Bouncy Pies should become unlockable quick drop objects for 7Ply Maple Harvest
I love the giant bouncy pies at the new community park, and I think it would be great to be able to place them ourselves. It could open up a ton of new possibilities for cool tricks and lines. The coffin from the Skate-O-Ween event is a great quick drop object, so I think making the pie one would continue the trend of cool holiday quick drop items. Maybe have it be unlocked in the wooden nickel store, or by completing the 2nd week tasks. I don't want them to dissapear after this event is over they are very fun.3Views0likes0CommentsI'm done with the blatant GREED, goodbye skate.
I've done **bleep** near everything in this game that can possibly be done. I have every achievement, every free cosmetic. There is literally nothing more this game can provide me, its no longer fun, if anything it gets worse with time. Its so obvious that the devs don't listen to these comments, and only care about how much monetary gain they can rake in before the player base declines, and EA pulls the funding on the project. I'll give you one example on why this is true. Clips go viral on social media of an uncanny resemblance to the dickies pants and the pink cargo pants you can obtain. The full circle team recognizes this, and pushes a fix, to look better to the public eye. Their fix: remove the pink cargo pants from the box, and keeps the generic dickies bundle. This shows they only care about their public image, and not what the community thinks. All of those clips are taken out of context, and they missed the overall point. The point was that these bundles are lacking in value. They are incredibly generic and are blatant copies of other clothing assets in game, with minor color and texture changes. Its lazy, and the whole team knows it. Yet they refuse to address it, because they have no intention of changing their ways. Instead they remove the original model from the free box, and restrict that cargo pants model behind a paywall. Today I reached my boiling point with this game. The physics after all this time should be polished and even finished. I've spent 30 minutes on a vert ramp in the community park, getting glued into an axle stall on the coping every time i pre-wind for a trick. I know for a fact its not a skill issue, because movements like this are muscle memory, and i've done it enough to know whether its a fault of my own or a glitch with the physics. Take this as a bug report, feedback, whatever you want. I know the direction this game is headed, and it's an early grave. I'm giving up, I'm not one to sit around and watch things die. I probably wont be participating in the 7-ply maple whatever the f*ck you wanna call it. I probably won't even be playing this game again for a long time. My disappointment with this game is immeasurable, If I was offered a refund for the founders pack, I'd take it in a heart beat. I don't believe any of you deserve it anymore.DrunkenPirate7744 minutes agoSeasoned Hotshot22Views2likes2CommentsHas potential but a long way to go
Short and sweet, this is not good or fun to play compared to the older Skate games. First big problem, unfortunately to say after making what seemed like a really cool map where virtually the whole place is a skatepark, not having the realism of skating around town where there may be a line to skate or you may have to go a block or two before you hit an actual spot has ruined it. Example, on Skate 3 near the industrial zone was a bit of a stretch with very little to do but up the hill you could find a little road that had a downhill line of very realistic sidewalk stairs and gaps and stuff, that you could sit there for hours hitting every little thing from a long grind across some stairs to just catching a little air off a curb up into the street. Second biggest problem, and its weird to explain, but something about the speed you can travel in just 4 pushes, combined with a lack of ability to pop the board a decent height, but popping off anything that ramps up causes a very major amount of pop, causes a lot of obstacles to feel too small to care for, and worst off just about any realistic skate spot feels this way, so only stuff that is a little more unrealistic or just huge even if its possible in real life tends to be the only places you can get somewhat normal feeling response from the controls. I cant find one pyramid that feels just right to sesh for a while, because they all feel too small and youll clear them to flat 9 times outta 10, unless you get just the right one or two pushes and dont accidentally let another push get in before you set up for the trick. Again, its weird to explain, but simple to say would best sound like; the game feels unproportional because of the off balanced controls. Maybe tone down the pushes and use a button as a shift key to power push? Last main problem is sticking to grinds like magnets. Its just plain embarrassing to know you have this problem after so many years and skateboarding games have been made, and Skate 3 had it perfected, which means you fell off pretty hard to be on THPS1's level of imperfection that was more or less "allowed' in such early days of modern video gaming, but not for quite some time. Not only do you frequently end up grinding something you had no intention of doing, but then you get stuck in it and every time you try to pop out of it all you do is end up in another grind stance like some dumb stationary combo that nobody does and the only way to get out of it is just to get off your board which then usually triggers your skater to fall and go thru that until they can stand up again assuming you dont get so screwed that it takes you to your last respawn point. Thats a lot of pain in the diaryaire for getting stuck in a stationary grind that you magnetized towards while trying to gap over said object... All this said, I would never ask you to destroy the map you made, just maybe when you make dlc in the future make skate spots that are actual famous skate spots and have names that are super close to the actual name of the place so its obvious, like if you remade Carlsbad but call it Carlsgood. I respect the thought of making a whole fantasy city an entire skatepark whos city counsel is all young skaters for people who just wanna play the game mindlessly, its a fun concept that shouldnt really be tossed away. However, most of us who actually have skated our whole lives enjoyed the earlier skate games because of how