Infant changing table for commercial lots in BG
I have growing together but there's only one commercial changing table (think pool or clothing store bathroom). I would love a base game version that is a different design because BG players need a version too! Not everyone buys that pack but they are soft locked from that feature, despite the fact infants are BG. Maybe the swatch can also include a grimy & yucky swatch for run down builds.a_fairystory45 minutes agoSeasoned Rookie4Views0likes0CommentsMermaids occults revisited
Mermaids occults revisited Love the mermaids but I felt like they gotten the short end of the stick like the aliens not having a skill tree The skill tree The tree level should go from Sea witch 5th level sea witch once u hit this level u will be able to stop aging at the young adult stage u can turn sims into mermaids u can make deals with sims u can give and take a away buffs u can age or turn a sim young again or u can give an occult level up or lowering there level by making deals u can take a buff or occult from them as payment adagardis 4th level the adagardis can Influence more then one person with there singing making them flirty or whatever emotion you want them in u can make the start fights over u or u can make them end a relationship that they are in or help them in that relationship u can also influence there friendship or romance gages nereids 3rd level nereids have the ability to influence the weather making it rain thunderstorm making it hot cold windy or snowing u also have weather powers u can make Little rain clouds over sims or thunder clouds u can make it rain or snow inside or outside and u can freeze sims in a block of ice and hold them in there until u decide u want to let them out or make a water ball to trap a mermaid in there until u want to release it or not Siren 2sec level Sirens the can sing lure people to the water to drown them have influence over there emotions making them flirty ur singing can give them buffs or if u kiss the sim u can make them dehydrate them or can make them breathe under water longer or summon the kraken to drown them Mermaid 1st level Mermaids they step foot in the water and they turn they can call upon fish and dolphins can Savage in the ocean The witches flask When ur making a deal with the witch the witch will take something from u a buff or maybe a occult level or maybe just take ur occult away it will be random or of the witches or ur choosing and let's say if a sim gets one of the witch's flask like let's say if a sims vampirism in there and if there max out the sim gets all of the ability unlock or if there was buff in the flask they will get that buff The payment U can sell ur soul or give her or him ur buff or they can age u up or lower ur occults level down or take ur occult or it could be random depending on the price or on the witch there a good witch and a bad witch (need cauldron) Cauldron Like the wizard u can make potions to help sim breath under water longer or make an air bubble around the head for 30 mins or less u can also use the cauldron as a looking glass to watch the sim that owes u payment and to summon the sims or mermaids or bless or hex a random sim depends on u Good witch bad witch The good witch can cure any illness and cure an occult can give traits buffs and if there is a willing occult to give up there abilitys the witch can transfer to u if willing and can age or make them young again for a fair trade and if the sims die they can bring them back to life and if they past on they can bring them back from the other side but that's in the heaven and hell dlc idea I have if u want to go look lol Evil sea witch u can make deals contracts they can take buffs or traits or force to age u up or even taking ur soul or ur occult turning u back to normal or lower ur occults skill level and if u want to turn into occult u would have to kidnap a sim and the witch will steal the occult and give it to u for u soul and can also bring back the dead sims or the one that past on to the other side but need heaven or hell dlc idea I have on my page lol If u have The Seasons expansion U can use water ball to hold the mermaids in place so they can't swim away wind ball could hold a sim in place when ur underwater so they can breathe and with the ice u can freeze in place until u decide to let them go Hydration gauge And the meter will be the same with the hydration with the hydration washing ur hands taking shower swimming that will keep full which we know but if u kiss a sim u can drain all the moisture making them them dehydrate and feeling up ur water gauge it won't kill the sim it would just make them thirty which will an hydration option if u want to use it Mermaid tails Like how they have mermaid tails they should make some fancy octopus legs or shark tails and also have some