Out of touch with the gaming community
After a month of waiting TA releases the worst version of the game they have. Last time I played Forgotten attacks with morale I left it. It sucked that bad. Games are suppose to be fun not work. TA has really destroyed this community with greed trying to suck out every penny from the last of the loyal player's. Why don't you idiots trying playing your product and see how enjoyable you have made it. I would like to bring up 2 very important issues. 1 . PvP : It would be FANTASTIC , IF , the "law of diminishing returns " is applied to the game , after all these years of playing . Functionality should be simple and straight forward : I hit u ONCE, i get 100 % of your resources. . Twice within X time period (f.ex. 10 days after the first hit) , and i get 50 %. THREE times, well.. i get NOTHING - that's the breaks folks .. - + I GET A 6 HOUR PENALTY on move recovery and / or attack recovery. 2. The "Control Freak " Syndrome.. Case of fact : An alliance destroys the FF. Then , instead of moving OUT and (to a galaxy :) ) FAR FAR away so as to let the rest of the thousands of players (who INVEST funds) get the POIs, take their turn for the FF or fight each other for dominance on who goes next etc etc etc - that's the beauty of the game anyway - this Winning Alliance, stays at the center, sits fairly on the POIs, and DICTATES who goes next , who comes and who goes, intimidating and of course power gaming with the rest of the alliances and even destroying some. Solution.. THIS will in my opinion BOOST the game immensely AND correct a great injustice to all the fans of C&C TA.. a. Alliance XYZ destroys the FF b. Along with the congratulations message "Well done Commander ETC ETC." , new text is added : "Please note your Alliance must now relocate at least 200 squares away from the FF to allow for the oncoming Alliances to set-up & attack the FF. Alternatively , you will AUTOMATICALLY be RE-LOCATED 200 +1 boxes away, RANDOMLY, within the next 3 days. You will not be allowed to approach the FF within less than 150 boxes distance, for the next 30 days AFTER Re-location.". So , the new rule implemented would be : Destroy the FF --> relocate 200 squares away (one way or the other) -- > Stay put at a distance > 150 boxes for 30 days for the NEW STATUS QUO to be formed. Few years ago I ordered on Origin full CnC pack..Including new upcoming CnC... After he is canceled EA did not return money... So I payed 70 euro for pack of games worth like 20 at best... En français Bonjour à tous Je viens de me mettre sur le nouveau serveur Europe. Hors, je viens de découvrir l'option attaque par le serveur et non par des joueurs. Pourquoi pas... Après tout c'est une bonne manière de connaitre la valeur de ces défenses, mais voilà se faire attaquer une fois par jour pourquoi pas, deux fois ok mais trois fois puis quatre puis cinq puis six fois et plus par jour, j'appelle cela n'importe quoi ! C'est honteux seuls les joueurs qui mettent 50€ par semaine et qui achètent point de réparations, point de commandement plus bonus en tout genre pourront y arriver... En fait ce jeu devient de plus en plus un jeu de voleur, dire qu'au début il n'y en avait pas et qu'aujourd'hui vous nous proposer ça c'est n'importe quoi !!!!! Personnellement je finis mes 5€ d'investissements sur ce serveur et à la fin des trente jours j'arrêterais définitivement ce serveur, je retournerais sur le monde 9 et 15 et je jouerais mes 12H de réparation et 100 points d'attaque. je ne metterais plus un rond sur votre jeu et au final c'est vous avec vos conneries qui aller perdre vos joueurs et non le contraire. After all it is a good way of knowing the value of these defenses, but here is to be attacked once a day why not, twice ok but three times then four then five and then six times and more per day, I call this whatever ! It is shameful only players who put 50 € per week and who buy point of repairs, point of command plus bonuses of any kind will be able to arrive there ... In fact this game becomes more and more a game of thief, to say that at the beginning there were none and that today you propose to us it is anything !!!!! Personally I finish my 5 € investments on this server and at the end of the thirty days I would definitely stop this server, I would go back to the world 9 and 15 and I would play my 12H repair and 100 attack points. I would not put a round on your game and in the end it is you with your crap that will lose your players and not the opposite. I do not greet you! German Hallo an alle Ich habe mich einfach auf den neuen europäischen Server. Oben, entdeckte ich nur die Option Angriff durch den Server und nicht von den Spielern. Warum nicht ... Schließlich ist es ein guter Weg, um den Wert dieser Verteidigung zu wissen, aber das wird einmal täglich angegriffen warum nicht zweimal, sondern dreimal ok dann vier, dann fünf, dann sechs Mal am Tag, ich nenne es nichts! Shame nur Spieler, die 50 € pro Woche und Kauf Punkt Reparaturen setzen, plus Bonus Befehlsstelle jeglicher Art werden ... In der Tat wird immer dieses Spiel mehr und mehr ein Dieb Spiel, dass es am Anfang war nicht und bieten wir Sie jetzt, das ist alles !!!!! Persönlich habe ich meine 5 € Investition auf diesem Server und enden die 30 Tage würde ich auf jeden Fall diesen Server