Rook's Weapon Appearance brok BD armour
I had the Blood Dragon Armour as pre-purchase items. Then I installed the Rook's Weapon Appearance DLC which was available free, and the BD items disappeared from my wardrobe, from the current playthrough and all the earlier ones. I removed the DLC, which didn't help, and made a ticket, got some copy-paste replies from EA Help that were no use at all, and then they outsourced the problem to the forums, telling me to seek a solution there. They've also force-closed the ticket without a clear option to keep it open. So good job there too. My game is bought on Steam, which says EA doesn't manage their items there so contact EA Help. EA Help tried to tell me to contact Steam. VG doesn't show up in my EA App, perhaps because the game doesn't support linking between EA App and Steam (if it did, the Steam page would say so, right, like it does for DAI?), even though my accounts are linked. I tried uninstalling and re-installing the game and verifying the files, but no effect. I used to have the items so no doubt EA could give them back to me if they could be bothered. Which they obviously aren't. Luckily, I wasn't expecting much from the ticket, and that's what I got. With all the issues other people are having with their items, it seems it's pretty much a matter of luck whether you actually have the items you've earned or paid for. So, anyone here have a solution?AMD 9070XT Black Screen Crash
I have been playing for the past few weeks and have started running into near constant crashes. The frequency of these crashes is anywhere between every few minutes to few hours. It does not seem to correspond to any in game events though at one point I managed to get it to consistently happen when entering one area but it fixed itself there after about 10 crashes. The crashes are all screens turning off, the game sounds sometimes continuing (and I can tell I am interacting with the game due to controller vibrations), some times my GPU fans spin up to 100%. In all situations it is not recoverable and the system will eventually restart, sometimes instantly other times after a few minutes. Sometimes after restarting my graphics card is no longer detected causing multiple issues that need resolving step by step. I have tried all troubleshooting I can online, my best solution is to DDU , reinstall drivers to force the shaders to fully recompile and then I can usually get around 30 minutes into the game before it fails again (though I suspect it might be placebo) . It is not temperature, or overclock as I have tried underclocking and keeping a temp log to no success. I have tested both a Linux install as well as windows and the error appears on both, and I have tested on a steamdeck and I can force the error to occur by changing the screen refresh rate while the game is running . I am currently installing my older GPU to see if I can run the game with that instead but there is clearly something broken either with my new 9070 XT or, I hope, with the game/drivers. I have not had issues like this with other games but DAV is the game I have played the longest with this card. Any help would be appreciated and if you have the same issue I would welcome a comment just so I can know that I am not alone and it is more likely to be the drivers or game and not a busted card!
Visual Issue - Missing Water Splash Visual Effect
Hello, I have noticed a small visual error/bug/glitch in the game. When Rook is in a body of water and jumps on the spot, no splash effect is displayed when landing. What is displayed, strangely, is an incorrect dirt/dust spray effect. To clarify, one has to keep the character still. The issue is only present when jumping on the spot in water. Walking in water displays the correct effect. Best.
The Labs Below won't trigger [PC]
Encoutered a bug where I can't complete the Regrets of the Dread Wolf quest because I can't collect the last memory. When I first entered the Crossroads I slid down the slope and the cutscene for this quest triggered, but I felt like I wasn't ready for it and wanted different companions, so I reloaded to just before. Now when I try to go down there to finish this quest the cutscene won't trigger, Tarasahl isn't there and the door is closed and can't be interacted with. Trying to reload an even earlier save isn't really an option because I've played for 80 hours since then. The last patch did not fix this. I would hate to have to abandon my first playthrough so far in, it kinda puts me off playing the game altogether.
When loading, get a black screen with the game still loading
For some reason over the last couple of days, I have been dealing with whenever I try to load the game after I stop playing for a bit, I get a black screen that loads and then sits there and it seems like nothing happens but the game does load and then I can hear the sound and everything and can hear when my mouse seemingly goes over the menu options. I have tried the following: Updated Graphics drivers to the latest Updated Windows to the latest Verified Game Files Deleted the shader cache Rolled back my Graphics driver to an earlier version to see if that works. The only thing that seems to work is uninstalling the game and reinstalling...which is insanely annoying to do. At this point I'll keep reinstalling to be able to play the game....but it's annoying.Veilguard, series x installation stops
I have had a search and can see this came up a lot, but no real fix. Does anybody know how to fix the game from stopping installation at 5% from disc 1. Keeps saying check disc, nothing wrong with disc. I've tried everything, I also tried a different game and that's fine. It's just Veilguard. Please help!
