Battlefield 6 Aim Assist
It feels like Battlefield has become primarily a Console game first, and a PC game second. Frankly, the amount of assist players get is insulting to PC players. I was going to try to start this discussion from a more neutral stand point, but let's be honest, it ALWAYS devolves very quickly, "Mouse users can use their entire arm to aim!". I kept trying to re-write this in a careful manner, but there's no middle ground on this issue. I've literally never heard a controller player admit anything is over-tuned. With that said... The real solution is that Crossplay should NOT be enabled by default. Why? Console and PC versions of the game could then be tuned independently of each other. I often look at Steam charts looking for new games, and there's quite a few FPS games towards the top, with Counter-Strike always being in the #1 spot by a wide margin. Why isn't Battlefield up there in the top 10 at least? The formula for what makes Battlefield work has already been figured out ages ago, that's the hardest part. What I'm saying is that Dice needs to focus more on PC, what made BF great in the past, and there definitely is a market for it. If Crossplay is enabled by default, then the assist needs to be readjusted for both platforms for this next installment of Battlefield, especially if movement is going to be slowed down a bit. Right now Controller players get: 25% recoil reduction Snap to Target (2042 implementation is x4 times the distance of the previous title) Rotational assist Slow Down over Target Two things that need to be re-tuned are 25% reduction in recoil and Snap to Target. These both shouldn't exist to begin with, but if I'm being generous, then Snap to Target should be reverted back to what it was in previous titles, and the Recoil Reduction should be completely removed. Slight Tangent/Critique of Dice There's so many things I want to critique about 2042, but honestly, I'm getting to the point I have ZERO confidence in Dice these days. Even with the simple task of getting community feedback with Labs, what a joke. Only certain small groups of people have been invited, and with NDA's. How is that an open discussion? How is Labs anything different than what you did before besides giving Alpha testing a different name? Battlefield should be locked into one of the top 10 spots on Steam Charts at all times, doing less than that is failing at a time tested formula. I don't know, maybe the Console sector is just that lucrative, and it's worth it to cater to them. However, as a PC player, I'm tired of being insulted by every game having this LAZY attempt at balancing inputs by giving just ONE of them assist. I will not be buying the next Battlefield if this is the case.RaginSam3 months agoSeasoned Ace1.3KViews6likes19CommentsBattlefield 6 AI Soldiers
One of the few things I actually did like about Battlefield 2042 was that there were finally AI Soldiers for us to play with and against. Although personally I think they need upgrades for the new game to make them feel a lot better to play with. Yes I understand others don't want them in the public servers. But my question is will they still be available in Private Servers and Solo/COOP matches like they are in Battlefield 2042?Jesse16510 days agoSeasoned Ace901Views10likes17CommentsSecure Boot
I really hope EA/Dice will revise their requirement for Secure boot on BF6. I am a Battlefield franchise fan, BF3 brought me into PC gaming , i own BF3 BF4 BF1 & BF2042 and played it all for hours and hours. I stopped playing BF2042 because suddenly after years you introduce Anti-cheat & Secure boot. Let me get this clear i am not against installing anti-cheat, but i can/will not enable secure boot on my PC. As a matter a fact i already feel robbed by EA/dice by requiring secure boot on bf2042 i already own. I really want to play BF6 because it looks freaking awesome, but i will not enable secure boot so i won't buy it! You do not need Secure boot enabled for an anticheat. Take an example from Faceit they removed the requirement for Secureboot because of community feedback. So we're closing in on the multiplayer reveal. Let's start the discussion on what mechanics from previous titles you would like to see return in Battlefield 6 and which absolutely not? Here's my list. Interested to see what others think. YES Server Browser with persistent servers Rental servers Scoreboard (shouldn´t have to list this but BF2042 taught us otherwise) Limited ammo on vehicles, combined with re-supply stations Jets and helicopters should spawn at base, not mid-air Soldier leaning Squad revive Hardcore mode Basic militaristic cosmetics Class locked weapons 64 players max Modes: Conquest, Breakthrough, Rush, TDM, Frontlines, Operations Maps: good variety between AOW and Close Quarters, Naval maps, Night maps 1st person takedown animation Destruction Dynamic weather Realistic movement DLC with 4 new maps, new modes and vehicles every quarter Premium pass NO Specialists Goofy cosmetics Cringe voicelines Excessive spotting In-game wallhack abilities/gadgets Crossplay on by default XL chaos modes 3rd person animations, it should be a proper FPS No excessive sliding, bunny hopping, dolphin diving or sprinting with a heavy LMG That's it for now, but I might add to this list by means of editing the OP.444Views19likes30CommentsMinimum system requirements

