More Updates to past packs?
I've been thinking about stuff i would wish to see in past packs especially for packs that are worth far less than than their price. For example: A world for Seasons A single bed in EBN More infant BB/CAS/Gameplay in past packs aswell as more infant townies Same as above but for toddlers More business and club logos in B&H and GT Daycare career in Growing Together More pet stuff in C&D Update to Lifestyles More gameplay with ROM Familiars More gameplay with skeletons Off the grid options for BTD GT clubs These could be released gradually in SDX drops every few months along with base game ones. This would increase the sell rate of packs as they would seem more worth it and people would be happier with packs they already have. Could anyone reply with things they would like to see in past packs that wasn't been mentioned and I would love to see people's thoughts on this idea.42Views3likes3CommentsCould we please be able to assign a favorite chair for the seance table
I have one big chair which is meant for my fortune teller, but she keeps on picking one of the small chairs next to it when ever i use the table to communicate with the dead. I have tried to make her sit in that chair when ever i try to use it, but she keeps on getting up in order to sit in one of the smaller chairs instead.3Views0likes0CommentsI hate the ailments with a passion!
I was so excited for the Enchanted By Nature pack, because I love high fantasy and fae stories, but the ailments are just horrible and annoying and add absolutely nothing to game! Even when balance and such are turned off, these stupid, awful ailments keep showing up every hour! They absolutely ruined my Sims' wedding event when those horrible gnomes kept showing up and breaking things! Either get rid of them, or make them easier to cure for the love of everything decent!glamourchick203 hours agoNewcomer8Views0likes1CommentThe pufferfish ghost effect is Genius! However the rabbit and crow not so much
The pufferfish ghost effect is genius because what killed the pufferfish was the sim eating it, which in turn also killed the sim meaning that they are now bound to each other. However the same effect with a head of the rabbit or the crow appearing inside stomach of our sim makes very little sense considering that both the crow and the rabbit is still alive. The effect looks cool, but i think it could have been used for something else, like say maybe the crystal ball when they are trying to communicate with the dead. In turn i would have swap the effect for some dust clouds, claw marks and rabbit fur or crow feathers appearing around our ghost some as effects.Legoman011343 hours agoSeasoned Scout5Views0likes0CommentsTurning invisible should have been a ghost power
Turning invisible or rather turning visible should have been powers we got in the life and death pack for ghost sims. It would have made way more sense with the scare powers. It would also have been neat if they could show themself in mirrors while the sims were using them, in order to scare them, suddenly the sim looks behind them, but there is no one there.4Views0likes0CommentsMore cross-pack recipe ingredient substitutions
In Cottage Living, two of the "rare" treats - the Golden Treat and the Midnight Treat - require Cowberry Jam as an ingredient. Cowberry Jam is, obviously, crafted from Cowberries, making it something of a precious ingredient (since Cowberries can't be easily farmed, relative to other produce). However, if you also own Seasons, the Golden Treat recipe can utilize Honey from the beehive instead - a much easier to acquire ingredient, allowing the player to save their Cowberry Jam for Midnight Treats. I love this! It's cool! It encourages cross-pack play! And I like that if you have Eco Lifestyle, you can get wax to craft candles from both that pack's Soy plants and from the Seasons bee boxes. (Similar but not exactly the same thing - I love the special occult nectar recipes in Horse Ranch, that use plants from the occults' specific packs, and am sad there's not a new one for fairies; I also like how sheep and goats are an alternative means to get milk/wool if also have Cottage Living installed.) I... wish more pack-specific crafting systems did this? It would be cool if some RoM potions and EBN apothecary crafts could use "occult" ingredients from each other's packs and the Vampires and Werewolves game packs, the herbalism ingredients from Outdoor Retreat, the mushrooms and magical milk/eggs from Cottage Living, etc as alternatives. (I kind of find the RoM potions incorporating plasticky little MySims figurines to be kind of weirdly jarring, in particular, and wish I could use something that feels more mystical instead, like the Wolfsbane