BF6 Portal vs BF2042 Portal
Hi All, Myself and a couple of friends regularly play BF2042 but only our own game modes in Portal. We've got no interest in XP, progression, challenges. We create modes that we enjoy and then play them until we're bored and then think of something different we'd like to implement. So it's just the three of us. We're all looking at getting BF6 at some point (i'm not a fan of all the balancing, rebalancing, drip feed of content, new bugs in updates and so on, so we're waiting for things to settle down). I do have some questions on BF6/Portal if anyone is able to answer. Our most popular mode is a variation on VTDM (2042), is this mode available in Bf6 or is it possible to create it (I suppose you could start with conquest, remove all flags, redesign the scoring system to be based on kills). You didn't have to do this in 2042, because VTDM exists, but we like to play a 2v1 deathmatch with vehicles on large maps, so I'd like to re-implement that in 6. BF2042 Portal has team swap in the block editor. Is this present in BF6 Portal. BF2042 can also use the call-in system, which we've found quite useful in our game modes. For example, if you're outgunned and you're looking for a way out (bring down a Pondhawk), or a helicopter is causing mayhem (Wildcat). Are call-ins a thing in 6 or can they be implemented (drop [vehicle] on the X,Y,Z location of the user. Would need some sort of submenu to list vehicle types available?). This is very much a nice-to-have vs a must-have. If you have to return to base to get another vehicle that's fine. It's just the 3 of us, when we play it's just 2v1. No AI. As I mentioned earlier, we're not interested in earning anything like XP. Can we implement a 2v1 no AI game mode or is there a minimum number of players. For those of you that created modes in BF2042/Portal, is there anything that is no longer available, I'm thinking of either blocks in the editor or options in the menus. For example, we prefer to play with no health regen, soldier speed maxed out (to get across the maps quicker as infantry), ammo set to infinite (across primary, secondary and gadgets) are all those options still present or are there some things that have just disappeared. Hello, I have received bf6 soldier skin reward from Nvidia APP. It's redirecting me to EA.com to redeem. However, I bought the game from steam platform. I do not see the game in my EA library. I usually play Casual Breakthrough. It is a great mode that allows players to enjoy the game even during times when there are not many players online. However, there is a major issue: bots can use vehicles. Bots often enter the battlefield with weak equipment and are quickly destroyed. This repeatedly wastes vehicles that could have been used more effectively by human players. In many cases, bots also take vehicles before players have a chance to spawn with them. Additionally, bots sometimes move outside the map and explode due to the out-of-bounds penalty, which wastes vehicles even further. Losing a match because of these situations is extremely frustrating and creates a very poor gameplay experience. PC Vs Consoles
Please give PC the option to turn off crossplay. They're crying about it anyway and us consoles prefer not to deal with their cheats anyway.... it should be 3 options... crossplay (all platforms), crossplay (consoles onley) and crossplay(off). It’s WAY past time for BF6 to eliminate the operator aim guided munitions for the M1A1 Abrams or the MBT. This weapon does not exist in real life and has no business being in the game. It allows unrealistic targeting of aircraft and insane non point of sight kills. If they still feel a need for AA then buff the tank, or create a range around the AA tank that allows shoulder fire weapons to be faster lock on using the tank to increase nearby weapons lock on due to its onboard radar. If it’s not real it doesn’t belong in the game. This isn’t COD. range finder now has a delay after pressing the keybind? No wonder everything has been missing like crazy. how about some sort of notification on changes like this? BF6 Season 2: Rooftops & Ladders
Rooftops and ladder usage have been negated altogether with an out-of-bounds alert on Breakthrough maps, etc. The ladder was already a very limited gadget, and most maps don't make much use of it. Small maps could be expanded by expanding vertical space and create a more dynamic battle environment by allowing players to use all of the terrain that is there and get to special vantage points that can create fatal funnels, etc. From military experience, snipers naturally are going to want to have spaces where they have cover, concealment, and can shoot down on the target. I understand that some players don't like these sniper nests but that is why BF6 should have fully destructible buildings like in BF4. If there is a sniper nest, then bring the whole building down with some C4 or one can play as a counter-sniper. I am bothered that war is not two-dimensional but that seems to be where this season is going given the patching out of the ladder usage points and the higher perches for snipers. It is also a bummer that you don't have signature events in the maps like launching the rocket on the Orbital map in BF2042. In the future, I hope that they allow buildings to be fully destroyed instead of certain segments which is both unrealistic and limits tactical options.SolvedBAMonUR629 days agoSeasoned Newcomer290Views1like3CommentsNo way to create a solo-mode
Portal is a joke. No way to create a solo-modes anymore, even without XP progression. At this point I have spent less than 5 hours in the game and have lost interest in playing anymore. I want my money back since it has been a total waste, but that's not how capitalism works. I will not be purchasing any more battlefield games since this was such a disappointment. Why remove such a powerful and sought after feature? I much preferred battlefield over COD, but both have now fallen from favor. Before anybody blames me for preferring a solo-experience; this WAS part of the vision they shared. This WAS part of the game closer to launch. So this guy called [Edit - CM] was spamming the in-game chat with harassments, insults, toxic slurs, and then he urged me to [Edit - CM], because I called him out for blocking the heli and he wasted the entire round camping at the base. Battlefield 6 Community Feedback: Vehicle Selection & Realism Expansion
1. Aircraft Selection System (Inspired by Battlefield V): in BF6 In Battlefield V, players had the tactical freedom to choose from a variety of aircraft (Fighters, Stukas, Bombers) based on the match situation. We need this system back for modern titles: Diverse Fleet: Include icons like the A-10 Warthog (Ground Attack), F-15 Eagle (Air Superiority), and F-35 (Multi-role). Player Choice: Players should be able to select their preferred jet from a "Collection" at the deploy screen, rather than being forced into a single generic jet. 2. Immersive Visual Realism (Gore & Combat Damage): To move away from the "plastic" feel of current soldiers, we suggest: Dynamic Battle Damage: Uniforms should show mud, snow, and blood based on the environment and injuries. Critical Damage State: Explosions (Tank shells, Grenades) should cause visible limb damage and prevent revives. There will be a BF PRO for each season? like: Season 1 BF PRO + Season Pass Season 2 BF PRO + Season Pass Season 3 BF PRO + Season Pass .... .... ? I got the BF PRO - Phanto Edition on of Battlefield 6. So, I already have the BF PRO? Or I will have to buy another BF PRO for Season 2? Lately I seen groups of players spelling out racist names during matches. Reporting sucks since each individual spells out a few letters so reports won’t show the full extent of what’s being written buy these groups. We should be able to show them the whole Chat. Also at end of the match why does chat disappear to only squads? Whats the point of paying for battlepass pro if your points dont accrue? FROSTLINE PATH) I literally for 2 days only had a little left to be 100% complete. I read it could be due to bots, so I made sure not to play matches like casual breakthrough. Heck all I wanted was the flamed skull emblem. Hope they get this stuff fixed.
