Welcome to BNS 187: A Chalet Retreat The scents of spruce and peppermint accompany the couple who step into your office. Flakes of melting snow from the first real snow of the year dust their clothes and hair. “Mr. and Mrs. Yukimura, welcome,” you greet them. “I hope the drive wasn’t too bad?” “Not at all. We’re used to driving in the snow,” Rin Yukimura answers. He has an air of dignity and cool reserve about him. “That’s good. Now, what can I help you with?” “We’ve just won the lottery,” Fuyuko Yukimura answers before her husband can. “We want to build our vacation home on it. A chalet-style house. It’s been our dream for years, and we can finally make it come true with your help.” She seems more relaxed and friendlier than her husband. But maybe he’s just shy around strangers or doing his best to appear businesslike? You don’t want to be too quick to judge. “I’m glad to help. How large of a chalet are you thinking?” “Nothing big or fancy. Three bedrooms with ensuite baths and a half-bath for guests will be plenty,” Mr. Yukimura replies. “One of the bedrooms should have an attached living area as well - we’re considering renting it out to earn some extra income.” “The upstairs bedrooms should also have balconies,” Mrs. Yukimura adds. “On the first floor, we want an open floor plan so the view can be enjoyed from anywhere in the house. We need a kitchen, dining room, living room, and a half-bath for guests.” “We will be spending a lot of time outdoors, hiking or biking in the summer and skiing and snowboarding in the winter, so we don’t need a very large lot. A patio for outdoor entertaining in the summer would be nice though,” Mr. Yukimura says. “Naturally, we’ll need storage space for our gear and bicycles.” “With a telescope. I love observing the sky at night,” Mrs. Yukimura adds. “Oh! We would love a fire pit or outdoor fireplace to heat the pater so it can be used in cooler weather too. And there should be one or two fireplaces inside as well.” “That all sounds doable. Do you have a preference for where this chalet should be located?” you ask. “In the mountains would be great, but we understand if that’s not possible. In which case we’ll take anywhere we can enjoy the change of seasons and the outdoors,” Mrs. Yukimura answers. You make a note of their preferences. “All right, and what is your budget?” Mr. Yukimura answers this time. *$150,000. Will that be enough?” “Yes. We’ll get right on this with winter coming, and should have your chalet ready by the end of the month.” The Brief: Budget: 125,000 Lot size: Any size that will fit the Yukimuras’ requirements while still leaving room for landscaping. While building the chalet in a mountainous area would be nice, it is not required. The chalet should have three bedrooms and three and a half baths. One of the bedrooms should have an attached living room as well as the bath so it can be rented out as a separate unit. Note: This part of the challenge was written to allow anyone who has the For Rent pack to use the residential rental lot trait, but it can as easily be for a base game roommate. The main living area should have an open floor plan with lots of windows. Upstairs bedrooms need balconies. The covered patio should have room to entertain and an outdoor fireplace. The house should have at least two fireplaces inside. Include a storage space for the Yukimuras’ gear - bicycles, skis, sleds. Remember to landscape. The Sim Challenge: Create Rin and Fuyuko Yukimura. You can pick all of their traits, likes, dislikes etc.. Show them enjoying their new home. Show all of their outfits. The Room Challenge: Create the Yukimuras’ bedroom. Budget: 15,000 Remember to include the hashtag #bns187 with your build or it will not be judged! So, I decided to ask Chat GPT to make a movie preview for, "The Terminator", if it were in the world of "The Sims 4". [Quirky, upbeat music begins, the sound of an opening Simlish jingle plays.] Narrator (playfully): In a world where anything can happen… you build the life they live. But some things are just too strange to control. [Cut to a sunny suburban neighborhood. A Sim in a leather jacket, the Siminator, walks down the street with a cold, calculating look on their face.] Narrator (suspenseful): He’s the perfect addition to your neighborhood… But the Siminator doesn’t just fit in. [Quick shots of the Siminator stepping into a house, looking around, then pulling out a futuristic gadget from their pocket to scan a family portrait.] Siminator (in monotone): "Eliza Pancakes... must... be... terminated." [Cut to Eliza Pancakes (Sarah Connor in this world) working in her kitchen, unaware of the incoming danger. Her husband, Bob Pancakes (Kyle Reese in disguise), enters the room.] Bob Pancakes (looking concerned): “Eliza, something’s wrong. There’s a Siminator in town…” [Cut to chaotic scenes: The Siminator relentlessly building a robot army in a futuristic basement, a fight with Bob Pancakes in the backyard involving a pool ladder, and Eliza running through the house, trying to barricade doors with couches.] Narrator (intense): When the stakes are high… there’s no escaping fate. But can Bob Pancakes protect Eliza? Or will the Siminator destroy their family… forever? [Quick shots: Eliza firing an "overcharged" water balloon at the Siminator, Bob Pancakes nervously checking his phone for updates on the “Siminator’s behavior,” and the Siminator going through a terrifying Simlife glitch—changing outfits in a flash.] Narrator (dramatic): Love. Family. Chaos. In the world of The Sims, anything can happen… But when the Siminator arrives, all bets are off. [Cut to the family frantically running away from the Siminator, who is now chasing them on a motor scooter through the streets of Willow Creek.] Siminator (coldly): "Your Sim life ends here." [The camera zooms in as the Siminator dramatically crashes into a mailbox. The sound of a fire alarm rings out as the Pancakes' house starts to burn.] Narrator (chuckling nervously): The Sims has always been unpredictable… But now… It’s out of control. [Final shot: Eliza Pancakes, Bob Pancakes, and the Siminator standing in the middle of a pool party, staring at each other as the screen flashes to a sizzling BBQ.] Narrator (excitedly): The Siminator is here… And nothing is safe. [The title appears in bold, bright Simlish letters:] “The Siminator” Narrator (playful): Will you survive the ultimate family drama? Find out… in The Sims 4: The Siminator. [A sizzling sound as the screen fades to black.]Justaguy66693 days agoRising Novice28Views0likes0CommentsThe Whittaker Saga: 1950s - Another war (01/12)