fins on the arms and back or maybe cheeks with some gills and hand webbing as add-ons The bottom is for the for the Angel and demon occult dlc idea I had go take look at it and tell me what u think Mermaid inspired angel *Scales with Iridescent Sheen*: Shimmering scales that reflect light like angel wings, giving them an ethereal appearance *Aquatic Wings*: Instead of traditional wings, they have flowing, fin-like appendages that allow them to swim and glide through water with ease. *Oceanic Halo*: A soft blue glow surrounding their head, representing their connection to the ocean and its secrets Mermaid inspired demon *Scales with Smoldering Ember*: Dark, fiery scales that reflect the glow of hellish flames, giving them a menacing appearance. *Infernal Fins*: Instead of traditional wings, they have sharp, jagged fins that allow them to slice through the water with deadly precision. *Dark Tides Aura*: A mysterious, dark purple glow surrounding their head, representing their mastery over the darkest depths of the ocean and its hidden terrors.765Views20likes18CommentsSuggestion: Baking Stuff Pack
Hi. I thought I would start a thread here for other simmers who might be interested in this idea. I really want to have a baking skill in game. Base game has cooking and gourmet cooking but not baking which currently you need Get To Work for. However, Get To Work is too expensive for simmer who might only want it for the baking skill. I think it would be a good idea to make another cheaper pack like a stuff pack that would add in the baking skill along with some related build/buy items (and maybe CAS, aprons for example). Not all of us can justify spending money on an expansion pack if all we want is one little skill. It would be even better if baking was added to the base game for free like was done with photography, but I realize that might be asking for too much so I would be willing to settle for a stuff pack or other cheaper pack option other than an expansion pack that adds the baking skill. I also thought I would start this thread for other simmers who want to add in additional comments on this topic and upvote it to show EA what level of demand there is for something like this. If you agree, upvote this post and if you have anything you want to add to this idea, comment with your thoughts and ideas.TulipRogue54 minutes agoSeasoned Novice29Views4likes5CommentsCan we have a Arabic based world?
we can have a world similar to the Aladdin movie World Concept: "Al-Jawhara" (The Jewel) A desert oasis city, glittering with lanterns and domes, surrounded by golden sands and hidden secrets. It’s a blend of traditional Middle Eastern towns and fantastical elements, perfect for genies and storytellers. Neighborhoods The Grand Bazaar Narrow alleys filled with small market stalls: spice vendors, rug sellers, potion shops. Street performers and fortune tellers. A playable market system where Sims can haggle, trade, and discover rare items. The Oasis Gardens Lush greenery, fountains, and palm groves. A community space for relaxation, weddings, and festivals. Rumors say genies sometimes appear here at night. The Sandstone Quarter Residential district with traditional-style homes, rooftop patios, and courtyards. Families gather around hookah lounges and tea houses. Genies might be disguised as everyday Sims living among mortals. The Forgotten Ruins An adventurer’s hub. Crumbling temples, hidden caves, and treasure vaults. Sims can go on mini-quests, solve puzzles, and uncover artifacts. Special lot type: Genie’s Lair, where a magic lamp can be found. Gameplay Features Genies as Occult Sims: Grant wishes (wealth, romance, youth, mischief). Mischievous side effects if wishes are poorly worded. Unique needs like “Mana” or “Essence.” Market System: Active stalls Sims can own and run. Special items: magic carpets, enchanted trinkets, exotic foods. Festivals & Traditions: Lantern Festival at night with glowing skies. Storytelling circles, music, and dance. Trading fair where rare collectibles appear. Build/Buy Style: Intricate arches, mosaic tiles, carved wood doors, colorful rugs. Desert plants, courtyard fountains, hanging lanterns. World: Al-Jawhara (The Jewel of the Desert) A thriving desert city where reality and myth intertwine. Sims live ordinary lives in sandstone homes, shop in bustling souks, and stroll through palm-lined courtyards — but at night, whispers of genies, enchanted lamps, and hidden treasures echo through the streets. Neighborhoods The Souk Quarter (Market District) Inspired by real bazaars in Marrakech, Cairo, and Fez. Narrow winding alleys with stalls for spices, rugs, jewelry, pottery, and magic curiosities. Sims can haggle, run stalls, and discover rare goods (including enchanted items). The Oasis Promenade A lush escape with fountains, palm gardens, and mosaic-tiled