stoppen, würde ich wieder auf die 9 und 15 Welt und ich würde meine Reparatur 12H und 100 Angriffspunkte spielen. Ich habe nicht eine Runde auf dem Spiel, und am Ende metterais ist es Ihnen, mit Ihrem Bullshit geht Ihre Spieler verlieren und nicht das Gegenteil. When alliances and players beat the fortress on any given world, they should not be allowed to continue to dominate the center of the maps. It does not provide fair game play. This could be addressed in several different ways, however, the best way would be if the players wish to continue after total victory, they must start out as new players with one base. Does anyone find the current pvp scene where people lock down their bases with attacks from alt accounts, and those bases with more alt accounts, to be fun? The 'too many redirects' error in Chrome & Firefox seems to affect many non-US players. My workaround is to add: ?langPreferred=en_US to the end of the url for each world. As an additional route in I also use: https://gamecdnorigin.alliances.commandandconquer.com/WebWorldBrowser/index.aspx?langPreferred=en_US If you're logged in already that will take you to the page to choose your worlds and a button to start a new world.3.8KViews1like9CommentsUpdate on the situation of the Login Problems
Hello Community, as many of you have experienced, the current login functionality is not working as intended. There are several issues players are facing when trying to access the game. I'd like to clarify a few things here with this thread after replying to threads individually and seeing a few points being brought up repeatedly. If this is coming at a late point I apologize. So far, I have mostly responded to threads directly, as we were deploying changes directly to the backend of things, hoping to see improvements. With the ongoing issues I feel it’s appropriate to dedicate a response to some of the most frequently raised points now. The current state of things is not as dire as they might appear. The game is not dying, and EA has no intention of closing the game anytime soon. The recent transition to the new Single Sign-On Login did not go as smooth as we had hoped however. The deployment of the new procedure had to be performed ahead of the agreed upon schedule for certain reasons I won't detail here. The result of this is the situation we are facing now. Regardless of that, there is no use in pointing fingers and shifting blame. We can assure you, we are as frustrated with the situation as the players are and we too would like to spend the time working on improving the game and developing new content instead. However, we are also aware that we must resolve the issue first before we can move on. Currently, we are working on another Patch that we deployed to Public Test Environment today, 22nd May 2018, so that we can include it into tomorrows scheduled update for the first set of worlds. The details of that patch can be viewed here. The features of this update have been in the works before the issues with the Login emerged and development was already underway. These changes are already deployed to the Public Test Environment where they are being tested. We are moving forward with this patch despite the ongoing troubles with logins simply because there can only work so many hands on resolving these issues with logins and redirects at the same time, so it makes no sense to hold back updates for other aspects of the game that are unrelated to the login issue. This patch also gives us the opportunity to deploy changes related to the login problems directly onto the selected worlds, which is also needed to properly resolve the ongoing struggle with logins. A lot of you have asked for a rollback to the previous system that was in place for logins. Unfortunately, this is not a possibility for us. Command & Conquer: Tiberium Alliances is not a stand-alone service but integrated into the entire EA Origin infrastructure. As previously stated, the Single Sign-On Login deployed in April was a system wide step forward by EA's web development team towards streamlining their service and improving security. What that means is that a rollback would also mean a system wide rollback, and that is simply not feasible. In the light of the new SSO Login there have been repeatedly asked questions about Multi-Accounting, specifically login into the game with several accounts at the same time from the same browser session. I would like to state that the topic of multi accounting is a gray area in regards of the TOS of the game. While it is not explicitly forbidden, it is also not directly endorsed or supported. There are no intentions to improve the technical feasibility and viability of this practice. While it may never be completely impossible to pull it off, we don't see any reason to enable players intentionally to this playstyle. Many have also been asking for compensation due to the inability to log into the game. While these demands are understandable, this is entirely in EAs discretion as publisher of the game. They are solely responsible for the monetization of the product, therefore any claims of reimbursement will have to go through their Helpdesk here. Therefore, I can't make any statements regarding a community-wide compensation along the lines of discounts or free Repair Time and