South African Pack Idea
Walk with me, fellow Simmers… what are your thoughts? I've been playing The Sims since the very first game, and one thing that stands out to me is the lack of African representation. It’s surprising, considering how rich and diverse African culture is. My friends and I believe the developers might be scared or reluctant to authentically recreate African and African American culture in the game. Here are some beautiful ideas I’d love to see brought to life in The Sims! World: Gown Town (Cape Town Inspired) Step into the heart of South Africa with The Sims 4: Safari Nights! Add zoo animals and be able to build custom zoos and have the career of a zoo keeper! This will bring more creativity for the builders of sims4 and will give sims more activities such as interact with animals such as feeing the, patting them, maybe monkeys could steal stuff out of sims inventory, or their food if they are eating them. plus the sims with the zoo keeper career will be able to look after the animals, clean its enclosure, feed it, nurse it, breed them, play with the and more...... I think it would be a great addition to the sims4322Views8likes7CommentsSports pack ideas

1. Heterochromia Since cats and dogs have this option, we know it is possible. 2. Mermaids Mermaids need a skill tree, at least one occult-specific aspiration and a secret underwater world. If aliens can have Sixam and spellcasters can have Realm of Magic, Mermaids can have a world too. Also kelp nectar for a Horse Ranch crosspack feature anyone? 3. Aliens Aliens need a skill tree and at least one occult-specific aspiration. A nectar of one the Sixam harvestables, as a Horse Ranch crosspack feature, wouldn't be bad either. EDIT HISTORY June 2025: Fairies removed from the list, confirmed with the expansion pack Enchanted by Nature.Simderella25005 hours agoRising Traveler150Views7likes2CommentsMore pond effects
We definetly need more pond effects for building, so why not bring existing effects in the game like: - Rainbow fireflies - Will' o' the wisp - Butterflies - Aquatic birds - Pixies With Enchanted By Nature EP, it would be great if we could have some effects that teases the existence of other fae types like... - Nixies - Kelpies I doubt will get them in the pack, but that doesn't mean we can't have it in Base Game.thornwill5 hours agoSeasoned Ace14Views0likes0Commentscooking system refresh and ingredient update
Cottage living, horse ranch, and home chef have added a lot of features to the cooking system. More ingredients, new appliances, and more recipes. However, I still think cooking and gardening cook be more detailed and include a better variety of harvestables and crafting ingredients. 1. Add a milling appliances and milled product recipes. There are now buyable flour and sugar ingredients from cottage living. However, I would like to craft these products myself. I'd like to see new harvestables for wheat, oat, sugar cane, rice, and corn and crafting recipes for flour, sugar, corn meal, rice flour, and rolled oats. This would also include adding various homestyle, gourmet, and baking recipes to make use of the new ingredients. 2. Add an oil press appliance and recipes for craftable coconut oil (island living), avocado oil (jungle adventure), olive oil (olive tree harvestable), and corn oil (corn harvestable). Add a new deep fryer appliance and recipes for fried foods. The deep fryer could be filled with various craftable oils and the appliance would be compatible with the food sales table. 3. I'd like to see recipes and appliances for fermenting and drying ingredients to make dried spices from herbs, soy sauce from wheat, pickled vegetables, dried seaweed, and vinegar (vegetable and grape). 4. Add a spiralizer appliance for making noodles from dough for pasta and ramen recipes. 5. Add new tree harvestables for almonds, cashews, and peanuts and new canned recipes for various nut butters as well as a milling recipe for almond flour and recipes for plant milks. 6. Add a juicer appliance and make fresh juice from various harvestables. 7. Add a crepe maker appliance and make crepes with various fruits, condiments, and even top with powdered sugar and chocolate syrup. 8. Add a frosting prepped ingredient to the stand mixer and add frosting ingredient requirement to cupcakes and cake recipes. There are already animations that should frosting being added to cake, we just lack a frosting ingredient. 9. Add coffee bean and tea leaf harvestables, coffee and tea blend crafting recipes, and coffee ground and tea bag optional ingredients for the coffee and tea maker appliances. 10. Make the cook together interaction more useful. Firstly, I think child sims should be able to learn the cooking skill (though they should have a level cap until they age up). Also, sims that are cooking together with another sim just talk to them. They don't actually assist with prep or gain any cooking experience from observing. I think there should be a base game compatible easy bake oven appliance that sims can purchase for child sims and allow them to practice the cooking skill. It also helps that cupcake recipes were moved from baking skill to cooking skill. The cupcake factory is too large and there is a mini oven in DHD, but not everyone has that pack. They also won't be able to make other recipes in it, except a few cookies and cupcakes, because that's its intended purpose. 