Why do we have to do 100 things to play BF2042?
Namely EAAnticheat error 0xC0000005 errors constantly with a crashing BF2042 game completely closing. Over the last2 months all I have been doing is trying to play BF2042 and chasing fixes for this problem. Some days are better than others with no changes made. Crash happens in almost every battle. Drivers (GPU/Adrenalin and chipset) were installed cleanly, with previous removal of old ones (both in the usual way and with AMD Cleanup Utility) and clean installation of new ones. Any graphics settings in the game were tested, no difference in crashes was noticed. The system is fine, all its files and game files are checked, and it is also completely stable in many other projects, including uses DX12 (even Battlefield 5). No additional settings were made to the game through Adrenaline (except for the "frame rate target control" frame limiter). The crash manifests itself in the same way both with GPU undervolting and with stock values. I noticed that the crash occurs most often and quickly on the new "Iwo Jima" map. I'm attaching Reddit threads describing similar problems. Judging by them, the problem is present on any AMD/Nvidia video card model, and each one solves it in a completely different way - be it specific driver versions (in this case, different versions help in each case), specific Windows settings, overlays, overclocking, and even BIOS. Oh yeah, I didn't mention that often the problem is not solved at all. Affects both 2042 and BF6. Fix the game/engine! Good Morning, In Hazard Zone Map Discarded it brings all members of the party to a loading screen for the map and then sits on the loading screen until you do a CTL+Alt+Del on PC or kill the game on console. It is not entirely unresponsive as you can still swap between war intel and Tips along with get the next tip. The server seems to be hanging as it affects all that are trying to connect to the sever. All other maps seem to work fine. Some maps are not available in portal - conquest custom. Can you please make it so that we can make our custom conquest with all maps and all sizes of those maps. Now we can only make custom conquests with some maps and only small and medium size. Also the BMP-2 and M3A3 Bradley are not available in portal conquest custom. Two things I've had issues with since the latest patch. One - massive lag spikes. 1,200ms pings sustained for several seconds. It doesn't disconnect me, but can't move without rubberbanding all over the place. Two - Long loading times for textures in the map. 10-20 seconds of gameplay before the LOD increases. Had BF2042 crash on me for the first time in years today. Froze up solid needing an Alt-F4 to quit. Lots of issues over the last 3 patches, first was massive FPS drop (dropped to 15-25 fps from 150) with 9.1.0,nothing I could do would fix it, the only thing that worked was to reinstall the Nvidia drivers every time I played. 9.2.0 magically fixed the graphical issues, and now this. With BF6 coming out the QC for 2042 has really dropped.The biggest bug of the game still not fixed
I asked you months ago to fix it but you did not. The game has no action button priority at all. How am I supposed to reload with a controller in this situation? I cant. Probably the biggest bug/design flow of the game. Hello EA team and community, Platform: PC Ban Date: August 25, 2025 EA Member Since: 2013 🛑 What Happened On August 25, 2025, I attempted to play Battlefield 2042 after a brief break from the game. Upon logging in, I was immediately met with a permanent ban, with no prior warning, notification, or explanation. The only justification provided in my initial appeal response was a general “rule violation” which was later clarified as malicious cheats/hacks under Section 6 of EA’s TOS. This was shocking and confusing. I have never used any form of cheat, exploit, or third-party software that violates EA’s rules. My record across Battlefield titles and other EA games has been spotless for over a decade. 🧾 My Appeals & EA’s Responses I’ve now submitted multiple appeals, and each time, I’ve received the same template response, stating that the “action was correct” and that “no further details can be provided.” The latest response included this exact wording: “After thoroughly investigating your account and concern, we again found that we actioned your account correctly after it was found to have violated our User Agreement. We will also be unable to provide any details regarding our internal procedures. After completing two full investigations into your complaint, we consider this matter closed.” This implies the appeal process is exhausted — but I have received no transparency, no logs, no evidence, and no human explanation. I understand anti-cheat systems cannot disclose everything, but I also believe players deserve a genuine, manual review when bans are applied without cause. 🧠 False Positive Suspected – Possible Cause After researching EA Forums and Reddit, I’ve found dozens of similar reports where users were banned due to false positives triggered by commonly used software, such as: GeForce Experience Logitech G Hub / iCUE / RGBFusion 2.0 Overlays from Discord, Steam, Overwolf MSI Afterburner or motherboard RGB/OC utilities I use some of the above, which are widely known to interfere with Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) under certain circumstances, even though they’re completely legitimate. 