Functional counters and cabinets.
Please make the counters and cabinets functionally similar to storage boxes. And also make them link to the refrigerator so that when you need to use your ingredients, they will be available. That way you can store groceries in them. Without any major overhauls (hopefully), here are some suggestions to tweak EnB, as well as EnB with other packs. I don't think these are asking too much, they are probably even possible for modders to make. EbN Suggestions: Select Sim to choose "Sleep Preference" (similar to utensil preference), so Sims with Natural Living Skill can choose to "always sleep on ground" or sleep on ground when there is nowhere else to sleep. If emotions are absorbed by a friend (or higher) no relationship loss. "Harvest All" works with Aura Blossom, Lightning Root (if possible) and Moody Shrub. "Forage for Apothecary Ingredients" should not contain non-Apothecary Ingredients (I keep getting apples) Remove "computer required" daily tasks from this career, we are in a Natural Living EP, having a computer on lot defeats the purpose.... Other Cross-Pack Suggestions with EnB: Cauldrons or Apothecary Table can both craft/brew Potions/Cures (Realm of Magic) Apothecary Table can also hold Alchemy Ingredients (Realm of Magic) Apothecary Table can both craft/brew Remedies/Cures (Outdoor Retreat) Apothecary Table can also hold Herbalism Ingredients (Outdoor Retreat) Copypasto works on Apothecary ingredients/cures (Realm of Magic) New Lifestyles to better reflect magical (or occults), crafting and/or fable completing lifestyles (Snowy Escape) Moonstone effects Fairies respectively (Crystal Creations) Fairy specific Nectary, also mentioned here by another Simmer (Horse Ranch) Insects added to World, well all worlds preferably (Outdoor Retreat) Feel free to add your suggestions as well.46Views2likes0CommentsI'm a be honest
I really would like a season camp EP think summer camp for Sims kids and tweens if/ when we get them however as the title states I'm a be honest I don't want the team that did EBN, HR, FR, HSY, LS and MWS I know they mean well and want to give simmers want they would like but facts are facts they be making buggy and limited packs and paying 40 dollars.... then we didn't get a livestream for gameplay made me nervous. The last time The Sims 4 got an upgrade to its Python implementation was in 2018 with version 1.47.49.1020 when it received a Python upgrade to version 3.7 from 3.3.5. Since then, we have gotten 6 major new versions of Python, technically 7 when Python 3.14 releases later this year. The developers of Python have added a lot of significant performance optimizations with these 7 versions, along with new and significant programming features that make programming in Python way easier. As The Sims 4 is likely going to stick around for the forseeable future, it would be nice if mod authors were empowered with a modern Python version that will allow them to make better and more powerful mods. And as The Sims 4 itself uses Python for a lot of its systems, the game would also benefit from being updated to a modern Python version, not to mention that Python 3.7 has been deemed end of life since June 2023. Bringing the Sims 4's Python version up-to-date would also bring the aforementioned significant performance optimizations to The Sims 4, which would align with The Sims Team's renewed focus on improving game performance. The biggest performance improvement that can be made, is running the game's Python scripts on a modern Python version. Frankly, I don't understand why Fairies randomly show up at homes uninvited in the first place. Why is that even a thing? Vampires, I get. They're looking to drink Sims blood. What would Fairies be going door-to-door for? Ailments are out of control even when I have all the options in the settings off. We really need an option to actually turn them COMPLETELY OFF please! Is ruining all my saves all my sims keep getting sick all the time non stop. I haven't been able to properly play and enjoy the game because of this. Please please give us an option to completely turn it off! I just wanna play sims 4 and have fun and this has really been a nightmare. Or rather, my sims would. Just a little common courtesy would be nice for when my Sims receive gifts, deliveries, or compliments. There are so many ways to be rude, mean, or cruel in this game, can we at least get a simple, "thank you" option as a response to receiving gifts? Bonus if it were coded to actually impact the game, but I would settle for just knowing not all my sims are ungrateful brats. Everyone knows that Get Famous had lots of lost opportunities but they subtly tried to bring the social media fame side to the game with livestreams and Simstagram, even if its really shallow. And after seeing social media apps like Social Bunny, Trendi and Cupid's Corner, it made me feel like we really lost something bigger with Simstagram in Get Famous. But given that Simstagram is a base game feature why not update it? My suggestion is: • Create a Simstagram app for phones. Imagining that it would need limitations like the other apps it could work as our own public gallery, so we could only see our own profile and see the interactions from other sims in it (like Social Bunny). Some gameplay ideas: - Post photos, earn likes and comments (+fame); - Receive messages (the calls for invitation, advice, congratulations, etc. would turn into messages that we can answer later); - Post stories about: Review, advertising, dance/makeup challenge, diss/compliment someone (influencing their reputation and our relationship with its person) (+fame).12Views0likes0CommentsStuff on my mind
