Cant play my sims1 on my new system
hay guys Just got a bran new system and was in the process of putting all my sims games and stuff to the new one , got all my others working finally but still cant the sims1 and its packs to work on the new system. It all was working fine and still is on the old system which is windows 10 btw and the new one is windows 11,also have mods on them and is still working in 10 but wont in 11 even just the base game, freshly installed, no mods or cc install and cant get it to load pass the neighborhood screen ,when u click anywhere on that screen the game freezes and will crash have to close game without saving to get back to ea app. Have att. the dxdiag. file. any suggestions' what to do or try next to get the game working on the new system 11? The Sims 1 Legacy not launching at all
Hello, i tried several ways to fix the issue. i start the game, the EA launcher tells me it is preparing everything and after the EA window is gone nothing happens. I already tried: ininstalling all Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables and installed the latest. starting the game in compability mode for win xp starting the game as admin changing my GPU from my 5080 to the oboard amd one I created a report with ID d66421b8-92ef-4bf1-a8e1-42974b4fd4e3 also added to this ticket is my dxdiag. thanks a lot for helping in advance!Solvedm0u13371 month agoRising Novice79Views0likes2Comments
how to completely factory reset the sims 1 legacy collection?
Hello everyone, I recently bought the Sims 1 Legacy Collection so it would be compatible with modern PCs. I made a mistake and wanted to start the game over, but despite uninstalling and reinstalling the game, I still have neighborhoods without houses. I tried the backup files and nothing, I tried deleting the various game folders both where I installed it and in the folders programData/EADescktop/InstallData Where is the game folder located? Either by deleting the Sims link in the Origin folder. I also tried searching in AppData, but I couldn't find any entries for the game or in the Documents. I'm wondering if anyone can help me reinstall the game as if it were new so I can have everything back by default. 23 Wright Way is Bugged (Sims Hot Date lot)
If you tried to build anything on the lot addressed as 23 Wright Way, you cannot take your sims there with the cab. If you try to take your sims downtown and select that lot, it gets stuck on the loading screen and freezes. Please fix this. Side Scrolling Not Working in Sims Legacy
Dear EA/all, I've just downloaded The Sims Legacy for the second time and to my delight, the UI scaling issue has been fixed!! However, as soon as I started to play, I noticed that I can't scroll from side to side with my cursor whenever I'm on a lot - whether it's empty or occupied. Strangely I can move up and down, but not left to right. So the only way to view something either side of my current screen is to zoom out. Has anyone else experienced this bug? Serious bug after latest update - can't scroll right (so I cannot play)
After this update I cannot scroll right AT ALL. So I can't play the game at all. Please fix it. I'm using Macbook with Windows installed. Everything was ok until yesterday. Today initially I had an issue with the resolution in the game, it was super small with black areas on right and left. Then I changed my computer's resolution and now there aren't any black areas but I cannot move to the right at all in the game. Please fix it as soon as possible. I still cannot go fullscreen
At launch, I could go fullscreen but not windowed (it kept switching back). But after the feb. 12 update (i think), its reversed. I cannot go fullscreen because I keep switching back to windowed. Custom sim skin doesn't work, my sim is invisible
So I had a self-made Costum Sim that looks like Herman Monster. Somehow the immigration from the old game data to new Game folder didn't go as planned and he's almost invisible. You only can se shades where he walks. I remember I had already the issue when I installed the complete collection back then. I somehow managed to recreate him but I don't remember how. In the Sims creator his skin is showed normally. But when I try to rebuild him as a new sim I can't find the skin and there seem to be loads of corrupted skins. laptop completely freezes after turning on the sims 1
Hello everyone. if somebody has problem like me? When I open The Sims 1 Legacy my laptop is completely freezing and I can’t nothing open. A window appears regarding loading the Star add-on informing about the arriving stars but that's it. It doesn't even load and everything is blocked. Sims 1 legacy edition- Why does it do this? Not rendering anything
I can make a sim fine but when I move in the house isn’t there I hover my mouse and objects appear but disappear after. I’ve tried doing what ea support have suggested like clearing cache and what others have suggested such as downloading new graphics driver. Laptop Windows 10 Intel i5 2.4 GHz NVIDIA 1050i Steam The Sims Legacy standalone Was just playing Sims Legacy yesterday and I have 19 total hours of playtime on it. It loaded-up just fine and ran very well - zero serious issues. Now, today, it won't load-up at all - the cursor shows a blip of the "Loading" eggtimer, but then it stops. Ran File Verification - 1 file needed to be replaced. Attempted to load the game again - same issue. Uninstalled and re-installed - same issue. Edit: Uninstalled and re-installed the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 - 2022 Redistributable (x64) and (x86) then restarted my PC - same issue. Usually in windowed mode, you can ALT-Tab to bring up another window. However, the Sims 1, even with the "-w" command line option, will minimize and the audio will shut off when you try to switch applications or open up another window. This happens even if you turn on the in-game option to "Sim in Background" And yes, you also can't run in background during full screen mode.Solved304Views3likes8Comments
TS1L Vulkan?
Absolutely no hate to the amazing help on this forum!! Thankful for you guys. But I have questions, as I find it quite odd how we have been posting here for 3 weeks begging for the Vulkan error to be fixed.. threads on threads of asking for dxdiag’s and ‘Vulkan info’ and consumers riding on hope that it will get fixed so we all can play it. No mention that we will not be compatible with our systems, just that it’s being worked on or radio silence until the next patch arrived. Then suddenly after the 2/20 patch - the majority of us still having issues come to the forum once again - and all of a sudden we are informed we don’t meet minimum specs because our computers don’t support Vulkan, and we will not be able to play TS1L on our specific systems due to it. Why were we not told this 2 days after the release so we were all ‘eligible for refunds’? Rather than keeping us all hooked that possibly it’s going to work after 3 patches and 20 days (coincidentally past the refund time frame)? What is EA going to do about resolution with those of us that can’t play it and aren't ‘eligible’ for refunds, but Vulkan was never originally apart of the required specs upon the day of the release? Like I said, absolutely no hate to the EA folks on here actually helping folks! I have downloaded patch after patch and still have not gotten anywhere with this game. It still crashes during the sims logo loading screen through the EA app. I have included my dxdiag twice and don't have vulkan on my pc, please help get this fixed or I want a refund as I have not played since I bought the legacy pack on release day and am beyond frustrated I can't play this game.