🧍My Account & Conduct EA account active since 2013 Never had any prior bans, warnings, or disciplinary actions Linked to a decade-old Steam account with a 100% clean history Participated in the BF6 beta and passed all security checks, including Secure Boot No cheats, macros, trainers, or network manipulation software ever installed 📢 Final Appeal Submitted (Sept 2025) I’ve submitted one final appeal with the following wording: “I’m appealing a permanent ban from Battlefield 2042 issued without notice on Aug 25, 2025. I’ve never used cheats, hacks, or software violating EA’s TOS. This is likely a false positive, possibly triggered by common apps (GeForce Experience, iCUE, Logitech G Hub, Discord Overlay, etc.) often flagged by Easy Anti-Cheat. I request a manual review by a human representative. My EA account (est. 2013) and linked Steam account both have clean histories across hundreds of hours. If I receive no further explanation or contact from a human rep, I will pursue escalation through Easy Anti-Cheat, consumer protection channels, and public forums. I respectfully request proper investigation. — BowWasTaken” 💸 Consumer Concern – No Notice, No Recourse As a paying customer, I’m also deeply concerned that EA can issue a permanent ban without prior notice or explanation, effectively locking players out of a full-priced game (Battlefield 2042) — especially one that retailed at a premium price point (~$90 AUD or more at launch) and included paid seasonal content like Battle Passes. This raises serious concerns not just for me, but for the broader player base ahead of Battlefield 6’s release. If users can lose access to purchased content without any detailed justification, evidence, or warning, how can players trust the system to treat them fairly in future titles? Digital bans may be necessary in cases of real cheating, but they must be transparent and accountable — especially when tied to paid content. ⚖️ What I’m Asking Please escalate this case to an actual EA representative or community manager for manual review. If this was a false EAC flag, I would appreciate guidance on what triggered it so I can avoid it in the future. I am not asking for special treatment — only for transparency, fairness, and human oversight. 🛠️ Next Steps (If No Resolution) If no contact is made or corrective action taken, I will be pursuing further escalation through: Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) Support – to determine if the ban was triggered on their end and whether it was in error. Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) – as I am an Australian consumer who has paid for digital goods now rendered inaccessible due to an unsupported and opaque ban. Social and public channels (Reddit, Twitter/X, etc.) – in hopes of connecting with EA community staff who can actually address this issue. Thank you for your time. Hi, I rebinded the throtle up to [Space] and throtle down to [Ctr] and the Pitch Up/Down to [S] and [W] and inverted it, so [S] turns the nose up, like I am used to fly jets. I figured out that i was turning a lot sloer than in some videos an found that somehow when I turn up un the jets it also turns on the wind brakes automatically and this funtion can't be disabled or changed. I would like not having to change my keybinds and relearn how to fly all again. It has a simple fix, change the auto wind brakes to the throtle down respected keybind instead of alway the [S]. I am currently hosting my Battlefield 2042 server. When I attempt to shut it down using the “Shut Down” option, I receive an error and the server does not close. I am not trying to close someone else’s server, only my own. This issue is preventing me from managing my server properly and is extremely frustrating. Since the start of FREE PASS with all the BF6 goodies, every server is lagging. All of them spike with SFT into 25 , i have seen servers that even peak 30 SFT. Its now 3 weeks with SFT issues, but there is no message from DICE/EA about the issue or a (hot)fix for it. Didnt ya scale up enough servers , are ya being ddos, any fault rack or cable issues. Really everyone is complaing about the lag , stutter , rubberbanding ect ect ect Ya should shame ya self for those bad and terrible performance for those server issue and no feedback to us , the clients. When its searching for a server it takes 1 minute 30 seconds or even 2 minute vefore it will fill a lobby. Then ya have to wait the time in the lobby before the game round starts. Now it is very rare that a server is being found under the 1 minute of search. Is there any compensation for us , cause this issue is still going in week nr3 ! <> x24 hour !!!!!!! I really hope there will be some explantion to us , the clients what to expect till the time before BF6 is launched/ Cause if this stay till launch of BF6 , then ya got real bad advertisement setup !!! I recently encountered this error when trying to play Battlefield 2042, but it's something that had happened to me before and I couldn't solve it until someone on Facebook gave me a solution, but no matter how much I searched on Google I couldn't find solutions, here I leave it in case someone is going through the same thing. If you are playing from Steam, go to the top left tab where it says ''steam'' then to settings and go to the part that says ''in game'' then in the option that says ''enable steam overlay during game'' and deactivate it, now go to the EA app, in the top right where your name is click on it and then go to settings, several tabs will appear click on the one that says ''application'' go all the way down and there will be an option that says ''in-game overlay'' deactivate it and that's it, with that it is solved If you are playing from the EA app it is the same solution but only in the EA app, in the upper right corner where your name is, click on it and then go to settings, several tabs will appear, click on the one that says ''application'' go all the way down and there will be an option that says ''in-game overlay'' deactivate it and that's it, with that it is solved I hope it has been useful, I leave you screenshots below of the problem and where to go to solve it, greetings (CM: Moved from ES Battlefield 2042 to En Battlefield. Question Hello, sometimes my gpu usage drops to around 50-60 fps and I experience a serious fps loss. It drops to 60 fps. My graphics card is currently undervolted, but it does the same thing when it's normal. CPU usage is between 70-90 How can i fix? Gigabyte B550m Ds3h MSI RTX 3080 Gaming Z Trio 10G Amd Ryzen 5600(PBO+Curve) CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB RT 3600 Mhz Cl16 Resolution 2K.