11. Add the ability to trade mini animals for meat. I didn't realize until I tried it, but mini animals can't be traded for meat. When I used the interaction on a mini goat, I received a bunch of harvestables in the mail. Goats and sheep are edible so where is the meat? Also, there could be a werewolf exclusive interaction to "butcher" any livestock animal and immediately receive raw meat in their inventory. That way, there are more options for obtaining raw meat other than the hunting rabbithole. Vampires would also have the option to turn livestock animals into plasma packs. They can already do this with frogs and fish. If you want vampires to be more friendly, they need more food options. Gardening has gotten a small refresh. Cottage living rabbits and horse ranch mini goats can now do weeding. Seasons bee boxes also give garden buffs and there is an upgrade to make a composting toilet from eco lifestyle. However, everyone doesn't have eco lifestyle DLC or want a composting toilet. I would prefer to simply be able to craft a compost bin on the woodworking table, throw in spoiled food and harvestables, and retrieve fertilizer.pandacookiesims5 hours agoSeasoned Veteran183Views5likes5CommentsMedieval Expansion Pack

i know the last Game Pack was a Werewolve one so if the team do decided to create a Game Pack later this year, other versions deserves to have them first but a few Game Packs later we do need an another occult Occults in order: Ghost, Aliens, Vampires, Mermaids, Spellcasters, Werewolves and (soon to be) Fairies that's where Elf occult comes in Elf never ever appeared in The Sims franchise so i'd like to change that i saw an idea which gives me the inspiration to do mine and one of them is an Elf occult and i agreed it was never been done before Another Occult idea thread | EA Forums - 11277683 and i was asking ChatGPT about some dancing ideas and one of the pack ideas mentioned Elf so that's all the more reasons why i decided to create this pack idea (this time as a Game Pack rather than an Expansion Pack, especially since this other occult called "Fairies" is gonna come out called "Enchanted By Nature" in less than a month, and Game Packs feels more complete since the focuss is completely based on a occult, 2 reasons why it's fair to have them as a Game Pack) at first glance Elf might look like normal sims except their pointy ears just like some occult Elf have its own needs (its in this link so i won't copy that one here before others accuse me of stealing someone elses ideas) this person mentioned a couple of things in this link but i do stumble into this when i asked for a dancing pack👇👇 Sims 4: Enchanted Dance Pack Theme: Fantasy-meets-dance — great for storytelling & occult Sims. For the Elvenkind shall rise—or fall—by your legacy.” ☝️these are the ones i stumbled into☝️ i don't know which version the team wants to work on a pack based on Elf but it will be completely new in The Sims franchise since it was never done in the earlier games before as for the screenshot ones: it will be a brand new occult if the team add the Elf in the game and in my opinion rather a Game Pack than an Expansion Pack (2 reasons i've mentioned from above) thumbs up for the longer hairs instead of half long hairs with the Elves based pack💪93Views0likes1CommentThe Sims 4: Jade Realms Expansion Pack
Hi Simmers and Sims Team! I’m so excited to share an idea that’s been on my heart for a while — a China-inspired expansion pack blending modern life, ancient culture, and mystical fantasy, all drawn from the beauty of C-dramas. I know the Sims community is incredibly diverse, and I’d love to see more East Asian representation in the game. Whether or not Maxis sees this soon, I hope it inspires conversation and support from others who would love to play in a world like this! A world where modern cities, ancient legends, and mystical realms collide — inspired by Chinese culture and C-dramas. New World: Yúnzé (云泽) Split into three unique neighborhoods, each inspired by a facet of Chinese life and storytelling: Skyreach District (Modern – Chongqing-Inspired) > A vibrant urban city of high-rises, street markets, spicy hotpot shops, and neon-lit nightlife. Explore tea cafés, calligraphy bars, fashion shops Gameplay: Street food carts, Mahjong tables, modern Chinese fashion trends NPC Sims wear modern Chinese-inspired outfits (high street + traditional fusion) Career: Firework Factory Technician (mid-tier career with risky night shifts) 2. Zhongyuan Village (Ancient Xi’an-Inspired) > A tranquil village with traditional wooden homes, incense gardens, lotus ponds, and an old city wall. Visit ancestor shrines, temples, and paper lantern festivals Celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival and Chinese New Year with