I was vastly inspired when reading the decades challenge, and as a history teacher, I could not stop myself from giving it a try. Of course, true to my nature or refusing to do things by the book, the first thing I did was break the rules. How? By creating as my protagonist a single, working woman living on her own! Gasp! Why? Partly because a story popped into my head, but also, partly, to honor the many women who - by choice or necessity - actually worked, and worked hard for their living in the 1890s. We tend to forget them, but the working women were there - from the hard working farmers that we often downgrade by calling wives, as if they weren't an essential part of the economy of the farm, to the working class women working as domestic help or in the factories where they were only payed half of a man's wages. So with that, I introduce Abigail Spencer, a single, working, middle class woman in 1890s Willow Creek: As middle class there is only a few jobs available to Abigail, that of governess or that of teacher. Abigail is therefore a teacher, teaching at Willow Creek Elementary School. She lives right next door to the school, in a small shotgun house with a few chickens and a patch of land to help her make ends meet (teachers really were not payed a lot during this time either). Obviously, her biggest goal in life is to find a husband, get married and start a family so that she won't have to work. (In fact, a teacher, as well as many other working women, automatically lost their job if they got married during this time.) But to get married, she needs to find a husband. Meet Willow Creek's eligible bachelors: Matthew Godeau: Matthew is one of the richest men in Willow Creek. A bit too old to still be a bachelor he lives with his widowed mother in Ophelia house (yes, eventually this family changed their names and became the Goths. Ophelia house is named from Matthew's mother). Pro: Matthew is creative, just like Abigail, as well as a romantic and would be sure to bestow lots of attention on a wife. He lives in one of the biggest houses in town, and is a wealthy business man. Abigail would have a good life with him. Con: His mother. Ophelia is a woman set in her own ways and she is not about to let some silly girl interfere with how she runs her house! Ophelia is mean, materialistic and an overachiever. She is not likely to see some middle class teacher as good enough for her son. Add that she has raised her son to be not only creative and romantic, but also incredibly self absorbed and the household may prove hard to be comfortable with. Joseph Whittaker: Joseph is a novellist, living in the stately Whittaker house, which with time, will be turned into the well renowned Willow Creek Archive. He has no mother (a definite pro), but two very young children. A son and a daughter, from a previous marriage. Pro: Joseph is a bookworm, just like Abigail and is sure look favourably on her past as a teacher. They are also both family orientated which means they are a good match in personalities and would likely find a lot of common ground. The house is ripe with books, and Joseph's two motherless children desperately need a mother to tend to their needs. With two live in maids it's a comfortable life focused on the family and the books she so loves. Con: Joseph very much mourns his dead wife, and keeps her picture on the wall over the fireplace. Can he ever truly love again, or will Abigail forever live in the shadow of the woman he loved and lost? Loyd Brennan: Loyd is the owner of Brennan's Groceries and Dry Goods, the biggest (only) shop in town. He lives with his sister Mary and their dachshund above the store. Pro: Loyd is outgoing and friendly and easy to get along with. He's self assured, but unlike Matthew, not self absorbed. He works hard and provides a good home. As a working man he does not mind a working wife, so Abigail would do more than sit around being pretty. He loves dogs, and anyone who does cannot be bad - right? Con: Living in a store would mean working in the store. There is no way the wife of a store owner is not in that store working along side her husband. Without money for a maid, this involves not just working in the store but running the household as well. The apartment isn't really big enough for a large family and unless Mary gets married, it's bound to be crowded. Then there is the fact that she and Mary does not really get along well. Paul Heydale: Paul is a farmer, living with his entire family at Garden Essence, a farm with a cow, chickens and a whole lot of crops. They're a tight knit family who works hard for what they have. Pros: Paul, like Abigail is both creative and family orientated. He dreams of becoming a painter rather than a farmer. By marrying him, Abigail would be wrapped up in a large family who would be there for her, something she'd never had before. His family is also very friendly, and Abigail teachers his younger sister and has already met and chatted with his mother and father and really likes the entire family. Con: Marrying a farmer would be a step down the social ladder, and the life of a farmer is hard! Is Abigail cut out for working out from early morning to late evening without ever more than