Security Requirements on BF6 on PCs!
I'd like to know if the requirements shown in the photo are ALL mandatory in the new BF6, since, for example, in BF2042, only Secure Boot was required?! The requirements in BF6 are: TPM 2.0 Enable Secure Boot Enable HVCI Capable VBS CapableSolvedK9Port2 months agoNew Rookie5KViews4likes367CommentsControversial Topic, but... Female Soldiers.
I'd like to start by saying I hope we can all be adults here while going through this topic. Two ideas can exist simultaneously, and those for me are that I have respect for women who serve or want to serve in frontline combat roles while at the same time I don't think they should. I believe that the capacity for violence and the burden put on those who commit it should be relegated to men. The ability to make war is a terrible yet necessary thing and when it comes down to it, men are simply more naturally inclined to be better at it and have a greater desire to do it. The entire basis of human nature is structured on men doing whatever is necessary to protect women and children. I obviously know that there are some who disagree with me here, but I also know that there are many who agree. There is also absolutely nothing misogynistic or sexist about these views, and it's okay to say that. People who hold this opinion don't believe any silly nonsense like "women are inferior" or anything like that, we simply believe that men and women are different and that's okay. So, why do I say all of this and why am I bringing up a topic that I know is going to be so controversial? I do it because I would like to ask Dice and EA to give us the ability to toggle female soldiers. I'm sorry if this offends some, but I'm sure some agree with me; I just don't want to play a war game with women in it. I don't want to hear women shouting as they're dying, I don't want to be firing at women, I just don't like it. I know there are women in combat roles in the modern age (though they are very few and far between), but it also still breaks the immersive experience to me. The most obviously egregious example of this was Battlefield V, and we all know how that controversy went. I hope that the world is in a more mature place to discuss something like this now and I feel like a toggle that gives everybody the option to play how they want isn't asking for too much. I'd also like to make it clear that I don't feel the same way about women in the military in general. I believe they definitely can excel in plenty of other roles such as in aviation, communication, command; it's just the frontline combat roles, which is what Battlefield is all about. And for my female gamers out there who enjoy these games, I think that's great and I want you to feel like you belong. These opinions have no relation to the idea of female gamers. Battlefield is a communal experience but at the same time is an individual experience for each of us who play. I know that after the madness of the last decade or so it's difficult to speak up on topics like this but I hope those who feel the same way aren't afraid to anymore. I know some would be offended and that we would get all of the articles from the "big" gaming outlets that no one cares about anymore but I hold out hope that with Dice and EA doing so much right on this game that maybe they'll have the guts to ignore the loud minority on something like this. I have full confidence that in the moment we're in a decision like this would not impact sales of a game that is shaping up to be so good. Even implementation after launch would be great. I hope that this is allowed to be posted here and that EA doesn't flag it as inappropriate or anything like that. For anyone who reads or engages with it, I appreciate your time.DomiPastrami2 months agoSeasoned Rookie3.7KViews78likes318Comments[UPDATE] Battlefield 6 Update: On Secure Boot & Cheats
