Ea Play games in the Xbox Gamepass (PC) should give players Xbox Achievements
Hello! So yesterday in PC (March 18th 2021) a lot of EA Play Games were added to the Xbox Gamepass Ultimate library, that was awesome and we loved it. But, believe it or not, achievements are very important for gamers (at least in the platform they use the most, in which they should have all their achievements). And the sad thing about yesterday is that not a single game that was added has Xbox achievements in PC, but they do have achievements in Xbox consoles. Could this please possibly be worked on for a future update so also PC has Xbox achievements? This was done in steam a few months ago (source: https://store.steampowered.com/news/group/36135791/view/4081904627757326159 ) so it should be possible to do it again in the Gamepass, right? Also, this question was asked in 2019 and I'm posting it again cause the original one was never answered and it was closed so people can't participate in it anymore. Hello everyone, I wanted to share a small amount of info about EA Play that might help you out and answer some common questions. I will keep this updated and add more info as time goes by if necessary. What is EA Play? EA Play is a subscription service that offers you the ultimate game destination for anyone who loves EA titles. Membership gives you more of your favorite Electronic Arts games – more rewards, more exclusive trials, and more discounts. What is included with EA play? Unlock exclusive challenges and rewards, member-only content, early trials of new releases, and access to a library of top titles. Play select new-release games for up to 10 hours even before they launch. Get more to play with unlimited access to a collection of Electronic Arts fan-favorite series and top titles. Save 10% on all EA digital purchases on Consoles including game downloads, Season Passes, points packs, and DLC. You can view the full list of playable games available with EA Play for your console here: Xbox, Playstation. If I play an EA Play early access game trial will my progress carry over? Yep, all your progress will carry over, so you can pick up where you left off if you decide to purchase the game. Will I have to purchase the game once the trial period is over to continue playing? When your trial expires you will need to purchase the full game to continue playing on the release date, although some titles will offer early access if pre-ordered. Is EA Play cross-platform? No, unfortunately EA play requires a separate subscription for each of the following platforms Playstation Xbox Origin - PC Steam - PC Can Steam and Origin players play together? Yes. Whilst both are still separate platforms and require separate subscriptions they do get the ability to play together. How do I access my EA Play games? You can access all available EA Play games for your console by downloading and using the EA Play Hub App, free to download from the store. Alternatively you can download the games directly from the store. For PC players you can access the games through the Origin or Steam Client. What is the cost of EA Play? EA Play is just $4.99/£3.99 a month or $29.99/£19.99 for a full year. How do I subscribe to EA Play? You can sign up through the EA Play website here or by using your console explained below. Playstation Find the EA Play console app on the PlayStation Store On your PlayStation 4, go to the PlayStation™ Store. Search for EA Play. Install and launch the EA Play Hub app. Sign up for EA Play in the app Launch EA Play on your PlayStation 4. Click Sign Up Now. Select either a monthly or yearly membership. Continue to the next page to pay and finish signing up. Xbox Find the EA Play console app on the Xbox One Store Select the Store tab on the Xbox One home screen. Select Apps. Search for EA Play. Continue to the next page to pay and finish signing up. Can I sign up to EA Play Pro on console? I'm afraid not, EA Play Pro is exclusive to Origin on PC only. Can I cancel my EA Play membership? Yes of course, just remember if you cancel your membership, you’ll keep your game progress (as long as you don’t manually delete your save files) and all earned Trophies/Achievements. However, you can’t continue playing the games you’ve downloaded unless you buy them or reactivate your membership. When you reactivate your membership or buy the games, you can pick up right where you left off the next time you play. Once you cancel your membership, you will keep your membership benefits until the end of your membership period. In the navigation panel on the left-hand side, click on Subscription. Next to Membership, click Cancel Membership. Playstation From your PlayStation 4, navigate to [Settings] > [Account Management] > [Account Information] > [PlayStation Subscriptions]. Select the EA Play membership you want to cancel. Select Turn Off Auto-Renewal. Xbox Log in to account.microsoft.com. Click Services & subscriptions. Click Payment & billing under EA Play. What happened to EA Access & Origin Access? They just got a name change, now they’re EA Play and EA Play Pro. You still have access to all the great games and benefits as an EA Access, Origin Access Basic, or Origin Access Premier member. I have purchased the EA membership for PC, and it is supposed to give me the XP boost for the current season, but I still don't know how I receive it. Is it like I receive in the end of the season or is it always active, and if so, how do I know it is active? Also , the last season I had the membership active and I don't even know if I received the XP Boost.