making ends meet? And the house is crowded as is, with Paul's parents and two younger siblings (so far). Where would more children live? Is Abigail prepared for the hard life that accompanies this choice? Now I wanted to make a poll, but apparently you cannot do this in this section of the forums. So I'll leave you with a question instead - who do you believe Abigail will most likely fall in love with and why? Matthew Joseph Loyd Paul Finally, here is my Willow Creek in 1890: *** An important note about the future postings in this story: After trying and fighting the forum to get the posts up and running as they are supposed to work, I have now decided that it's simply too much work. Instead, I have started a blog that (hopefully soon) will contain all of the chapters from here and the old forum. I am currently at 1891 and moving forwards quite rapidly. Here the posts of each chapter will be replaced by a link to the chapters in the blog as I move forwards, though I will leave any comments as they are. The massive perk with this is that I do not need to worry about editing in all images manually, and the loading time will decrease enormously without them. The process of reading is also easier at the blog - and while the blog itself is in the wrong order, I have set up a list of all chapters in chronological order for new readers as well as a search function if you are looking for a specific chapter. Another perk is that I have some new options, like character pages where you can get a summary of each of the main character in the story (warnings for spoilers) and a separate page about the challenge, how time moves. I hope I will be able include a link to the family tree as well. It will take some time to get everything set up, and I do appreciate input in the process. I do promise that the story will go on, and hope you will keep reading it and commenting on it either here or on the new blog. November 30th below: Spencer-Kim-Lewis family get a house renovation Nov 30 Update- Packs so far: Base game and Laundry Day (I started with L&D still on, but decided to wait a little while while I'm renovating some lots). I found out I love Laundry Day so much that I really don't like living without it. Also, I'd really like to have a laundry space in every home. Introducing my new Legacy Rotation (started Nov. 5, 2024) Over the last month I've been experimenting with play styles, and I think I've found one that fits me really well. I love rotational gameplay. I've been waiting for Life and Death to come out to start, because I want every sim to have a personal gravestone and place within their history. I also want to really play each and every household that is premade. So, I've created one sim to start, and I've decided on Willowcreek as my starting point for this rotational legacy. I've disabled all of my packs except Laundry Stuff. I can't imagine a house without laundry. And of course, the new expansion, Life and Death. I won't be adding packs back in quickly. I really want to soak in every single one until I feel satisfied, and then add an element to my game rotation. I also want their ages to be staggered. I'm going to start off by staggering them through use of the Potion of Youth at various non-necessary times, so that birthdays will also be different for each sim. One Goal at a Time First Rotational Goal: Establish everyone in their career. If they don't have a career, choose one for them or assign them a role (mom, tutor, seed collector, etc). Order of Rotations: I'm starting out with 6 Households in Willowcreek, and then as I feel I can handle another household, I'll introduce them into the mix. My next post will have the names and pictures.WisdomBuilders3 days agoRising Ace163Views4likes19CommentsNEIGHBORHOOD RAGS TO RICHES CHALLENGE
Hi Simmers! I have been watching a YouTuber simmer, Salise Plays, who, I believe, created this challenge. It's a rags to riches challenge where your sim starts with nothing on an empty lot with 0 simoleons, and has a week to survive in one neighborhood in a sim world in winter., using only the resources in that neighborhood. There are lot restrictions such as off-the-grid, simple living and reduce-recycle. The neighborhood is normally bulldozed, so the sim does not have access to free chips at the bar, for instance. There will be exceptions to this as apartments can't seem to be bulldozed in The Sims (so, San Myshuno will remain intact, just the businesses bulldozed). Also no cheats for easy simoleons, such as buying the decoration box and rummaging for decorations and then selling them. The sim she uses normally has positive traits such as loves the outdoors, self-assured, etc. You can watch her videosHERE. But I will be attempting this challenge, with a twist. The sim I will be using will have all negative traits. A sim not very suitable for survival in a rags to riches style of play. Her clothes may change as she heads to different worlds, but her traits will always remain the same. And here she is! Meet Allie Beck. Her traits are squeamish, vegetarian, clumsy and her Aspiration will be Fabulously Wealthy. I don't think any of these traits will give her an advantage in surviving the week. An additional challenge rule that I created is that all holidays will be cancelled on the calendar, because with a 7-day week, Winterfest falls in the middle of the week, and you could get a substantial gift from Father Winter, so, nah, not going to happen. However, I am going to keep New Year's Eve on the calendar as that is our deadline to have a small furnished house, with bathroom, bedroom, kitchen (or outdoor grill), and living room areas (could be one open area). The challenge ends when Spring arrives on Sunday. To have some starter funds, my sim will be allowed to take a selfie (5 pics) once she arrives on her lot in each neighborhood. If you would like to attempt this challenge, you can post your sim and progress here if you wish, (you can create your sim with any traits and aspiration). Using a randomized wheel spinner, the first world will be San Myshuno, and the randomized wheel spinner for the neighborhood will be Uptown. Skye Fitness Gym will be bulldozed and she will live there. Here's hoping she will survive!SoulGal75 days agoSeasoned Hotshot85Views3likes5CommentsEnchantedOatmeal's Community Lot Showcase

