Unable To Load Other Lots / Households
I have removed my mods but even then, I'll go to manage worlds and click on a household that isn't my last played household to play in. An error message will show up and tell me to reload the game. I do it 20 odd times and nothing happens. I waited for the new update, thinking it would fix the bug. It did not. I tried to access the household by switching in live mode but an error came up again, so my sim couldn't even visit that household's home lot and then suddenly, I was not playing in my last played household anymore. Whenever I tried to build, nothing would load, so I was stuck on the loading screen for an hour once. Only Create-A-Sim is working correctly. Otherwise, the game is pretty much unplayable. To make matters worse, every time I try to close the game, Steam says "stopping" but the game never actually closes. I have to turn off my laptop completely to force the game to close.
Uploading to My Library Ques.
I am looking for information about uploading Households to My Library. Knowing how something is intended to work is half of troubleshooting. It is a fairly simple action. I go to CAS, click the File button and upload. 29 Sept 2026 PC Yesterday I uploaded 3 households to My Library. After upload, I get a pop up that it's been added after each. But, when I go back to My Library I only see 1 of the 3 households. That's never happened before. Don't know if it's a known bug. Could there be a problem with the household? Anyone else having the same problem?
Random fires in one spot
I keep getting fire in one singular spot, always in the bathroom on the ceiling, it’s happened many times in the past and still has not stopped. It’s getting really annoying and it’s also in my legacy house so I don’t wanna have to change houses, I have attached an image to show, no it’s not mods or CC im on XboxInfant glitching through crib
I’m currently playing my legacy save and I went to go check on the infant because I was building a greenhouse. I don’t know why but the baby is inside the crib, like completely I can’t even see the dang child. I’ve attached an image to show proof, maybe this is a glitch attached to the most recent patch? Idk but I’m so confused, i also don’t have mods or CC downloaded so it’s definitely not that Anyone else have this issue?
Settings Automatic Updates Optional
The toggle button for automatic updates to be optional has been removed from my game settings. After the Market place fiasco that the Sims team has been releasing patches for the past week to fix, I am not sure why you all would remove that optional toggle button. The ONLY reason my game DID NOT CRASH causing me to lose everything last week is because I had my settings adjusted so that I can control removing my mods folder FIRST in offline mode. That option protects US (gamers) and YOU (EA creators) from things like Marketplace-Gate. MAY YOU PLEASE PLEASE PUT THE OPTION BACK. And if for some reason, you all think that mods are the main culprit of game crashes, let me be the first to say I just started using Mods, in mid January of 2026, less than 3mths ago. I switched recently because there are some really cute animations, jeans and hairstyles out there, so I finally caved. BUT ONE THING IS FOR SURE, my sims 4 game has been crashing on me since 2016, so it's not all on the Mods. The program is just way too big. Even when I played base game only on the Xbox with only the Sims 4 installed for 2 yrs, the base game only game crashed faithfully with every patch update causing me to start over every time and affecting my ability to even want to connect to my Sims and play out storylines. Modding this year actually made me start to like the game again. Again, please add the optional update toggle back into the settings.

Gameplay is worse with new update
After updated, my gameplay has been the worse it’s ever been! Game keeps crashing, my sims stand for hours doing nothing, infants popping out of crips, rentals still do not show up in the business panel yet I get notifications about my tenants. We keep getting all these updates but many people are still having issues! I’ve repaired the games, tried without mods & cc then did 50/50 method and finally got to the point where it doesn’t crash yet I still have all the issues listed above. I’ve paid for all the packs and I can’t even use all of them bc of the bugs and glitches 🙁No Option to Adopt Preexisting Sims
The Royalty & Legacy lesson on Adoption Updates says: "You may now Adopt an existing Sim as long as your Sim is of an older age bracket! This allows you to adopt Children, Teens, Young Adults and Adults. Adopting a Sim is a great way to enlarge your Household or even find an Heir for your Dynasty! To do so, the Sim you wish to Adopt must have only 1 other parent or no parents. Select the Sim you want to Adopt, then the Relationship interaction category, then Change Relationship. You may also have your Sim Ask to be Adopted by another Sim! This interaction is available in the Relationship category as well, and can be done by a Teen, Young Adult or Adult towards an older Sim they're close to." I have never seen this option. I have an Adult Sim and I've been trying to adopt some Teen Sims who had only one parent on their family tree, yet the Adopt option has never appeared. I've tried doing this while Best Friends with the Sim in question with a full relationship bar. I've tried doing this both when they were in the same household and when they were not. I've tried doing it when their other parent was in the same household and was not. I've tried doing it when my Sim was married to the teen's other parent and when they were not. I've looked under the Relationship, Parenting, and Friendly tabs. No matter what I've never seen any option for adopting someone else. The same goes for any Sim actually. I've had the same Sim be Best Friends with other younger Sims who had one or no parents, yet I've never seen any option for adoption available.
Which restaurants serve Experimental Cooking?
If I am not playing a restaurant owning sim how can my sim experience eating in a restaurant serving "Experimental Cooking"? Are there specifici restaurants in the Gallery I can download to my neighborhood so that my playable sim can go and buy this food and satisfy their Want? I don't feel like going to all the trouble of buying a restaurant, hiring all the staff, setting up all the menus, etc.Ondarion won't load after latest base game update.
Hello Fellow Simers! Im hoping someone can help me with this issue or provide a solution. I'm using a Mac and after the latest update my Ondarion world wont load. It goes to the world but its white and I can't do anything but return to the main game menu. The other worlds load just fine its just Ondarion and theres noI've tried uninstalling/reinstalling, deleting caches - the works - but nothing seems to work. Please HELP!