real it felt to skate anything from a sidewalk curb, to a bench, to a half pipe, to a mega ramp. Part of that realism also was based on camera angle to your character and speed they could easily travel without getting too fast too quick. We like to feel like in game we can shred a spot a little better than we can in real life, and not "play Tony Hawk". You had no reason to compete with those games, Skate brings in the real skaters, not 5 year olds with dreams of soaring off skyscrapers into dumpsters. Youve just taken away too much realism, and where you can try to play the game doing realistic stuff the game is unproportional to the controls (unless obstacles are actually just too small) and you magnetize to ledges you werent trying to hit a grind on in the first place. I wish you guys the best of luck trying to fix this, but I will admit I'm only a few hours in and already looking for one more reason to just delete the game for now. But, you didnt make me pay anything to help with the trial run, and for that, if I do delete it, it would only be temporary while you fix it up and then I would be back.2Views0likes0CommentsNot enough Tix
Why are we gatekeeping tix from players? I've been grinding everyday to get Tix to finish this season.pass. It's like you expect players to pay extra to complete it after already paying to gain access to it. I have 11 days left to get 4400 tix to complete the pass. And the only available tix are from the free 100 a day and the 250 daily. Even if I manage to do that without flaw. I will still need another 550. And I mean, I been PLAYING. I feel bad for the people who payed to enjoy this pass and had less time available to them to attempt this seemingly impossible task.The_Keef_Nugget57 minutes agoRising Novice3Views0likes0CommentsYou wont add/fix anything but Cosmetics.
I've been logging in and doing the daily's practically every day, and I felt like I was just gonna get all the skate pass stuff. Now seeing no missions for this week just challenges and I have no clue if I'm gonna actually get it now. And the 7 ply event like its just challenges now? you did missions for Halloween? Those "event" missions are the things that keep me playing. Cause you keep using the same daily missions repeated/shuffled. Like ive done the same f-ing mission 30 times cause somehow you cant add new ones. You wont add new **bleep** unless its cosmetic. I'm f-ing done with your cash grab. Skate 3 had more features, like how do you drop the ball this hard? Textures broken since day 1, Physic Glitches, UI Glitches, crashes, crappy servers and online services. its not fun dealing with all this sh!t while you guys add new clothes and wont fix it. I really, really wanted to have a new skate game to love, guess its gonna die to EA's greed.Faithfu72 hours agoSeasoned Newcomer5Views0likes0CommentsIf you don't change something, this game will die.
I'm really trying to enjoy this game; I've been playing for 80 hours now (which is very little compared to other skateboarding games I've played, where gameplay time is measured in hundreds, if not thousands, of hours). However, I have a serious problem with SKATE: it's simply boring. Until now, I've been completing tasks, completing them over and over again until I reached level 10 in each district, and let me tell you, it was simply exhausting. However, I don't think I've ever started this game just to play, skate, explore... I've been waiting until I feel like it, and I DON'T. I keep wondering what the main problem is, and I think it's the controls. After years of playing SKATER XL and SESSIONS, we're accustomed to very precise gameplay, to controls that allow us to hit the railing with our truck at the right angle. If something didn't work out in those games, it was clearly my fault, so I want to play more and get better. In Skate, it's like I'm trying to do a boardslide, and the rail pulls my board up, and pretty much ANYTHING happens. I feel like I'm back in some arcade Game Boy game where you have to press buttons quickly and carelessly. Like I'm playing a stripped-down Tony Hawk. The only thing I enjoy is riding ramps and doing grabs, because other games couldn't handle that, and SKATE does it more or less okay. Another problem is the game's lack of skate culture. It lacks skateboarding brands, skateboarding personalities, and anything related to skateboarding culture; the game is culturally sterilized. Then there's the lack of a story. I don't know if a story would have saved this game. Maybe it would have encouraged me to play another few hours, but it still won't keep me glued to this game for hundreds of hours. However, the lack of a story is a major flaw. And this whole fuss about some kind of monetary system is just laughable. I enter the game, hoping to have some fun, and today I get a message saying I've received some coins. You can guess where I got them. What am I supposed to do with them? Buy a dress just to stay bored in it? As a final icing on the cake, we can add the long animation for opening these packages that often breaks, showing you opening the same thing twice, and in the end, you still get some crap like a sticker you don't want. On top of that, you can't edit your character's stats, speed, ollie height, flip speed... it's a disaster. This way, I can't use the board to its full potential because there's only one rail height I can jump on. Everything else is out of my reach because my character skates slowly and jumps low. YOU'RE KILLING THIS GAME RIGHT FROM THE VERY BEGINNING. In my opinion, this game is made by people who have no love for skateboarding games, and above them are people who prioritize making money from the game, and that way you won't make any money because the game will die. Thanks EA .....168Views11likes10CommentsBugged mission: Single Bridge Gap
Today's daily mission, the stunt mission "Single Bridge Gap" is bugged. I successfully caveman into the canal ramp, hit the flip trick, manual the bridge... and then it resets the attempt mid-air, before I land successfully on the Lily Pad. When it sends me back to the start, the "Hit the Lily Pad" goal will be circled, like I've hit it and it's waiting for me to finish a line. I've done it 3 times now in a single attempt and cannot complete the 5th objective "All the above in one attempt" because each time it resets my line while I'm mid air. This was not happening before the most recent update.luckysamurai3 hours agoNew Traveler660Views11likes6CommentsWill EA listen?