Updated for Life & Death. This is a legacy challenge where each generation represents a different letter, and must explore all of the game play starting with that letter: aspirations, collections, woohoo spots, reward store traits, you name it. I already have athread for this challenge that has been updated through Crystal Creations. Since it was transferred from the old forum, it was very hard to update further. Ignore any objective related to a pack you don’t own. You can choose to skip a generation if your pack limitations leave it extremely short on content. I've removed three of the letters (Q,U,Y) from the challenge because they don't have much to do, even with all the packs. No cheat codes that help you move through your objectives faster. No rules about aging. No rules governing non-heirs. Just because one generation has something as an objective, doesn’t mean that other generations can’t do it for fun/convenience. If you don’t have at least three traits in the assigned letter, you have to randomize the rest. No self-discovery traits starting with a different letter. Each heir's name, and that of any pets they have, must begin with their letter. Likes and Dislikes: The heir can only have the likes/dislikes assigned to their generation. Color preferences are assigned when they age up to Child. From that point forward, all the heir's outfits will reflect their color preferences. If you decorate a space for them, you must consider their color preferences. Fashion and interior design preferences are assigned when they age up to teen (if you have those packs). From that point forward, all their outfits and decorated spaces will reflect their style preferences. Lot Traits and Challenges: The heir must have all of their assigned lot challenges equipped in all of their designated residences. If the heir has three assigned lot traits or less, they also must be assigned. If the heir has four or more lot traits, they have to change up which three are in play. The heir's transitional aspirations (the ones that decide the bonus traits) have to be aspirations from their generation, unless they don't have two aspirations. At the start of the challenge, the Gen 1 "founder" will be very young, so you will need to give them at least one parent. Overtime, I'll add to this post to expand the Table of Contents and make it easier to access the chapters. Table of Contents Use the links in the Table of Contents to read the chapters in order. The links are working and will take you straight to a chapter. This should save people the trouble of scrolling through the thread. Eventually, I plan on trying to put the "Meet the MerSims" Section in the comments of this thread along with the chapters. I am adding links to each of my posts to help with navigation. The Little Merman Arc Chapter 1: The Shadow of the Sea Witches Chapter 2: Swimming to Zalia Grottos Chapter 3: Life's Full of Tough Choices Chapter 4: A Change in the Tides Chapter 5: The Embers of Love Merfolk of the Sulani Seas Lore My merfolk won't die from old age, and I'll be following many rules for my merfolk outlined in the following link. I expect that it could be easier to cheer for a specific character since they won't disappear anytime soon. Merfolk of the Sulani Seas Technical Details SimLit Tips in the New Forums One of the things I noticed when the new forums were created was that not everything transferred here looking the way it was supposed to. I opted out of having my story transferred for me and took a great deal of time working through a lot of troubleshooting to find the easiest way to share longer posts. In the comments of this thread, I had a great deal of help from the community as I worked on transferring chapters from Answers HQ. Now that the transfer to the new forums is complete, I think I found the best way to get around the Forums tendency to Auto-Refresh the webpage and erase all progress instead of saving it. My suggestion is in the following link. I will update it with any other findings and suggestions can be shared there so everyone can benefit from them. It's possible this has been fixed while I was away, but I think this suggestion can still be helpful. SimLit Posting Suggestion after Troubleshooting Meet the MerSims Overtime, each character profile for each pod will be updated as new members of the pod are added. As an added bonus, if there is a pod you like to follow, readers can now make replies to specific pods as I move them from this post. The links should make getting to the desired section easier. Meet the Zalrian Pod Meet the Marus Pod The Vatore Pod Caleb Vatore Caleb is Damion's Life Partner and the Patriarch of the Vatore Pod. Caleb was one of the few good vampires that protected humans. After an incident with Vampire Hunters, he lost his life protecting Damion. His untimely demise was not something Damion could accept, and Caleb was resurrected the only way Damion could bring him back. Caleb was reborn as a merman, and like all reef and reborn merfolk, he does not have a human form he can use to return to his life on land. Caleb has embraced his new life as a merman, but he still wants peace between humans and the magic realm. After becoming a merman, Caleb learned some merfolk history from his husband. Almost all the merfolk were driven away from Sulani ages ago by humans that couldn't tell the difference between Malevolent and Benevolent Merfolk. It seemed that the entire merfolk race was on the losing end of a very old conflict