums after a few months because it was just too hard. The Sims community has always been such a big source of comfort and a creative outlet for me. Yesterday, for the first time in over two years, I was finally able to play The Sims 4 again. I actually cried during the loading screen. Like full on runny nose, headache inducing crying. LOL It was like coming home, or getting a tiny part of the old me back. My birthday is coming up next week, and I’m so incredibly happy to not have to miss out on my favorite birthday tradition again this year. I'm gonna grab a slice a cake and burn some poor sims house down LOL I’ve really missed being part of this community. I probably won’t post much since typing is still difficult and painful, but I’m so happy to be here again — even if I’m just quietly lurking in the background. 💛 Thanks for being here. cass ps, can someone give me advice on what to start saving up for? I missed 4 (ish) expansion packs and tons of kits and stuff. Recommendations please!cassandrastryffe8 days agoNew Adventurer520Views40likes31CommentsThe Sims On Social Media
