I'm not sure how this was overlooked in the first place. It seems obvious to me that the cross - compatibility should have been inherent. Enchanted by nature introduced indoor house plants. This in itself is quite novel and something I've wanted to see for a long time. However, these new houseplants can be grown in ceramic tabletop plant pots. Why weren't crafting recipes added to the pottery wheel/kiln appliances for tabletop pots? I would also like to see a historical OTG compatible version of the pottery wheel and kiln.4Views1like0CommentsAll Water Activities should be available in all Worlds that have bodies of water
EDIT: When I originally made this post, I made an error and sourced a news article that was incorrect. I apologize for any confusion I have caused. Moving forward, here is a WIP of a table that lists all water activities available in each World. I will work on finishing this list in the next 24hrs and adding the remaining worlds. If I have made a mistake or missed something so far, please comment below! Corrected San Sequoia to reflect all water activities being available in Gilbert Gardens. Thank you to DzikhrafSims on Twitter for pointing this out! 💚 Breakdown by Neighborhood: FRUSTRATIONS: Multiple Neighborhoods have large bodies of water in them, but Sims can only fish in most of them. This is a simulation game, but this significant limitation is so dissatisfying and disappointing. FEEDBACK: If there is a large body of water in the World, our Sims should be able to do all water activities (fishing, swimming, bathing in water, and kayaking) and not be limited to just fishing in most worlds. Also, certain Neighborhoods look like they contain large bodies of water, but once your Sims get there, you find out there's no water at all. Here's a great example; in Parched Prospect (in Oasis Springs), there is a body of water that looks like it's a part of the Neighborhood in the World View... The Sims 4 Wiki ...but there are no water activities available in Parched Prospect. That's because this body of water is only accessible through the Bedrock Strait neighborhood. If that weren't enough... at Parched Prospect, there is a giant fountain in the distance, but my Sims can't access it. Almost like it's taunting me in this desert... (Pic incoming once it uploads) I'm not saying every Neighborhood has to have a body of water available, but it's a lot to keep track of as a player, and there are a lot of inconsistencies. (2nd Pic incoming once it uploads) Caption: Another example... on The Crumbling Isle, there is a beach that looks like it should be accessible for swimming, kayaking, and bathing in water... but all Sims can do is fish. (3rd pic incoming once it uploads) Caption: Meanwhile, Sims can fish bathe (but not swim or kayak) at Magnolia Promenade. It's just really confusing. There is no consistency and not enough disclosure from EA, before the release of packs or otherwise. This leaves the fans guessing, trying to figure out where features work. Plus, the fans are given no reason why some features are cut from certain Neighborhoods, but not others. It just doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I just wish things were easier, more consistent, and cohesive. Original Post: Why, why, why, why?! 😭💔 Why can Sims only go Kayaking in...??? Sulani from The Sims 4: Island Living Britechester from The Sims 4: Discover University Nordhaven from The Sims 4: Businesses and Hobbies Gibbi Point from The Sims 4: Adventure Awaits Why?! This makes me so sad 😭💦 There are 27 Regular Worlds + 3 Destination Worlds, for a total of 30 worlds in the Sims 4 (if including all DLC). Currently, we can only go Kayaking in less than 14% of all Sims 4 worlds! To be fair, I don't think there are any bodies of water in Batuu, but still!!! This decision by the developers doesn't make any sense at all! If there is a large body of water in the World, our Sims should be able to kayak, period. This is a simulation game, but such a huge limitation like this on kayaking is so dissatisfying and disappointing. It's bad enough Sims can't swim in certain bodies of water and can only fish... but now Kayaking too?? 💔 This information should have been disclosed to the public before releasing The Sims 4: Adventure Awaits. This easily could have been mentioned during a dev livestream, dev Q&A, or official blog post... but it feels like it was purposely omitted so fans wouldn't be discouraged from purchasing. Please consider allowing our Sims to Kayak in all large bodies of water, in all Worlds. Limiting your players like this isn't good optics and it's just tarnishes brand loyalty when you don't disclose important details. Hey I’m kinda new in the modding space but I wanted to know if it would be possible to add an official modding tool/kit. I really wanted to create a certain type of mod to spice up my game and before anyone says download sims 4 studios I have and also tried it out, for me it’s very limiting. I understand if it not possible but I truly love this game and wanted to know if there was an official modding tool.Cupnztearz4 hours agoRising Newcomer22Views0likes2Comments- RealQualityGamer4 hours agoSeasoned Newcomer18Views1like2Comments