with humans. Up until now, he thought the conflict between humans and vampires was the oldest conflict between humans and the magic realm. The Merfolk around Sulani are what the Vampires would become if they continued down their dark path. As a merman, Caleb wants to see the return of merfolk to Sulani and desires peace between the land and sea. More than anything, he dreams of the day his husband returns to what he was before that fateful night. What Damion became didn't escape Caleb's notice, his once kind and loving husband became consumed by something dark after bringing him back from death. Still, Caleb holds onto the hope that Damion will find his way back to the light. He still believes that there is good in him. Even though he knows this is a dream, he refuses to give up on hope. Caleb believes that one day he will see Damion as he remembers him. For now, the days of laying on the shore together remain a distant dream he thinks about, wishes for. Even after everything the humans did to him as a Vampire, he does not hold a grudge against them, and he longs for the day that Damion let's go of his hatred. Damion Vatore Damion is one of the six Guardians of the Seas and a merman born with a natural talent for Sea Sorcery. He mastered the art of Sea Sorcery and can brew every potion and conjure any spell. Many years ago, Damion rescued Caleb Vatore from an ill fate at sea. Damion fell in love with Caleb in that moment. He didn't know Caleb was a vampire, and the merman didn't know about the humans that were actively hunting vampires. For Damion, he never cared enough about the human world to interact with it to begin with. Over time, Caleb fell in love with Damion. While Damion couldn't be on land with Caleb, the two of them met close to the sea. After several dates, the two learned a lot about each other. Damion treasured every moment he had with Caleb. Caleb enjoyed the escape from the shadows vampires dwelled in. During one of their shoreline meetings, Damion learned about how Caleb ended up sinking below the waves. Caleb was among the few good vampires that didn't want to harm humans. A group of evil vampires revealed Caleb's location to Vampire Hunters. The Vampire Hunters didn't know the difference between good and evil vampires, and the coven of evil vampires manipulated them to get rid of the vampires that protected humans. Damion didn't really care too much about the plight of humans. However, Caleb convinced Damion to give them the benefit of the doubt. The merman was moved by his boyfriend's desire to protect humans. Unfortunately, their meetings by the shore were discovered by the Vampire Hunters. The Humans in question didn't even know they were doing the bidding of the very vampires they swore to defeat. When they found Damion and Caleb, Caleb sacrificed himself to give Damion a chance to escape. Caleb promised Damion that he would escape and that they would see each other again. Caleb knew that Damion was too vulnerable on land. Reluctantly, Damion dove into the sea. That evening, the Vampire Hunters brought an end to Caleb. The following days, Damion came close to the shore, looking for Caleb. One night, he heard humans on a pier talking about their victory over the "evil" vampire and how they got a vacation out of it too. Upon hearing this, Damion was consumed by sorrow and hatred. His hatred of humans was born that day, and his sorrow drove him to dive into the depths of Dark Sea Sorcery. Eventually, Damion gathered what he needed to bring Caleb back as a merman. This came at a great personal cost to Damion. The merman's heart was twisted by the darkness he embraced. Damion's eyes lost their sea blue color as the dark magic consumed him. His pendent that marked him as a Guardian of the Sea lost its purple hue, turning obsidian black. Damion grew more obsessed with Sea Sorcery and became the Sea Witch other merfolk feared. And despite his crumbling reputation, many poor unfortunate mer came to him seeking spells. Dark Sea Sorcery allowed Damion to grant their wishes, permanently. While he could always dispel a contract and undo the magic. He never did. For better or for worse, his clients got their wishes with permanent consequences. Only Damion could release them from the contracts that bound the magic, but the Sea Witch coveted everything he collected. Even after Caleb was brough back and the two of them partnered for life, Damion continued to slip deeper into his dark magic. Alexander Goth Ukupanipo Hekekia Ukupanipo was a poor unfortunate soul that made a deal with Damion. He sought the heart of a mermaid that did not share his feelings. Damion was happy to help a fellow merperson, but his magic came at a price that Ukupanipo couldn't pay. Ukupanipo has lost his free will and is bound to Damion by the contract he signed. Ukupanipo has since turned to the darker side of the sea and serves Damion faithfully. He neither feels the warmth of love nor is he bothered by what is asked of him by Damion. The Vatore Pod Social Structure The Vatore Pod's Patriarchal Line of Succession In the Vatore Pod, the Patriarch Heirs are always mermen, and the line of succession is determined by age. This is kinda like a legacy, but the heirs do not become the Patriarch until after something happens to the current patriarch. A pod's Patriarch or Matriarch does not need a specific tail. While Alexander is technically adopted into the pod and not related by blood to Caleb, he is able to become the patriarch of the Vatore Pod. As a cursed merman and Damion's servant, Ukupanipo doesn't have any claim to becoming a Patriarch of this pod. Current Patriarch:Caleb Vatore First Heir:Damion Vatore Second Heir:Alexander Goth The Purple Tail Guardian of the Sea Line of Succession The Line of Succession for becoming a Guardian of the Sea is different from the Line of Succession for becoming a Pod Patriarch or Matriarch. The Six Guardians