This is my third and final feedback I will provide, I gave detailed feedback on 1st survey they provided and then another detailed once S1 came out. Skate has a ton of potential but, I think, with how long this has been out, the gravity of the situation is this project was given to a newer generation of developers. I would be curious how many original developers of S123 put time, effort, and feedback into this game. I'm not saying the new developers weren't able to put together a smooth functional game, they did, but it's a reskinned version of a Fort Nite model. The type of target audience that is so aggressively marketed to is wild. EA... you have the secret sauce; you literally don't have to even be creative. Watch og Skate 2 intro, there's your vibe. and Add any story, geez something I don't even care, bring Death Races, Hall of Meat, SKATE, 1UP, and every other game mode you have already created. Custom Community Parks - The arena EA isn't doing **bleep** with, how about we can explore an infinite amount of player created parks or the ones we create ourselves. If they were to listen to this truly, their player count wouldn't have fallen off the face of the earth, I played it a ton when it came out. I have barely turned it on in weeks, and when I do, it gets turned off quickly. I know it's Early Access but, if you dropped the "Full Release" and incorporated what is above, you could probably have a game you could milk for 10 years, Skate 3 was timeless and still enjoyable to this day. If EA continues the Fort Nite effect route, this game will be nothing in 10 years. You had 15M people play it? They were that excited bc S123 were so good, and now it barley sustains players, hmm, maybe we go back to what worked the last 3 times in a row. I only shared 3 reviews with EA because of my love for Skate 1, 2, and 3. They were childhood core memories, I grew up on Tony Hawk, Left X Kickflip, transitioning into the flick tech was such a cool upgrade. I really hope they listen to the deep down reviews. EA will need to drop massive update, if we expand little by little, I don't think this game will ever recover its player count. Fingers crossed and I'll write a book on how great EA is if they could actually pull something like this off.8Views0likes0CommentsReally upset with how this game is being handled!!!
I get that its free to play but lets be serious we waited 15 years for a new skate just to be given a skate with the bare minimum. Season 1 pass is god awful with inconsistent (svb) and overpriced items and the items aren’t even good minus the skinny jeans and white low top sneakers, the seasonal task gets completed but for what? Absolutely nothing! The Halloween event was horrendous they introduced another currency and you can only use it for what 19 items even though they kept introducing new Halloween items but you had to use actual money for them… what was the point in even putting the new currency in the game if you were just going to charge us normally for the Halloween stuff anyway? Im sitting on 4,300 extra chocolate with nothing to spend them on but there is still plenty of Halloween stuff that it could be used for! The lack of tricks that should already be in the game considering they were in previous games like darkslides, fingerflips, grab grinds etc…. This game has felt like spit in our face if you ask me. Just cause its free to play doesn’t make it right to short change us. Other free to play games at least make sense with their content most of the time.YoungHikari74 hours agoSeasoned Rookie169Views12likes10CommentsError code 4269825243
Haven't played skate. for like a week and a half and all of the sudden I can't get into the game anymore. Always get error code 4269825243 saying it can't find an internet connection. Tried rebooting my PS5, tried unplugging for 60 seconds and reinstalling the game after but still get the same code. I'm on a stable 500mbps connection so I know that's not it though. Was hoping to get in some grinds tonight, hope it gets fixed soon. :/ Edit: tried installing the PS4 version where I was able to log in first try (which doesn't fix my issue but still proves the problem isn't on my end). PS4 version also runs like **bleep** btw do not recommend14Views0likes0CommentsBrands I would like in the game
Since cosmetics seems to be the focus, here are my suggestions of major and small brands I would like in the game. People feel free to give your suggestion in the comments of this post too :) Major brands: Baker Zero Deathwish Ace Anti-hero Welcome Hookups Shake Junt Independent Krooked **bleep** Awesome Smaller brands: Skull skates/B.A.K.U Heroin Skateboards JacuzziUnlimited Hammers Quasi Hockeyhenrycampolina5 hours agoRising Scout7Views0likes0CommentsMore customisation
First off I just wanna say I enjoy the game and it's great to see skate back, I love pulling off all the tricks and think you guys done a great job with that in my opinion. Please add more in body customisation though like for example there should be more body types or ways to increase how muscular or curvaceous or skinny or slim or whatever my character is. Also more clothing items that modern skaters wear and accessories like earrings, bracelets, chains. thank you.14Views0likes1CommentFix the physics.