Hey folks, AC from the SPEAR Anti-Cheat Team here, hope everyone's having fun in the Battlefield 6 Open Beta! I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge some of the feedback around cheating in the game, especially around Secure Boot. On Secure Boot, I want to be clear that Secure Boot is not, and was not intended to be a silver bullet. Secure Boot is how you're helping us build up our arsenal. It’s another barrier that helps us make it harder for cheat developers to create cheat programs, and makes it easier for us to detect it when they do. There are certain signals that we can only trust when Secure Boot is enabled, which we spoke of before in our previous posts, like here https://steamcommunity.com/app/2807960/discussions/0/600785827026563959/. One example, Secure Boot prevents your machine from running with vulnerable drivers enabled. So if Secure Boot is running and we see those drivers loaded, we know something's a bit off. I also wanted to thank you all for taking the time to report cheaters, cheat programs and specific clips to us. Your reports help us zero in and lead us to finding up and coming cheat communities, reporting one actual cheater often can lead to new detection techniques and help us keep them from impacting your experience. Since Open Beta Early Access’s launch: Javelin has prevented 330,000 attempts to cheat or tamper with anti-cheat controls. You’ve reported 44,000 instances of potential cheaters during day one and another 60,000 so far today. We are already using these with our own Gameplay Integrity team to add and improve our detections for Battlefield 6. They are also working with the Battlefield Positive Play team, to actively remove those reported we confirm to be cheaters. Anti-Cheat isn't one and done, it's an ever evolving battlefield, and what has worked for us previously or in different games doesn't always work in all of them. I hope this helps, and please keep the reports coming in - we'll continue cleaning up the cheaters so you can have a fair game. We’re looking forward to the Open Beta tomorrow, and if you need to, the best way to help combat cheaters in Battlefield 6 is by reporting them via their profiles on the score screen. See you on the Battlefield! - ACAntiCheatWard2 months agoEA Anticheat Team32KViews63likes234CommentsOpen vs locked weapons per class
Traditionally Battlefield has always been about classes, and with that came class locked weapons. This how it was and how it should be! One of the big mistakes they made with BF2042 was to first introduce specialists, and next they gave these specialists access to ALL weapons. Later on they partially fixed the issue by implementing back the class system, however weapons remained open. With the open beta we have a chance to make our voices being heard! As I'm sure they will be monitoring traffic towards what people want to play, let's make our actions speak louder than our words by all ignoring the Conquest mode and pick Closed Weapon Conquest instead. And from there I hope the message will be clear to the developers that we need closed weapons in ALL game modes!Solved4.9KViews21likes83CommentsDisappointed by Battlefield 6’s Lack of Linux Support
To whom it may concern, I was genuinely excited about Battlefield 6. The trailers, the gameplay previews—all of it looked amazing. But that excitement was instantly deflated when I realized there’s no support for Linux at all! I’m running Ubuntu LTS and have absolutely no interest in switching back to Windows just to play EA games. It’s frustrating, to say the least, that in 2025 we’re still dealing with such narrow platform support. Linux users are no longer a fringe group—we’re passionate, loyal, and growing. Ignoring us feels like a slap in the face. I won’t be buying Battlefield 6 unless Linux support is taken seriously. Simple as that. Please rethink this decision—not just for me, but for the entire Linux community. Hi DICE / EA team, I’ve been a Battlefield player since Bad Company 2 and I deeply value the tactical, immersive experience the franchise has always offered. Hardcore mode—with reduced HUD, one-shot kills, friendly fire, no minimap—was an iconic part of Battlefield’s identity. It’s disappointing that in Battlefield 6 Hardcore is only available through Portal, requiring custom servers and manual setup. Many long-time fans (including myself) just want to queue into a standard Hardcore playlist via matchmaking, like in BF3 and BF4. A simple option at the start of matchmaking—"Standard" vs "Hardcore"—would let new players join the normal mode, while veterans could select what they know and love. This choice doesn’t harm anyone and addresses both audiences fairly. Portal cannot replace matchmaking: lack XP progression, and aren’t easily discoverable. Access to Hardcore via matchmaking would revitalize competitive play and honor Battlefield’s legacy. Please consider adding an official Hardcore playlist to standard matchmaking. Many fans have voiced similar concerns and would greatly appreciate such a feature. Thank you for listening.spectro9753 months agoSeasoned Rookie4.3KViews130likes66CommentsEA/Dice, please don’t CoD this game - Listed Fixes/Nerfs/imps. is must!