of the Sea possess voices that resonate with the primordial song that brought the first merfolk into existence. A Guardian of the Seas is always a merman. If a Merman meets the following conditions, an existing Guardian can pass their powers onto them. Must be a Merman or Merboy Must have the same tail color as the Current Guardian Must be a Reef Merman/Merboy Share the same Bloodline Potential Purple Tail Guardians Thanks to Damion's magic, Alexander Goth inherited Damion's Purple Tail and shares the Purple Tail Guardian Bloodline. The Patriarch of his Pod is Caleb and none of their children will inherit Damion's Purple Tail. Instead, their children will inherit Caleb's Orange Tail. Consequently, none of Damion's Children born from him and Caleb will be able to inherit the Powers of the Purple Tail Guardian. However, the descendants of Alexander Goth could potentially inherit the Purple Tail Guardian Bloodline. That will depend on his potential partner. Damion Vatore (Current Purple Tail Guardian) Alexander Goth The Keahloha Pod Makoa Keahloha A premade I added to my rotational gameplay. Unlike how he is in a new save, I made him a merman. Not just a human turned into a merman. In my story, he's 100% a natural born merman from the sea. This also means that his Ambitious trait was replaced with the Clumsy Trait, and I changed his aspiration to the Super Parent one. He still retains his core attributes though. He's active and family oriented. Additionally, Makoa fills the role as the Patriarch of his own pod, another small pod. Kai, Lano, and Tero Keahloha Kai was born in game. Lano and Tero were created in CAS to complete the triplet trio. Kai is an Innovator, Lano is a comedian, and Tero is dedicated to the arts. Their story will be just beginning and there will be updates to their character bios in the future. The Keahloha Pod Social Structure The Keahloha Pod's Patriarchal Line of Succession In the Keahloha Pod, the Patriarch Heirs are always mermen, and the line of succession is determined by age. This is kinda like a legacy, but the heirs do not become the Patriarch until after something happens to the current patriarch. A pod's Patriarch or Matriarch does not need a specific tail. Current Patriarch:Makoa Keahloha First Joint Heirs: Kai, Lano, and Tero Keahloha The Maelstren Pod Stevie Maelstren Because the Maelstren Pod was organized around a Patriarch, the males within the pod were used as a tool by other members of the pod to gain power. Much of the conflict was centered around the Patriarchal Line of Succession until the pod was no more. After the Maelstren Pod was scattered and destroyed from internal conflict, Stevie lost contact with the other remaining members of his pod, Lir and Calden. Lir Maelstren is Stevie's cousin, and Calden is Stevie's little brother. Stevie was the next in line to become the Patriarch of the Maelstren Pod once the conflict ended. Stevie saved Calden and Lir from the Maelstren Pod conflict, but along the way, he got separated from them and was never able to find them again. While Lir was adopted by the Zalrian Pod, Calden's whereabouts are still unknown. The Merman, Merboy, and Merling managed to survive the pod's destruction by staying away from the conflict. Originally, Stevie wanted to restore the Maelstren Pod. For that to happen, he needed to find a life partner, settle down, and locate his little brother and cousin. When Stevie fell in love with a mermaid, his heart was broken after learning of her betrayal. Torn up by a broken heart, he gave up on restoring his pod. Depressed and alone, he went to Damion for a way to escape his heartache and live a new life. Damion offered to grant him a human form in exchange for the Love in Stevie's Heart. Thinking he had nothing to lose, Stevie sacrificed his ability to find love again in exchange for the ability to take human form permanently. Stevie now lives a life between the land and sea. He's incapable of finding love again, but the loss of Love in his Heart did not corrupt him. Over many decades, Stevie adjusted to life in the human world and learned how to blend in with them. While he lives out his days on land, he always returns to his home in the sea. Among the islanders, Stevie is a known fire dancer and bartender. None of the other humans know he's a merman, and for the most part, he's begun to live a quiet and peaceful life on land. Many humans have fallen for his looks and charm, but the love is always one sided. While Stevie doesn't seek out romance of any kind, he's often hearing the troubles of humans that buy a drink from him. He's learned how to help others through their troubles. Calden Maelstren The Maelstren Pod Social Structure The Mordero Pod Camilo Mordero Anika Briones Ronen Mendez The Mordero Pod Social Structure More pods to be added in the future. Hi everyone. 🙂 This is the continuation of a story I started back in March on the old Vanilla forum. If you were a regular follower of the 'What Happened In You Game Today' thread, you already know Aurora and her little family. Her save started out as just for fun. To explore things within the game that I never had before. I was just going to share a few screenshots with captions. The original idea for this save was to only be about Aurora and her sidekick, her Bernese, Piccolo. But I realized a couple of weeks ago that, yeah, it had become a story. And it deserved its own space here on the new forum. This post and the next couple will help those of you who aren't familiar, become familiar. And since the previous updates were scattered over like 75-100 pages of the old WHIYGT thread it's a nice reminder for everyone that had been following along. The title is also a hint at another change. I'm going to start writing each update like it was an entry in Aurora's diary. I may still write something here and there in a more traditional style with dialogue though. I'm also getting