More than 2 fridges
Hi, I’ve seen this issues in past forums and it says it’s been solved by the response of “delete your extra fridges”. Can you just not limit how many fridges we have on our lots? That would make more sense. Some people have extravagant builds and want to have multiple levels or living spaces with multiple fridges throughout because if you have a mansion, it’s easier to walk to the closest mini fridge or a small kitchen to eat unless you teleport everywhere. The solution would be to allow us the use of more fridges. Is there a reason why we can’t have more fridges? Why is there a limit on how many we can have? Thank you!Pastries04296 hours agoSeasoned Newcomer8Views1like0CommentsThank you EA
I don't think you hear this enough, but thank you for creating such an endearing game. I spend many lovely hours here and I believe that your expansions add creative elements. I understand that you have a board and shareholders to answer to, and what you do keeps the game going. Considering the investment of time and funds I have put into Sims 4 i am glad you are not doing sims 5. I appreciate your frequent updates as you attempt to sort out the code. I have been playing the sims since the day of the sims release so long ago. Thank you for providing a quarter of a century of fun, creative and enjoyable content. Try not to let the negative stuff get you down there are more like me that enjoy the sims for what it is and want you to continue.valairia19 hours agoNew Traveler57Views5likes3CommentsHow much money do you expect to make the Sims 4 open world ?
I paid you almost $3,000 in advance, yet you did not make the game open world that includes all worlds and only 20 sims in the gameplay. We will enter 2026 and you do not implement the players’ requests. Where is the brialdo? Where is the ballet dancing? Where are the dances of couples from different cultures? Where is the tennis? Where are the water parties? Since 2014 you have not fixed the game. What have you been doing all these years?Kushina999912 hours agoNew Veteran31Views0likes0CommentsVampires need to be unnerfed
It's incredibly annoying having the vampires pack when it's basically just cas and BB because vampires were nerfed into nonexistance. I have neighbourhood stories turned on and every other occult in game gets into relationships, has babies and creates more of that occult except vampires. They don't autonomously turn anyone so the only way to get more vampires in game is to make one myself and turn other sims or have my sim turned so I can turn other sims. I make a bar or club with the vampire nexus trait and it's always full of every other type of sim except vampires. Werewolves have six different ways to be turned, two of which are accidental while vampires have 3 and none of those are accidental. I bought the vampires pack for actual vampire gameplay and all it is now is three townie vampires that do absolutely nothing. They need to be fixed!20Views2likes0CommentsSome Ideas
Not sure if I'm posting in the correct spot, but these are just some general ideas about the game and some things I'd love to see changed/added. Well, first and foremost I'd love for the game to work smoothly, just in general. But beyond that... Wouldn't it be nice if you weren't assigned a new butler every time you leave your lot and return? Not only do you have to reassign their bed to the new person, but you have to start over building relationships with this role as well. Also, on the subject of butlers, why do they follow you, uninvited, to vacations and getaways? That is very strange and awkward. I would love it if child Sims asked less pop-up questions of adult Sims. This auto-interaction seems to be crazy frequent, especially when you first open the game. It isn't that I'd like it disabled completely, its just that child Sims who are acting autonomously and not currently being directly controlled seem to want to do nothing but ask silly questions. Also, on that note, maybe add some new questions or change the old questions to reflect installed packs? So instead of always asking you about eating dirt or accepting unwanted gifts, perhaps children could ask questions about archery or fairies or if you played with marbles as a kid... things that help mirror actual gameplay and make the world feel more "lived-in". I would love it if there were a way to link Sims as family so that the game recognizes them as such. Even better if you could indicate what type of family and trigger appropriate social interactions specific to