Unable to link steam as its already apparently linked...
Hi all, im trying to link my steam to my ea as ive redownlaoded pga tour and want to carry on playing with my current progress however when i launch the game and get prompted to login/link accounts, it tells me that my account is already linked to a different steam account and I must wait 365 days before unlinking. when logging into ea app to check said linked account it shows that no steam account is linked and gives me the option to link one, however when i try to link it through the website i still get the same error. both screenshots attached below of the connected accounts page showing no steam being linked and then another screenshot showing the error message im getting. contacted support multiple times to no avail so hoping the community can help. I have raised a case however thats been useless too.......12Views0likes0CommentsGame removed from library, EA not willing to restore it
I've had Spore in my library since almost the day of the release years ago. I purchased the physical edition and redeemed the codes in the back of the manual. Today, years later, I wanted to replay it, but to my surprise the game is gone from my library. Searching it everywhere I ended up in the EA store, which to my greater surprise again, it says that I still own the DLCs, but not the base game. Contacted support via chat, and told me that since the game was purchased in the physical edition they cannot do anything and the only thing I can do is to ask for a replacement on the original store (sounds like a joke honestly, is not the store fault and Spore is not sold anymore and I purchased it 16 years ago) or to buy it again from the EA store. I know is cheap but please this feels like a scam, is there anything else I can do?33Views2likes1CommentDetect Game External SSD?
I have to spend more than 6 hours re downloading an entire game on the EA app, if I want to play it on a different computer. I have installed it on my external USB SSD, but on the new computer, it doesn't detect the game, even if I set the installation folder to the external ssd ea folder. I tried to name my game folder to "backup". Then I start a fresh download via EA app. I pause it and close EA entirely. I transfer my game files to the new EA app created folder. And then start EA. And redownload it and hope it detect the files, but no... it does the same thing. it ignores the files in the folder, and just redownloads everything. In the past there was a repair function, but even that is gone now. And I recall that repair took a long time aswell. Is there any way at all to not have to spent more than 6 hours to download a game every time I want to play my EA app games on a different computer? Hello, I am having activation issues with older EA games that I legally own on CD with valid serial numbers. These games were originally registered through Origin and now appear in my EA app library. I can download and install them, but when I launch them, an old EA activation window appears and says my computer is offline and needs an Internet connection, even though I am online. One example is FIFA 12 for PC, but the same issue is happening with other older EA games on my account. I have already tried repair, administrator mode, compatibility mode, and checking firewall/antivirus settings, but nothing worked. Please check whether these games can still be activated through the EA app and whether my licenses are correctly linked to my EA account. Thank you.45Views0likes1CommentCan't log in to EA APP with Origin account
When I try to log into the EA App using the same login as I used for EA Browser, my account does not exist on the EA APP and recovery is not working in the browser. I've had Origin since 2013 and I had a multitude of Sims 3 games and a few Sims 4 games on there. I had the urge to log in and play a bit, but as per title, my Origin login credentials are not working for the EA app, but they work for the browser. I have tried over and over again to recover the account by using the EA ID, Steam account Link, email, etc, with no luck. It says something like "EA ID does not exist" when i try or "please put real steam id" etc. I have tried too many times, and now it's not letting me use anything at all to attempt to log in. I would like to know how to fix this, thank you.BigChik3n9 days agoRising Newcomer68Views0likes1CommentGames missing from my EA library
I had Crysis 2 standard edition, which I bought on a physical disc. Then I bought Crysis 2 Maximum edition in EA Store years ago. So I had 2 separate copies in my library: one from retail, one from digital store. Almost the same story with the NFS Most Wanted 2012 (here I first bought digital standard edition, then bought retail Limited Edition). Also I had Star Wars The Old Republic in my library in which I spent hundreds of hours and dollars. I also had Battlefield 2 Complete Edition, but now it shows, that I only have Special Forces DLC So effectively EA stole 3.75 games from me. I get, that they merged Crysis 2 and NFS Most Wanted. But they did that without my consent. I paid twice for them, so I think I'm eligible for either refund or a key for copies, that they took away from me. Steam never steal or merge anything. There I have for example Fallout 3 with all the DLC and Fallout 3 GOTY edition. No merging [CM - Edited title for clarity]Solved61Views0likes1CommentEA app doesn't launch

Hi all! I have not yet transitioned to the new EA app because my very old computer’s OS is not compatible (even after updating). I had a Mac but am considering buying a PC this time around for gaming. Will my games still transfer? I understand the files won’t but I’m okay with starting from scratch if I can do it on a newer computer. TIA!Goldfishyo_9321 days agoRising Newcomer46Views0likes0CommentsChanging my email
I realized recently that i had used my old school email when i made this account years ago on xbox and now that i'm trying to change it i can't access the verification code to verify the email. I still have access to the account and can play due to it being linked to my xbox account which means i can log in on pc and play but i still cant change the email. When i try to contact EA support i either get hit with a bot that doesn't have a solution to this or with the page saying that this issue is not supported by advisors even when i listed it as an account update issue. I'm at a dead-end and don't know what to do.63Views0likes0CommentsHow to set up mulitple PCs without Ban?