ready to start the reboot of my other story and by writing this one like a diary it's a lot easier to do both and still keep this interesting. So let me introduce you to everyone. Aurora Westbrook-Carter Aurora came back to her country roots. Her parents left Chestnut Ridge just as she entered her teens. She still came back to see her grandparents during the summers. She loved those visits and getting away from the city. After graduating high school she went to art school where she honed her painting and photography skills. But she never lost her love for the quiet country life in Chestnut Ridge. Now she's back where she feels most at home. Tre Carter Aurora's husband Tre came from an entirely different background. He grew up on the streets of Del Sol Valley just like his father. His mother came from Ciudad Enamorada. Yet Tre has always fascinated by the country life. He has an abiding love for horses too. Even if his first real life encounters weren't exactly smooth. Piccolo Aurora's loyal sidekick. Peanut (l), Nashville(back), and Spirit Peanut is Aurora's champion American Saddlebred. Nashville is Tre's horse and Spirit is the newest addition to the family. **Table Of Contents** Recap Part One Recap Part Two Recap Part Three Recap Finale Chapter One Chapter Two Chapter Three556Views17likes26CommentsThe Legendary 'ehaught58' Creations
Hello fellow Simmers! My name is Ed, and I go by the screen name ehaught58. I have been creating a variety of lots for going on 25 years in the Sims franchise. Since the Sims 1 up through the Sims 4, I have created hundreds of detailed lots, several have been featured throughout the history of the franchise. I have not been advertising my lots since the Sims 4 began to give myself a break, but I continued building and posting for personal enjoyment. Some long-time fans of the Sims may remember me when I participated in several Sims events from 2004-2014. I have decided to try advertising my lots on here and the EA Discord to see if Simmers are still interested in downloading them. If I get a good response, I will continue posting them. Thank you to those of you who have supported me in the past, and welcome to all newcomers. Cracked Stone Castle: The Sims - The Gallery - Official Site Cracked Stone Castle_by ehaught58. Hello, dear readers! After the change to the Sims Forums, my Day and Knight thread was moved over but because of how cumbersome this forum is, those who've already read through the generations 1-6 and were waiting for more in Generation 7 would be absolutely LOST when trying to find a new post. I honestly am not sure how this forum will work exactly. If you're new to this story--Day and Knight was based off of the I'm a Lover Challenge. Wildly popular, this story followed the life of Alex Day and his romance journey. This lead to the legacy's start with a crazy, harrowing plot and many twists to the story. If you'd like to start on the journey, please go here: DAY AND KNIGHT GEN ONE For those who can't be bothered with a long read, start with GENERATION SEVEN. I will be updating here and on my wordpress site. Here's the newest chapter:DAY AND KNIGHT GENERATION 7.31 ENJOY!!! Love, pammiechick48Views1like1Comment**Creations by masajo** **Heritage House**

IDIC, a Cantrell: The Early Years, Part Four Update Brianna gazed out of the viewport, feeling the thrum of the engine beneath her booted feet. “It’s so dark,” she said as the space skiff landed ever so smoothly on the pad on the top of Mount Seleya, a knife gliding over butter. The only light, small circular lights set into the sand outlining the landing pad. “Midnight,” Joseph Cantrell confirmed. “It’s essential nobody knows who you are, in order for the test to be valid. For now, you are strictly the Candidate.” “Well, that’s not in the least bit impersonal. I do suppose it’s better than being known as the Anomaly, though.” As she watched out of the viewport, she noticed dark figures, barely seen, lining up in two rows, forming a corridor, of sorts. “I’m sorry, honey. This entire road for you has been a hard one. I’m certain once this test is over things will become easier.” “Easier? Daddy, you do know I’ve been accepted into the Starfleet Academy. It’s okay, I don’t expect easy. I’m unsure what God’s plans are for me, but there is a reason for all of this.” Joseph smiled at his daughter, draping an arm over her shoulders. “Come, it’s time to debark.” Before taking the ramp Brianna pulled the headpiece, which looked very much like a Mediaeval hood, over her head. The headdress completely swathed her head, much like ones worn before a hanging, her bundled blonde hair also concealed. Joseph took her by the elbow to guide her down the ramp. The short line of dark figures moved toward them, a light wind rippling the hems of their floor-length black robes. They were greeted by members of the High Council and Clergy. Joseph held his hand up in the Vulcan, split finger greeting, bowing his head in respect, glad and more at ease to see Ambassador Sarek and his consort, Amanda, was among the welcoming party. “We shall take it from here,” T’Pran said, as she greeted father and daughter. She took Brianna’s arm, escorting her up to the chamber in the High Tower. The stairs wound ever upward. The coolness of the interior was refreshing. Finally, they reached the top. Brianna could hear the heavy door squeal on its hinges as her former Governess opened the door. Leading the teen inside the doorway, T’Pran guided her over to a chair. “You may wish to take a seat. Things won’t be underway for an hour or so.” Watching for only a moment as Brianna found the arms on the chair to guide herself into the seat, T’Pran lit the incense in the molten rock carving on the Dias. The sweet, woody fragrance soon infused the room. Brianna had quite forgotten how calming it was. After a short time, T’Pran spoke, “You may remove the hood for now. It is time for