Nerf — The Jump slide, the slide is too far. Nerf — The overall of the slide needs a very tiny touch, but not like Battlefield v. Nerf — The drop shot, make the prone more animated and not fast like cod. Nerf — The accuracy of the gun when sliding>ads so it won't be accurate just like in CoD. Nerf — The accuracy of the gun when jumping>ads so it won't be accurate just like in CoD. Nerf — The overall of the movment speed with the smg's/pistols when ads is a little bit fast. Nerf — The Auto spoting detect enemies from far away, and it need to set to close/medium range like in bf4. Nerf — Remove The glint of the sniper scope is too strong, or turn it down a lot and to show the glint only for 1 second when someone pointing the scope on you. **Fix — Remove the emoji wheel from spotting enemies and keybind it to something different, the emoji wheel showing all the time, and brought up too fast. **Fix — Remove the ping sign marks when trying to spotting enemies the ping sign marks cover and hide the enemies, instead of spoting clearly enemies. **Fix — The position of the smg's when running is not centered on screen. **Fix — The game needs to be optimized cause the Gameplay performance is very bad the game is on very low and its stutering and thers very low fps even on rtx4070ti. (high spec pc etc..) **Fix — Time to die is too fast, It feels like if you don’t have 1 millisecond response time or if anyone sees you first you’re dead. No chance of killing the person already shooting at you. **Fix — The bunny hoppin in this game specialy after slide momentum, seriously what the hell is going on it meant to be battlefield not CoD. **Fix — The wrong hand placment on some foregrips. (added pictures down below to shown) **Fix — Mini map is too tiny even on 100% size. **Fix — Remove the 100-point attachment limit for weapons. Instead, allow players to equip as many attachments as they want, but make each one come with stronger pros and cons. This way, customization can be more creative without breaking balance Now here is why so many call it CoD and not battlefield.👇🏻 https://youtube.com/shorts/HnMw0emtrsk?si=VsV27pRXS21MKfeQl_D3ABLO_l3 months agoRising Adventurer12KViews45likes65CommentsBattlefield 6 Aim Assist
It feels like Battlefield has become primarily a Console game first, and a PC game second. Frankly, the amount of assist players get is insulting to PC players. I was going to try to start this discussion from a more neutral stand point, but let's be honest, it ALWAYS devolves very quickly, "Mouse users can use their entire arm to aim!". I kept trying to re-write this in a careful manner, but there's no middle ground on this issue. I've literally never heard a controller player admit anything is over-tuned. With that said... The real solution is that Crossplay should NOT be enabled by default. Why? Console and PC versions of the game could then be tuned independently of each other. I often look at Steam charts looking for new games, and there's quite a few FPS games towards the top, with Counter-Strike always being in the #1 spot by a wide margin. Why isn't Battlefield up there in the top 10 at least? The formula for what makes Battlefield work has already been figured out ages ago, that's the hardest part. What I'm saying is that Dice needs to focus more on PC, what made BF great in the past, and there definitely is a market for it. If Crossplay is enabled by default, then the assist needs to be readjusted for both platforms for this next installment of Battlefield, especially if movement is going to be slowed down a bit. Right now Controller players get: 25% recoil reduction Snap to Target (2042 implementation is x4 times the distance of the previous title) Rotational assist Slow Down over Target Two things that need to be re-tuned are 25% reduction in recoil and Snap to Target. These both shouldn't exist to begin with, but if I'm being generous, then Snap to Target should be reverted back to what it was in previous titles, and the Recoil Reduction should be completely removed. Slight Tangent/Critique of Dice There's so many things I want to critique about 2042, but honestly, I'm getting to the point I have ZERO confidence in Dice these days. Even with the simple task of getting community feedback with Labs, what a joke. Only certain small groups of people have been invited, and with NDA's. How is that an open discussion? How is Labs anything different than what you did before besides giving Alpha testing a different name? Battlefield should be locked into one of the top 10 spots on Steam Charts at all times, doing less than that is failing at a time tested formula. I don't know, maybe the Console sector is just that lucrative, and it's worth it to cater to them. However, as a PC player, I'm tired of being insulted by every game having this LAZY attempt at balancing inputs by giving just ONE of them assist. I will not be buying the next Battlefield if this is the case.RaginSam5 months agoSeasoned Ace4.9KViews23likes57CommentsBF6 Needs A Server Browser
