CONSOLE PLAYTEST RESOLVED
Hey everyone, if you're wondering where your console code is: They'll be sent out in batches, this will be to avoid the EA email address getting barred from inboxes. They could be having a few technical issues. There could be issues with the PS Store/Xbox Store. Give it time. I've done play tests for many developers and the roll out can take 2-6 hours. There's no point in getting angry, it's not like someone punched your nan ok? Chill bois.
Playtest Details
I’m getting a bit annoyed about people on this forum complaining about not being able to access the playtest. The playtest will be available at 2:00 PST (pacific standard time) The system they have implemented may be bad for tracking local times, which is likely the cause of confusion, but some of the posts here are way too critical on EA, and you guys should be glad you are even allowed to play the game early. Don't flag DS4Windows as cheat software and not support Playstation controllers
Kinda hard to test your game with a controller if half of the controllers don't function without banned 3rd party software. The only way to play most EA games with a playstation controller on PC is using DS4Windows. Either implement native DS4/5 support or remove this software from your anti cheat flags. Fairly frustrating, especially for a controller oriented game.
Skate. Idea: Board wear
Board wear and how it should work in the new game There should be board wear in the new skate game, my reasoning is... why not, it adds more immersion into the game and has also been included in every other skate title. The board wear should be a realistic process, if you do a boardslide it should add wear towards the center of the board. If you do a tailslide it should add wear to the tail, etc etc. If darkslides are included in the final game it should also add wear to the griptape. It'd just add more immersion and in my opinion wore boards look better than clean ones. Make the board wear not to fast and not to slow like I stated, a realistic process. If the player no longer wants the board wear or would like to reset it, simply switch your board, or have a button to reset the wear. For the people of EA or Full Circle studio that actually see this I recommend looking at the game Session for a perfect example on the board wear and how it should work. Also another side thing please don't add boards breaking I feel like it would be cool at first but eventually it'll get tedious and annoying having your board break out of nowhere. Instead you could make a gamemode where you gotta do the best line/gap/drop WITHOUT breaking your board. Just keep board breaking out of free roam. I think these are some good ideas that should be implemented into the game. I've been really into the skate games for a very long time now and I want this game to be the best it can be, possibly better than the other games which I am hoping for.Thank you Skate.
Skate. what can I say 2007 changed mine and my friends lives forever!! When skate dropped, all the way up until a few months ago we didn't think we were ever getting another skate.. we shredded every street you've created from skate to skate 2 and now the ending of skate 3. I've played your games for more than 15 years and had a blast everyday!! The friendships I've made along the way, even the family competitions I've had every year on Thanksgiving and Christmas!! Y'all have made things better not just for me but so many around the world that probably don't even know how to let you guys know and Im sure yall probably don't hear it enough but thank you to all the EA development and Skate. teams and admins on the sites for keeping things the way they should be all these years by making us the best game possible to shred on, and keeping us in the loop! EAs best game hands down, if I get access to 4 it's a wrap EA would have just made my year man can't wait to see what they have in store for us keep it up lady's and gentlemen 🙏 were grateful out here!!!skate. playtest survey broken, marked as done before getting to invite friends
UPDATE HERE Seems that an influx of traffic from the latest batch of skate. invites caused a good chunk of peoples surveys (including mine) to break and mark as completed despite not actually finishing the friend invite section. I don't know what powers monitor this forum but it'd be great if this survey could be reissued (or a new one be created for friend invites) for the people that didn't get to invite anyone. I was so psyched to get an invite after waiting the last few years and I'm super disappointed that I couldn't get any of my friends in.
Playtest schedule removed from account?
Last week I filled out the form for play testing skate starting March 11th. I was approved. I had the skate info under the playtesting schedule up until I just checked. I also have no received the email EA stated I would receive about getting the info on how to download the playtest on PS5. the insider playtesting sign up also popped back up for more when it wasn’t there a few hours ago. Does anyone else no longer have the playtesting schedule for skate on their EA playtest account?
Skate - an update from the team.
