Any Point in Registering Older Games?
For Christmas, I received a CD-ROM of SimCoaster (published as Theme Park Inc. outside the United States), a game I remember playing when I was little at my grandparents' house. After installing, it asks me to register it electronically to receive technical support. I was wondering if there was still a point to this (or if it would even work) given the age of the game and the lack of digital distribution.
Letter to SimCity BuildIt
Dear SimCity BuildIt development team , I am a Nepalese Australian player and would like to request the addition of a left-hand traffic option in SimCity BuildIt. Countries such as Nepal, Bangladesh, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Australia, and Pakistan use left-hand traffic. They have more people than Europe, China and the US combined ! I am trying to create a Nepal inspired city and I really want left-hand drive so I can make it realistic. Millions of people want this. There are also no Mandirs ( Hindu Temples). I use other buildings for cultural representation. Without left-hand traffic and Mandirs the overall flow of the city feels less authentic Adding an optional toggle for players to switch between left-hand traffic and right-hand traffic would greatly improve realism and creative freedom for players designing real life cities. C&C Remastered: Red Alert will not launch games from the game lobby. We haven't been able to play for about 2 weeks now. Can someone at EA please give us some information on why the game won't launch?!?!?! When the host launches the match - NOTHING HAPPENS!
Dear Anthem...
A letter from a simple player.. I know many have accepted that it will cease to function in January of next year, but I haven't. This was something I needed to write and resubmit in this category.. not just as a player, but as someone who feels deeply about to this world I feel like talking about Anthem, from my own experience with it, from what it makes me feel. From the most sincere part of myself Knowing that its servers will shut down on January 12, 2026, has undoubtedly created a kind of pain in my soul, a pain that is hard to process, hard to accept…... Not because it will end... But because of what this magnificent video game could have been I know that EA and BioWare see anthem as a game that didn’t meet the expectations that were set........ But for some of us.... Anthem was not just a game, it was art in its purest form.....It is sad to know that such a living world, so well crafted, so vast, will be permanently shut down… after so many experiences… this is truly heartbreaking. It hurts to know that it will disappear... not just because of its world, but because of the small details that made me feel like I was really there… I’ll miss the sound of the southern lapwings and the parrots that flew over Fort Tarsis, the feeling of walking through the markets, the sunset, the daylight,, the landscapes that truly looked like they were pulled out of a dream...... I know not many saw, or understood, the art in anthem, But some of us did. And when that world shuts down, a part of our own stories will fade with it. ...It’s very sad to accept that it will vanish as if it never existed... And you know....... Anthem...... Anthem, to me, is not just a game... To me, it’s a reflection of something deeper: a promise that once seemed enormous, with a beautiful world full of potential, but that ended up being rejected and forgotten by a large part of the gaming community... And that's where I feel that in this abandonment, something speaks to me personally... because sometimes, in life, you also feel like that: with big dreams, with a desire to shine, but for different reasons, they don’t come true or are left in the background…... .. That’s why losing Anthem hurts more than losing just a game to me — to me… and to many, it’s like losing a symbol, a part of hope and beauty that walked alongside me, and for that reason, I don’t want it to disappear in silence, because I know that for many like me, Anthem is... art, is emotion, is a living world that deserves a proper, heartfelt ending, dear Electronic Arts and BioWare. “You’re not truly gone when you leave — only when you’re forgotten” Thank you for reading, I hope you’re all doing well and having a good day – Astor Mendez (If my letter contains grammatical errors, I apologize; it was originally written in Basque, my English is irregular)
Anthem - Offline mode instead
Leading off that I understand no longer maintaining Anthem since it isn't the most popular game in the EA library and hasn't received and update in years, but that doesn't mean the entire game should be shut down and made unavailable. Players have paid for the game, have supported it when it had gone back into redevelopment to become a single player RPG (that IMO it should've been to begin with) and still play after that was scrapped. To shut down and completely remove a game people have put money into (especially without refunds) is a worrying and dangerous precedent that the gaming community is facing, and should be pushed back on. If you bought a game you should be able to play it, even if it's old, even if it's not being updated anymore, you paid for it therefor it should be available to play just like any game you bought a disk or cartridge for. With EA's push for live service games and reliance on online servers to play many single player games, something like this shows a worrying future for games like dragon age (DAI's keep being the only way to import the worldstate) and mass effect (why do you have to be online to access the DLC??) and many other EA games. One day those servers will be shuttered for one reason or another, but that shouldn't lock people out of playing the games they love. So all I ask, is please push a final patch that removes the online aspects for Anthem, to make it offline only, remove the lobby, let players go out into the field solo without connecting to the servers, let players who still play continue to do so and retain the option so future players can check out the game even though it's no longer supported.Feedback on design limitations in SimCity BuildIt
Dear SimCity development team, I am providing professional response regarding design limitations in SimCity BuildIt. I am trying to make a Nepal inspired city, which has revealed important gaps in realism and cultural representation. To begin with the game only supports right hand drive. Nepal along with many other countries like India, and Australia use left-hand drive, making accurate city design impossible. Traffic orientation is a basic element of urban planning, and should be optional in a city building game played by people all around the world. Additionally, churches, mosques, and Buddhist temples are available , temples from the third largest religion , Hinduism are not. Hinduism is a central part of Nepal's cultural identity, and its absence limits authentic representation. I purchased Mystery P.I.-The Curious Case of Counterfeit Cove. After downloading the game, the cursor locking the the top left. I never could move it to click on anything. I closed the app, and then reloaded it. The same result. I deleted the game and asked for a refund. I was told to wait 48 hours before I would receive a reply. So, I am waiting for the reply. I do not know if others have had the same issue, but I enjoy the Mystery P.I. games (Missing Lottery Ticket, New York, etc.), and this game was a disappointment.