When the EA Play member benefit unlocks for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members, users who have both Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play purchased through the Microsoft Store will have their EA Play membership canceled and any remaining time over 50 days will be rounded up and converted to the nearest month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at a ratio of 3:1. For example, if you have between 50 days and 3 months of EA Play already on your account when EA Play comes to Ultimate, you will have 1 month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate added to your account. If you have between 4 months and 6 months of EA Play already on your account when EA Play comes to Ultimate, you will have 2 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate added to your account. What happens if I have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, but I only want EA Play? You can cancel your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription at any time and then sign up for EA Play. To cancel your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, sign in at account.microsoft.com/services. Under Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, select Payment & billing, then Cancel. You’ll have an option to end your subscription on its expiration date. Depending on your subscription’s status, you may also have an option to end it immediately with a refund of the price you paid for Ultimate only. The upgrade of any prepaid time can’t be reverted to Xbox Live Gold or other Xbox Game Pass plans and is not eligible for refund. Do Family settings apply to EA Play? Family Settings such as screen time limits, content filters, and adult purchase approval apply to both Xbox One and Windows 10. Xbox Game Pass vs EA account disaster
Hear me out and let me know if I'm being unreasonable here. I have a long running EA account (like 7 years with countless games bought etc) that at some point, several years ago, I linked to a temporary Xbox gamertag that I used briefly for Xbox 360. Never used that Xbox gamertag again. Probably just for one game or something cause I had a borrowed Xbox 360. I didn't even remember I had that gamertag linked to my EA account. Fast forward to today. I now have a proper, also long running, Xbox account on my PC, with Game Pass Ultimate, linked to my Microsoft account, Office, PC login, Onedrive all of it. I want to use EA Play (officially launched yesterday) with my Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on PC. But I cannot. Because my EA account, log in to which is required to use EA Play via Xbox Game Pass, was previously linked to currently unrelated, obsolete and forgotten Xbox gamertag back in 2014, under another email address. So that means that I cannot take advantage of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate with EA Play on my PC because eons ago I had it linked to some old Xbox gamertag. Does that make sense? I contacted support and the person was like a broken record - "you can only have one Xbox gamertag linked to EA account in its lifetime". But why? I mean seriously - why can support not break the link and allow another Xbox gamertag? Delete the that old Xbox gamertag data for all I care. My goodness. What a disaster. I know I can create a new EA account and play my EA games via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate but I already have a blooming EA account and want to keep progress and achievements of loads of games I played using my current EA account using EA Play subscriptions on Origin in the past. Hey all, we are aware that some users accessing EA Play through Xbox Game Pass are experiencing issues where they are unable to download or access EA Play games. The team is aware of the issue and investigating. In the meantime, if you are an EA Play member through Xbox Game Pass and running into this issue then the team recommends uninstalling EA Desktop from your system and then when next launching the Xbox App allow it to download and install EA Desktop. Once done you should be able to access your EA Play games through the EA Desktop. Thanks for your patience and we will update you with further information as we get it. Darko

Hi, I’m having trouble playing any EA Play game through Xbox Game Pass. Every time I try to launch a game, it redirects me to EA Play and asks me to purchase the full version. My EA account is correctly linked to my Xbox account, and my Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription is active. I’ve already tried restarting the apps, uninstalling and reinstalling EA Play and Xbox, but the issue persists. Has anyone experienced this before and knows how to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
No C&C The Ultimate Collection on EA Play with Xbox GamePass Ultimate
Hi, I use EA Play with Xbox GamePass Ultimate via EA Desktop on PC. Problem: Command & Conquer The Ultimate Collection is not availble. Can not find it via Xbox app and the EA Desktop app. Strange thing is: Command & Conquer The Ultimate Collection is availble in the normal EA Play Subscription (without Xbox Gamepass) But both are called "EA Play", so it's the same "subscription" but it's not? I really want to play the games which are included in Command & Conquer The Ultimate Collection, but I can not. I'm not gonna pay €4 /month for EA Play seperatly only for C&C games.
