Issue with EA Support
I have issues with EA support. I am an owner of a steam account. The account got hacked in the past and when it was hacked the hacker created an EA account with steam and linked the steam to it... Because of that i cant currently play any EA games due to itself needing verification. EA Support is so broken they just dont understand that i dont have access to the account, i cannot verify myself or anything. I just NEEED my steam to be unlinked from the EA account. I dont need the account i dont care about it.. They just wont let me do it. they want to verify me with some kind of console which i dont have and things around that. Please if any EA Staff, or anyone knows how to do this please let me know... ThanksKokotePindo1 day agoNewcomer22Views0likes0CommentsPotential problems setting up EA App on fresh/upgraded Windows 11.
Hello, This is not a problem, but to avoid any potential hiccups I wonder if anyone has any thing particular to watch out for below: New Windows 11 pro (fresh not upgrade) on my PC. Was Windows 10. Local account only. PC name change. Drive letters and owerships (in security tab) changed to remove unknow user, which was my old W10 account. Hardware - all the same. EA app NOT installed yet. So I own a lot of EA games, but have approx 8 or 10 full games already installed left over on non-system disk after using a brand new SSD for only my C: System drive. Those games of course cannot be played without the EA App full setup. I would prefer not to have to re-download them. All game files are there. All purchased directly through EA App, no linking. EA account has not been changed at all as my details have not changed. (just drive letter, ownership and OS) I assume it should go smoothly. It was a doddle on Steam without any guide. EA tend to have seizures during such operations, occasionally, although I have never experienced any issue with the EA APP itself or the old Origin, years ago. (I may be the only person who likes the EA App? just judging by posts. Heh Heh.) So, I know I will have to do all the normal stuff, and fully expect it to be an intuitive step by step process, as it should be. This post is just incase there are any known issues with doing all this. The last time I installed the EA APP was when it was first released, on the same PC as now, but W10. Never had any issuses. Specs, not really necessary, but just incase: HW: RTX 3080ti ROG strix gaming OC. CPU i9-9900ks @ 5.21GHz. 32 GB DDR4 @ 3,700Mhz. All SATA SSDs. It's an overclocked system but very stable so that should make no difference at - all. Summary: If anyone wishes to advise me on potential problems, it would be great. I want to be prepared and do it all in one go. I'll install the EA APP in a couple of days, so if no one replies I'll take that as a good sign. If anyone points out particular potential issues, of course I will like the post. Cheers folks.SolvedGawgPorkChop1 day agoSeasoned Veteran21Views0likes3CommentsWin 11 - EA App opening itself
Sometimes, when I'm doing something entirely unrelated, the app will decide to open itself for no reason. Even when I have SPECIFICALLY right-clicked on the icon in the Notification Area and told it to Exit. It'll just decide to open itself a few minutes later, over the top of whatever I'm doing. This isn't it launching on startup (it's not even in the "startup apps" section of Task Manager, and Run On Startup is disabled in the options), this isn't it auto-updating games (there are no updates available, that's why I launched it the first time, and then closed it) (and also "continue updates when the app is closed" is disabled), it doesn't seem to be updating the app itself (again, it was open less than an hour ago with no indication of updates). It's not caused by me opening Ubisoft or Xbox app, and them subsequently opening the EA App because they're linked. It's not caused by me opening a game I own on the EA App. I'm testing a possible solution of disabling "Install updates automatically" in the Application settings tab. I've heard a possible solution of disabling EABackgroundServices in msconfig, but I'd really rather avoid touching anything in there, if possible. But why on earth is it launching itself, in front of everything, without me touching the icon?6Views0likes0CommentsBring The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth to Steam
Hello EA, I would like to request that you consider bringing The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth, The Battle for Middle-earth II, and The Rise of the Witch-king to Steam. These games remain some of the most beloved RTS titles ever made, and there is still a large community that wants to purchase and play them legally on modern PCs. If possible, it would be amazing to see them re-released or even remastered with Steam support. Thank you for considering this request.43848352 days agoRising Newcomer20Views0likes0CommentsCan't use my Steam purchases after recovering my hacked EA account
Hello everyone, I would like to share my situation because I believe there is a gap in the current account linking policy that affects legitimate players. A while ago, my PC was infected with malware. As a result, several of my online accounts were compromised, including my EA account, Instagram, Discord, and Ubisoft accounts. The attacker gained access to my EA account without my permission. During that time, they used my account for activities that violated the EA User Agreement, resulting in a permanent ban. Later, I contacted EA Support and successfully recovered my EA account after proving that I was the legitimate owner. I understand that the Terms of Service team reviewed my appeal and decided that the ban would remain. While I am disappointed, I respect that decision. However, my issue today is not about removing the ban. My Steam account is still permanently linked to that banned EA account. Because of the permanent ban, the Connections page is locked, meaning I cannot unlink my Steam account myself. I contacted EA Support again and asked if they could simply unlink my Steam account so I could connect it to my current EA account. Unfortunately, I was informed that this is against EA policy because unlinking the Steam account could be considered bypassing the relationship between the banned EA account and the linked platform account. This leaves me in a situation where I cannot use EA games that I legally purchased on my own Steam account, including EA SPORTS FC 26, even though: I recovered my EA account through EA Support. I am the legitimate owner of both my Steam account and my current EA account. I am not asking for the permanent ban to be removed. I am not trying to bypass the Terms of Service decision. I simply want to use the games I legally purchased on Steam with my active EA account. I completely understand the importance of protecting fair play and enforcing EA's policies against cheating and account abuse. However, I respectfully believe that situations involving verified account recovery after account compromise deserve a separate review process. Currently, there appears to be no solution for players in this situation. Even after recovering ownership of the account, legitimate purchases remain permanently inaccessible because the linked Steam account cannot be moved. I hope EA will consider reviewing this policy in the future, especially for verified account compromise cases where ownership has already been confirmed by EA Support. Thank you for taking the time to read my experience.spiyks314 days agoSeasoned Newcomer46Views0likes2CommentsNeed advisor help - can't changemail, old one inaccessible