plazas. Community hub for weddings, tea houses, and storytelling circles. At night, mysterious lights appear — rumored to be genie magic. The Sandstone Quarter (Residential Area) Homes with rooftop terraces, shaded courtyards, and patterned wooden doors. Family-focused living, traditional meals, music, and gatherings. Sims can host feasts, play instruments, and pass down folktales. The Shifting Dunes Vast desert outskirts with ruins, caravans, and hidden tombs. A special adventure lot type: “Lost Temple,” where Sims can explore puzzles, traps, and treasures. Genies may be encountered in sealed chambers or through ancient lamps. Gameplay Features Genie Occult Sims Powers: wish-granting, illusion spells, teleportation via smoke. Personality twist: benevolent genies vs mischievous tricksters. New life state: Sims can become genies via inheritance or ancient rituals. Market & Trade System Active stalls with dynamic inventory. Rare “Curio Vendor” sells magical lamps, flying carpets, and enchanted jewelry. Haggling skill impacts prices and rare finds. Festivals Festival of Lanterns: Nighttime celebration with glowing lanterns, dancing, and genie appearances. Souk Festival: Food tastings, trading competitions, and music performances. Build/Buy Style Real-world inspiration: domed rooftops, mashrabiya lattice windows, archways, tile mosaics. Decorative lanterns, rugs, pottery, hookah lounges. Magical furniture: floating seating, glowing fountains, enchanted carpets. Al-Jawhara World Layout Central Hub: The Grand Oasis Large fountain plaza with gardens and palms. Acts as the “centerpiece” of the world. Sims can gather here for festivals, weddings, and storytelling nights. Neighborhoods 1. The Souk Quarter (Market District) Lots: Market Plaza (community lot, with stalls) Tea House (café/bar hybrid) Small apartments above shops Empty retail lot (player-owned market stall hub) Vibe: Bustling, colorful, narrow streets. 2. The Sandstone Quarter (Residential Area) Lots: Family courtyard homes (small & medium lots) A rooftop social club (karaoke/music/tea lounge) Park/playground styled like a shaded courtyard Vibe: Cozy, lived-in, community-centered. 3. The Oasis Promenade (Garden District) Lots: Large wedding venue / celebration hall Botanical gardens with fountains Luxury villa (player can own) Desert palace shell lot (optional aspiration tie-in) Vibe: Romantic, scenic, ideal for screenshots & festivals. 4. The Shifting Dunes (Adventure Outskirts) Lots: Hidden Tomb (special lot, like Selvadorada temples) Excavation camp (active careers tie-in) Small caravan tents (starter lots) Vibe: Mysterious, golden desert sands, ruins, and whispers of ancient magic. Special Features Genie’s Lamp Spawn Points: Random rare chance in dunes/ruins. Flying Carpet Travel: Optional replacement for bicycles. Festivals rotate between The Souk and The Oasis Promenade. Think of the overall map like San Myshuno meets Oasis Springs, but more compact and infused with folklore + magical ruins. Here’s a concept map layout for Al-Jawhara Center: The Grand Oasis (festival + community hub) Top left: Sandstone Quarter (residential homes) Top right: Souk Quarter (markets + shops) Bottom left: Oasis Promenade (gardens + weddings) Bottom right: Shifting Dunes (ruins + adventures)sailorleontine54 minutes agoSeasoned Ace27Views3likes3Comments[BH] Most customers not entering small business
Hey, so I've been noticing an issue where the majority of my sims small business customers just pay the entry fee and proceed to stand around outside. There are some sims that occasionally come in but most just stand around and i have to manually offer them tatoos for them to come inside. I'd really appreciate help. So, Maxis has found an easy way out. Instead of actually doing the work, creating a new game that is enhanced and modern hopefully bug free they have found that by just releasing new expansions, stuff packs and kits. We the consumer will keep buying them and be content. It used to be about every 4 years we would get a brand new game that was reworked and tuned to perform even better than the last giving us that Christmas morning feeling. Now all we get are addons to the same core base that is riddle with bugs and outdated content. The Sims - 2000 The Sims 2 - 2004 The Sims 3 - 2009 The Sims 4- 2014 - ?? You can clearly see the problem here. My point? Stop feeding into their laziness and force them to build a new product instead of taking your money with ridiculous add on content. At the end of the day, the consumer wins. Also, they promised online play which will not happen until a new base game is actually developed. Just one more thing Maxis has skated over.20Views1like0CommentsMisleading promo images in today's (Sept. 18th, 2025) patch notes