Hello! What a crazy week. Firstly, we wanted to thank you all for the incredible reaction to ‘Still Working On It.’ We’d be lying if we said it wasn’t a little nerve wracking sharing the first new skate. gameplay trailer in 12 years but your positivity, comments, shares and overall reactions have been amazing to see. The team continues to pore over all of your feedback and are so energized by your messages. We’ve also been blown away by the amount of you that have signed-up for playtesting and we can’t wait to get you into the game! We’re aware of an earlier version of the game that has been distributed without our authorization. This build is from September 2021 and was never intended for external use. While we understand you’re excited to get into the game, we encourage you to be careful when downloading files from unknown sources (and remind you of the potential consequences of breaking EA’s Terms of Service). The best way to get the chance to play is by signing up for skate. insider playtesting here as we continue to invite more and more players into the game throughout the year. Skate CPT not in EA library
As other threads have said before I have gotten the email from EA saying that I can download and play the playtest from now until the early access release of the game but when I check my library to download it there is no Skate CPT. I've tried logging out and logging back in, deleting EA app and reinstalling it, checking another EA account (even though I am signing into the right account), clearing the cache using the App Recovery and even sending out an email to EA support (still no answer) Seems a lot of people are having this issue but I wanted to open another thread on this issue to see if anyone found an actual fix or at least EA will see the amount of threads regarding this issue and will launch some sort of fix.
We NEED an official statement regarding the lack of download instructions.
Myself, and seemingly all other console players who were approved for today's playtest, have not yet recieved an email detailing how to access the playtest. I registered last week, as soon as I got the email saying I was eligible for todays test. The email said to hang tight for download instructions next week. I've been hanging tight and its 1.5 hours past the playtest start time, and still no email or message from the Skate team. To make matters worse, when I try to go to the playtesting portal, I get redirected to the Battlefield Labs site instead. I understand this is one of, if not the first console playtest for Skate. so it's understandable if everythings not perfect. But surely a member of the team has noticed the influx of posts from frustrated console players unable to play, an official statement should be issued. Anything would be good even if it's just "We are aware of issues affecting console players ability to access the playtest." Hopefully we get the emails soon, or an official statement is issued. It sucks sitting in the dark for this long regarding a game some of us have been waiting to play since we were kids.
Skate 4 New Tricks
What lacked in the past skate games were free styling type skate tricks, I feel like importing different kinds of primo tricks and Casper flips could add a whole new style to skating in game. You could do primo stalls when you go up a bowl, drop in primo. You could do primo slides and grinds, primo flips, Casper stall, Casper flips etc. you could add a lot of variety for more on the spot type tricks. ( people could play a game of skate with their friends online and incorporate this style.) I could see this being done by having to click in the sticks after doing a trick to land primo, or flicking both sticks forward and holding them their to put you into primo for as long as you hold them, then using the other sticks to do a flip out. On top of this I’ve noticed you can’t do this small list of tricks in the past games. -impossible -dolphin flip -hospital flip -dragon flip -double trey flips/360 flips -540 flip -540 shuv I really hope someone at ea notices this and takes this into consideration, as I can see these improving the game and allowing people to bring more of their own style to tricks.

This might be the worst release of anything ever....
So going off feedback I have read first hand: There is ZERO communication from anyone within the Dev team about issues or help in relation to actually accessing the skate CPT if you have received an access/welcome email but have not been given the app. There is no clear line of communication for people to voice their concerns or at least from a community perspective it just looks like an absolute cluster bomb of comments, issues and complaints every few seconds of people who actually don't know how to playtest, follow the feedback protocol etc. People are clearly beginning to get fed-up and direct their frustrations due to lack of communications to the discord which they then reroute you to the forums which, you guessed it....there is no response other than people say "just download it bro". EA/Skate team for the sake of people's sanity can someone please just put everyone's mind at ease and just be open an honest, I do not mind at all if you have majorly F'd up and have accepted too many people or have not got the ability to roll it out to everyone for at least the next week or two and have to do it in batches but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE COMMUNICATE THIS WITH YOUR FAN BASE! There are positives from what I have read as well but the major negatives need to be addressed first and access and comms needs to be fixed before in-game problems are looked at it's a clear streamline way of doing things. Also someone made a really good point about your ticket system the other day, is it Jira? Helix? Zoho? whatever it is there must not be any form of categorisation. Help us help you. I don't mind being told, sorry not happening but tell me that :)