I often see requests for a server browser on social media. I agree that a server browser is necessary, but when hosting a community event, all you need to do is search in the server browser, making it easy to jump to the same server. With the current system, you can't jump to the same server unless you jump from your friends list. Hello EA / DICE Team, First of all, thank you for the amazing work you are doing with Battlefield 6. The game already delivers an incredible large-scale combat experience, but I believe there is a great opportunity to make it even more realistic, strategic, and immersive: by adding modern artillery vehicles such as the M142 HIMARS and MLRS. Why this matters: Realism & Modern Warfare Representation – Battlefield has always been known for reflecting the dynamics of real warfare. In modern conflicts, precision artillery systems like HIMARS play a decisive role. Their inclusion would make the battlefield feel more authentic and relevant to today’s military technology. Strategic Depth – Adding mobile artillery would introduce a new tactical layer. Teams could coordinate long-range strikes, forcing enemies to adapt, reposition, and use countermeasures. This would reward teamwork and planning, not just raw firepower. Balanced Gameplay – Artillery vehicles could be balanced with limited ammunition, long reload times, and the need for spotters/drones for targeting. This ensures they wouldn’t dominate unfairly, but rather encourage cooperative play between infantry, armor, and air units. Unique Player Roles – Players who enjoy support roles would gain a new way to contribute to victory. Artillery crews could shape the battlefield indirectly, supporting frontlines without being constantly in direct combat. Immersion & Variety – Introducing artillery vehicles would diversify vehicle gameplay, making each match feel different and more unpredictable, while giving players fresh challenges. Suggested Features: M142 HIMARS and MLRS as deployable vehicles on large maps. GPS/laser-guided targeting system (requiring coordination with squadmates). Limited ammo that requires resupply (preventing spam). Counter-systems such as air strikes, drones, or fast vehicles to hunt them down. Thanks in advance! I'm sure that these artillery vechiles will be in the full version of the game on October 10th. I hope that you will announce this as a surprise on October 10th.TheRock1999924 days agoSeasoned Hotshot170Views9likes51CommentsTTK&TTD| It’s hard to kill a soidler
Hello @EA @DICE. I am writing about this for the second time. Not only am I writing about this, but many players are — mostly veteran players have focused on this issue. Killing a person is very difficult. The system for killing a person is very similar to Call of Duty’s kill system. It takes a lot of bullets to kill a person — that’s exactly how it is in Call of Duty. @EA @DICE I understand you want to attract COD players, but I don’t think deviating from Battlefield’s traditions for that reason is necessary. The game is clearly becoming similar to Call of Duty. The biggest problem is the difficulty of killing a soldier. I am a veteran player and I feel that when I shoot a soldier, something is not right. When I shoot a soldier, I feel like I’m shooting an armored tank. It takes far too many bullets to kill a soldier. Most of the time I have to empty a whole magazine to kill one soldier. Please bring back a realistic kill system to the game. A single headshot should naturally be enough to kill, which already exists, but a body hit should kill a soldier with at least 2–4 bullets. New players or COD players do not notice this problem. We, Battlefield veterans, feel and notice this problem — we “veterans” have a lot of experience and we know what we are saying: killing a person is unrealistically difficult. I think the official TTK & TTD of the game should be fast. When you shoot a soldier he should drop/ die as he would die in a real war. Please consider this. If you do not do this, then at least create an official Hardcore Mode and put it in the main menu. This Hardcore Mode should be identical to Conquest except for one change — killing a person should be easy/realistic. Thank you in advance.TheRock199998 days agoSeasoned Hotshot276Views6likes41CommentsWhich mechanics do you want and which not?

As veteran Battlefield players, we strongly request that Hardcore mode be included directly in Battlefield 6’s main menu. Hardcore has always been a core part of the Battlefield experience, offering true realism, intense combat, and a challenge that many of us grew up enjoying. Fast and easy access is essential. Hiding Hardcore behind extra menus or settings diminishes its importance and makes it harder for players who want the authentic Battlefield experience. We ask the developers to listen to the community: please make Hardcore mode visible and directly selectable from the main menu. This is not just a preference it is a key part of what makes Battlefield special to longtime players. Premise: To resolve the Open/Closed weapon debate in a way that does not split the player base into two separate playlists, I am proposing a hybrid solution be adopted that incorporates both the open and closed weapons playstyles together into a single rebalancing of the class system. The main idea is to make the open weapons playstyle part of the Assault Class's toolkit. This strengthens EA's new intended identity for the class as a an objective-oriented, jack-of-all-trades class that can equip itself with any tool that is required to help them capture flags. The other 4 core classes (Medic, Support, Engineer, and Recon) are each given a choice between three weapon types, one being the Signature weapon of that class and the secondary options being shared between all classes. The signature weapon type each of the core classes has access to is designed to best complement the team-oriented role that class is intended to play. Locking the weapon types of the other 4 core classes but providing an open weapons outlet in the objective-oriented Assault Class strengthens the identity