I'm sorry, but this photo is completely misleading and causes confusion when coupled with today's patch notes. I understand the need to promote a new pack that is launching soon, but there is a time and place for everything and decisions like this just create false expectations in the community. Please limit promotional photos to articles promoting new packs. Keep photos in patch notes on topic please. Failure to do so just causes negative reactions to spread in the community like wildfire. I use Lock Skill Gain Progress by TriplisSims to make the game (IMHO) playable. This allows me to have my Sims unique and stops from unwanted skill gain (like comedy, mischief, etc.) Before this mod, I would get so frustrated when my Sims autonomously do interactions they disliked like comedy, mischief, etc. and they'd gain the skill—that I'd stop playing. This honestly saved my sanity for Sims 4 (or I couldn't play), but it looks like it is no longer maintained, and I think it should be a base game feature. Prevent skill gain from select/unwanted skills. Lock skill gain for select skills to keep Sims at the desired level. Keep Sims unique/different from one another.19Views1like2CommentsEvent Rewards Suggestion
During the "Reaper's Reward Event", the magazine around week one never got delivered to my Sim's mailbox, so I missed out on the entirety of the Reaper's Rewards. This was very upsetting to me because I really adored, and still do adore, the "Grim's Cruiser" bicycle. Look, EA. You like money, I like having content. I am suggesting that EA lists past Reward Events for money, for players that missed out on the event for one reason or another. I am thinking a proper price point for a Rewards Event could be like, $0.99, or $1.99, or something. Less than what a kit costs, obviously. I said it already, but we know that anywhere where EA can make more income would be beneficial. You can do whatever you want with this suggestion. Archive the Reward Events the week after it finishes for purchase, 6-months after the fact, or pay-to-skip gameplay (but if you want to keep the disposition of the release timeline per week, I'm sure players will be okay with that). Anyways, thanks. I really want it in my game but I don't want to play with mods or CC.BlushieXOXO3 hours agoNew Rookie22Views2likes2CommentsPre-Order Bonuses from Older Packs?
Tl;wr: I feel like after a period of time, if you own the pack, you should just get the items/do away with the system as a whole. I’m going to preface this with the ever-classic of, “I think this is predatory and disgusting in regards to your loyal fanbase who have purchased thousands of dollars in DLC”. Instilling a fear of FOMO (fear of missing out) in a single-player life simulator is crazy to me. I’m trying to grasp how this is logical. Okay, I’d understand if you got the items early, but three exclusive items for buying a pack early that aren’t offered again or anywhere else is ridiculous. They are such small objects, minor things, but the point is moot when I pay $60 for a pack and three items are locked away. In regard to the most recent pack, that bed is amazing, and I can foresee it being used in a lot of gallery builds for teenagers – but I will not be able to get it because I won’t be getting the pack for reasons until after the pre-order date ends. Again, I’m not exactly mad or bothered about it, more disappointed because it sucks to lose out on items. I have missed the previous four expansion packs ‘early bird’ objects and, honestly, in my time looking at builds, a lot of them use the items. I don’t know if you can even get them or if I just wrote this for no reason, but no amount of Googling gave me the answer. As someone with a few of the ‘early access’ items, I wouldn’t care if anyone who owned the pack got them. Gatekeeping anything is wild. I also understand that people make mods of these items, but that seems terrible, honestly. I also think it messes up sharing gallery lots and downloading them. I don’t know if I’m off the rails, though. I just hate this system and encouraging impulse spending. Thank you for your time.HaveYouSeenSean3 hours agoRising Ace5.6KViews19likes30Comments[GTW] Undesired pregnancy by aliens
Product: The Sims 4 Platform:PC Which language are you playing the game in? Português How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%) What is your current game version number? 1.108.349.1020 What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Create a male sim who CAN'T get pregnant or impregnate others... be abducted by aliens, and has a very high chance of being pregnant What happens when the bug occurs? Abducted SIM will be pregnant. What do you expect to see? Not be pregnant, NEVER. Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used. Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure I want to play it without any kids, and I was forced to give birth to this alien parasite. I can't remove it with cheats or anything else... I tried to send it back to its home planet, but it's still in my family tree. Same with social services—I don't want it. - old save games is not an option - Edit SIM via debug (shift + click) to remove it is the bare minimum 😠 😠 😠 😠 😠 😠 CM Edit: ContentSolved825Views1like9CommentsFood/Menu Calorie Adjuster Feature
