Loading times extremely increased
Since EA-Cient-Update yesterday the game needed exactly 15 min 45 sec to start. (Used a stopwatch, really 😂) When playing last time (Feb. 2025) I didn't have any trouble regarding the loading times. The game needed approx. 1-2 min to start. So - has anybody any idea, what's going on here?Game No Longer Runs
Hi all! I have almost 200 hours in this game - I played it obsessively at launch with very few issues. I have a a 3060 Ti graphics card, a 5930K CPU, and 64GB of ram. My PC runs titles like BG3 without issue on Ultra graphics. Over the last two weeks, every time I have tried to boot Veilguard it completely crashes my system when on the Shaders Compilation screen at launch. It'll sometimes get to 100% but immediately crashes - my peripherals die, and the only thing still going is my fans. All of my drivers are up to date. I tried doing a fresh install of the game, and that did not help. Really frustrated because I want to pick it up again after a few months away. Any help would be appreciated!
''The Dodgy Recruit'' Armor Appearance Consistently Missing from the Wardrobe.
Greetings. During the quest "Blood of Arlathan", Rook and the team wear disguises. Rook's disguise changes based on their class. At the end of the quest, the relevant disguise is supposed to be awarded to the player as an appearance to be applied in the wardrobe. The rogue variant of the disguise, called "The Dodgy Recruit", appears to be bugged and can't be applied. When completing "Blood of Arlathan", the game's UI displays the armor as a reward for completing the quest, however it is impossible to apply the armor appearance, as its icon is not present in the Wardrobe UI. This bug has existed for some time - possibly since the launch of the game - and is present for every new rogue character created. Hi BioWare team, I’ve noticed an issue with the weapon appearance system in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, and I wanted to provide some feedback as it’s affecting the overall experience with customization. I recently purchased some bow appearances from merchants, but I couldn’t find them in the wardrobe afterward. After some trial and error, I discovered that the wardrobe system filters appearances based on the currently equipped weapon subtype — for example, if I have a shortbow equipped, I can’t see or apply longbow appearances, and vice versa. While this might be functioning as intended, the system feels very unintuitive for a few reasons: - There’s no clear warning or tooltip letting players know that appearances are locked by weapon subtype. - The wardrobe UI doesn’t show that it’s filtering by weapon type, leading many to believe their skins are missing or bugged. - Players can purchase skins they can’t actually use right away, which is confusing and frustrating. This is especially frustrating because it gives the impression that the appearance system is bugged, when it’s actually just not well-communicated. Suggestions: Add a tooltip or UI label in the wardrobe clearly stating that appearances are filtered by weapon subtype. Consider allowing players to preview and apply all appearances for a weapon class (e.g., bows) regardless of subtype. Alternatively, add a toggle or filter in the wardrobe so players can view skins for all weapon types, not just their currently equipped one. Thanks for all your hard work on the game — the level of detail and customization is amazing overall, and this small fix would go a long way toward improving the player experience. This problem first occurred probably a couple of weeks after updating my AMD GPU driver to 25.5.1 last month during my fourth playthrough some time after the start of Act 2. Soon after I left the Veil Jumper base, I noticed some frame rate drops and as I traveled along the path to the docks, the game suddenly crashed. This has happened multiple times and sometimes I got lucky enough to reach the area near the docks (picture provided) before the game crashed again. I had tried everything but none of the methods below worked. Repair the game by verifying game files integrity on Steam Downgrade the AMD GPU driver to a previous version (25.4.1) Reset shader cache on AMD Adrenalin Set graphics to "Low" Disable triple buffering Switch off all mods Here are my PC specs: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X Radeon RX 7800 XT 32GB RAM Confusingly, the game didn't crash (but still suffering some frame rate drops) whenever I fast-travelled to areas away from the docks and the Veil Jumper base. I like this game and I don't want my current fourth and future playthroughs ruined just because the game crashes every time I walk out of the Veil Jumper base and head to the docks.