that. This idea came to me because I had families divided among separate households on PS4 (as families tend to do). When I upgraded to PS5 I had to upload my Sims to the gallery and re-download them into my PS5 for technical reasons. Anyway. The family members living under one roof together still recognize each other as family - but relatives with the same last name in other houses are now strangers. They have to meet as friends and start new relationships. They don't recognize a family relationship... which makes things really weird when they start flirting with each other. It would be so convenient to be able to just tell the game that these are relatives. And if you could go a step further and say "This is an aunt, this is an uncle, this is a cousin..." (or if the game just realized this) because there are things you might tell an aunt or uncle that you wouldn't say to your parents. Also, dynamics with cousins tend to be a shade different than dynamics with siblings. That sort of thing. Social interactions and perhaps even activity choices that reflect this would add a rich new layer of gameplay, imo Most shelves in the game hold just a few specific items. As in - this shelf holds items A, B, C - the next shelf will hold D, E, F but not A, B, or C. Why can't most shelves be designed to hold most things? I understand that some shelves are meant to look and feel bigger than other shelves - you can fit more on a hall table than you can on a wall shelf; I get that. But if you have two tiny potted plants that look the same size to the human eye... why does one fit on the wall shelf and the other one does not? That sort of thing. It is sometimes a struggle to decorate, for this reason. On that note - I think new "clutter items" are always welcome as future kit ideas. Why are men always ignored in clothing kits? Save for the one or two kits that were specifically all menswear, most kits - especially new kits - lean heavily female. Are you trying to tell us that its masculine to be naked? lol The new Autumn Apparel kit is a good example. There are like 7 pieces that are specifically masculine. the other 20 pieces are either unisex or specifically feminine. and on that note, hasn't there been only one child-specific clothing kit? It might be time to give the little ones some new drip, especially with the new child-focused expansion. And how about a teen-specific clothing kit, while we're at it? (Elders just recently got one) Something I immediately noticed with the new Imaginary Friends - why can't they help your child with the monster under the bed? I realize that the imaginary friend is also a child - however - they are a special entity that comes from imagination... just like the monster under the bed,,, so why can't they help your child Sim combat it? Especially if the whole point of having an imaginary friend is to have a companion who provides fun and comfort. Also... I think adult/elder fairies should be able to see and interact with imaginary friends - maybe even have unique interactions. Perhaps that's a bridge too far - but it would make sense to me and I'm sure others might feel the same.15Views3likes0CommentsThe Flea Market Desperately Needs an Update!
If I'm not mistaken, the Flea Market in San Myshuno hasn't been updated since the expansion's release (9 years ago!), which is really disappointing because over time the potential of this festival has been wasted. Until recently, I used a mod that added furniture from later expansions to the street vendors' inventory, and it was wonderful! But now I've decided to stop using that mod, and all the magic of visiting the flea market has simply vanished! I'm tired of constantly seeing the same furniture that was released 10 years ago. I dream of being able to discover items at the flea market that I normally overlook in build mode - items that might inspire me to start using them. The game has quite a few mechanics that the developers have abandoned, but I feel particularly sad about the flea market.40Views3likes1CommentDiscovery Quests
I accidentally accepted doing quests when I meant to click the x and cancel. Is there any way you can make it possible to back out of doing quests at any time even after accepting? I purposely didn't save my game and quit in hopes that the discovery quest wouldn't still show as accepted, but when I reloaded my game it still showed it was accepted and gave me no option to back out. I did previously have the discovery quest feature disabled in my settings but it still popped up. I don't want to be made to do tasks to get the quest removed, can you please make it possible for us to back out of quests at any time?munchkinetta2 days agoRising Newcomer22Views0likes1CommentLot Challenge Idea: "Volatile" - For When You Actually Want Fires
