Add "Limit sim appearing into other world" option!
As a long-time player, I am very sick seeing non-neighor sims appearing on other world. Appearing any sims on the festivals/events are fine, but appearing on normal days consantly? I think we should have an option: - Limit residents appearing on other world - or new reward Trait: "Love Staying Indoors" (restrict this sim appearing in other world) option, because: - The walk_by situation should limit sims within the world (for example, World X sims should appear only on World X and not Y) - And walk_by should not appear anything if there is no sims in neighbor at all - Limit Werewolf to Moonwood - Limit Fairies to Innisgreen You already have 2 options, so why not expand it?4Views0likes1CommentResizable walls, doors, windows, and sofas in terms of length, width and shapes?
Is it just me or does anyone else think that resizable doors, walls, windows and sofas in the Sims 4 should be implemented, right? I don't know about you guys, but that would definitely benefit me a lot in build mode. For example archways in the build mode. It would be better to have a resizable length so you can have the freedom on how long you want the archway to reach. Also, the walls where you can adjust its width would be so much better than just creating one tiled room to fill the gaps. The freedom to resize the windows and doors' length. Freedom to change sofas' shapes and sizes.EuGamer7772 hours agoSeasoned Newcomer6Views0likes0CommentsNO ADS on Title Screen until you fix the dim screen bug
I'm dead tired of opening the game, closing out ads (often for content I literally already own), and then getting a dim screen that requires restarting the game to close the ads out again.Intern_Waffle_645 hours agoSeasoned Veteran55Views3likes7CommentsLikes and dislikes need a big overhaul.
Currently it just feels like one of countless features that was added to sims 4 and instantly abandoned. On paper it sounds really great, but if it only provides a positive or negative moodlet but won't affect behaviour, what's the point? So what I suggest is the following: If sims dislike something, they will never do it unless you tell them to. They will also refuse to do it if other sims ask them to join in it, unless they have a really good relationship or they have traits that would make them do it. Though some traits could make them refuse no matter how good the relationship is. If they dislike music, they will automatically change it to music they like when entering the room, or will turn it off if they don't like any music. Traits could play a small role in it too. A hotheaded sim could get angry and break the stereo instead to make it stop, but a generous or otherwise more kind sim might leave the music on despite their dislike. If they dislike cooking they will only ever make quick meals, might get the desire to order food more often too. Won't automatically help sims who are cooking either. If sims like something however, they will prioritise doing that when they can, tending to their needs aside. Which could allow them to develop skills on their own instead of needing to be told if they like the activity. They could also get the want to do these things they like. Colours and decor styles can stay as meaningless as they are though, I don't see how that could be made of any use. However I would like to see food added as a new category. With so many meals in the game, it would be nice to give our sims preferences there. Foods they like they could make on their own more often unless they dislike cooking, and foods they dislike they won't make on their own and will dislike too if made to eat that. For vegetarians everything with meat could automatically be locked in disliked. Eating food sims like could also make them a little happier. Traits could play a part in this too, like a glutton could not be able to dislike food unless a vegetarian, then it's just the locked meat meals. But a high maintenance sim could often enough but not always get displeased with any food they don't actively like, and eating disliked food could affect both them and foodies more than other sims.22Views5likes2Comments[GTW] No linked option for Aliens between self and disguise
On other occults (vampires, fairies, mermaids, werewolves), there is the option to linked their non-transformation self with their transformed self. There is no option for Aliens in this way, which makes it very tedious if you want their Alien self and their disguise to wear the same outfits. Given that every other occult that this applies to has this option, it would be great to have this extended to Aliens.LyxaOmaris11 hours agoSeasoned Adventurer46Views4likes7Comments[EBN] Natural Living Skill Not Working Autonomously
I've encountered a bug or a major oversight by the Sims 4 team. My sim has maxed the natural living skill, but despite this, she won't autonomously summon a privy bush, sleep on the ground or eat harvestables to satisfy her needs even though she possesses the skill and necessary items. By default, she will continue to suffer without a toilet, bed or fridge. Why? This makes the skill obsolete. I bought Enchanted by Nature for the natural living skill alone, so this is very disappointing. So, have finished the event, but cannot claim the very last 'reward' as do not have enough points. No more quests, says thanks for playing. Guess since do not have all dlcs, did not 'earn' enough by doing all supposedly optional quests. If these quests are optional, then NOTHING should be locked behind them. Edit By Crinrict: Added Tag to Title, Adjusted Title to better reflect the issue.miskuski14 hours agoSeasoned Newcomer505Views12likes59CommentsSims 4 Ocean Exploration expansion pack [Aquariums, scuba diving and houseboats]