So I never grew up with the sims 4,3,2 or 1. I saw the sims 4 and loved it and that’s the only game I play. And does anyone else like the sims 4? With how capable to fairy Sims can shrink down and the classic pedestal style-bird bath is base game. I see potential to make that bird bath and alikes of such things be more functional because of the playful fairies. Thank you for new Alien bassinet. I feel it was my idea, at least the one of who posted about it. I don't know anyone else or seen any suggestion such thing besides me. Regardless, thank you! I checked Google to research a little before bothering with this. About what else I noticed missing. That there is no craftable bassinet. There's similar crafty styles from three packs such as for the fairies, spell casters, werewolves, and the new base game bassinet is a bit crafty. Nothing closer to matching the style to the mega dining set kind of stuff. It would be nice to have two craftable bassinets where one could be similar to the alien bassinet in wood like a barrel and there could be another piece of the mega wooden set. Excuse me, I don't know what that set be called overall, but kind of bulky furniture that is across base game for kid furniture, beds, and the two versions of the same thing of such said generically named dining set. Optionally, additionally would be nice to be able to craft that single mission set to furnish a house out right from the craft table more thoroughly.7Views0likes0CommentsBusiness & Hobbies - Selling Surfaces
Why are so few surfaces usable for selling items on? I see no reason that at least 90% of surfaces shouldn't be able to be enabled to sell from - most shouldn't by default as that could get annoying, but they should at least have the option. Console & coffee tables in particular are great for if you want a more old timey feel for your shop where the modern/industrial tables which are available simply don't suit the vibe. With the new Apothecary skill, which imo should've just been combined with the herbalism skill, I decided to make an Apothecary shop, but the selling surfaces just don't fit in which is really annoying.9Views0likes0CommentsAllow us to place walls on half tiles
This one has been on my mind for quite a while, and I honestly cannot see a reason as to why it wouldn’t be possible on a technical standpoint. Sims can walk on half tiles; objects can be placed on half tiles and still be functional. You can place a double bed in a 3x3 room, and it will be fully functional. The quick and gritty approach would be to simply make another wall tool, like half walls, that behaves like a wall. For convenience’s sake, disallow foundations to be half tiles… While I would love it, it may cause issues. With that out of the way, this simple change would change the depth and detailing of buildings. You could finally have a medieval-ish overhang that doesn’t seem ‘too big’ because it’s one tile wide. You could make your own pillars/columns and allow them to be centred. You could have a 1 and a half tile wide hallway, which is needed in smaller homes as two is too big and 1 is too small. Doors and windows may be an issue, but simply disallow them on a single half tile; instead, they must go on at least a 1x1 tile. It’d allow for nicer nooks but not need new windows and doors. Roofing is simple: add a half tile roof that is the same as others. There are no auto roofs, so it won’t cause issues. https://i.vgy.me/N328eU.png It's a picture of a floor plan with this in mind. Obviously, this was done in five minutes, but it highlights the potential for mostly exterior, but the interior has insane potential. Even the purpose for furniture, such as half tile wide cabinets and counters. It would be massive for Tiny Living (which also needs a complete revamp). When City Living released it came with a selection of headwraps for Adult and Child Sims. All of the fabric swatches use the same dark brown hair colour no matter what the Sims' actual hair colour is. This makes their use very limiting. While this can technically be classed as 'by design' as it is how things functioned at the time of their creation, it no longer falls in line with later CAS assets of a similar design that have since been added in later packs. I'm very surprised nobody ever went back to update them. Growing Together introduced the Babushka head scarf which allows the selection of hair colour independant of scarf swatch and there have been other examples of this released since. I created default replacements for these assets in 2023 so I know that it is technically possible to update them to work with the current system the game uses. I feel like this would solve so many problems and would also further help to give our sims personality. If traits and dislikes can't stop them from automatically doing things they hate, this seems to be the answer to that, and a lot more. Computer use certainly needs some options for this. I know you can lock sims out of computers but any sim with access to a computer seems to always want to troll the forums. I want to be able to disable that, and also be able to enable them to practice programming or writing on their own. With most skills I would want the option for sims to be able to train it by themselves, at least in the ways that won't force a pop up for you to make a decision, like using the wood working table. Should also be possible to have a sim repair broken stuff on their own. With food, it could be possible to set preferred meals. You could leave it at random, but could also give them a few go to meals that they will make on their own. Like if making breakfast, a sim could always make pancakes. But you could also set them to only ever make simple meals. Especially all the objects sims are obsessed with should take priority to have in these autonomy settings, so we can put a stop to that. My sims never get a radio outside of their own private room only they can enter because otherwise the whole household is constantly dancing to it. I was doing a challenge where I had to play with a random sim off the gallery, she was a werewolf with a bigger body. And while playing, I didn't realize she was pregnant so when she transformed into the werewolf the stomach looked so stupid and long. Reason for this post: 1. saved characters in library lose all friendships and family-levels 2. The "Nature Is Calling" Patch introduced horrible "pitch black" bug and ruined all the save files! 