I'm a youth worker in charge of gaming. I tried setting up accounts for the 4 PCs we have, as we are buying FC26. Each on their own seperate email. all 4 got banned a day after creating the accounts, im guessing cause they thought we were bots or something because of how close togthether i made them. when i appealed it they said "After reviewing your case, we determined that we took the correct action in accordance with EA policies and procedures" despite me explaining we're setting up a youth centre's gaming space. help!! my boss will be mad if he's just bought 4 copies of FC we cant even use. i dont know what im gonna do, any advice appriciated. How can I make the accounts again? or speak to a human as the support site is useless and just gives me the same questions over and over.126Views0likes1CommentEA App "Open on startup" toggle broken; no entry in Task Manager
Bug Report Form Application: EA App (Desktop Client) Platform: Windows 10 / Windows 11 Component: Application Settings → Startup Behavior Severity: High (User control violation, unintended persistence) Status: Unresolved Description: The "Open on startup" toggle switch within the Application Settings interface is non-functional. When the user attempts to disable the setting, the toggle either reverts to the "enabled" state immediately upon leaving the settings menu or fails to prevent the EA App from launching automatically after system reboot or user logon. Expected Behavior: Disabling the "Open on startup" option should prevent the EA App from launching automatically during system startup. The setting should persist across application restarts and system reboots. Actual Behavior: • The toggle appears interactive but produces no persistent effect. • The EA App continues to launch on startup regardless of the setting state. • No corresponding entry exists in Windows Task Manager → Startup tab to manually disable the behavior. • Setting the "EA Background Service" in services.msc to Manual or Disabled does not resolve the issue; the application circumvents this control. • The application re-initializes startup persistence mechanisms without user consent. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install EA App. 2. Launch EA App. 3. Navigate to Settings → Application. 4. Locate the "Open on startup" toggle. 5. Set the toggle to the off (disabled) position. 6. Close the settings window and exit EA App completely. 7. Restart the system or log out and log back in. 8. Observe that EA App launches automatically despite the setting being disabled. Troubleshooting Performed: • Uninstalled EA App completely. • Restarted the system. • Reinstalled EA App fresh. • Repeated the steps above. • Issue persists after clean installation. Additional Context: The application exhibits behavior consistent with unauthorized persistence mechanisms commonly associated with unwanted software. Specifically: • The startup setting cannot be modified through standard user-accessible controls. • The application bypasses Windows-native startup management tools (Task Manager Startup tab). • The application ignores service-level configuration changes intended to limit background execution. This lack of user control over application behavior raises significant usability and compliance concerns, particularly regarding system resource management and user consent under standard software transparency expectations. Suggested Fix: • Restore functionality to the "Open on startup" toggle to reliably enable or disable automatic launch behavior. • Ensure the setting respects Windows Startup API standards, registering or deregistering a startup entry in the appropriate registry path or shell startup folder. • Remove any undocumented or override mechanisms that re-enable startup behavior without explicit user authorization. System Information: • OS: Windows 11 Pro (25H2) • EA App Version: 13.661.0.6174 (106694-85bc9572a9) • Account Type: Local Administrator000359071 month agoNew Rookie52Views1like0CommentsOffline play?