that was patched into the base game, the Death Frog from L&D, or the new metals and gemstones from Crystal Creations.) And it would be nice if there was a way for all of the Herbalism recipes to function outside of Granite Falls - the fact that the majority of the recipes require insects, which can only be found in a world you can't even live in, and that can't be "reproduced" outside of that world (unlike the herbs, or the fish via fish ponds), makes it feel "not worth it" to know and use most of the recipes. I'd love it if I actually had an excuse to make use of Fungal Infusion Fertilizer or Natural Herbicide Oil, but the former requires a Dust Spirit, which is rare and only shows up at night! You can't even breed more of them the way you can frogs! Why would I want to waste such a rare and precious collectible on fertilizer? ...also I think there should be a way to make "mighty plant milk" that actually comes from plants and not cows. Please?Malymin4 hours agoRising Novice6Views0likes0CommentsPutting whiskers in the Science lab for the science job
Would have been neat if there was some cross feature for whiskers if you placed him at the science lab at the science job, since he is a rat, and scientists uses lab rats to experiment on. However there is one problem with placing him at the science labs, and that is that no one will take care of him while you are not at work, he will also not be taken care of when you are on your days off.Legoman011346 hours agoSeasoned Scout6Views0likes0CommentsPlease Make Mystical and Disruptive Compatible with Macabre
Ever since I heard about the new Mystical Trait, I was so excited to use with my favourite trait Macabre. I just think for a dark fairy or dark spellcaster it be an great complimentary combo. But you "conflicting traits" blocked them... To me the affinity of and to the occults and the affinity of death is ideal for the darker occults and sims. Edit: just noticed Disruptive can't be Macabre either, like wut? Edit, edit: I decided to fix/tweak the tune files in the meantime. If you are interested (the mod is here) I saw no issues when initially testing, as it is just file tuning, but be aware as modding and CC may have adverse effects to your game, and I am just an amateur modder.255Views13likes9CommentsPottery
How come doing pottery can’t be assigned as an employee task? It would definitely make running my business a lot easier. I know customers can make it but if I want to sell, I have to make them myself and it takes forever. Would be nice if the employees could make pottery as well0966dd979b8642be8 hours agoSeasoned Newcomer7Views0likes0CommentsTransform into bat should not be used in the room they are already in
Watching my sim use transform into bat in order to move a few centimeter to the left is just annoying, and time wasting. If our spellcasters can have enough sense to only use brooms outside, So should our vampire have enough sense to not use transform into in the room they are already in.Legoman011348 hours agoSeasoned Scout9Views1like0CommentsUpdated Harvestable Models- Unique for each plant
The new harvestables in Enchanted by Nature are great. They are each unique, and gorgeously detailed. Look at the leaves on the aura bush and the flowers! Lightning Root has veins all over it, spooky spiraling branches, and leaves shaped like lightning bolts! And the mood bush is just plain pretty, with a spiraling effect flowing up its leaves. Meanwhile....this is a "grapevine". The textures are terrible, the colors are dark- and get this...it's not a vine. Here's a Soy Plant. The textures are terrible, the colors are dark, and there's an inexplicable sheen. Can you tell which of these is a Snapdragon and which is a Crocus? We really need to update all these plants so each one looks unique. Gardens are just big rows of blobs of leaves. Once the harvestables blossom onto the plants, you can barely tell which is which. They're so, so ugly. Tulips in real life are long stems growing out of the dirt in a cluster. Tulips in Sims 4 are a barely visible flower bud popping out of a pile of leaves. Bluebells in real life are long stems growing out of the dirt in a cluster. Bluebells in Sims 4 are a barely visible tower of flower buds popping out of a pile of leaves. Parsley, Basil, Sage- all uniquely shaped leaves, growing their own small bushes. Parsley, Basil, and Sage in sims 4? 3 identical ugly bushes that once a day have random parsley, basil, and sage leaves pop into existence on top of them. It just looks miserable and these new plants + cottage living plants make it clear we need an upgrade!Intern_Waffle_649 hours agoSeasoned Veteran25Views2likes1CommentBOLD & FRESH PACK IDEAS FOR THE SIMS 4 — THE EVOLUTION SIMMERS DREAM OF!