of each class while at the same time avoiding some of the problems the open weapons system creates in certain weapon/class combinations. Additionally, it funnels the players that would rather play to a specific weapon type vs class into an objective-oriented role, if they were really intent on breaking the class/weapon status quo. At the same time, however, there are very few situations in which playing the Assault Class with a signature weapon from one of the other classes would be more desirable than just playing the class of which that weapon is signature to. The obvious exception being if the player wants to play with a carbine on an infantry-only map, where the Engineer's kit is mostly unnecessary. This dynamic helps to push players toward one of the more team-oriented classes, rather than playing the Assault Class equipped with one of the other class's signature weapons. The proposed class/weapon rebalancing is as follows: Assault Class Primary weapon choices: Assault Rifle (Signature and Exclusive) SMG LMG Carbine Shotgun DMR ***Notably absent are Sniper Rifles Weapon sling choices: Shotgun DMR Notes: This class remains as the true "open weapons" pick. Giving the Assault Class access to most weapon types fits its identity of an objective-oriented front-liner that is able to utilize any tool that is required to help them drive the team forward. Exclusive to this class is the Assault Rifle, but it also has access to each of the signature weapons of the other classes. Notably absent from this list is the Sniper Rifle, which has been made unavailable to encourage objective-oriented use of the Deploy Beacon. If utilizing the weapon sling, this class can also equip one of the shared primary weapons (Shotgun or DMR) as a second primary. Medic Class (New Class) Primary weapon choices: SMG (Signature) Shotgun DMR Notes: This class is being added as a 5th class and is separate from the Support Class. Separating Medic from Support allows each class to dive deeper into its niche. Healing gadgets, combat stims, and the defib are moved to this class's toolkit. The signature weapon of this class is the SMG, which positions them in a place where they can better support the frontline with healing and revives. It is given access to DMRs as a secondary choice to provide a longer ranged option for larger maps, and shotguns for an alternative close quarters option. This balance is dependent on the health regeneration of the game being slowed down, because with how fast the health regeneration is in BF6 currently the healing gadgets aren't really needed. Support Class Primary weapon choices: LMG (Signature) Shotgun DMR Notes: With healing responsibilities being taken away from the Support Class, it is now able to better focus on supporting the team through other means. Support retains its ability to resupply teammates with ammo and its access to supportive gadgets like trophy systems and mortars. The signature weapon of this class is the LMG to emphasize its role of providing covering fire to teammates and suppressing enemies. It is given access to Shotguns as a secondary choice to support a more mobile playstyle, and DMRs for longer ranged suppression. This balance is dependent on the suppression system being reworked, because as of now the suppression mechanic is largely useless. Engineer Class Primary weapon choices: Carbine (Signature) Shotgun DMR Notes: This class is given Carbines as its signature weapon type to provide it with versatility that is not quite as long ranged as the Assault Class's assault rifle. This weapon choice gives Engineers the required versatility to ensure that anti-vehicle ordinance will always be present on a team. For those seeking to use a Carbine on infantry-only maps, the Assault Class can be selected in its place. Engineers are given Shotguns as a secondary weapon choice to offer a more close quarters playstyle, and DMRs for a longer ranged option. Recon Class Primary weapon choices: Sniper Rifle (Signature and Exclusive) Shotgun DMR Notes: Snipers being made exclusive to the Recon Class emphasize its role of providing reconnaissance to the team instead of front-lining. DMRs are also made available to this class as a secondary weapon choice for a more versatile option, and shotguns to support a close quarters style of play. This balance is dependent on the Recon Class being made the ONLY class that can spot enemies with a red dot over their head, while spotting on other classes will be reduced to only reveal enemy locations to the team via the minimap. With the Deploy Beacon being moved to the Assault Class, Recon needs its identity strengthened in this way. Closing Thoughts: Dividing the weapon types amongst the classes in this way reinforces each class's identity, while at the same time providing each class with enough versatility to fulfill all of its intended roles. Additionally, there would be very few, niche situations where running one of the other class's signature weapons on the Assault Class would be the better choice, but this is still an option that is available to players. Under this structure, the Assault Class becomes the most user-friendly class to those who are not yet familiar with Battlefield, but the other 4 core classes still hold distinct advantages over it and play more team-oriented roles, which helps to deter players from playing the Assault Class equipped with one of the other class's signature weapons.twing1ea25 days agoSeasoned Vanguard228Views4likes32CommentsIts unfair that console players can disable crossplay and PC cant