Hello everyone, with the release of the reveal trailer for Battlefield 6 and now that we’ve all had some time to settle in to the EA Forums I thought now would be a good time to set up a thread where you can meet the EA Forums Community team and hear a little bit about our own Battlefield experience! I’m Rtas, or EA_Rtas to be more precise, if you’ve been around since the old Battlefield forums you might recognize me as one of the old EA moderators during the Battlefield V era. I know I recognize some usernames when I read through the forums and it’s always good to see the old guard still around. I first got into Battlefield with Battlefield 1943 back on the Xbox 360 and was immediately hooked. Took me some time to get good and learn to PTFO but I really came into my own with Battlefield 3 as a medic. Long hours of Operation Metro (If you were ever on the receiving end of my constant revives while under enemy fire then you have my sincere apologies) and Damavand Peak were absolutely formative for me throughout my time with Battlefield 3 and cemented it as probably my favourite in the series. Though I think that was also influenced by a certain show on Youtube I think we're all familiar with here, Battlefield Friends which I would watch every time a new video would release. What is my role here? You’ll see me around the forums not only here in the Battlefield section but also on the Star Wars boards. I read as much of your feedback as I am able and pass it on to the right people as well as helping out wherever and whenever I can with troubleshooting and while I can't be everywhere all the time, that is where my excellent teammates come in. Ideally we try to make sure this is a friendly place for everyone to talk about Battlefield. What makes a great community is everyone working together as a team, you'll see that from the other community managers that will also post in this thread. We work together to make sure that nothing is missed on these forums, even if you don't get an immediate response we read everything. But thats enough from me, for now I’ll pass it on to the rest of the folks on our team so you can get to know the folks helping you here on the EA Forums. See you on the Battlefield ~RtasEA_Rtas2 months agoCommunity Manager346Views27likes11CommentsPlease change this.
Please for the love of god change how the soldier holding the rifle with the forgrip this is not how spec ops holding a rifle please change it, its wrong from experience as an ex soldier in the army I'm telling you this is not how you should hold a gun with foregrip, you don't just hold only the foregrip, you combind the grip with the foregrip and the rails. This brings truly immersive soldier tactics to life — it will make people dramatically more hyped for the Tactical Stand’s realism! As shown on the Green sircle picture down below.l_D3ABLO_l7 days agoRising Novice315Views2likes1CommentM4A1 Carbine, M16, M416 (HK416) where are these Guns ?
Hello DICE and EA team. I have been following the Battlefield 6 Gameplay test and noticed that the Classic Rifles like: M4, M16, M416 (HK416) are missing from the current weapon list. Are there any plans to bring these Rifles Back ?TheRock199997 days agoSeasoned Novice285Views11likes34CommentsWelcome back, Soldier!, what's your class?
We are almost there! Next Thursday is the multiplayer reveal, which class will be your main? I'm going for anti-vehicle, always fun to bring the smack to the tanks while rolling with the squad to repair, while SMGs and carbines will be my first pick for it. So, what's yours?278Views10likes25CommentsBattlefield lost its unique DNA and became a mixed product(COD influence)
I’m a Battlefield veteran and have played BF2, BF3, and BF4 for thousands of hours. After watching the BF6 playtest video, what I found is that the game lost its unique DNA. #Sound: BF6 sound design is nowhere near BF4. It has more of a cheap, crispy, syringey sound. In BF4, the weapon sound design are more unique and well-pronounced (both in lows and highs), weapons also have strong and noticeable sound difference depending on where the player is firing (good sound engine). For example: On maps like metro or operation locker in BF4 the weapon sound effect have very noticiable difference between a tight hallway or a bigger hall or open wide outdoor.(weapon sound echoing effects are more noticiable for high calibar weapons) Also, in BF3 and BF4, when you hit or killed a target, no feedback sound (hit marker sound or cheap looking hit marker design) is played — which adds to the immersion.(another COD influnce) #Gun Recoils: From the BF6 gameplay, all guns seem to have very similar recoil patterns (less recoil and very easy to hit targets, hip firing have no significant kick or jump). But in BF3 and BF4, guns are harder to control and have more realistic recoil. BF6 leans more toward arcade shooters and has lost some of the realism. #Weapon and Overall Gameplay Movements/Feels: In BF4, when you throw a grenade, your character uses two hands (like in real life) instead of one hand. The body movements feels more lifelike and natural in BF4 (because how human body works) when you jump or fall the camera got that bouncing effect, but in BF6, it feels very rigid and snappy — like a robot with camera stabilizer on. Weapons in BF4 moves more naturally and feeld more relaxed when looking around, which feels more realistic and was unique to the BF series. In BF6, the weapon and overall movements feels more stream lined and clean but very unnatural. #UI: The UI is just copying from COD, like intro from the the beginning of the match(even the intro itself!) and loadout & customization and also the victory or defeat in the end of the match(very cheap looking funky designs), but in bf4 its got that ending intro and the epic music nothing is from the COD, more minimalistic and without messy UI design and icons.