Suggestion: Toggle for Inventory Inspect Animation
Wanted to throw out a small quality-of-life suggestion around the inventory inspect animation when viewing weapons, attachments, and cosmetics. The animation looks great and clearly fits the presentation of the game, but after navigating the menus for a while, especially when comparing items or tuning a loadout, it begins to feel like unnecessary friction. What should be a quick interaction ends up taking longer than expected simply because the transition has to play every time. It would be great to see an optional toggle that lets players disable or shorten the animation if they prefer a faster, more responsive menu. Some players enjoy the visual polish, others prioritize speed — giving the choice would support both without changing the default experience. I also think this could help reduce visual fatigue during longer sessions for players who prefer a more immediate, low-motion interface. Not a major issue by any means, just one of those small usability tweaks that can noticeably improve the overall feel of the game. I know the devs are working on solos, but can we also get a mode for trios? Nearly all my quad games with a random player have gone through the following scenario: -> Game Starts -> Fourth player screams "BREAKING OFF SOLO" -> Fourth player dies -> Fourth player leaves immediately -> Team is put in a disadvantageous position for the rest of the game And another issue with playing with a random, is the fact that nearly all of them refuse to communicate. I've literally had 1 squad mate in the hundreds of redsec game that actually responded. This wouldn't be a problem if we had trios.MaximusKim8910 hours agoSeasoned Newcomer5Views0likes0CommentsOffical Portal Modes without Bots should be 8 Players to Start!
If you have a Server with Bots its 8 Players to start and it fills with 12 bots Making it 20. Why can't we have 8 Players start a Match without bots and allow the server to populate naturally with out bots. 20 player start with no bots is impossible to accomplish and its not full XP! It should be 8 to start across the board. 6 year Portal runner and creator here asking and hoping for answers...11Views0likes0CommentsWhy can't you use the LWCMS in home base?
A sniper can sit in their home base and shoot players and can't be killed unless they are shot. You can't flank them, even if you try you are killed due to being out of the battle. A player using the LWCMS has to be on the battlefield zone to use it. I think the snipers shouldn't be able to hide in their home base. If they can then a player using the LWCMS should be able to too. How is that fair play? EA think before you create, not that hard.Chaz6322 hours agoRising Veteran11Views0likes0CommentsDoes REPORT a player Do anything anymore?
I use to get confirmations in mail about peoples being dealt with for their absolute worse behaviors in chat. There's so many toxic kids I report daily constantly spamming chat with "f*cking sniper / camper " , and other profanities , I don't even want to go into details here but we all know toxic behavior. Lately ,for past 3 days, I neither get confirmation nor denial of for my reports . Action has been taken / Action hasn't been taken . What is going on? Is system down, or they just stop sending emails in respond ? Do I have to revert back to taking screenshots and reporting players through Report a player web form because this Report for abusive chat and Report for harassment doesn't seem to work lately !BrutalSBK777723 hours agoRising Adventurer11Views0likes0CommentsThe Commander must be reintroduced
The feature that should distinguish Battlefield from other arcade FPSs is its organizational and strategic component. Currently, Battlefield 6 is a game that doesn't stand out in this regard. Teams are thrown into the fray, lacking organization, cooperation, and a leader to give them objectives to conquer. Teams with four players are too small and isolated from the rest of the faction and don't actively collaborate, but only passively, hoping that there are better-skilled players among their ranks to overwhelm their opponents. What DICE should focus on is improving the management component, reintroducing the role of the commander, as was present in BF2 and BF2142, and increasing cooperation between teams. Increase the number of players per team from four to five or six, and allow players to start matches with more than three friends, even in classic modes. In BF1, many public servers allowed players to play with more than three friends per match. I don't understand why there is this stupid limitation that compromises one of the most appreciated features of this game.14Views0likes0CommentsBattlefield movement is already in the game.
I stepped back into the campaign recently to get the cosmetics, and man was I amazed at how differently the game played. The movement actually felt like a battlefield game, and not a BF skin slapped on top of a CoD game. What really stuck out to me is what I'll call the acceleration of everything. As in, when I started to sprint, it actually took my character a second to get to full speed. When I try to strafe left and right, it actually takes my character time to stop going one direction, and then start going in the other direction. Even sliding didn't feel as CoD-esque. I doubt EA/Dice care, but this should really be the regular movement in multiplayer. You watch a bunch of the BF content creators, and all the old, genuine creators that were making content for BF all the way back in BF3 days, they play BF6 like a real BF game and have legitimate complaints about the direction the game has taken. Then you have the CoD creators who just happen to be playing BF because CoD has turned into such a trash game even they won't touch it. You can ID these players by the fact they are ALWAYS support, only give ammo to themselves running the goliath pack, and never run any of the other support gadgets and rarely ever revive. Whatever these players say the game needs, do the opposite, or BF will die a slow death just like CoD has done. 80% of your revenue stream on PC has left the game. They left because they came in expecting to get Battlefield, and got Call of Battlefield instead. It isn't too late to course correct. There are no real competitors to the battlefield experience. There are one hundred million competitors to the CoD experience. There are that many and more competitors in the battle royal market. Make Battlefield Battlefield again.Painknight1 day agoRising Scout16Views0likes0Comments- ForgottenName252 days agoSeasoned Veteran8Views0likes0Comments
I would like to request adjustments to the M277.