Hello EA/Maxis team and fellow Simmers! I'm a long-time fan of the franchise and wanted to share some creative ideas that could expand the emotional depth, lifestyle diversity, and overall excitement of The Sims 4. These pack suggestions are based on real-life trends, community wishes, and untapped potential within the game. Here are my ideas: GAME PACK: The Sims 4 – Urban Warriors. A martial arts pack including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Krav Maga, Taekwondo, and Kung Fu. Includes tournaments, belt progression, new Martial Arts skill, a semi-active career as Instructor, gear like punching bags and training dummies, and interactions such as "Challenge to Honor Duel", "Shadow Spar", and "Meditate for Calm". This pack adds discipline, competition, self-development, and cultural depth. EXPANSION: Advanced University Life. Learn new languages and customs, become a local guide or cultural expert, and gain a new “Cultural Awareness” skill. GAME PACK: Psychology & Emotions. Attend therapy sessions (solo, couple, or group), deal with emotions like trauma, emotional blockage, and healing, follow a career path as a Therapist, emotional history system that affects future Sim behavior, introduces deeper emotional gameplay. GAME PACK: Underworld & Corruption. Join or investigate criminal organizations, commit or stop blackmail, smuggling, hacking, moral alignment system (righteous or corrupt Sims), become a double agent or neighborhood influencer, bribe, manipulate, or expose others. GAME PACK: Spiritual Journey. Create fictional religions or spiritual paths, host or attend ceremonies, meditations, or pilgrimages, develop faith-based traits and aspirations, discover ancient wisdom or modern mindfulness, unlock unique rewards through belief systems. STUFF PACK: Alternative Fashion. Add goth, punk, steampunk, and urban streetwear, more piercings, bold makeup, and edgy hairstyles, new traits like “Rebel” or “Creative Expression”, poses and CAS animations to showcase style. STUFF PACK: Creator Studio. Become a YouTuber, musician, streamer, or digital artist, record, edit, and upload content using a new workstation, grow followers and earn income via sponsors and fans, career path: Content Creator, build fame without acting or singing. STUFF PACK: Small Businesses. Open a food truck, pet care store, flower shop, salon, or barbershop, customize store interiors and displays, set prices, hire employees, offer promotions, new objects: register, display counters, sidewalk signs. BONUS FEATURES: Zodiac sign system with personality and romantic compatibility, represent Sims with disabilities (wheelchairs, ramps, hearing aids), enhanced teen life: social media, peer pressure, drama, more realistic romantic systems: jealousy, open relationships, trust/mistrust mechanics. WHY THIS MATTERS: These ideas bring more emotional storytelling, cultural richness, and deeper gameplay to The Sims 4. Players are ready for new ways to connect with their Sims beyond surface-level activities. This is about meaningful simulation — with more challenge, identity, variety, and creativity. If you enjoyed any of these ideas, feel free to comment and support. This pack adds real-world martial arts to The Sims 4, allowing Sims to learn and master five fighting styles: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Krav Maga, Taekwondo, and Kung Fu. Each style has its own animations and personality. Sims can train using punching bags, wooden dummies, and spar with others. The new Martial Arts skill has 10 levels, unlocking advanced moves and greater mental focus. Sims can participate in tournaments with a ranking system based on belts, trophies, and fame. A new semi-active career allows Sims to become instructors, offering private or group lessons and managing their own dojo. Other features include emotional control through meditation, dueling, unique moves, and a new lot type: Martial Arts Center. Sims can develop traits such as Disciplined Warrior, Aggressive, or Calm, depending on their journey. This pack brings a new layer of gameplay with competition, discipline, cultural depth, and personal growth.10Views0likes0CommentsPeople wouldn't have to use bb.moveobjects if things was just scaled correctly