Command Points. Once the login has been brought back to stable reliability we will be able to review the issue and therefore act accordingly. Let me reiterate that we understand your frustration and disappointment at this point. All we can offer you in the meantime are workarounds and advice. This is obviously sub-optimal for you, the players. The reason we do this is because this is simply the best we can do at this point. There has also been some confusion about our repeated advice to delete Browser Cache & Cookies etc., as it is understood by some players that we blame them for doing anything wrong. This is simply not the case. However, it is something the players can solve for themselves, if only temporarily. We know that this is not how it is supposed to be and that it is not the players responsibility to take care of such matters. Unfortunately, there is little other remedy for the problem with the redirects on the main page currently. We wish it wouldn’t be necessary, but at this point it has proven itself as the only option of help we can effectively provide. Be assured that this is by no means supposed to be a permanent situation and that we want the experience of the game to be as hassle-free as possible. But being a browser game, CCTA simply relies on browser features such as the Cache and Cookies to operate, just like many other websites do. This is not uncommon, so clearing Cache and Cookies has been a viable solution to some errors in the past for that reason. If you find yourself unable to join the game after logging in or resuming a session, the following step by step walkthrough has been observed to help. Log out manually on the CCTA main page Go to your browser settings and clear out cache and cookies If you don’t want to delete all website data for other unrelated pages, manually delete everything related to EA and Tiberium Alliances Close the browser and open it again Sign back in manually using the login on the main page Alternatively, you can also access the game via this link: http://tiberiumalliances.com/logout This will log you out directly and allow you to sign in again manually whenever you access it. You can also deactivate the Remember Me option on the login screen. Hopefully this post will help clearing up some misinformation about the situation for the community and shed some light on what is going on right now. I can only tell you once more that we are sorry for the current situation and are working hard to improve it. I posted this here in the General Chat area, so players can give their feedback directly. Hey folks! I think many of you guys know me. Im playing Tiberium alliances for several years, won the 3 last WCS as member for nvidia and cic together with Takman1979 for Schaffa. Besides of that, I count to the best players of this game :P . What makes me a bit sad, is that the game didn't have any game balance changes the last couple of years. Nod is much more stronger then GDI in nearly everything, except maybe the midgame of worlds without malus. GDI gets theirs snipers 2 days earlier and the paladin range is nice. BUT 1. Nod is the best in farming outposts or even bases. The Vertigos are the best weapon of nod when its about killing the CY, Gdi has AT LEAST the double amount of structures infront of the CY. The Gdi commando is only 10% stronger then the nod one, but compared to the nod bomber it's a joke. We dont have to mention the Hawks, who drops their whole ammo while flying above a wall. Therefor: Please buff the damage of the commando. I think 20% more damage will be a nice spot. Not to weak, not to strong. 2. Nod has the best Upgrades in the game. Mammoth: Ye well, everyone is laughing about the upgrade the mightest tank in the game, the mammoth. It's totally useless, it isn't a upgrade you are saving your research points or anything. Avatar has lifeleech, it's godlike! Mammoth can run over walls? My suggestion: Give the mammoth the predator update (shields would be to op :D). Flat 20% more damage would be nice, then they can compete with the upgraded avatars lategame (still nod will be stronger farming outposts with low amount of repairtime due to lifeleech) Kodika: The upgrade sounds nice, but in reality it isn't good. The % of HP converted to it's shield is too low. The only good thing u can do atm with it, to protect your sniper who fights against another sniper. Anything other then this, it's useless. My suggestion: I don't know the correct numbers, but when the kodiak shield is at the moment 10% of the kodiaks hp, it needs to be doubled at least! (it won't be op, a mammoth protected by the kodiak will deplete it still under 1 second (: ) Nod has the strongest 2 upgrades on their most expensive units Gdi has 2 upgrades which you normally dont research because its a waste of RP 3. Air domination due to cobras Ye well, what shall i say. Everyone knows how good a cobra with shield is. It does not only provide 40-50% more hp, no.. It deals the whole time 100% damage till the shield is depleated. This means in farming outposts less repairtime and in strong bases you still can kill a mammoth in 2 rows where GDI needs at least 2x3 rows :/ gdi has the problem, that all air units except the kodiak, aren't tanky. The orca update can be nice, if it doesnt get killed till it reaches the mammoth/scrapbus. Paladin is in a good spot, due to his range he has kinda low damage but thats fine (one of gdis advantages) My suggestion: Buff the Orca HP about 20%, then it can compete a little bit more with the cobras. 