you to change into appropriate clothing,” she said, opening a wardrobe and taking out a long, silken, white gown. “This should fit you well.” With a quick gesture, she bid Brianna come to her. Dutifully, the teenager walked across the ancient stone flooring to the corner of the large room. Sweeping the hair out of her face as she removed the hood. Quickly, she changed out of her pants and top, folding them as she removed them. Carefully, pulling the garment on over her head. Turning to face the ancient floor mirror, she watched as T’Pran then assisted with the ornate head-covering. Once the girl was properly outfitted, T’Pran sat in a chair in the corner of the room. Brianna’s emotions were more than palpable, to her dismay. Outright fear the strongest of them all. "If I fail," the girl began. "Thee hast demonstrated thy ability many times," T'Pran assured her. "Thee shalt not fail." Brianna chewed on her lower lip, her worries not so easily assuaged. Having been dubbed the Anomaly. Today would be the proof of that status. "But" she protested and was sharply cut off by a look from her governess as the Vulcan woman slowly blinked her eyes in warning. "Thee hast time in which to still thyself," T'Pran suggested evenly, holding her open hand out gesturing to the molten rock carving resting on a raised dais in the corner of the room. Incense billowed forth from it, inviting tranquility of mind. Dropping her gaze respectfully, Brianna nodded. "I beg forgiveness for my emotional display," the girl solemnly replied. She did not move until T'Pran left the small chamber, nor attend to her meditation right away preferring to gaze out of the high, tower window, momentarily losing herself in the activity in the courtyard below, seen now as the sun lazily rose. Vulcans, dressed in formal garb of ornately decorated headdresses signifying their individual Houses and long, flowing dark robes denoting their station, am-bled about the cracked, parched grounds forming small groups. Soon they would be lining up to begin the procession. Brianna felt her stomach twist itself into knots. In her nearly seventeen Earth years, she had never experienced excitement, nor anxiety, quite like this. Her telepathic powers alone were not requirement enough, she had come to realize; An even, controlled temperament, brought about through training, was essential. At the moment, however, Brianna certainly had her doubts about that, her mind swimming, drowning in a tide of emotion. Where was her control, just now? Strangely, she had been rather anxious all week, brushing it off as anticipation, yet it was more than mere nerves, she felt . . . Brianna drew in a deep, calming breath, attempting once again to gain control over herself. In this frenzied state it would only be too easy to give into the tumult inside of her, choking off the flow of her psychic signal, in turn rendering her quite blind, metaphysically speaking. She feared she would fail if she couldn't get herself back under control, bringing dishonor not only to herself and her family, but to T'Pran as well; such a failure lending itself to the notion she was merely mocking the ways of the Vulcan people, as some had purported. It was a thought she could not bear. Training in theVulcan Way for Brianna had been particularly grueling, a regular war of wills; hers against T'Pran's. The governess sought to harness the power of the child's mind, indeed her very soul, forcing Brianna to be more Vulcan in nature, at times, than the human she was. It had been an arduous task taking them both on a fifteen-and-a-half-year odyssey against a backdrop of mockery and bias. Brianna had proved to be incredibly human; stubborn, willful, impulsive. There were those, not a few of them Ruling House members, who contended a human could never achieve theDiscipline. Some even suggested T'Pran must be senile to consider it, and some who felt Outworlders should be kept apart from things Vulcan. These were known as purists, afraid all the contact with other planets and cultures would eventually strip Vulcan of its own culture, or at the very least dilute it beyond recognition, as if they hadn't fully accepted the tenants of IDIC. Despite these protests, and after more tears, ranting and anguish on Brianna’s part, the journey was at last at an end. T'Pran had slowly won out, teaching the girl at first to refrain from doing that which came so very easily to her and then how to control it. Today, fully schooled if not a bit anxious, Brianna Cantrell stood ready for the Test. The K'Matra, her Rite of Passage. It would be threefold in nature. First, she would be judged by how well she could shield her thoughts from others. Secondly, by her ability to mindmeld, being asked to form a mental-linking with another where they would literally become one mind able to feel each other's thoughts. The third test was shrouded in mystery, the conditions of which having been carefully shielded from her, set up covertly by the Vulcan Council of Elders. It was this test she feared the most, being judged in secret; not knowing what was expected of her. Author's Note: This is an adaptation from my published work, Night Whispers. I started the world legacy in 2019 because I had hard times to play legacy challenges without abandoning them after 3 or 4 generations. So I decided to bend the rules and mix them with rags to riches: What if each generation has to start over, from scratch in another world and use skills and systems implemented in the pack, in which the world comes from, to succeed in their lives? I'm now at my 18th Generation and it's still going. I have no real rules but I set goals for each generation so I could balance storyline and goal-oriented challenge. Current Family Tree: Generation 1 to 13 goals and backstories: Legacy Heirs: Update: gen 17 and 18 are added in the family tree, gen 17 storyline template added😊597Views5likes15Comments