dumpling cooking, red envelopes, and fireworks Skills: Calligraphy, Mooncake Baking, Zither Playing (Guzheng) Career: Matchmaker, with romance-based gameplay mechanics 3. Realm of Xianxia (Hidden World) > A mystical plane accessed through a shrine portal, where legends live and time stands still. Magical floating mountains, ancient beasts, glowing plants Gameplay inspired by xianxia dramas: flight, sword cultivation, spiritual training Career: Guardian of the Xianxia (you protect balance between mortal and mystical worlds) Collect: Spirit petals, Phoenix feathers, Immortal scrolls Festivals & Events Festival What Happens Chinese New Year Fireworks, dumpling feasts, lion dances, red envelope gifting Mid-Autumn Festival Moon-viewing parties, paper lantern wishes, mooncake making Legends Night (Xianxia only) Spirits walk among mortals — rare collectibles and prophecy-based events Fashion & CAS Modern urban fashion inspired by Chinese trends (Hanfu streetwear fusion) Traditional Hanfu, Qipao, Tangzhuang for formal events. Jade jewellery. Mystical robes and accessories for xianxia Sims (floating sashes, glowing swords, cloud crowns) Hairstyles: long flowing styles, ornate braids, jade hairpins. 1. Legacy System: Ancestral Lineage (Cross-Neighborhood Feature) > Link the present, past, and mystical future of your Sim through generations New gameplay: Family shrine tracks your ancestry (like a spiritual family tree) Leave offerings, light incense, or write scrolls to honor ancestors Dead relatives from Zhongyuan Village may visit during festivals or when honored Xianxia Realm may “call” your Sim based on their ancestor’s traits or deeds 2. Flight & Light Step (Mystical Abilities in Xianxia Realm) > Inspired by how characters fly through trees or clouds in Chinese dramas. Use light-footed sprinting, floating meditation, or cloud-steps Only available in Xianxia realm after completing “spiritual trials” Cosmetic-only if EA limits powers, or toggleable like vampire powers 6. New Aspiration Paths “Balance of Realms” — connect all 3 neighborhoods through spiritual and social choices “Modern Maven” — rise through a fast-paced Chongqing career while honoring traditions “Harmony Keeper” — keep peace in your family and community through festivals and rituals158Views5likes15CommentsTrains Expansion Pack

Feel free to add to this:Fengjui7 hours agoSeasoned Veteran16Views1like1CommentTTRPG/DnD in the Sims 4
I was thinking how cool it would be if we could create a hangout specifically to play TTRPGs with other Sims! It might even be fun to do a collaboration with Wizards of the Coast to have official DnD characters, items, books and skins etc. How cool would it be to create a Tabaxi (catperson) or Tiefling (Devilperson) as a Sim, or to have an Owlbear pet! Come on EA, make it happen so we can get our nerd on!31Views2likes4CommentsNew Idea for a Expansion Pack

Hi ! I love that pronouns have been added to the English version of the game, but it's been more than a year now that this update came out and I feel like we haven't had any news for it coming to other languages. I understand that it is not easy for every languages, but could we have news for it, especially when it was said to be coming for other languages ?1.5KViews8likes12CommentsActive Trait and other Obsessive Behavior
Can you please tweak the Active trait to be a bit LESS active? Any sim I allow to have this trait, they will wake up, jump right out of bed and jump on the treadmill or weight machine. I am like no, you need to do your gardening or take a shower and tell them to go do that but the moment they can they're running back to the exercise equipment. They can be hungry and in the red and will want to go workout rather than eat or shower. It is exasperating. Wouldn't it be a fairly simple thing to code into their DNA, so to speak, that once they have exercised for a set amount of time that they won't get the urge to do it again for 24 or 48 hours hours? I mean we can always make them if they need to for something job related or whyever we might want them to. But as it stands, their single minded obsession is really frustrating and if I lock them away from the gym equipment I will forget about it. This would also be huge if it could be done for dancing, drinking water, and maybe even video gaming to an extent. I'm sure I am forgetting something but if they were not so obsessed they might spend some time with their pets, kids and family. Doors with a timer on them would work maybe for gym equipment but not realistic when it comes to the rest of that. Active and outgoing people still like to read or maybe even write a book on occasion. But not my sims, oh no. I have to lock them in a room so they can't do anything else to get them to do some things especially if they have active or adventurous trait. This shouldn't make it so darn hard for me to get them educated because they won't sit still. Anyway, please add some buff into the game to help control this obsessiveness. It would really add a huge amount to game enjoyment :)Nightgypsy8 hours agoSeasoned Hotshot33Views1like3Comments