Underwater Diving areas There are underwater diving areas that Sims can explore and that are interactive and actually visible to the player. Players can find treasure chests, explore underwater caves or sunken shipwrecks, harvest seaweed and catch fish swimming around. The fish that have been caught can be brought to the surface and exhibited in an aquarium. There is a scuba diving skill. The higher the skill level, the longer a Sim can stay underwater and the less depressurizing time a Sim has. Aquarium There is an aquarium in town that you can stock with fish and other marine life like colorful sea slugs. These can be caught while scuba diving. There are giant aquarium tanks that you can stock with fish. There is an aquarium tunnel object that Sims can walk through, and it can be stocked with fish as well. Aquariums are a new type of community venue. There are saltwater tanks (with corals and rocks) and freshwater tanks (with kelp and wood branches) Houseboat Houseboats are a new type of home that Sims can live in. Houseboats are editable in Build Mode like a regular lot, except you can't add a basement. Whale watching There are whales jumping out of the ocean that you can go watch with your houseboat. You can offer paid whale watching tours or diving tours with your houseboat by clicking on the tourist information center. Driftwood furniture Collect driftwood at the beach and craft new driftwood furniture using the woodworking table from base game and Handiness skill. Expanded mermaids Mermaids should get their own skill tree like all other occults and more scary looking like Sirens. Sirens could also be a new type of occult. To expand Mermaids they should get… Aquatic ears New mermaid tails Seaweed hair Fish scale skin tone that makes the whole body have fish scales Barnacles on body Scaly arms and legs while on land Fin on head (instead of hair) Sims can become a Siren by getting bitten by a Siren. (Like vampires) Mermaids/ Sirens can drink blood like vampires, but don‘t need to More fish-like appearance Fish-like eyes Freezing abilities Stronger manipulation powers The Siren/ Mermaid skill tree Australian world The town is inspired by Australian beach towns like Airlie Beach in Australia. It consists of two marinas where houseboats are located. New collections Sea slugs: Verco's nudibranch Black-margined sea slug Leaf sea slug Clown nudibranch Orange side-gilled slug Chromodoris nudibranch New fishes Harvest edible seaweed Seaweed grows underwater and you can harvest it and eat it. Shipwreck Exploration There are underwater shipwrecks that you can explore, unlock doors by finding keys in storage chests, by being gifted keys from a local Sim etc. Metal debris blocks paths. Sims must use a sledgehammer to break through metal debris. Requires Fitness skill. Sharks live inside these shipwrecks and your Sim needs to hide from them.1.7KViews36likes49CommentsNeedy Pets
I assume this isn't a bug but more of a design flaw - so this seems the most relevant category in which to post. Has anyone else noticed how overly-needy pets are in the game? I'm specifically talking about cats and dogs. Even the ones with traits that should make them chill - like aloof and lazy and such. I can spend literally the whole day - 8+ hours - walking or training my pet, playing with, brushing, pampering, bathing, talking to, giving treats... and the instant my sim stops to feed themselves or bathe or do anything not pet-centric; suddenly my pet is depressed and mopes about and I get the notification that they are considering running away from neglect... WTF? What the actual F? I feel like pet AI should be refreshed/redesigned/touched up - whatever. Pets should not be this narcissistic. They should be at least slightly better at self-soothing and entertaining themselves. They should not require absolutely endless owner interaction. This is especially true with multiple pets - why are they not better at playing together or snuggling together - or just focusing more on each other and less constantly focusing on the human sims. While we're at it - could they actually be trained to use their pet beds? Not only are those things ugly and flat - they serve no purpose as no pets ever sleep on them. They will always choose human furniture instead. And can you blame them? When given the choice to nap on a piece of cardboard on the floor or a fluffy, comfy couch - there is no choice at all. While we are refreshing - new pet toys please. Perhaps part of the reason they are bored is because their only toys are balls and squeakers. How about plushies for pets? Chew ropes and rings? Rubber bones for dogs. How about wind-up mice toys for cats to chase? Also, as part of their AI refresh, might be nice to see them programed to occasionally do weird and random things... as animals do. But "random", "sporadic", and "occasional" seem to be foreign concepts in the world of sims; as most everything the AI does is in infuriatingly predictable and repetitive patterns. A cat couldn't do a backflip off the couch once in a blue moon. It would wind up doing the backflip 12 times a day every time it came near the couch.173Views4likes5Comments[Idea] Occult Stuff Pack
