Game removed from library, EA not willing to restore it
I've had Spore in my library since almost the day of the release years ago. I purchased the physical edition and redeemed the codes in the back of the manual. Today, years later, I wanted to replay it, but to my surprise the game is gone from my library. Searching it everywhere I ended up in the EA store, which to my greater surprise again, it says that I still own the DLCs, but not the base game. Contacted support via chat, and told me that since the game was purchased in the physical edition they cannot do anything and the only thing I can do is to ask for a replacement on the original store (sounds like a joke honestly, is not the store fault and Spore is not sold anymore and I purchased it 16 years ago) or to buy it again from the EA store. I know is cheap but please this feels like a scam, is there anything else I can do?Motbest1 hour agoNewcomer23Views2likes1CommentDetect Game External SSD?
I have to spend more than 6 hours re downloading an entire game on the EA app, if I want to play it on a different computer. I have installed it on my external USB SSD, but on the new computer, it doesn't detect the game, even if I set the installation folder to the external ssd ea folder. I tried to name my game folder to "backup". Then I start a fresh download via EA app. I pause it and close EA entirely. I transfer my game files to the new EA app created folder. And then start EA. And redownload it and hope it detect the files, but no... it does the same thing. it ignores the files in the folder, and just redownloads everything. In the past there was a repair function, but even that is gone now. And I recall that repair took a long time aswell. Is there any way at all to not have to spent more than 6 hours to download a game every time I want to play my EA app games on a different computer? Hello, I am having activation issues with older EA games that I legally own on CD with valid serial numbers. These games were originally registered through Origin and now appear in my EA app library. I can download and install them, but when I launch them, an old EA activation window appears and says my computer is offline and needs an Internet connection, even though I am online. One example is FIFA 12 for PC, but the same issue is happening with other older EA games on my account. I have already tried repair, administrator mode, compatibility mode, and checking firewall/antivirus settings, but nothing worked. Please check whether these games can still be activated through the EA app and whether my licenses are correctly linked to my EA account. Thank you.40Views0likes1CommentCan't log in to EA APP with Origin account
When I try to log into the EA App using the same login as I used for EA Browser, my account does not exist on the EA APP and recovery is not working in the browser. I've had Origin since 2013 and I had a multitude of Sims 3 games and a few Sims 4 games on there. I had the urge to log in and play a bit, but as per title, my Origin login credentials are not working for the EA app, but they work for the browser. I have tried over and over again to recover the account by using the EA ID, Steam account Link, email, etc, with no luck. It says something like "EA ID does not exist" when i try or "please put real steam id" etc. I have tried too many times, and now it's not letting me use anything at all to attempt to log in. I would like to know how to fix this, thank you.BigChik3n8 days agoRising Newcomer63Views0likes1CommentCan’t add phone number to my EA account – “Something went wrong” error
When I try to add a phone number to my EA account, I get the following error message: Something went wrong. Try again later. I’ve already contacted EA support, but they couldn’t fix the issue. I’ve tried adding different phone numbers – none of them work. On my other EA account, adding a phone number works without any problems. Has anyone experienced this issue and found a solution?erixongoat8 days agoSeasoned Newcomer480Views2likes4CommentsGames missing from my EA library
I had Crysis 2 standard edition, which I bought on a physical disc. Then I bought Crysis 2 Maximum edition in EA Store years ago. So I had 2 separate copies in my library: one from retail, one from digital store. Almost the same story with the NFS Most Wanted 2012 (here I first bought digital standard edition, then bought retail Limited Edition). Also I had Star Wars The Old Republic in my library in which I spent hundreds of hours and dollars. I also had Battlefield 2 Complete Edition, but now it shows, that I only have Special Forces DLC So effectively EA stole 3.75 games from me. I get, that they merged Crysis 2 and NFS Most Wanted. But they did that without my consent. I paid twice for them, so I think I'm eligible for either refund or a key for copies, that they took away from me. Steam never steal or merge anything. There I have for example Fallout 3 with all the DLC and Fallout 3 GOTY edition. No merging [CM - Edited title for clarity]Solved57Views0likes1CommentEA app doesn't launch

Hi all! I have not yet transitioned to the new EA app because my very old computer’s OS is not compatible (even after updating). I had a Mac but am considering buying a PC this time around for gaming. Will my games still transfer? I understand the files won’t but I’m okay with starting from scratch if I can do it on a newer computer. My XBox Game Pass has been linked to someone elses EA Account I went to install an EA game from the XBox Gamepass on PC and it prompted me to install EA Desktop. I did so and it automatically started the app up and connected it to someone elses EA account. It is not connecting to my EA account, it is not asking for a password and I have no way to disconnect it. My XBox game pass account now seems to be permanently linked to someone elses EA account. Microsoft say they have no access because its an EA thing. The EA helpdesk refuses to do anything because they want me to verify the credentials for the random EA account that it has connected to, It's not my account so I have no way to verify it. They refuse to help in any way, cannot tell me whose account it is and aren't even willing to contact that person to have them resolve it. I am completely unable to link my XBox to my own account because somehow the system has linked it to this other random account and EA wont touch it unless I can somehow prove that this other persons account is mine. And of course, I can no longer connect to Chat as it prompts me to send an email or to call a number, and the number just has a recorded message stating that they are unable to take my call. It's a little frustrating to say the least Appreciate if any EA representative can advise on how I can make the EA support people do something11KViews0likes29CommentsWhy does the EA app display "Games have been removed from your library"?