Graphics change when first using in game camera
The first time I used the in game camera there was a pop up telling me I was making a change to one of my graphics settings. The problem is I believe this change has made water reflections in another application appear upside down. Can anyone tell me what this change was please because I've no idea what it was or how to reverse it... Uninstalling and reinstalling the game has not made the pop up appear again so I believe whatever the change was, it is system wide
Missing Saves
This is apparently a recurring problem but I haven't seen a solution anywhere. I lost about 10 hours of gameplay despite frequently manually saving. I played earlier today but when I loaded the game in the evening it loaded back to the dragon attack on Minrathous. Is there a fix to this or do I just swear off EA? Playing on PS5
Crossroads/Converged City/The Labs Below quest stuck
I'm stuck in the Labs Below quest in the Crossroads now. Both doors are closed and there's no way out. I'm not able to climb out. I've not seen any errors. Things seemed to progress nicely until I had to burst 3 cysts running up to the door and the door doesn't have a prompt to open it or take damage to force it open. I'm running a Windows 10/Core i9/AMD 6950XT on High Settings. I reviewed the EA Help article on bugs with this game but it hasn't resolved my issue. Screenshots attached. Thanks. -Blenvid
Rooks appearance free cosmetic bugged
Ever since I downloaded it from the EA app in the add on section for veilguard, the game has been horrifically bugged. It either doesn't start at all OR I go to start a new game , it gets to the loading screen just before minrathous bar scene and it crashes out. Every single time. I've un-installed then reinstalled my game, the graphics drivers n so on and it still does it. So I was wondering if anyone else is encountering this and if so is there a fix on the way? Edit: I can't even remove the add-on from the game because in the ea app where it allows me to view/manage add-ons in my game library, the option to remove the add-on is missing
Veilguard frequently crashing
I ike the game to bits but the crashing thats going on is becoming a real annoyance, and I have seen multiple other users reporting the same issues. Playing the game through steam the game frequently crashes, especially during high instensity scenes, but can also happen during loading screens, going to different areas and seemingly at random. Every crash is related, to DirectX12, and the error message I've seen popping up the most "OnGPUChainSwap". And don't even bother telling me to check my requirements, I know the CPU is old and I'm not on the latest of AMD GPUs, but the error message is always Direct X related. I have updated and and clean installed GPU drivers through the AMD software multiple times since the I first noticed the crashes. Something is causing the game to crash when handing things over to DX12. Attached is the DxDiag fileDATV Won't Open
As of a week or so ago my Dragon Age game WILL NOT OPEN. I have tried everything I can think of (uninstall/reinstall, run as admin, delete shade cache, check file integrity through steam, updated drivers) NOTHING has worked. When I go to open the game (through steam or using the desktop shortcut) it will pop up like the game is trying to load, but it never get farther than a white screen before crashing and closing the window. I am lost and utterly heartbroken. I have over 100 hours in the game and only 6 achievements away from completing the game entirely. Please somebody tell me there is a fix for this.PS5 - files from the last 5 days gone
Good evening team, I was playing yesterday, march 19th, to the game (with its automatic saves and manual saves) and today, when starting the game, I see that the last games saved (both manual and automatic) are from March 15th, meaning that I have lost the time played of the last 4 days. Is there any way to recover the files from yesterday? It feels really tiring to have to play again all that time that I have lost... Thank you for your assistance!
Coffee with the Crows Only - Action Buttons unresponsive
Hi, I attached my screen capture so you could see. Essentially, the action buttons work fine until I start the “Coffee with the Crows” quest. As soon as it starts, the action buttons no longer respond except for in the menu. you can see in the video that I jump, jump attack prior to starting the mission once it starts, you see me running around in a circle because I’m hitting x / square / triangle a bunch to no avail I can confirm that this is not an issue related to the controller software, since it literally only happens after I start this mission and only with this game. I did move on to other quests after loading a previous save and I was able to finish those just fine. Tried coming back after doing a few more missions and it’s still the same problem. Super frustrating since I really need to progress with treviso before moving the main storyline to not miss anything.