RoM, V, W , IP, L&D, EbN and GtW all have occults with limited occult specific CAS and Build/Buy. I'd love a stuff pack to flesh out and fill in the blanks for occults. Some of the occult CAS and Build/Buy are merely themed such as Victorian for Vampires and nature inspired for EbN for example. However, the occults themselves could have a larger range of occult specific themes. Add missing occult ability trees for Mermaids and Aliens. PlantSims be a permanent occult with an ability tree. More traits that would help occult synergy (Mystical, Disruptive and Macabre are the closest occult friendly traits, if you want to discount the basic Good/Evil traits) Lot traits that encourage each or every type of occult to visit and a trait disallow all occults! Feathered and bat wings for Fairies or even Vampires (but be great if it could be any occult). Missing single bed, fridge, stove, etc. for EbN nature theme. RoM's The Iron Counter needs a cabinet counterpart (drives me nuts I don't have matching cabinets for my favourite counter). Small appliances for various occults/themes. Non-plant/flower nature themed CAS and Build/Buy. Air, fire and water fairy themed attire and Build/Buy would be nice to have different elements Fairies. But these could also transcend to other occults such as Mermaids and Spellcasters. Something to do with Spellcaster extra talent points! If you are not going to add/update your packs where there is missing/wanted features CAS/Build/Buy. Just put it in a pack to expand the occult themes.18Views1like2CommentsDevelopers - omg STOP with the stupid Mischief skill
My sim was at the computer researching Natural Living. The split second he was done, he started to troll the forums. NO, no, no! I immediately stopped the action, but it was too late. Those few short seconds were all it took for him to acquire the mischief skill. Stop forcing this on players. It isn't mischief, it is evil bullying, plain and simple. I will go into cas.fulleditmode and make all my sims dislike Mischief. Doesn't matter, they do it anyway. Insulting other sims? Jeering at them? Yelling at them? I want to casually play a nice, calming game, and the "Bullying Skill" ruins it. :(Toki3Legs15 hours agoRising Scout38Views8likes2Comments[EBN] Enchanted by Nature is the first EP I've truly regretted purchasing.
Playing with a brand new Save in a brand new The Sims 4 folder. No mods. No CC. It's a beautiful World .... but: My game has crashed 4 times in 2 days. I rarely have a game crash. I can't repair my game because "We've paused the download because you don't own this title." The Balance and Luck systems overwhelms all other gameplay. The method for monitoring Balance and Luck is buried in the Simology tab. Making it difficult to keep tabs on whilst playing. Especially when playing with multiple Sims. Balance and Luck change dramatically, suddenly and inexplicably. E.G. My Sim is fine. Needs are fine. Suddenly he's not caught a fish and his luck is bad? His Balance has plummeted? And now he has some ailment he can't afford to cure so he has to abandon all else to go off in search of a cure. And my Sim hasn't even made it to becoming a Fairy. Sheesh. Back to my regular game. Looking to relax so I open up the household of my nice elderly retired Sim. Of course she's cooking. Of course she catches on fire. Plum. Bad Luck. Out of Balance. Argh. Turned it all off. I am not enchanted.365Views16likes20CommentsMelodic Voice is Broken
With the last update (Patch 1.116, July 1st), many of the lines for the Melodic Voice have been changed to a different one, but not nearly close to all. So the characters keep changing between voices all the time, which is inconsistent, distracting, and overall bad for our gameplay experience. Besides, the Melodic Voice as we know it has been with us for over ten years now, and not only have many of us grown used to it, it is an intrinsic part of the personality to many of our beloved characters. I for one don't want to see it retroactively changed, much less arbitrarily or carelessly. We understand that Voice Actors are human beings, and that a lot can happen in a decade. With the game still in active development, it is understandable that there might be a need for more lines to be added. But to replace lines that have already existed with us for a long time, whilst failing to add any new contexts, interaction options or new dialogues, whilst also not fully replacing all the voice over lines but to keep it in an inconsistent hybrid state, is simply detrimental to us users, and objectively undesirable. Please revert these changes as soon as possible, and let's find a better solution for the future regarding this, or a more satisfactory compromise if one needs to be reached.SolvedXDomina18 hours agoRising Scout1.4KViews4likes22CommentsMore Updates to past packs?
