URGENT: My packs are not loading in the game and I can't solve it!
I didn't want to be here again to solve practically the same problem that should have already been solved, but I NEED URGENT HELP, so here we go. My packs are still not loading into the game, even though they are installed. I have already done almost all the possible solutions in this comment that was sent to me as a solution to this same problem that I had previously questioned ---> https://forums.ea.com/discussions/the-sims-4-technical-issues-pc-en/current-issue-sims-4-dlc-shows-as-installed-wont-load-in-game/11831673, but none of them worked and I discovered something new for myself. (My previous thread was locked, so I'm making a new one) Looking at the game files and looking for where my packs were, I saw that they were all in the "The Sims 4" folder inside one of the Steam folders (screenshot below). I also noticed that the "EA Games" folder was empty (this "The Sims 4" folder should be there with the packs, but it isn't — screenshot below), which is probably the problem with the packs not appearing in the game. However, I tried to move only the pack folders to the "EA Games" folder, but they didn't work and the EA App itself asked for a new download in the add-on management and I deleted the pack folders from the "EA Games" folder so that they wouldn't be duplicated in a new download and fill up my hard drive. I checked the installation location in the EA App settings and there it was: "C:\Program Files\EA Games\" (without the "The Sims 4" folder that it should have as it normally does) and when I went to download the packs back it appeared in their installation location: "C:\Program Filesx86\Steam\streamapps\commom\The Sims 4" (which is the same path that is in one of the screenshot below). I downloaded the packs again, but this time to be installed in the "EA Games" folder (I did it by mistake without being in the "The Sim 4" folder inside it, which I don't know, but at the time I didn't know that) and I failed again, because it was downloaded again in "C:\Program Filesx86\Steam\streamapps\commom\The Sims 4" even though I hadn't even selected them to be installed there. Then I realized that the "The Sims 4" folder is in the wrong place (I strongly believe that's it) and I tried to move it to the "EA Games" folder, which is where it should be (right?). However, it says that the folder is in use and that the action cannot be completed because the file or folder is open in another program (I've already tried moving it even by logging out of Steam and the EA App and nothing).Businesses and hobbies - unable to set some unit outlines?
Basically I built a lot and can only set outlines in some rooms? The sims come to my lot, but they are unable to enter the business and idk how to fix it I could set the kitchen for employees only, and thats it, the unit outlines dont appear anywhere else basically. heres one image if that helps
How to disable same-sex attractions and male Sims to not dress like women.
How can I disable same-sex attractions in The Sims 4? I'm looking for a way to toggle my Sims, as well as the townies in my game to not experience romantic or sexual attraction towards other Sims of the same gender. I want to create a game environment where all romantic relationships are strictly heterosexual and dressed properly without deleting every townie prior to launch and all at once, and I would appreciate any guidance or methods available to achieve this specific gameplay experience. Are there any settings or perhaps mods that can help me customize the attraction preferences of my Sims to ensure they only pursue relationships with the opposite sex and dress accordingly? Also, how can I refuse pride content that contains specific pride objects or remove the content from my game. Thank you!For Rent still super buggy
Recently purchased For Rent during the spring sale and I'm getting several bugs trying to be a landlord. I recently reinstalled The Sims on my computer and don't have any mods or CC installed. Everything else is working as normal. Rental events time out basically immediately. A rental event occurs, I immediately have my sim go attend to it and it times out saying I failed to address the issue even though I should have more time. I evicted someone because they broke the garbage rule and would not pay the fine. When I evicted them it said it was a just eviction. Then a few days later I get a notification my rating has dropped due to an unjust eviction. When I was trying to get my tenant to pay the fine for breaking the garbage rule, they would not pay no matter which way I tried (mailed, under door, in person). When trying to get them to pay in person, there didn't seem to be any indication that the interaction had failed. My ratings for each unit is inconsistently accurate. So like size, amenities, etc. those change to be inaccurate. For example, that same unit with the garbage event issue started as large size and now says small even though it's not. I haven't noticed receiving rent from my tenants, which makes me think it's not happening as I see that was also a common bug. When I look through these forums, it seems like these are all issues that happened for people a year or more ago and were supposedly fixed by patches. Is For Rent just still this buggy? I have not been able to play my game for some time now, i only seem to have access to CAS. Households don't load, the loading screen will come on and then it takes me back to the manage worlds screen. Also the same if trying to access build mode. What can I do to fix this? Already tried the repair option on the EA app, I deleted cashe folders on my sims 4 folder and recover safe file...yet still having the same issues and unable to play my game.