Anthem game refund
Alright, I'm gonna say my piece after hearing the news. Just recently, and not getting informed. Whatsoever through email that the game servers are being shut down, this will make the game completely unplayable.Considering there is no offline mode that was added to the game at all... I think electronic arts should issue either a full refund for everybody who spent money for the game Itself and any other transactions or issue, a credit that would be usable either on playstation or xbox or whatever system you bought anthem on to buy another electronic arts game of your choice... I mean, I spent, I think full price when it first came out And I played and enjoyed quite a bit of it but i've also made comments to several support staff about the game and giving them Feedback I had no clue until recently. Honestly, that anthem was just an online game only. I thought there was gonna be a offline mode that was later going to be added or already had been added... i bought the game with the intention to be able to pick up and play considering that there are plenty of non playable characters in the game itself... I'm hoping that there are others here.That feel the same way that I do... I gave them income for a game to keep in my library and yes it's a physical addition. I think I should either have the right to play it offline or receive a refund for the complete game that I paid for since the game is going to be completely unplayable.Harry Potter prisoners of azkban
Unable to play harry potter prisoners of Azakban in my core i7-7th generation but whenever I try to open the game but a black windows shows and then nothing happen on the other hand the game running properly on Windows 7, Dell Core i5-5th Generation. then why this is not working on my laptop.
UFC 3 doesn't work even offline
The UFC 3 in Playstation 4 simply doesn't work. It is said that the Online servers are down but the post said that the offline features were working. And they were, for a bit. A few months back, the game was working completely fine. But suddenly, when I go open it, it doesn't even start. It doesn't even show the starting menu. What should I do? Nobody helps me. This is Playstation 4, so I guess there's no way to get a refund.Garden Warfare 2 missing character upgrade
So I unlocked the ammo upgrade for Z7 imp and when I left the multiplayer match after it finished my levels went down. I checked to see if the upgrade was still there and it was. I tried to take it off and apply it again and it went away, I grinded to get the levels back to see if I can unlock it again and it wont come back. What am I supposed to do? Am I just not able to obtain it anymore? Any possible fixes for this bug?Garden warfare 2 crashes
It keeps normal before I try the multi-player mode. However, after I picked the character and walk for a few seconds, the app must crash for unknown reason. This is so sad (the game is boring if I cannot play with others) (btw I had got some crash dump, but they are dmp files and idk how to handle them)
BF1 Dissappeared from Game Library
Hello, I have been playing BF1 regularly for years. Today, after trying to log on I was unable to get online. I closed the game and tried to re-open it, only to be told that my game ownership was disabled or deleted. When I restarted the app the game was no longer in my library. It is still downloaded on my system however. There doesn't seem to be anything about this online in regards to a solution. Could someone help? My friends and I recently installed this game to get some nostalgia play time together. The problem is every time I go to host a multiplayer game on Steam they are able to join my lobby but we cannot connect to the servers to host it. Is there any way I can host the game off my own internet?CAN log into Spore.com, CANNOT log into Spore game
I have an infuriating situation. I am able to login to ea.com and spore.com perfectly fine. I cannot, for the life of me, login to the Spore game. I am using the same email address and password. I've double and triple-checked the password (okay, it's copy-pasted). I can't even register with the email address and username because (obviously) the email address and username are in use - by me (or my sweevil twin ). I have contacted support twice (thrice, maybe even?) over this, and no one can seem to help me. I have been sent password reset after password reset. I have repaired the game. I have restarted my PC over and over again. I have done everything but sacrifice my first-born to the sun god - and that's only because I don't have one. When I try to click the "recover login information" option from within the game and enter my email address in the browser, I receive an error message. No matter what browser I open the link in. Some probably useful information: I have recently changed the email address to my account and I also haven't logged in since (checks achievements) 2016. Before that, it was 2009 since I was regularly playing the game. It was a long smoke break. Okay, I don't smoke. But it had been a long while since I played. I'm not sure if either of those pieces of information is relevant, but there they are. I told the last rep this information. I have spoken to 3 different reps over the course of the last 4 months. No one has been able to figure it out, only tell me the same exact same troubleshooting steps and that they are "escalating" the issue and then I never hear back from anyone. I'm raging past the point of Karen and into Linda territory on this one, can someone please help me out?