When i am playing dragon age on neve quest it loads fine then when we go to the dock where she wants to show my here spot it the screen goes dark and it goes to load thhen the game just exits to the desktop with no error showing in event viewer . Any help please
Frequent crashes & load errors
The game's stability has severly declined since I got it through Epic a few days ago. The first day I had 2 crashes; figured it was a problem with my PC since it was overdue for some TLC. The day after, it crashed 4 times... Third day I had to fight to even get it to work at all and I started to run in to the issue of not being able to load autosaves, which becomes an especially large problem when the game frequently crashes out of nowhere. Any time I try to load an auto save I get the very informative message: "Load error. An error occurred while trying to complete your request." where it tells me absolutely nothing about what is wrong and how to fix it. Luckily I temporarily solved it by loading a chapter save, then loading my latest auto save afterwards but as of today this no longer works. I am only able to load temporary chapter saves and manual saves, which might not be that large of an issue if it was me who decided when to quit the game, but as it stands I have almost no say in the matter. Thankful for any advice at this point. I realize some specifics about my computer may be required to troubleshoot; I'm not the most tech savvy so I'm not sure what's important to write down right off the bat but if anyone can help I'll gladly look in to it and reply ASAP!
Playing on PS5 with DualSense Edge and R1 isn’t working
I went to check controller mapping and R1 doesn’t work in the menu systems and it won’t even allow me to assign it to another command. I’m stuck in the game because I cannot open the menu to do tinkering. I have closed the game and reopened it and my PS5 and the DualSense Edge controller are up to date on firmware.
PC crash and restart while playing
I would like to share my experience with you guys. I am a big fan of the Dragon Age saga and I was so excited to play this game. Few months ago I bought a new pc with a 4070 super, way better than the GPU needed for the minimum requirements. Played several games smoothly before downloading and starting Dragon Age The Veilguard. After few hours of gameplay the pc started behaving crazy, with random crashes during the gameplay that completely shut down and automatically restart my pc, without any blu screen or anything at all (power kernel error, in the Event Viewer). Firstly I thought it was a pc hw/sw thing and tried hundred of attempts and workarounds but the problem persisted and the game was shutting down my pc as I said. The same started to happen with the other games I had on my pc, so I was pretty sure it was a GPU/PSU failure and I requested a return+refund of the pre-assembled PC. After that I bought another PC with an rtx 5070 this time (just arrived last week) and, after couple of days where I played regularly the game, the problem happened again this morning, with a completely different pc, brand new! BTW I have changed all external devices (mouse, keyboard, controller) to be sure those were not the cause of the issue. It was an immediate UNINSTALL THE GAME for me. Can't risk to burn another PC just to play this game. I am really sad and disappointed since I am a big fan and I am not allowed to play the game, I even have a EA PlayPro subscription because of it. Hope my experience will avoid to others the same amount of distress I had in these few weeks due to EA bad optimization or whatever we can call something like this. [CM - Title edited for accuracy]
Broken achievement as shadows fall ps5
Hello, So i finish the game but the achievement for part 11 didn’t pop for me, since it’s automatic it’s kinda annoying, it’s the only one i miss for the platinum. Does anyone know a solution or their is not way to fix that ? i try reloading a save and tomorrow im gonna try deleting the game then reinstalling and then load a save Thanks in advance 🙏🏻Steam Deck controller disconnects on sleep mode
I recently started playing Dragon Age The Veilguard again and have been having trouble with getting a message that my controller disconnected whenever I put my steam deck in sleep mode. If I’m in the game after turning the steam deck back on it brings up a message saying “Controller Disconnected Your controller was disconnected. Reconnect and press A to continue”. When I try to press A nothing happens and I have to restart the game. If I enter sleep mode on the main menu no message comes up but no buttons work. When I last played the game in January this didn’t happen. I don’t know if this is a steam deck issue or a Dragon Age issue. What I’ve tried to fix it: Making sure my steam deck and Dragon Age are up to date. Disabling steam inputs under properties, controller. Changing my OS update channel to preview. Plugging in a switch controller and trying to press A on it. Plugging in a switch controller and unplugging it after getting the message then trying the steam deck controls. Doing the same as the switch controller but with a keyboard.