I use very few script mods as updates could break them. But one I really rely on is keeping foods and their calories at a non interference levels. If calorie/hunger regeneration could be adjusted by a slider (or at the very least an enable/disable toggle) as a feature would be highly desirable. So I don't have to worry what my Sim is eating, and so I don't have to make them a workout junky.5Views0likes0CommentsLaundry List (Sept 16, 2025) is unreadable on Mobile Devices

With the September 18th Update, Playgrounds are a new venue lot type that have been added to the base game. It's nice to finally have toddlers showing up at lots since they never used to before. However, I noticed that parents/carers don't show up in playgrounds with their kids/toddlers, for the sake of immersion and realism, It would be nice if kids/toddlers are attended with their parents/carers.nashesims3 hours agoSeasoned Newcomer7Views0likes0CommentsIDEA: [S] Holiday Scope • Calendar UI
Not all Holidays are celebrated across every household. Some holidays are personal. Take for instance, a Wedding Anniversary. This type of holiday would only affect one couple of one household. Currently, creating a holiday titled "Landgraab Wedding Anniversary" would be seen and celebrated globally, showing up on calendars of every household. What if you could decide the scope of your Holidays? Then you could decide how far your holiday reaches and control which households can see it and celebrate it. Household Currently, Calendars are already assigned to a Household Only the household of the holiday-creator would celebrate this holiday Personal holidays, for example: wedding anniversary annual reunion - family / graduating class religious / cultural / heritage family traditions date night annual friends fishing trip World Create your own Festivals! Many of the expansion packs would need to be completely recoded to address some of the biggest issues and bugs with them (e.g. For Rent), and I doubt EA will do that when they won't make money off of it. And so far for every "fix" they make, there's two new problems. I implore people to stop buying Sims 4 content until EA actually makes the game playable or finally admits they were wrong about not moving on to the Sims 5. Even Sims 4 content creators that are partnered with EA are getting tired of this BS What the Sims 5 should be: OPEN WORLD!!! --- No more loading screens that kill the flow of gameplay. Every lot should be fully customisable, including public parks. Seasons, cats + dogs, multi-cultural worlds, and fleshed-out gameplay options for all sim ages should be included in the base game. "Vacation" worlds should also be available to live in and customise. Events like weddings, birthdays, and funerals should be functional(crazy, I know). Townie outfit generation that isn't throwing on every accessory under the sun, venues that already have townies in them when your sim shows up. Sims that go to the bathroom, shower, and eat, without being told to every time (maybe allow simmers to create morning routines for their sims?). Quick showers that still don't take two hours. In fact, all basic functions should get done fairly quickly. I shouldn't have to wake my sim up four hours early to get them out the door to work on time. Slightly nicer graphics and Sims that don't look uncanny! Either lean into the stylisation or away from it. I don't need to see the pores in my sim's face or anything, but if the style could be a bit more cohesive, that would be nice. COLOUR WHEELS!!! PLEASE!! for everything: eyes, hair, skin, furniture, walls. It could allow for the creation of colour palettes as well. At the very least, furniture should be able to match, especially when they come in the same pack. Gameplay that is sillier and messier without being annoying. I like feuding with other sims, cheating scandals, etc. I would like more of it. If I'm starting off with an adult sim, I should be able to pick a few skills that they are already good at. Lot outfits - basically the lot decor changes with each season (I don't have to re-add a snowman outside, every time it changes to winter) The Sims 4, with all the packs, is the most expensive video game in the world. And the Sims 4 has over 100k daily players. Most of the packs cost as much as a regular video game. We should not have to beg for the Sims 4 to be functional. Please comment on what you would like as well53Views0likes5CommentsChanging Keybindings in The Sims 4