Everyone! uses the bb.moveobjects cheat because nothing is scaled correctly, Everything have a unnecessary massive hitboxes for no reason, well except the tiny globe that one fits on every surface. At this point the cheat should just be turned into a one click button available in the build mod.Legoman0113411 hours agoSeasoned Scout13Views1like0CommentsJust a few small suggestions
I have been playing since I was a teenager, original game, death by pool era. I've grown with Sims and I'm proud of how far Sims has come along. But I have a few small tweak recs. Pet Vet Clinic - we should be allowed to send employees home mid-shift. I want my sim to work round the clock, but my employees don't want that. I don't want that for them. Sometimes I just want to be the only one there. So having an option to end someone's shift, would be great. Vet patients - there should be a way to know who came in first. Vet Employees - Instead of having to ask them to craft, it should just be apart of their duties? Like cleaning & treating. Fairy Ailments - please give us an option to NOT have that in game. I am so tired of my sim vomiting. I am tired of spending 1500 to heal my sim, because that isn't apart of my storyline. Add an option for sims to not leave their neighborhood. Like fairies stay in Fairyland. Wolves stay away. Etc. Sometimes these occult sims aren't apart of the lore we are trying to build. Babies - dearest of all the lords - please fix the pick up/put down situation. It has taken me nearly a whole sims day just to take care of my babies. The parents continue to pick up / put down and nothing gets done. Like nothing!!! Except - my child gets taken away. Because my sims cant function. So please. WATER - Why is water & vomit underneath the counters & tubs? We have to move via build mode to clean it. That's seems like something easy to be fixed. Dog Walking - Please let us job/walk more than one at a time. Ok. That's all I can think of right now. Love ya, buh bye30Views2likes1CommentWe need a Half Autonomy option.
Today i saw someone's old post and thought it should come back as it was a good idea: (this was by LothiRose) Currently these are the only autonomy options we have in the game settings. Autonomy can either be set to Off, or to Full. With no inbetween. At Off, Sims stand around and do nothing, and will starve and pee themselves without the players input. At Full, they take care of their needs but will also run around aimlessly interacting with random objects. My suggestion: Half Autonomy (Reduced) With this Autonomy setting, Sims will only act Autonomously to fulfill their essential needs (showering, eating, sleeping) and only when these needs are either in the yellow or red. They won't run off to do anything else, making them easier to control for the player while still being able to sufficiently take care of their own basic needs.ffo4z9zhpfzt19 hours agoNewcomer13Views1like0CommentsAilment impressions
I never contacted an ailment in Innisgreen. I tried very hard to get one but couldn't. I started a total of 6 or 7 new games since the pack's release. I started a new game in the werewolf world and the next morning I got an ailment. This was after a lot of bad luck and failing to craft a statue at zero handiness skill. Which my sim couldn't craft a non broken horse statue until skill level 3. So my experience was zero ailments in Innisgreen and one in the werewolf world on the 30X30 lot. I was very happy to get the ailment and by level 2 apothecary skill I was able to cure it. I got to skill level 2 by making two cures using the apothecary table on a standard resident lot. No extra skill gains from a tiny lot or making my sim focused. I bought ten each of ingredients from the apothecary table and I didn't need to buy that many to gain the apothecary level 2 skill. I had got the emotion void aliment. So please give the option in game to turn off the ailments because I want to keep them on. It was a refreshing experience to finally deal with an ailment because the last time my sim got sick in the game was over 6 months ago in real life. I waited 6 months to experience an illness in the game, please don't take away my sim getting sick in a patch that decreases the chance of catching an ailment. I don't play with mods, or CC, or play with the fast speed constantly on.DragonAge_30090523 hours agoSeasoned Ace21Views0likes1Comment