Hey everyone, Thank you all for expressing your concerns about the "Games have been removed from your library" notification in the EA app (see below). We want to assure you that this feature is often* functioning as intended. Its recent implementation aims to reduce the number of inquiries about missing games or DLCs and provide clarity on why such items have been removed from your library. By clicking on the "VIEW DETAILS" button on the right side of the message, you can see a list of all the games that have been removed and the respective reasons for their removal. *It's important to understand that this scenario can also be triggered by a valid, temporary issue. When or if this happens, we will confirm this in the thread. Please see the 'Resolved TEMPORARY Outages Resulting in the Same Error' section below for further details. These reasons may include, but are not limited to: Expiration of an EA Play membership, Sunset of games due to discontinued online services, Removal of games due to fraudulent activities, And more. Often, the message providing the reason for removal includes a link to an EA Help article explaining the rationale behind it. For sunset games, please see our EA Help article about older EA games that aren't available. For games removed from EA Play, please see The Play List Removals. If you encounter the message "Unlisted reason" when viewing the details, it could be due to various factors, such as: The game no longer being available in EA Play, Sunset of the game, Payment issues, Problems with your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (XGPU) x EA Play connection (if you use this), Voluntary removal by the account holder or parent, Billing issues, Or self-removal of the game from the account when it was previously claimed via EA Play (a feature previously available in Origin for PC but not in the EA app). We hope this information clears up any confusion you may have. If you're still unsure why certain items were removed from your account, please don't hesitate to contact our Support team via EA Help by following https://help.ea.com/help/faq/using-ea-help. They'll help explain why those items got removed or tackle any other problems you're dealing with. Take care and game on! I'm a youth worker in charge of gaming. I tried setting up accounts for the 4 PCs we have, as we are buying FC26. Each on their own seperate email. all 4 got banned a day after creating the accounts, im guessing cause they thought we were bots or something because of how close togthether i made them. when i appealed it they said "After reviewing your case, we determined that we took the correct action in accordance with EA policies and procedures" despite me explaining we're setting up a youth centre's gaming space. help!! my boss will be mad if he's just bought 4 copies of FC we cant even use. i dont know what im gonna do, any advice appriciated. How can I make the accounts again? or speak to a human as the support site is useless and just gives me the same questions over and over.120Views0likes1CommentAdding my Adult Sister to my EA Family
I've spent more money on The Sims franchise than most people spend on rent. And I think I should be able to share what I paid for with my family; whether they're my children or not. I've been sharing my account with my sister for as long as I've been playing the Sims, but now if I don't want our game files mixing together, she needs her own account. Now, I'm in my 30's, and my sister is three years younger than me, which makes her unquestionably an adult. Now, I could lie and add her to the family by faking the year she was born, but there's only a five-year window before that stops working. And personally, I don't feel like having to check to make sure my sister's fake age is still within range for her to play my stuff. I've been trying to find a way to talk to an actual person through EA about this. I know that the company wants my sister to have to pay for each and every pack that she wants to play. But in my mind, why spend the money twice if someone in the family already owns what's being bought? I'm honestly willing to talk to whoever I need to in order for this to work in my favor. I'm not about to make my sister choose between college, her car, and a game. And I sure as heck can't afford to buy everything twice; I can barely afford to buy it once. So, how can I add my Adult Sister to my EA Family so I don't have to deal with this? I've heard through the grapevine that she has to "purchase" two games before we can sync. Does it have to be a purchase of a certain amount, or can I just download the base game and Grims Guitar and call it a day? Is this even true?SolvedMarySunshine231 month agoSeasoned Novice2.8KViews0likes3CommentsChanging my email
I realized recently that i had used my old school email when i made this account years ago on xbox and now that i'm trying to change it i can't access the verification code to verify the email. I still have access to the account and can play due to it being linked to my xbox account which means i can log in on pc and play but i still cant change the email. When i try to contact EA support i either get hit with a bot that doesn't have a solution to this or with the page saying that this issue is not supported by advisors even when i listed it as an account update issue. I'm at a dead-end and don't know what to do.63Views0likes0Comments