I've looked at previous forums regarding this and it's outdated as the edit profile option is not there for me. Dear EA Support and Development Team,I am writing to request the addition of the Ukrainian language to the EA App interface and store. As a gamer from Ukraine, I want to purchase and play games in my native language. Currently, competitive platforms like Steam fully support the Ukrainian interface and currency, which makes them much more accessible and user-friendly.Unfortunately, the lack of Ukrainian localization in the EA App forces me to stop buying games on your platform. I prefer to support developers who respect and support my regional community. Please consider adding Ukrainian language support to the EA App in future updates. This step will definitely improve the experience for thousands of Ukrainian players and bring more customers to your store.Thank you for your time and understanding.Best regards,Vitaliy.37Views0likes1CommentEA lost my game and says I am SOL
I purchased Spore back in 2011 from Amazon. I entered the code in Origin and have played it off an on for years. fast forward to today, I download what is now the EA app (very disappointing) and Spore is no longer in my library. My addons for the game are still there but the base game is gone. I reach out to support who says there is nothing they can do and direct me to Amazon (LOL). I know it may seem crazy to try and recover a game that was 9 dollars 15 years ago but it is the principle. I purchased the game I should be able to play it permanently, a company shouldn't be able to purchase a company or migrate to a new launcher, lose a players game and tell them sorry, you are SOL. What realistically can I do in this situation to get the game back? I put the EA chat history down below for those that want to read it. Chat AAndrea joined • 12:23 PM Hello! A I was able to check your previous interaction, and it seems you’re having an issue with your purchase regarding Spore, correct? You mentioned that you purchased the game through Amazon. May I kindly ask if you can provide proof of purchase for this? Andrea • 12:30 PM I can provide an email from 2014, which was provided in the first case but in that case the chat representative asked for a code I found that code EPW6-NJDJ-****-****-**** Read • 12:31 PM Got it! One moment, please. A To confirm, you’re missing the base game, correct? Andrea • 12:34 PM yes, my add ons are still there only the base game disappeared Read • 12:35 PM A Thank you! I’ve also shared this with my team so we can further check it on our end. Please bear with us. Andrea • 12:37 PM okay thank you Read • 12:39 PM A You're very much welcome! How's your day going so far, anyway? Andrea • 12:39 PM it is good so far Read • 12:41 PM A That’s good to know. I just need a few more minutes to check your case, and I’ll let you know once we have an update. Andrea • 12:41 PM okay take your time, thank you Read • 12:42 PM A I appreciate your patience while I check this for you. For this case, since the game was purchased through Amazon, you’ll need to reach out to the retailer directly, as we’re unable to provide or grant the content on the account from our end. Andrea • 12:44 PM this is a game that was purchased back in 2011 the game was in my library before it migrated to from origin to EA can you guys not see the account the code was tied to? its literally hosted on your platform amazon has no insight into your platform Read • 12:45 PM A I understand that, however since the purchase was made through Amazon, we need to refer your case back to them for further assistance. As much as I would like to help you further, I hope you understand that we have specific processes and policies we must follow, and we’re only able to assist with certain actions on our end. For this reason, the retailer will be in the best position to review and resolve your purchase concern. Andrea • 12:45 PM the issue isn't with the purchase, it is with your team losing the game when you took over origin Read • 12:47 PM A I hope you can see how sincere I’ve been in trying to help you through this process. Please know this isn’t the kind of experience we want you to have. However, since the purchase was made through Amazon, we follow a specific process for cases like this and will need to direct you to contact the merchant for further assistance. I sincerely apologize for the trouble this has caused. Andrea • 12:49 PM what is Amazon going to do? they don't have the access to restore games that were in my launcher? it makes absolutely no sense your team is passing the buck because you don't want to deal with the issue you created can I escalate to a manager? Read • 12:52 PM A I'm sorry but there isn’t an option to escalate your case further, as we need to follow our internal process for this type of concern. As mentioned earlier, this case will need to be referred to Amazon, as they are the merchant where the game was purchased. Since the issue is related to your game purchase, it would be best to contact the retailer directly for further assistance. Andrea • 12:54 PM the issue is not related to my purchase the issue is the game code has already been applied to this origina ccount that is now EA the issue is on your side not amazon Read • 12:55 PM A I believe I’ve provided all the information needed to support you with this case, and as much as I’d love to help you further, we’ve gone through every possible step, and unfortunately, the outcome remains the same. Please know this isn’t the kind of experience we want you to have. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day, and thank you for reaching out to EA Help.
