Game causes my pc to randomly turn off after update3
after update 3, my pc will randomly turn off while playing. its only this game that is causing this to happen. im not over heating either. i turn the pc back on right away, run geforce and it shows my temp around 45c. i have an i7 and nvidia 2070 super 16 gig ram and a ssd hard drive. theres no stuttering or freezing leading up to it either. all the settings are set to low as well. prior to update3, i had no issues at all, not a single ctd. i have the game through ea app, and all other programs are off. all drivers are up to date
How to do Regrets of the Dreadwolf properly ?
Hi all My first character could not trigger the last dreamsequence "Heights og Althim" I think was called. On my second character I have done all the regrets simply by exploring (the first staute starts the quest). Which made the quest go away as completed when all statues have been collected... Is it safe to collect all the regrets (statues) before getting the quest where you get one statue handed to you (in the cobbled swan I think it was)? I read about not being able to place the statues if you collect them before you get the last one in the cobbled swan It would be super frustrating to have the quest bugging out on me again, not sure I will start a 3rd char if that would be the case... Somebody knows in what order you are supposed to do this ?? Cheers
Regrets of the Dread Wolf - Heights of Athim
Going through the arch doesn't trigger party dialog, the start of the dream sequence, anything. Completely locked out of the questline and I've tried everything I can think of. Saving in the area is unavailable too. Anyone else had this? I've not seen it documented yet and it's driving me mad.
Crackling sound making it unplayable
Title screen, Varric doing his monologue and character creation all play sound with no problem but the second I got to the first cutscene with my rook and then into Mintrathous the sound is constantly crackling and cutting out. Have tried every possible audio setting in game and updated drivers. (On windows 10)
Last Rites not Progressing on PC
I got the quest and made it to the area, destroyed the crystals which, at first at least, were just the two unguarded ones by the barriers, but nothing happened, went to complete a different quest in the area and waystoned back to where it was to try again and the barriers were back, along with the guard crystal sequence. Broke the guard crystals, then the main crystals, can access the area, but when one is down the other doesn't fall like it's supposed to, and even destroying both ones doesn't progress the quest.
Game Breaking Mission Bug
Minor spoiler for mission name, that's it. Had to return to the lighthouse for "A Change on the Wind" and after teleporting, the cut scene does not happen. I tried walking around, falling off the map, loading an earlier save file, and even uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Nothing triggers this cut scene, so I can no longer move forward in the campaign.Xbox X. 10 hours in - load times ballooned and textures dropped
Xbox X I've tried restarting the Xbox and the problems continue. What once took a couple of seconds to load is now taking 30 seconds to a minute. Environmental and conversational textures are glitchy. Some textures are loading as a water source that kills you. It feels like this should be a patch problem. Any thoughts?
Bug on fire and ice main story quest cant progress main story.
After completing the fire and ice battle between the dragons theres a cut scene between me, the wardens and crows. But then I'm sent straight to the lighthouse after and its acting like I haven't completed the quest for fire and ice. I cant progress through the main story as no new quests show up it wont allow me to fast travel saying I cant because I have an "active quest" even tho its been completed. I've tried going back and doing the quest on a later save still does the same thing.
ANOTHER player with the Solas Memories Bug
The memory for Solas is NOT triggering at the Heights of Athim for my mom's game. She's on PS5. NOTHING has fixed it. Reloading, loading earlier save, bringing different team members to the area, killing everything in the area, NOTHING. We've tried everything. Her game did NOT crash to cause it either, it just never worked. Considering this effects game endings, you guys need to prioritize this bug as multiple people are having it.Camera panning issue
Similar issue to https://forums.ea.com/discussions/dragon-age-the-veilguard-tech-issues-en/camera-panning-issue/5002916 though issue is unresolvable and Veilguard nplayable PC (Windows 11 24H2). I believe the issue lies with the mouse not being able to "zero" itself. Reducing the mouse sensitivity to 0.00 helps but does not resolve the issue, making it less nauseating but still unable to play. The game was installed directly through the EA client (so there is no third-party issue). Multiple monitor setup (though that should not affect the issue). No workarounds have resolved the issue (even temporarily) DxDiag is available but will not be posted on an open forum. Troubleshooting done: Check the EA forums for advice Check the Steam forums for advice Check the Googles for advice Check Notepad to ensure no stuck keyboard entry Check Windows Game Controller and Mouse settings to ensure no virtual or inputs being received Check other games to ensure a similar issue is not happening (Including EA app games) Update Windows (no updates needed latest KB55046740) Disconnect joysticks (no controllers have ever been installed on the system), same issue Updated video driver (NVidia 566.14), cold boot required (System shutdown, unplug the power cord for 30 seconds, reconnect), same issue Updated mouse driver (Razr Naga Pro 2..03.03), same issue Set mouse sensitivity to 0.00 and record video, same issue Check FPS (set to automatic), same issue Replicate the issue with a new character, same issue Repair Veilguard, cold boot, same issue Check for Logitech Download Assistant (not installed, though have a G19 keyboard), same issue Mouse set to 1000 requests per second, set to 250, same issue (restored to 1000) Uninstalled Razr Synapse 4 (should not be necessary and was not configured), same issue Updated XBox Accessories from Microsoft Store (no controller has ever been installed on the system and the application does not detect one on update), same issue Uninstall Veilguard, cold boot Download Veilguard (prior settings persist), same issue Per EA chat attempt with a "different keyboard and mouse" Connect USB A generic 101 Keyboard and a generic USB "dumb" (no scroll wheel even) mouse, same issue Per EA chat open a ticket with link provided of https://forums.ea.com/category/dragon-age-en/discussions/dragon-age-the-veilguard-tech-issues-en (silly me, I was expecting a link to create a ticket within my EA profile) Rename Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age The Veilguard\ save games and settings to .bad, thought about it and just deleted all Documents\BioWare entries Delete install directory, rip the registry keys <spoiler>had all reg keys listed here but decided that could be a disaster for someone who didn't know their way around</spoiler>, clean reg, cold boot, download, install, same issue No virtual devices anywhere What next?
Inaccessible chest in Dock Town (Bug)
There is a chest in Dock Town that is no longer accessible after a certain choice is made in the game, due to the main base being moved. Now, the chest in the attached image is inaccessible and there is no way to get it or obtain 100% completion on this game file. This is ridiculous as it makes the many hours we have spent on our save file completely pointless, as this has now essentially become a ‘missable’ item that we can no longer access. I honestly thought this game did a good job of having no missable items until this point. PLEASE FIX THIS OR SUGGEST A FIX!Blood of Arlathan gate bug
I’m stuck at the part of blood of arlathan where the companions are opening the gate for you. The enemies never appear when prompted to defend the area. I have already beat the first set and tried the gate and broken the scaffolding and then nothing happens. I’ve restarted the game, my pc, reloaded from different saves and nothing has fixed it. Anyone have a solution or also has this problem?
Converged City upper gate won't open
The gate on the upper level of Converged City that has a chest, won't open despite the 2 beams being properly placed and the lights either side of the gate are lit. Am I missing something? I've tried taking the beams off and reconnecting them back, fast travelling in & out, advancing the story (screenshots taken Act 1, I am now in Act 2), leaving Converged City area on foot, going to another area and coming back. Still the same. Platform is PS5, current game version. Screenshots attached.