As an example, I want to compare it with the TR-7 and B36, which have similar fire rate and damage drop-off models. Compared to the TR-7, the M277 only has slightly better recoil and accuracy, yet it requires one more bullet to kill within 21 meters. When using semi-auto, both weapons perform about the same. To take advantage of the M277’s small strengths, you would need to land full-auto shots at ranges beyond 21 meters — despite having recoil and accuracy that are almost identical to the TR-7. Compared to the B36, the M277 appears stronger beyond 21 meters because it needs fewer bullets to kill. However, as mentioned, its recoil and accuracy are only on the level of the TR-7. The B36, on the other hand, has extremely stable recoil and accuracy, allowing players to stay on full-auto not only where the M277 struggles, but even at ranges where others would normally switch to semi-auto. These comparisons are with a 30-cost suppressor equipped only on the M277. In other words, even with a heavy 30-point attachment cost penalty, the M277 still performs on par with — or worse than — weapons without that cost. M277 vs TR-7 Up to 21m: TR-7 is superior due to lower bullets to kill Up to 75m: Since recoil and accuracy are very similar, TR-7 remains superior M277 vs B36 Up to 21m: Same bullets to kill, but B36 is better due to recoil and accuracy Up to 75m: B36’s recoil and accuracy are far better, allowing it to land full bursts while the M277 misses shots At minimum, the M277’s recoil and accuracy should be adjusted to sit between the TR-7 and the B36. Additionally, the 30-round magazine costing 40 points is another disadvantage. B36 30-round magazine: 5 cost TR-7 30-round magazine: 40 cost Even though the M277 needs one more bullet than the TR-7 within 21m, and relies more on recoil/accuracy performance beyond that range — where the B36 excels — the M277’s magazine cost is still high. At the very least, the M277 30-round magazine should cost 25 points. That would match the cost of the B36’s 40-round magazine. Based on all of this, the minimum necessary changes are: Adjust recoil and accuracy to be between the TR-7 and B36 (without the default suppressor penalty) Reduce the 30-round magazine cost to 25 Thank you for reading this long post. I really love the Battlefield series and hope the overall balance continues to improve.Silirece2 days agoSeasoned Newcomer14Views0likes0CommentsCasual Breakthrough Bots
I get that the bots have different levels of ability but why does it seem whatever team I am on has the laziest, slowest, stupidest bots in the game. Why do the bots on whatever team I get placed with slowly wander around aimlessly getting shot while the other teams bots are running and jumping and sliding and sniping laser beams from across the map? Why do the bots on whatever team I get placed with never revive me? They either completely ignore the revive request or they slowly walk up to you and stare at you until you die. Balance the bots out already!JodoKast12212 days agoNew Rookie20Views0likes0CommentsMy thoughts on what is wrong with this game and why it has lost players
I've been playing BF since they introduced the demo map for 1942. I loved 1942 and it's expansion maps, including the free community maps, the free addons for more realistic sounds. I loved BF Vietnam and ESPECIALLY Operation Flaming Dart which had it all. And the aircraft were easy to master, and I was very good at them. Then there was BF 2. It was OK but the idiots didn't make it compatible with Windows 7. I bought BF 3 but I didn't play it much. It just didn't appeal to me. I should have given it more of a chance. I skipped BF 4 Bad Company. I came back to BF 1 and loved it. I loved BF 5. I hated the early BF 2042 but stuck with it and complained and lobbied hard for a return to BF roots. And EA eventually listened and made it better. I swore I would never agaain preorder another BF game, but EA made an all to brief beta test of BF 6 for only 2 weekends and I though I liked it so I did the preorder of the delux package. Since then I play way too much. The game is way too fast and you die (at least I do) way too often. The Battle Pass and Challenges system were difficult to understand at first, but I finnally figured it out and completed enough of them to finish all the tiers, and optional tiers and almost finish the Frostbite bonus path. I dislike playing and I am not good at playing anything on Redsec. But even though those matches are optional and force you to play freeloaders who do nothing but play those maps and those objectives, you have to, to complete some Challenges. I know it's kind of wimpy, but I find myself playing Casual Breakthrough most of the time to level up weqpons and complete daily and weekly challeges as much as possible. It may have something to do with I'm 71 years old. But there is just too much coming at you all the time. Always getting shot from the blind side or by a tank that's right there but I didn't see or drove up from out of nowhere. And armoured vehicles are not quiet vehicles, but I don't hear it. And I use a tippity top system that I built myself with an LG Ultragear 42" monitor, great surround speakers or headphones. So I think it's the map design for one thing with all the cover leaving you so much exposed from different angles. There is also very little team play since EA has not had VOIP right since BF 5. They tried to eliminate it completely in 2042 but we lobbied to get it back. But it never was right. And of course they made it almost impossible for clans to play on the public servers and I think that pissed off alot of them. When was the last time you saw AOD as a prefix in a server? They've probably gone to COD. That's it for now. DaveTheBrave_USA23Views0likes0CommentsFaithwalkers HC modes