I've been thinking about the "Heist Havoc" lot trait and how it increases the chance of burglars. It made me wish there was a similar, more extreme option for players who want the chaos and drama of fires without having to constantly cheat to start them. Here's my idea. What area of gameplay is your feedback about? Lot Traits / Lot Challenges Chaos & Drama (Specifically fire events) What works well right now? The base game fire system is actually pretty fun when it happens! It creates moments of genuine panic and emergency that can break up routine gameplay. It forces Sims to react, tests their cooking skill, and can lead to unexpected (and sometimes hilarious) tragedies. The firefighter NPC service also works well as a response system. What isn’t working or feels frustrating? For players who actively want a "disaster" style of play, fires are far too infrequent. You can have a Sim with level 1 Cooking attempt to bake a cake every day and they might still never start a fire. Sims who are at level 5+ cook never start fires. The only reliable way to get a fire is to deliberately cause one with cheats, which feels artificial and breaks immersion. There's currently no legitimate, in-game way to significantly increase the risk of fire for a more volatile gameplay experience. What new ideas or improvements would you suggest? I propose a new Lot Challenge called "Volatile" or "Fire-Prone". The description could be something like: "This lot is a disaster waiting to happen. Faulty wiring, gas leaks, and spontaneous combustion are just part of the charm. Fires are significantly more likely to start here." This would work similarly to other lot challenges: It would be a toggleable option in the Lot Challenges menu. It would drastically increase the chance of fires starting from any source: cooking, fireplaces, electronics, and even a very small chance of starting completely randomly. It could even slightly reduce the effectiveness of sprinklers or fire extinguishers to make the challenge more real. Why would this improve your gameplay experience? This would be a fantastic option for storytellers and players who enjoy chaos and challenge. It would create natural drama and emergencies without resorting to cheats. You could use it for: A struggling restaurant that's a real safety hazard. A haunted house that is literally burning down. A legacy challenge where fire is a constant threat. Just making a simple cooking session feel high-stakes. It wouldn't affect players who don't want it, as it would be an optional challenge, but for those of us who do, it would add a thrilling layer of risk and unpredictability to our games. Would anyone else use a challenge like this? If so, please upvote 👍 this post so it can be added to the game.canelacaliente2 days agoSeasoned Ace29Views6likes2CommentsSims 4 Game Pack Ideas

I’m excited for The Sims 4: Hobbies expansion and have already pre-ordered it. But once again, EA continues to overlook an entire demographic when it comes to cultural representation in the game. Time and time again, we see content inspired by North American (predominantly white), English, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Indian cultures. But where is the meaningful inclusion of African and Black American culture? Where is a world inspired by the diverse regions of Africa, with music, food, and traditions? Where is a pack that properly highlights Black American culture—the very culture that has shaped and influenced global entertainment, fashion, and language for decades? And before anyone mentions that one tiny kit pack—let’s be honest, it was bare minimum effort. Meanwhile, we’ve received multiple packs focusing on animals, a full LGBTQ+ CAS update, and even a knitting pack before anything that truly celebrates Black culture. That’s unacceptable. It’s frustrating to see the culture that has influenced so much of the world continuously sidelined. Black culture is American culture, and its impact is undeniable. It deserves to be represented with the same depth, respect, and effort that has been given to other cultures in The Sims 4. EA, it’s time to do better.UrianRoss2 days agoSeasoned Newcomer134Views4likes5CommentsUpload content from promotional materials to the Gallery
Please, upload Vlad's Blood & Breakfast from the Getaway Ideas video to the Gallery. (https://x.com/TheSims/status/1974157641346900304) I'm also still missing Dahlia Fern the plantsim from the Nature's Calling reward event. The event used her in all the promotional material and even had little illustrations but we never got the sim. Also, the family from the Crystal Creations trailers had a house and an entire backstory but they were never uploaded. This would be such a simple way to add to the game since the Sims 4 doesn't have townies like the Sims 2 and 3 used to have. I get that some of the builds are probably just shells but I'd still love to have them.Gvaudoin2 days agoNew Spectator22Views2likes1Comment