I've been thinking about stuff i would wish to see in past packs especially for packs that are worth far less than than their price. For example: A world for Seasons A single bed in EBN More infant BB/CAS/Gameplay in past packs aswell as more infant townies Same as above but for toddlers More business and club logos in B&H and GT Daycare career in Growing Together More pet stuff in C&D Update to Lifestyles More gameplay with ROM Familiars More gameplay with skeletons Off the grid options for Bust the Dust Mermaid and Alien Skill trees IL upper cabinets Summer Camp in Seasons These could be released gradually in SDX drops every few months along with base game ones. This would increase the sell rate of packs as they would seem more worth it and people would be happier with packs they already have. Could anyone reply with things they would like to see in past packs that wasn't been mentioned and I would love to see people's thoughts on this idea.91Views5likes3Comments[Suggestion] Base Game (and other) new swimming locations
It would be nice if Willow Creek, Oasis Spring, and Newcrest were updated by giving the opportunity to be able to swim in the water areas. For example in Willow Creek it could be the area near the museum, in Oasis Spring the lake in the Skyward Palms neighborhood, and in Newcrest the pond in Lllama Lagoon. Brindelton Bay could also be updated, giving the opportunity to swim in the waters of Cavalier Cove.2.7KViews21likes14CommentsNo more live events!
Nobody asked for this. Seriously. I'm sure the executives at EA love live events because they pump up login numbers, but they're terrible for the players: Inciting FOMO- being limited-time events with no other official way to unlock the content, players that can't/won't use mods miss out if they're not playing during the time an event is live. Forcing a specific playstyle- The appeal of The Sims has always been that it's your sandbox to do what you want in, but unless a player completely avoids opening the game in online mode, these events intrude upon gameplay without an opt-out. That was probably the thing that annoyed me most about Reaper's Rewards, having the event pop up in saves I didn't intend to play through it in. Forcing online play- The Sims 4 is a single-player game, therefore playing online should never be mandatory, let alone a requirement to get and keep content. Bugs, bugs, bugs- The Happy at Home content had to be handed out to everyone because so many people had trouble getting it in the intended manner; Answers HQ and social media were flooded for the duration of the event with reports of problems playing Reaper's Rewards and getting its loot. I don't trust that Cozy Celebrations is going to be any better in that regard. Seriously, bugs- The dev time and energy that's going into pushing this mobile-game-esque nonsense would be much better spent fixing major issues with the game, as the playerbase has been clamoring for for years and as EA has promised they were going to devote more time to. When I saw there was a patch today, I was hoping it would include some of those fixes. At the very least, it's unacceptable that trans bodies are still broken several months and several patches after that bug was introduced, despite EA/Maxis's lip service to depicting diverse Sims and a modder showing how easy it was to fix within a week of the patch. Please, EA. Save this nonsense for multiplayer games and/or Project Rene (since it doesn't sound like it's going to be a traditional Sims game anyway.) Sims 4 doesn't need it and the players don't want it. As for me, I may just keep my game totally offline until after the event so it doesn't interrupt my gameplay. Until the next FOMO-fest comes around, anyway...flying-womrats20 hours agoSeasoned Vanguard1.3KViews42likes74CommentsDoes the "For Rent" sign automatically attract tenants?
In the For Rent DLC, if I put a For Rent sign outside after setting everything up, will it automatically attract potential tenants? Or do I have to manually put people in via the menu? I would like to have a more realistic approach where potential tenants come to ask for a unit. Pretty much like how in the Discovering University DLC if you put up an ad for roommates they automatically come to your house, and you can accept them.FeartheGreat20 hours agoSeasoned Novice19Views0likes0CommentsClick to Age Up Chick Request
I would love it if we could get the option on chicks after one day to click and age them up, like with newborns. I play with aging off, so I'm not sure if this is a factor, but I have had regular chicks that eventually aged up. If I had the option at the age of one day to choose to age them up (like with newborns), this would be awesome. Thanks!336Views4likes4Comments