Restaurants not loading and causing a game breaking glitch (109:8badb8bd)
Hey guys I have been having this issue for awhile and just thought it was my mods, well today I took all my mods out and this is still happening. I go to either travel or to create a date and click on a restaurant to go to and I get this error code. See attachment. I have taken all mods out and I have restarted the game and repaired it nothing works can some tell me if they can fix it. I had made a family a while back and when i went to play everything was fine and worked. As of yesterday i tried to resume the game after made the required update i tried to resume and now they are asking me to pick a season ( never before have i been asked to pick a season in a already played household) and when i pick one they are asking me to pick a residence to live in although i already have place. The screen is fully white, funds are saying i have no money and it doesnt load .... what do i do ? i tried repairing the game - that did not change anything. Should i repair it again?The game won't load me into a household
Yesterday I was playing and I noticed that the game started to have issues, for example not immediately letting me save builds etc. it kept saying check back later. The longer I kept playing the more weird stuff happened. In the end it didn't let me move households anymore, it gave the same message, something along the lines of check back later. Then when I went into a world screen I didn't let me load into households anymore either. So I basically can't play now, except for building mode (and that won't let me save things 90% of the time either). I removed my mc command center mod, repaired the game like three times. When that didn't solve anything I deinstalled the game and reinstalled it. Which took me back to the same issues. I then deinstalled again, removed all files from my computer, reinstalled and although it did let me start from the beginning completely, it still doesn't let me load into a household. It took me ages because I have all the packs. I didn't install the mc command centre mod either when I reinstalled the game. I really don't know what else to do now. But this really sucks. What more can I do?
Trying to use platforms on the second floor brings the roof inside
No matter what I do, I cannot get platforms on my second floor to work. I've tried redrawing the room before I place one, I've tried using the room tool to make a platform and then deleting the walls, I've tried placing the platform in the middle of the room first , nothing works. Every time I try to place a platform the roof comes inside the house and it's incredibly frustrating. Has anyone figured out a way to make them work on upper floors? Is this something EA needs to patch and just hasn't? This also seems to happen if I try to use fences or half walls on the upper floors as well. Sometimes my game crashes when I try to use platforms on my first floor, but I don't think that's related to the roof issue, I think that's because I cheated the platforms I have outside to meet up with my foundation without having a foundation of their own. But who knows
The receptionist at Willow Creek hospital won’t do their job!!!
On CONSOLE so I have absolutely no mods whatsoever. every time I have a sim go to work as the doctor the receptionist just sits there on the computer surfing the web or playing games. The lobby is full of Sims, waiting to be checked in. All the beds are empty, but Shorty just won’t admit the patients. I have changed the computer and the chair and she still won’t do her job and it’s very time-consuming having to admit my patience one by one to complete the task.
Awful bug
everyone knows this and i really hope the sims team gets their sh*t together and fixes dine out OMFG it is soooo bad it took 7 sim hours JUST TO ORDER THE FOOD!!!!!! THE WAITER WAS JUST SHOVELLING SNOW!!!! such an awful gameplay it makes me want to quit the game immediately because it just makes me so mad how glitchy… i have to take my sims for a “dinner date” at 7am to get home at a decent time its absolutely ridiculous i thought they were supposed to “repair” the pack like what they did with spa day shame on the sims team for yet another good potential pack failed so badly>:|
