Request for Mermaids and Aliens Pack Refresh in The Sims 4
Hi SimGurus and The Sims team! I absolutely love the gameplay, ranks, and skill trees created for Werewolves and Vampires. They feel so deep, detailed, and fun to play!However, Mermaids (Island Living) and Aliens (Get to Work) feel very empty and basic in comparison. They really need their own progression systems and power trees. What does the community and the team think about a future Pack Refresh for these older occults? We would love to see them get the depth they deserve. Please consider giving them a modern update! #Sims4 #PackRefresh
Ideal for a New Sims 4 Expansion pack
Idea for a new Sims 4 Expansion Pack: “Zoo & Wildlife” I would love to see a new expansion pack for The Sims 4 that allows players to build and manage their own zoo. Players could create animal habitats, take care of different species, and focus on animal welfare. It would be amazing to have animals like elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, penguins, reptiles, and a large aviary with parrots. The pack could also introduce new careers such as zookeeper, zoo veterinarian, or wildlife researcher. Sims could visit the zoo, go on family outings, build souvenir shops and cafés, and learn more about conservation. I believe this kind of expansion pack would be very popular because it would add even more creativity, storytelling, and building possibilities to The Sims 4. Please consider creating a pack like this – many players would love it! 🦁🐘🦜
Things that don't make sense.
There are numerous issues in the game that bother me because they quite simply do not make any sense. For a start, if I set my Sim's sexuality to straight, I don't expect them to then find the same sex attractive and develop a crush on them that I cannot get rid off no matter how hard I try. Same for if a Sim is gay etc, they should not have a crush on a straight Sim and flirt with them. I have given them that orientation for a reason. I make Sims dislike mischief, yet they are all constantly doing mischief interactions! A snobby Sim who dislikes rascals and mischievous behaviour shouldn't then use the air horn on another Sim and lie about their career! And they also end up developing the Mischief skill which I do not want them to have and they wouldn't have! Having the ability to edit a Sim's personality in detail seems pointless when things like this happen regardless of the boundaries you put in place and it's irritating me because I feel like my Sims end up becoming a person I don't want them to be. Why do we only have 1 Sim hour to finish the Prom activities before the king and queen are announced? Surely there should be more time for eating and drinking, mingling etc. I could go on and on but there are so many things like this that just do not make sense and really affect my gameplay and enjoyment of the game. I realise this isn't a bug report and is more of a general rant but I feel like some of this has got to be related to bugs or issues with the game? I do not play with Mods or CC. Game is up to date.
Gallery still not fixed for everyone
First, I want to say thank you for fixing as many things as possible. It must be very difficult to keep up with it all. Several years ago, the gallery was revamped. We lost beloved aspects such as the News. Some of us lost more than that. The ability to see Follows and Follwer Count was removed for no apparent reason. I have repeatedly requested the gallery be put on the list to be fixed. As a simmer who owns every possible pack, kit and now marketplace item, having a fixed gallery would only seem fair. After all, our support keeps Sims running. I play on my laptop and have done every single thing I could do myself. When I went to the help desk, the person didn't even know what the gallery was or how to fix it. They said it would sent to technical support and made a priority. Then I received a email saying Fix not available. I do not accept that. You broke it and now I wish it to be fixed please.
Sims doing home cleaning
Like Mowing the lawn, watering the lawn and plants. Washing the curtains windows/ shower, blankets, rugs, towels pillow (that's one thing I loved about Sims 3 they also was like the bed sheets smell fresh and clean.) couch covers. I'm probably asking for too much now but Shampoo the floor or carpet. The pet beds.

[PH] Ask advice pop-ups during school hours
It is annoying how many ask advice pop-ups that occur, especially if you have more than one child. Since it doesn't matter at all since all kids tend to get responsibility and manners without any effort because they went to school or cleaned up the dished autonomously. But the biggest issue, and what I hope is a bug or an oversight, is that these pop-ups will go to any adult sim in the household regardless if there is a parent/ sim set as caregiver in the household. It feels like more often then not the ask advice pop-ups when the kids are at school will go to a sim that is not related and that is not set as a caregiver and usually is not even friendly with the kid that trigger the pop-up. The adult getting the questions also usually have no skill in parenting so I get no options, even though I have parents/ caregivers available that do have parenting skill. And it is not about the parents being at work etc and the sim getting the questions being at home alone, parents/ caregivers can also be home but still the random adult will get the pop-up. Why is there no priority when the game selects the adult that should answer the questions that pop-up during school? Parents and then sims set as caregivers in the household should be selected first, then other sims that are related and live in the house, then adult sims that are friends in the household. Then the random newly moved in roommate of their uncle should get the calls... I don't use mods or CC. Edit By Crinrict: Adjusted pack tag to fit conventions of the forum.
Replace the 4 Above / 4 Below Limit with 8 Flexible Build Levels
Right now we're limited to 4 stories above ground and 4 basement levels. Instead of increasing the total number of levels, what if we just had 8 buildable levels total and could choose how to allocate them? 🪴 Update Cryptic Triptych Shelf (Blooming Rooms) for new small planters
This item came with the Blooming Rooms Kit. The kit's own description calls it a tri-level plant stand and says "Three plants are better than one!" — but the 2nd shelf only slots a small clutter item, so you can only actually display two plants. To be fair, when this kit released, the small live planters didn't exist yet. But now that we have them, could someone at EA update the 2nd shelf's slot so it can hold one? It's a small fix that would let an older item finally do what its description promises. If EA is serious about fixing and improving things with The Sims 4, here's one small one. Please and thank you. Why can the Sims character flirt with someone that is not their designated spouse/person they're dating most people dont want their character to do this so it should only happen when you do it manually and never the Sims own decision. This way if you want your character to cheat they are free to do so but youre still in control and dont have to keep an eye out for it and shut it down when you see it constantly.
🗓️ Please Let Us Globally Save Custom Calendars & Holidays! + UI Fixes
I wish there was a way to edit the calendar and save it globally. I know you can make a backup save of a fresh save with an edited calendar, but that's a pain because sometimes updates break saves. And if you want to edit the first day of the calendar, you can't until that season has passed. I love editing Holidays and creating custom ones, and it's just a pain to have to recreate them all every time. It would be nice to somehow edit and save the calendar Holidays & Events as a global edit, so when you start a new save/game you don't have to redo your calendar all over again. This could even be a simple toggle in Game Options — something like "Use my saved global calendar for new saves" — so players who prefer setting up their calendar per save can keep things exactly how they work now. It would also be cool to get: More holiday icons without needing mods More holiday traditions using in-game stuff that came with DLC — like a traditions overhaul A fix for the calendar background — it's really bright white and hard to see. I've used a UI mod for this, but those mods don't play nice with my other mods so I can't use it. It's really hard to see the season icon against the bright white. The calendar remembering which filters we want on and off, instead of resetting every time None of this would change anything for players who like the calendar as-is — with a settings toggle it's completely opt-in, just a huge quality of life win for those of us who use it a lot. 🙂