I would be willing to overlook the AI generated crap, the weak animation, the lack of clothing options, etc if the game actually felt anything like skateboarding. There are truly so many issues with the physics engine; perceived motion, rotations not finishing intuitively like they had in the previous games, being unable to adjust your slide/grind while on the rail/ledge in certain areas, the pop consistently not popping with the intensity you're giving it, held tricks not holding, aim-assist for rails just not doing anything in a lot of cases... It makes even the most genuine attempt at playing so difficult to get through The balance between how fast my character is actually moving vs the perception of motion is awful, I have so much trouble gauging when to pop appropriately for the tricks I'm being forced to attempt in some of these challenges. Two pushes isn't enough by a long shot, and three pushes doesn't look any faster but makes me completely overshoot the obstacle. Running and throwing down makes me move visibly faster than pushes ever will, but then the pop mechanics at that speed don't make any sense. The gravity is weird, the friction of the wheels on concrete doesn't seem to apply, I shouldn't be able to casually roll up a ramp the size of a 20 stair on two lackluster pushes. There is entirely too much margin for error allotted for landing while spinning, but not enough given for landing unrealistically high drops. I can't properly balance how fast it APPEARS im going with how fast the game has decided i'm actually going and that makes doing tricks feel boring. I understand you have to scale things up and down in order for them to feel good when done in video game format, but the excitement of doing a kickflip back smith on a 20 stair handrail is lost when you have to approach it at half-of-one-pushes-worth of speed because otherwise you entirely overshoot the rail or don't land on it til the bottom of the stairs. Overall the pop mechanic feels awful and inconsistent. Being set up in a stupid spot that doesn't actually line you up for the challenge at hand is nothing new to the SKATE franchise, but the fact that the pop mechanic is so finicky and makes no intuitive sense makes it nearly impossible to deal with the poor placement because I can't even force the game to assist me into landing in the right spot. The aim assist situation for the rails is terrible, I've NEVER had so much trouble landing on a rail in a skateboarding game in my life. The controls also are weird as hell. Don't ask me if I'm familiar with the skate franchise, give me an option for "OG" controls and then NOT HAVE THEM SET UP LIKE THE ORIGINAL SKATE 3 CONTROLS. The amount of back and forth I've had to do to get the controls to sit correctly on my controller [XB on PC] is ridiculous. I have spent a lot of time defending the fact that the game is still in early access and not finished, but the core of the game needs to be the physics engine and it's severely lacking in that department. Above all else it should FEEL good to play. It should feel ALMOST like skateboarding. Session and Skater XL went for the full simulation route and it's TOO real. SKATE was born to bring skateboarders a balance between really skateboarding and arcade style games like the Tony Hawk franchise. The halfway point between a simulator and a kiosk. This installment has crossed back over the line into arcade-style territory entirely too much, and without reigning it back in for the actual skateboarders who grew with this franchise, I believe you will continue to have a disproportionate amount of disappointed fans and users with the current product.13Views1like1Commentrip score
hello. good afternoon. i am having fun in skate. i’ve been playing the game since it came out to the public , and i actually like it due to how much fun it’s been having. i am also going for all the achievements. one achievement caught my eye and its one that says we need to have 11,000 rip score in order to get it. the only ways to earn rip score is to finish all the main line missions, and from boxes when u get something. by the end of everything unlocked/completed i’ve had 6k rip score. it seems like in order to achieve that i’ll have to do using real world money seeing as you get rip score when u get items from the shop. is there any way in the distant/close future we can get more ways/opportunities to earn rip score ? that’s really all i had to recommend. thank you373Views0likes3Comments
