Lock-on AA Missiles while parachuting is a Dirty Play and 0% Skil, Ruin the game
"Seriously, using the FXM-33 lock-on while hugging the sky ceiling and then parachuting down to snipe helis is such a cheap move. It’s honestly a dirty play and it’s killing the vibe. In BF6 you can't absolutely no way to use firearms, lock-on missiles, or any gadgets while parachuting. If a Stinger camper is sitting at the top of the map with these abilities, pilots have like a 1% chance of surviving. Dice please fix this by disabling all combat actions during the parachute to keep the game fair and challenging. Stop making it so easy for campers and start rewarding real skill."
Spearhead graphics glitch
For a while now, I've been experiencing a strange graphical glitch only on this map; the rest of the maps work fine. Does anyone have any ideas what's causing it? My graphics card works fine in other games, so I'm ruling that out. Clearing the cache fixes the problem, but only temporarily, and the map looks normal. However, after about a minute, the errors return. Since clearing the cache helps for a while, I suspect it has something to do with it. Does anyone have any ideas?
Wifi Disconnect's on opening
Hello! Me and my dad were just trying to play BF2042 again, and it seems my wifi not only turns off but the wifi adapter seems to disable as well! I uninstalled the Killer Intelegence Hub, I use a Alienware m16 r2. And I heard Killer does this, so I just uninstalled the intellegence hub, do I need to uninstall the drivers too?
Losing Connection to EA servers
I've been having an issue where I get disconnected from matches after playing for 5-10 minutes (usually 8 minutes exactly). I've been having the issue for the past 2 years and it has occurred on every Battlefield game I own on my PC (BF4, BF1, BF5, BF2042, BF6). I've tried every solution I could find and haven't had any luck and I was wondering if anyone else is still having this issue or better yet if anyone has found a fix for it. I've tried everything I could find online or think of on my own, except wiping my PC and restarting with a fresh install of windows (I've seen posts where people have tried that and it still didn't work). I've also had three different ISP's and the issue has occurred with all of them. I'll attempt to provide an exhaustive list of everything I've tried, but if anyone has any recommendations or experience with this issue and wants to comment that'd be great. Things I've tried in no particular order: Reinstall network drivers (ethernet and WIFI) Reinstall Nvidia drivers and all Intel Drivers Port forwarding Clean install of Steam, EA, and game Allowing anti-cheat and game through firewall Disabling firewall and Virus Scanning Manually updating DNS address (DNS Cache is running) Updating adapter settings to not use Dualband Disabling IPv6 Running EA, anti-cheat, steam, and game as Administrator Disabling .NET 3.5 Disabling .NET 4.8 Upgrading to Windows 11 Downloading the game on different hard-drives Ensuring Secure Boot is on and working Clearing EA and Steam cache consistently Repairing Anti-Cheat and EA App with App Recovery Cleaning out old drivers/programs that are unused Tried Ethernet and WIFI with each ISP (tested disabling the driver for the one I wasn't using as well) Disabling Overlays Enabling Overlays Creating fresh EA and Steam accounts That's all I can think of right now but if I try new things or remember other things I've tried previously, I will update the thread.
Guns do zero damage after a while
I play one match without issues, then when I join the second match of the day all my guns stop doing damage. AR's do no damage, sniper rifles do no damage, pistols do no damage. Grenades do no damage either, I could throw one into a middle of five enemies but not one of them takes any damage from it. The recon motion sensor ball doesn't always ping enemies who stand right next to it. It's like I'm in ghost mode except I take damage normally. I don't know about vehicles but it doesn't affect Blasco's stick, Paiks wallhack or Irish turret, those work just fine. This has been happening since the latest big update. Only "fix" I've found is to force-quit the game and relaunch it. I have no latency issues, no lag, ping is low. It doesn't happen when the servers are having trouble, either. It always starts after the game has been running for 20 - 40 minutes. After relaunch it doesn't happen again on that session, no matter if I continued to play for the next two or three hours. I only play "official" modes, never in Portal or against bots so idk does it affect those as well. I've lost count for how many times I've emptied an full AR mag into an enemy's back, only for them to turn around and kill me with two shots. Steam is the platform. I have almost 800 hours in this game and this is the first time I've encountered this bug. I've had ping close to 50 and while it was laggy at times (40 now) I still did damage to players. I post this more as an bug report than asking for help to fix it, because I can't find an "proper" channel for posting bug reports.
The weirdest bug 2042 Please help
as soon as i go into a match the game thinks its in the background as in that another window is covering it so it decided to not render only using 20% gpu however if i put another window over the game it starts to run smoothing at 80-90% gpu Im using 9955hx with rtx 5070ti laptop
Portal or Servers Broken and Chat is Broken, Wi-Fi Driver Issue
I’m experiencing several issues with Battlefield 2042 on Steam that appear to match what other players have previously reported in the EA forums: BF2042 Portal - Totally broken.. no Portal "game session is not available" | EA Forums - 13203199 Connection failed battlefield 6 Error code 0:85008S:468882297O:0Q | EA Forums - 13203169 Game session undavailable 11:3401j:1106i:7748441280:131076q | EA Forums - 6978401 1. Player count not updating on portal The player count appears to be stuck and does not change I first noticed this yesterday and again today; the numbers have remained exactly the same on both days 2. Can't Choose Maps? On the official matchmaking options, there is no way to choose specific maps Please add a map selection option, and provide better visibility of available servers so players can choose where to play, including for Quick Play Additionally, the matchmaking queue often takes a very long time while waiting for a game to start on this only 1 option, so the alternative solution is to look on portal servers 3. In‑game chat not working or broken The in‑game chat is not appearing, I cannot see other players’ messages? I initially thought this was a settings issue on my side, but after checking my settings and testing, the problem persists, last 2025 mid - year -> I have no issues on this, so I was wondering why it is not showing and I thought it was a new feature or something, but it seems to be broken I tested Battlefield 6 on the same system, and chat works there normally. This issue seems specific to Battlefield 2042 on Steam 4.
