The Game is Unplayable
I have been very busy this year when i finally found time to actually play Veilguard i launched the game only to find it unplayable. Immediately upon launch the game is slow, laggy and stuttering from main page to the actual game my computer is up to date and no settings changes have helped. DAV Armor Appearance Quality Issue
Hi, I'm playing the game on Steam/Windows 10 and I'm experiencing some issues with the texture quality of an armor appearance. The Insulated Suit comes in several colors for the different factions. The texture for the Grey Warden version of the outfit is noticeably lower quality than the other factions. My attached screenshot shows a comparison between the Shadow Dragon version of the Insulated Suit versus the Grey Warden version, which is blurry in comparison. The issue persists across multiple savegames, in-game locations, cinematic scenes and even after quitting and re-loading the game.
Request: Don't make regular scar, tattoo and gender dialogues mutually exclusive
(Ed. note: However you feel about the gender stuff or about tattoos, they're both present features in the game, and there's an issue that's bugging me). Say you have an elf that's gone through some gender stuff. They also have vallaslin (or some other tattoo) that means a lot to them. Or they got some scars that are foundational to the choices they made (my Warden Rook got some face scars from a Darkspawn fight!). With the way the shaving mirror dialogue is set up, you can only address one of them. If Rook talks about their tattoo, they're shut out of their scars and their identity conflict stuff. If they went through some gender exploration, then they can't talk about their vallaslin. It's such a strange exclusion to lock you into only selecting one of these things to reflect on, when all have the potential to be meaningful, which is supposed to be the point of the shaving mirror scene. Would love to see the "Choosing one will conclude the conversation" portion disabled, allowing you to go through multiple options. Just a quality of life request, for those folks interested in more than one of the features
Bug au lancement de Dragon Age The Veilguard
Bonsoir, Je vous écris ces quelques lignes pour vous rapporter un bug au lancement du jeu: Dragon Age The Veilguard. On me demande d'appuyer sur une touche pour lancer le jeu, mais j'appuie sur toutes les touches possibles (clavier + souris), rien ne se passe. Impossible de lancer le jeu. I have just about given up.
I finally after MONTHS got a new gaming laptop which allowed me to play this new game which I fell in love with for about 100 hours. NOW it has started crashing at start up and I cannot for the life of me figure out why, I have… updated bios cleared shaders folder reinstalled the entire game twice decreased graphics settings when I did get in to medium only using about 60% of VRAM verified file integrity about 30k times Whats really weird is sometimes it does work, I can get it through and play fine with no crashes or issues. However that isn’t common and at this point I don’t know what to do cause I love this game and am literally on part 12 and want to desperately finish it, but I don’t think I’ll be able to. Computer Specs if needed: nvidia geforce RTX 5060 intel core ultra 7 255H intel(r) arc(tm) 140T gpu (16gb)
[Feedback] Errors in Wardrobe
Pretty minor issue, but still wanted to flag in case these can be addressed in a future patch. I noticed the following issues/errors with the wardrobe. I've primarily played as a mage, so if anyone can add any issues they've noticed for Rook's warrior/rogue equipment, go ahead an add those as replies! Rook's Winged Staff (Silverite) is called Veilseeker All Rook's Encircled Blades are called Timeworn Mageknife except for Encircled Blade (Silverite) Davrin's Crafter Trappings is duplicated Lucanis's Butcher's Screw is unavailable (not even a slot for it)
Purchased stat buffs do not increase stats after a reload
What platform are you playing on? Xbox Series X What is happening? (and what do you expect to happen instead?) As noted in this Reddit thread and I assume elsewhere, the stat buffs that can be purchased from merchants do not work. Hi, I was exploring the area I currently have all of the npc party members I could have. I did all the red crystals and then decided to do all the remaining puzzles in the area before going and fighting whatever demon that was speaking to me. And now there's a blue barrier up but Neve nor any of my other characters can unlock it. I've looked at others gameplay and there's supposed to be a spot above the door to unlock it. And it's missing. Any advice?
DirectX Error - "Dx12Renderer::waitOnSwapChain Gpu timeout detected"

On my PC, when I leave Veilguard on Pause to do something else on my computer, at least half the time when I return to Veilguard, I find the game did a CTD, with the following error message: DirectX function "Dx12Renderer::waitOnSwapChain Gpu timeout detected" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG ("The GPU will not respond to more commands"). GPU: "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650, Driver;: 56094. This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing; try installing the latest drivers. GPUBreadcrums: I have checked, and I already have the latest graphic drivers. Path Of Sighs - Collecting Bones
I have tried to complete this 1 part to get all the chests and I cannot interact with the coffin once I have collected all the bones. I have video to prove this but it won't let me place the bones once I have collected them all. I have gone back to the main menu, and restarted and closed the game and continued, And also uninstall the game and reinstall the game All 3 options won't allow me to complete this particular puzzle. PS5
[EA App][PC] Preorder & Deluxe items not unlocking no chest issue back again
Hi I did not want to start another post about this, but I am no longer getting the chest to spawn on my first visit to the lighthouse. I even waited to see if it would spawn later in the first meditation after decorating Rook's room, but no, I do not get a chest or popup even after the wardrobe message. Yes, I have created a brand-new character Yes I have not skipped any dialogue Yes, I have checked my EA App and Game Licensing ( EA App vs EA Play edition ) Honestly, I don't know what's going on. I have even disabled my third-party Antivirus software, Kaspersky, and tried a VPN in case it was a "Connecting to Online Services" issue. I cannot control this connection in-game on my PC or collect debug information to determine any issues, as I lack the knowledge and instructions to monitor it.Appearance changed
When I started the game back up I was suddenly headless and then when I tried to fix it, like fast traveling my saved character became someone else, like I went from an elf to a quanari. It was in dock town and I saved at the spillway last night, I was doing the demon quest that's over there. I was lucky enough to just have to go back to a different auto save. I play on Xbox.
Game suddenly not playable
Hello forum, this is actually for my sig-other who plays Dragon Age, plus all the iterations, but is experiencing difficulty - ONLY with Veilguard! this is for a PC: AMD Ryzen 7 5700G @ 3,8GHz + AMD RX 6650XT with 8GB GDDR6 + 32GB DDR4 RAM + onboard Realtek ALC887 sound + onboard Realtek GbE RJ-45 network + MS windows 11 - updates all current + EA Games app - updates all current + AMD Adrenalin - updates all current (v25.6.1) set at 'default' video properties..... She started playing Veilguard in November of last year and seemed very happy with it. From what I saw, game performance was fast enough to be impressive, though she did say she had turned off some gameplay details. the issue is that about five or six weeks ago, immediately after something updated (?), the game became unplayable. Loading at start went from a minute or two to an unreasonable time... 30 minutes? an hour? she didn't say. and game play went from impressive to jittery... frame-by-frame-by-frame. As far as I know, it does not actually crash, and all the other Dragon Age games are playable as before. I have tried uninstalling the video driver and reinstalling it clean. (used Display Driver Uninstaller in safe mode to be sure all old files had been removed). she also tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling. also same for the EA app, and clearing the cache. I'm not finding any other suggestions. Anyone? Thanks PS I'm attaching a current DxDiag full output