(another COD influnce) Why BF4 loadout and customization is the GOAT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQGGRM5Z8fo (No COD influnce pure bf stuff) #Camera: Jet camera view switching in BF4 is instant — fast with less motion sickness. In BF6, the camera moves around when switching views, which can be disorienting. #Overall: The new Battlefield has lost many of its original realistic traits. It’s less minimalistic and leans more toward fast-paced shooters like COD. It's more like a product that is trying to lure and please COD players but don't want to upset the battlefield players too(no original big open sandbox maps are shown, the game is more liner and have less freedom on physics all very streamlined), but its not excelling at becoming any game mentioned before because its not overly unique but more of a mixed game, Why CS-GO still is a very good and popular game because they don't change the games original formula when developing the next game, so the die hard players won't be split and upset over changes.272Views1like11CommentsFlight Stick Support
I have noticed that since after BF4, there was no support for flight sticks. They have kept the controller or keyboard for flying only. Since the talks of BF going back to their roots of the older games, I would like to see support of Flight sticks brought back as well. Is there a possibility to bring that back as well?? Nothing like getting into a heated air combat and being able to pull some amazing maneuvers...SFC_Malign7 days agoSeasoned Newcomer248Views6likes9CommentsHardcore mode for veterans and those who prefer simulation
Hi DICE / EA team, I’ve been a Battlefield player since Bad Company 2 and I deeply value the tactical, immersive experience the franchise has always offered. Hardcore mode—with reduced HUD, one-shot kills, friendly fire, no minimap—was an iconic part of Battlefield’s identity. It’s disappointing that in Battlefield 6 Hardcore is only available through Portal, requiring custom servers and manual setup. Many long-time fans (including myself) just want to queue into a standard Hardcore playlist via matchmaking, like in BF3 and BF4. A simple option at the start of matchmaking—"Standard" vs "Hardcore"—would let new players join the normal mode, while veterans could select what they know and love. This choice doesn’t harm anyone and addresses both audiences fairly. Portal cannot replace matchmaking: lack XP progression, and aren’t easily discoverable. Access to Hardcore via matchmaking would revitalize competitive play and honor Battlefield’s legacy. Please consider adding an official Hardcore playlist to standard matchmaking. Many fans have voiced similar concerns and would greatly appreciate such a feature. Thank you for listening.spectro9752 days agoSeasoned Newcomer247Views6likes4CommentsRequest: Full Gyroscope Aiming Support and Auto-Calibration Toggle
Dear Dev team, I’m a PlayStation player and a big fan of first-person shooters. I truly appreciate developers who implement gyroscope aiming — it’s a modern, precise, and comfortable mechanic that significantly enhances controller gameplay, especially for players who are physically disabled. I’d like to share a suggestion regarding future gyroscope support in your game. In Battlefield, for example, gyroscope aiming is technically present in the latest alpha versions (such as BF6), but it’s currently non-functional. I’d love to see a fully developed and customizable implementation of gyroscope aiming — similar to how it works in Fortnite, THE FINALS, or Call of Duty. Most importantly, I’d love to see: An option to disable gyroscope auto-calibration. This system is built into PlayStation controllers and often interferes with small, precise movements — such as when using sniper rifles or trying to control recoil. While it can’t be disabled at the system level, some games successfully disable it within their own engine (e.g., Fortnite). Comprehensive customization options — sensitivity, acceleration, input threshold, inversion, and more — just like in the titles mentioned above. Features like these show care for detail and greatly improve the controller experience for many players. Thank you for your work — I hope this feedback is useful! Sincerely, Artem Rolar Horun P.S. I played the BF alpha and it was awesome.Rolar_Artem4 days agoSeasoned Novice238Views16likes16CommentsTrailer was hype
Definitely interested in a lot of the locations. Looks like we got Brooklyn heavily invested in with what looked like Coney Island as well. Even saw the same locations they feature Division 1 and 2 with which seemed like a fun coincidence or homage. Very VERY interested to see what looked like Yosemite National Park play out, and who can't neglect the whole shot of Hoover Dam. Can't wait to see what comes up next week with MP on the 31st.Chris_Hawkner10 days agoRising Veteran237Views16likes26CommentsAbout the Server Browser...
I often see requests for a server browser on social media. I agree that a server browser is necessary, but when hosting a community event, all you need to do is search in the server browser, making it easy to jump to the same server. With the current system, you can't jump to the same server unless you jump from your friends list.227Views10likes18CommentsMedals, Ribbons and Dogtags...
I hope these return to Battlefield 6 in much the same manner as they were to be found in Battlefield 1. I had a lot of fun working my way through collecting as many as I could. It made me play the game in different ways, on various modes, and with other weapons, etc. This, to me, added depth to the game, increased its longevity, and, above all, a sense of attainment and fun that kept me playing long after I might've otherwise stopped. I hope they nail this perhaps undervalued aspect again.DeepOcean858 days agoRising Traveler205Views11likes14Comments