Wrong Inquisitior entirely
Playing on PS5. I imported my Inquisitor Lavellan from my first playthrough then imported a Rook from the character creator, and triple checked thay my Inquisitor stayed the same before I started playing the game. I finally got to the scene where you meet the Inquisitor for the first time, and a female Cadash walked out instead. Morrigan still used he/him pronouns and Lace still introduced him as Inquisitor Lavellan, and he still talks with the same voice, he just is a female Cadash. I've never made a dwarf Inquisitor so I don't know if she's a cadash default or not. I tried reloading a save before the cutscene, and closing and restarting the game, and the same female Cadash comes out. I'm so confused how this happened.Necropolis Defender Upgrade Bug
So I’ve got the Neceopolis Defender from the chest in the mission where you get Emmrich, I finished Pinacle of its kind mission and finished Desperate in Dock Town as well, I’ve got the upgrade for the shield in Desperate in Dock Town but didn’t get the one from beating the formless one in Dock Town in Pinacle of its kind, it’s there anything I’ve missed? Because I’ve googled everywhere and I’m certain I must have 3 upgrades already but my Necropolis Defender is only rare level, has this happened to anyone else?
Want a Refund
I've tried everything to make this game work. I dont have the money to buy a SSD and it wasn't in the essential requirements of the game. I'll play a bit and it'll crash and I have to do something funny to the save to get it back. I'm sick of doing work arounds to find it crashes again. I bought it on release and no signs of it ever being fixed. Absolute joke. Anyone else as mad as me? Anyone got their money back on this broken game?
Snake Nest Quest Bug
The snake nest quest will not add itself to my journal when I speak to the woman. When I leave the area the quest mark will reappear in Dock Town. I’ve read around and it does seem like some ppl have issues with this quest but none of them have been the same issue as I’ve got here
Serious bug report
In the character page there's a bug displaying weapons on the character, for example my mage character every time after first click into this page, it will display both weapons(mageknife and stave) on her body, but after I switched to any other section using R1 or L1 on my controller then switch back, it will only display one weapon, and there's no any option to toggle the display of these weapons in anywhere, I think it's a serious bug to be considered fixed And need to consider adding option to toggle different weapon preview on a character in the wardrobe page, in the wardrobe page it always only display how only one weapon looks like when equipped on the body not in hand, no any option to see how the other one will look like when equipped on the body Another advice can you put "Hide tooltips" in the character page by default off instead on? Then after click into a specific weapon or equipment by default it is on? Because on the main page of the "character" page if by default turned on will some kind of block the visionNot launching
So, im having the same problem as many have already reported. Everything you can possibly think about is up to date, i already ran the terminal as an administrator and used the commands as suggested in other thread, i literally tried everything and nothing works, the game just wont launch for anything.Bellara's quest Through the Shadows bugged
I saved right near the beginni9ng of the quest last night because I had to get to bed, and when I loaded my save I was on the other side of the broken bridge from the start of the quest, when I saved I was on the opposite side. The quest marker is across the bridge and I now cannot cross the bridge as the path is somehow gone. I am unable to progress the quest no matter what and cannot leave the quest. Reloading an autosave from before I started the quest results in Bellara's quest being gone from the journal, and I can no longer complete it at all.Connecting to online services....
Just bought the game (on steam) on the 2nd of May. Been able to play once. Every other time I have been plagued with connecting to online services screen and won't load past that. It also won't show in the EA App, but Inquisition does? I've uninstalled and downloaded steam, ea app, and dragon age veilguard 2 times each (not including the original downloads). I have gone through two agents and all their trouble shooting steps (clear cache, repair files, etc). Nothing has worked. Now I'm told to just wait and post here as well. I'm trying to be patient because Inquisition is one of my favorite games but this is frustrating.