4. Defence and the domination of Taxi offenses For ages now: "if you cant kill your enemy in 3 hits, just build a taxi offense and kill him in 60 hits" :D What is a taxi offense? Well, it consists some reconers and inf/snipers.. You put the inf into your reconers and attack a PvP base which has full support --> your reconers gets killed instantly and the infantry plops out with 100% hp, so you can kill the base step by step Nod is the only fraction who can build proper taxi offenses (due to invisible infantry, which is strong and doesnt get revealed by anything) My suggestion: There is one super useless defence unit i never have seen in my playtime: the defence reconer/guardian. Let's give them a job, which makes taxi offenses as well more unattractiv: Both units reveal invisible units in a range of 2,5! These are only a small amount of changes I thought about. I don't want GDI be better then NOD or even be overpowered.. But ~ 70-75 of the player base is playing NOD, because of the fact that is much stronger. These changes would help GDI , to convince some players to try out GDI again. Hello Guys! Because me & Takman got asked so many times: Schaffa wont start the WCS 2021 for a couple of reasons! 1. World setting Forgotten attacks was the last good update which came into this game. Nothing to say against!A world without morale makes it fast, you can go 5 days afk and zerg down 2-3 Bases and you are back.. It can be fun and depressing at the same time. We miss these old days, where you have to build up your account properly.. Where your tib/cry productions in your cashbases were worth something. Without morale you dont need to worry except one thing:Are on our route to our mid enough tib/power pois? is there a level 47ish reactor in the mid on our side? No? GG..In our opinion a WCS is a world of "skill", where every person/alliance can show off their gameknowdledge and stuff, which isnt given with "no morale" settings. This brings me to the next issue. 2. multiaccounts & preshooting bases This is the biggest problem! Everyone who have played over the last few years made experience with multi accounts and/or preshooting. The new meta is like:Having 25 "main" players and 25 multi accounts in your alliance, about another 50 multis waiting to get swapped when the first 25 multis are empty on repair/cp.. And repeat!On worlds without malus they are usefull.. You can still kill a base with a difference of 20-30 level (your OL to the forgotten base), especially when the multi has keyunits like a paladin or what ever.As an honest player its nearly impossible to catch up or even be equal to a "fed account". Yes, there was a patch to prevent preshooting.. But its still efficient, if you know how (i dont mention these players who like to shoot a base together and have to clean up every building to get something out of it). Dont get me wrong, I usually waste 8hrs+ for this game a day.. but its a big difference, if you have one account with 240cpish a day or 2400cp with 10 accounts.. Amount of multies shouldnt decide the outcome of a WCS. You know what will prevent this abuse if you cant fix it? Oh yes. Morale! 3. peoples mentality This is my personal issue. I wont talk about unthankfullyness or "nice weatherplayers" or blabla.. Its more about these who prefers easy gameplay mode. I tried it after the last WCS on a couple of some worlds: I wanted competition.. I played against ppl, i used to play together.. Where is the use of winning a world in 3 weeks of gameplay? farming further 4-6 weeks outs/camps till you have all codes & the level for the fort? I know, there are many people out there who are allways on the "loosing" side and want to have the chance of winning a competetive world, i can feel that.. The sad result: Most of the people dont like competition.. They prefer easy worlds.. Just put all strong players into one alliance and get an easy batch. (sadest part about this, that the ppl who won everything even want the less competetive mode) Thats why we support you! You got your dream world setting, use your multis and rush to the mid without competition, you deserve it =).We won the WCS 2017 against unfair enemies who started locking (glad it is 4 years later fixed :D) during war, when they recognized they are weaker. (the last morale WCS when i remember correctly)We won the WCS 2019 against an overwhelming amount of enemies (it was like 150 on our side against 600 on the enemies side). We are kinda tired.. its exhausting if you dont want to use the same "exploits", like these desperate ones who will do everything to win.. There is no need to do a vote for world setting, because the one with more multis will win. We are sorry for those, who maybe wanted to have a competetive WCS and those who were looking forward to play for Schaffa at WCS, but "we" are highly demotivated (not only the issues above, but also the time of date and stuff). Maybe we will see each other again on WCS 2024 (when there are still more playing then 10 ppl :D). Btw. people who want competition and are willing to learn, feel free to contact me :).