3. restore unrecoverable, lost all painted pets textures 4. swapping/replacing the affected families with saved families in library 1. if you save Sim characters to your library and then put them back into the game, ALL friendships are lost and also the family relationship level to each other. This should be changed urgently! 2. The "Nature Is Calling" Patch ruined all the save files for Simmers with customized pets in it. with the last "Nature Is Calling" patch, all of our Sims that had either painted tattoos (feature came with Business & Hobbies) or animals and werewolves that had custom fur, created with the in CAS paint tool, were lost and all affected characters appeared pitch black after said patch. It was not possible for the developers to restore already lost textures. Sims that had painted tattoos could be "repaired" by removing the painted tattoos, BUT with animals it was not so easy and to remove the custom, painted texture NO solution. If you removed the painted texture by clicking on the X, they were no longer black but then appeared in standard status and of course Simmers who havecustomized pets/fur did not want that., incl. me. It was a lot of effort and work to edit your animals with the CAS paint tool. I'm sure everyone who loves animals has families WITH pets and more, maybe not all customized with the paint tool, but for most. Lots of Simmers created their RL pets with the CAS Paint Tool as good as they could. Some of us even contacted the Creator "pugowned" who has the astonishing talent to create very realistic pets, simply WITH THE CAS PAINT-TOOL, to have her create our in RL beloved and deceased pets. It was a punch in the face for me to see my beloved pets appear pitch black now after said patch and to read that the lost textures can not be restored. The "hotfix" patch did NOT change that because already lost textures created by the "Nature Is Calling" patch could not be restored, as stated by EA_Cade, the latest "hotfix" patch was not retroactive and the customized textures on pets/horses/werewolves already impacted will stay that way. Their painted textures are forever lost and cannot be fixed. So all our current save files are ruined because of this Nature patch and we were now left on our own to "fix" the issue. - Yes, in every game bugs can accure, but I'm sure that IF this patch were really play-tested BEFORE the rollout, something like this wouldn't have happened. I mean, how can a patch ruin ALL our save files and not being able to fix it and act like "oh well, sorry guys, already lost textures, caused by our "Nature Is Calling" patch, can not be restored" - unbelievable! 3. to get around all the loss of unrecoverable textures, you can try to swap your BACKUP save files that were made BEFORE the big "Nature Is Calling" patch with the current destroyed save files and the pets will appear normal again. - I have done this with success! My pets appear "normal" again, BUT I'm done playing this game for now, just in case... Of course, if you didn't have a backup BEFORE the patch, you are left out in the cold because the suggested attempts to restore an older save file are unsuccessful, as ALL save files in the game are and were affected by this disastrous destruction. In my case, the only thing that helped was replacing the current game files with my 2-month-old backup. Although the game and progress of Sims were lost, but the animals appeared normal again, which was more important to me personally. Yeah sure, some can live with the texture loss of their pets but some of us don't want to accept it so easily and just keep quiet. We have the right to express our displeasure over this because, after all, we paid a lot of money for a game we love. 4. there was also the option given of swapping/replacing the families saved in your own library with the current ones, that is IF they didn't already appear there in "pitch black", which brings me back to topic 1. Even if you were lucky to replace a Sim or pet, all relationships would still be lost and you would have to recreate them MANUALLY. This is NOT a good solution and is also very time-consuming. So you are better off, replacing your save files with a backup and not loosing ALL relationships. Final: Since this said patch has destroyed all our current save files, I think something urgently needs to be done about the way our sim characters get saved into our libraries. If the developers are no longer able to correct their own fatal mistakes and just leave it to the player to deal with the "rescue" on our own, then they should at least change the way our families get saved and unharmed into the library so that when families need to be replaced, to NOT also lose all their connections. Something I have been dying for and think it would be a great addition for CAS, would be allowing for us to copy body dimensions/features from one sim to another...like copy and paste it sort of, basically the same premise as the copy clothing and makeup feature but with bodies and it's from one sim to another ..there have been many times where I've created a few sims and have done something better on one than the other, wishing I could replicate but with sliders it can be difficult.
