Dead Space 2 / You Don't Own This Game
I tried to submit a ticket but that's been deliberately made very difficult. The EA app does recognize that I have the relevant CD key activated for Dead Space 2, but in terms of downloading it and installing it it's just kicking out with 'we've canceled the download because you don't own this game'. Even though the library has it, the key is tied to it, etc. What's my next step?
[EA App] Dead Space 3 "Activate Your Game"
I can no longer play Dead Space 3. Every time I open the game, the activate your game page pops up. When I try signing in with my email and password, it tells me "incorrect email/password." However, when I put in my username and password, another popup shows up that "We can't activate the game on this computer". The "enter product key" button doesn't function. Things I've already tried: Clearing EA App cache Uninstalling and reinstalling the game Deleting files in the license folder inside Program Data Deleting all Files in the Temp folder in appdata using CCleaner to delete old registries and restarting my computer I just want to play this game again, please help.Dead Space 2 crash after account activation pop up
After reinstalling the game I’ve had for over a decade, it launches an annoying activation screen, where I enter the correct information only to be thrown back into the EA app. By the way, I’ve tried nearly every community-driven fix, including markerpatch and various workaround solutions.
Unable to access Dead Space 3 Awakened DLC
Hi, I have purchased a hard copy of DS3 through Amazon, I installed the game and I have played through with no issues. I recently bought the Awakened DLC on Origin, I downloaded it and installed it and I got an unlock confirmation message in the game, my problem is that I can see the DLC listed in the game, but I only get the option to download it (which I've already done), anyway, if I click on download I get an information page with no download button, so I'm unable to start the DLC. Hello EA Support, I'm contacting you regarding Dead Space 3 on Steam. Since an update released in 2024, several Steam achievements appear to have become unobtainable. As a result, it is currently impossible for players to complete the game 100%. The achievements affected are: - Aren't You Thankful? - Supercharger - Survivalist - Pure Lunacy Could you please investigate this issue? If restoring the required functionality is no longer possible, I would appreciate it if these achievements could be updated or removed from the Steam achievement list so that completion remains achievable. Thank you for your time and consideration. I hope this issue can be addressed for the remaining Dead Space 3 community.
Dead Space 2 CE online pass codes
Do unused Collector’s Edition codes for Dead Space 2 redeem in 2023? There is no expiration date listed on the voucher. I’m trying to get the Zealot Suit that was attached to the CE online pass. The problem is that PSN doesn’t tell me WHY the code is “invalid”. It just brings me to a confirmation screen detailing the CE content I’m about to redeem. I hit “confirm”, and it loads. I then get a screen telling me that the code is invalid and to check my entries. I am on PS3. I cannot find confirmation anywhere online and tech support here simply told me they don’t validate codes on console, which was not even my question. Fair enough, but what I’m after specifically is if ANY of these codes are still valid in 2023, or if they are actually expired due to age (the voucher does NOT list an expiration, but I realize this game is 12 years old). The last confirmed redemption I could find on Google was dated a few years back before the game turned 10 years old. So is the voucher I hunted down used, or are they all invalid today due to an unlisted and unannounced expiration? If so, kinda sucks that EA made this Zealot suit permanently exclusive. I’ve purchased two reasonably priced Collectors Editions and both vouchers were rejected. Before I waste anymore money trying to find a valid code, I need to know if they are even accepted anymore. As of now, I’m kind of just risking that if it’s unredeemed, it’ll take. Be nice to have official confirmation.Dead Space 3 (PC): false VM detection on Surface — VBS can't be disabled
Dead Space 3 (Steam, PC) refuses to launch on my machine with this error: "We're sorry, an error has occurred — This game will not run in a virtual environment. Please use your main Windows environment to play." The machine is physical hardware, not a virtual machine. System: - Microsoft Surface Laptop 4 (Secured-core PC) - Intel Core i7-1185G7 - Windows 11 Pro, build 10.0.26200.9457 - UEFI 33.108.143 - Windows Defender only, no third-party security software - No virtualization software installed The check appears to trigger on the mere presence of the Windows hypervisor, which Windows 11 runs by default for VBS (virtualization-based security). I tried every documented way to shut it down: - Disabled Core Isolation / Memory Integrity (confirmed HVCI stopped) - bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off - bcdedit /set vsmlaunchtype off - bcdedit /set {current} loadoptions DISABLE-LSA-ISO,DISABLE-VBS - Registry: EnableVirtualizationBasedSecurity = 0, Secure Launch (SystemGuard) = 0 - Verified Hyper-V, Virtual Machine Platform, Windows Hypervisor Platform, WSL, Windows Sandbox and Containers are all disabled After rebooting, HyperVisorPresent is still True and hvservice.sys is still running. Per Microsoft's own support answer on an identical Surface Pro case, Surface devices enable virtualization at the firmware level to support security features such as Memory Integrity, and this cannot be fully disabled by the user. Surface UEFI has no virtualization toggle at all. So there is no action available to me that makes this game launch. Could the detection be changed to identify an actual virtual machine rather than the presence of a hypervisor? VBS is enabled by default on Windows 11, and on Secured-core PCs it cannot be turned off — I expect more reports like this over time. Happy to provide an msinfo32 report if that helps.
Dead Space Remake BSOD
I've been having a recurring issue with Dead Space Remake where it eventually BSODs my entire PC. It only seems to happen with Dead Space and usually after playing for around 40 minutes. There's no specific area or action that seems to trigger it.. I can just leave Isaac standing in a room and after 40 min or so I'll come back to the PC crashed. I've tried a bunch of the the things others say to try already: updating NVIDIA drivers, clearing shader caches, disabling HDR, capping FPS at 60, verifying the game files, reinstall the game, and changing graphics settings. I've gotten two different BSODs: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (0x3B) and IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.
Dead Space 3 Origin/Steam Grey screen crash
Hey, i've been struggling to get Dead Space 3 to work on PC lately. It used to work for years on the exact same computer. any time there's a quick time event the game gets a gray screen then crashes a few seconds later. Both steam and Origin versions have same problem.