I decided to jump into a game of the featured custom HC mode made by Faithwalkers. I enjoyed some HC modes in BF4 and wanted to see how this played. The good: To say I was impressed would be an understatement. This was the most fun I’ve had playing BF6 since it was launched. Honestly, this felt like BF4 with better graphics. The mode listed it as 90% movement and 1-2 shot kills with FF off. I am not sure what else was done to make this custom map but everything felt different in a good way. The guns felt and sounded great, Getting killed even felt correct. Overall sound was better and appropriate, not as unnecessarily chaotic. The movement was perfect. And, oddly enough, my fps showed the same as normal modes that I regularly play but the game looked, felt and played buttery smooth. No weird panning issues that looks like frames were dropping. Now some of the bad that can easily be fixed: None of this has to do with Faithwalkers custom maps and everything to do with how EA operates and manages/regulates servers. Faithwalkers has about 8 custom modes he made so I decided to check them out too. I found one that had FF on, which is what I wanted to play, so I searched for it in portal. There were a bunch of them listed but all completely empty. I went back and decided to host one myself hoping that if EA saw a person in there it would help fill it. That didn’t happen. I stayed for about 10 minutes and not one person joined. If EA wants to feature a set of custom maps they should assist in filling them or allow us to play with bots and backfill it after the match starts. Faithwalkers is highlighted in the featured section but only one of his customized rotations gives you the option to "join now" which EA will actively matchmake for. Do I want to play with bots NO. But having to wait for 20 players to join is crazy. With BF 3&4 you could lower that limit down to 4. I think allowing everyone to host a server severely dilutes player bases across those servers. Seeing tons and tons of games listed in portal with all of them empty is bad for the community. EA needs to do a better job with getting players into games. Having 20 or more duplicates with 0 players of the same "experience code" makes no sense. BF6 needs to have a list of dedicate official servers, with a dedicated rotation of maps, that players can join, even if it means having to wait in a queue. If all the servers in an area are full then they can spin up another one and spin them down when no players are left. You cannot create a community when a servers spins up and then down for every new map/game. Seeing the same people in multiple rounds is what will help create a community among players. I know they spoke about platoons coming back and that is really needed to actually build a community again. Portal is a complete disappointment without platoons. I have more thoughts but will stop my rambling for the moment. 😆Whitefish212 days agoSeasoned Hotshot24Views0likes0CommentsSuggestion: Let us use the iron sights on the mounted .50cals
The vehicle-mounted and stationary .50bmg machine guns currently only have fullscreen-zoom when doing ads. Please let us use the iron sights on them when pressing to do ads on them rather than just zooming the screen a bit and altering the crosshairs. Would greatly increase immersion with a relatively minor changeMainfold2 days agoRising Traveler16Views2likes0CommentsMatchmaking needs urgent improvement.
Even back when matchmaking was fully implemented in 2042, I wasn't this dissatisfied with the matchmaking. Now, BF6 has a much higher player count, but most of the matches are bots or 64-player groups, and they can't fill all the seats. I play in Korea and usually play from 11 AM to 3 PM Korean time. Many other Koreans can't play except in the evenings. Recently, even in the evenings, there have been more instances of bot matches or rooms not being filled.SADLY_TOMBOY2 days agoNew Rookie21Views1like0CommentsBad Company TV Show

Firstly if anyone else shares the same thing as I do about this feel free to respond. I’m honestly getting a bit sick of getting the same weekly challenges often. It seems to prioritize dragging you into game modes you don’t want to play or classes or weapon choices you don’t want to play. As for the frostfire event it seems it was just thrown in with no finesse or detail as everything you unlock is just plain and pathetic in my opinion. Going back to the challenges I don’t know about you guys but I mainly play engineer, sometimes support and recon but barely play assault, yet every week I get at least 2 assault challenges. Secondly I’m getting the challenge where I need to get 60 kills with snipers. I come on to play objective and have fun, not sit and rat on operation firestorm. at least half my challenges consist of playing the battle royale. I’m sorry I played it on release and that was it. I don’t like it at all and I don’t intend on playing it. It’s not fun and it’s just Warzone 2.0. Gamemodes: I mainly play conquest, but play breakthrough and rush as well. Yet my game mode challenges always cycle between squad deathmatch, domination or strikepoint. I don’t want to play any of them. Yet I use my re roll on them and it goes to 1 of the 3. I would prefer getting challenges that involve objectives and a change of weapon challenges as it always seems to be just snipers. It just seems to be the same boring challenges every week.11Views0likes0CommentsWhy can't we rename loadouts?
