Patch affects groups
After the patch some Sims are excluded from my groups - I know it exactly because I had 2 brothers in a fitness group and now one isn't a member any more though he hasn't aged. Also the groups points have fallen to zero, but don't be afraid: they come back after the first group actions. Most issues we have seen have twin births, but it can happen with a single birth as well. However, if you have the bug regardless of twins or a single births post all of your information. 1) Please post your DxDiag reports. We must have this information! How To: Option 1) Hit Windows Key + R to open the RUN box. Type in dxdiag and let it run (run in 64-bit if you have a 64-bit rig). Save the information as a text file to your desktop. Then cut/paste the information from the text file into a post here. Note: If you're running Win 8 or 8.1, the report is too big to put in one post. You'll have to break the report into sections. Please post between Spoiler tags. Option 2) Post your DxDiag report at pastebin.com instead of the thread with a link to the report. Saves a lot of room. Exception to the above are those that cannot post links. They're all onboard/integrated. I have rarely seen (looking at I don't know how many DxDiag reports), an Intel Graphics Card that meets the following... VIDEO CARD: 128 MB of Video RAM and support for Pixel Shader 3.0 or 2.0 Any Intel Graphics card with 128 MB VRAM (is an exception) 99.9% of them have 64 MB, 32 MB, or 0 MB of Virtual RAM aka VRAM. This is why the Intel Graphics Cards should have never ever been placed on the games Minimum System Reqs. They aren't meant for gaming and the same goes for Discreet, it's just a fancy way to say onboard/integrated. http://oi39.tinypic.com/33w9stj.jpg ANALYSIS!!! Basically, there are two issues involving Intel HD Graphics here. 1) Any Laptop or Desktop Intel card that is below the Min Syst Reqs of 128 MB of Video RAM. 2) Any Laptop that had dual graphics mix of Intel HD Graphics and either AMD/NVIDIA dedicated cards. In all these cases, (like always) the Intel integrated card will always be the default under Display Devices on the DxDiag Report. If there is a dedicated card it will list under System Devices. Users will have to manually assign their dedicated card via AMD Catalyst Control Center or NVIDIA Control Panel depending on the card. See - Sims 4 and Switchable Graphics: How to (Nvidia & AMD) However, depending on the Intel card they have in combo with the dedicated the game may still not recognize their dedicated card and default to the Intel. I tried this on my gaming laptop (a high end machine), and had some weird things happen. I enabled then relaunched the game. My sim had guest coming over that would come inside the house, turn around to ring the bell/knock on the door. Also, my game got a lot darker. I saved my game and disabled laptop mode. Relaunched the game and everything was back to normal. Grim Reaper Event Issue
In this ongoing grim event there is a task to read the newsletter from ambrosia society. My sim received it in mail but couldn't red it, the whole letter just disappeared from my inventory. This is frustrating because I cant get rest of the available rewards without completing this task. Is anyone else having the same issue? Sims 4 still broken after update 2024-07-23
Hello So even if there are 2 updates that has come out after july 23rd my game is still broken, I need to save almost every 2-3 minutes because suddenly only in-game interactions work - The bars at the right don't work, my sims work assignment don't work (I had a sim on the influencer careed and I made the work assignment 4 times in a row and it never updated - haven't tried it again but it was a frustration. When the interactions stop working I tried go inte build mode but I couldn't build anything and I couldn't change back to playmode - the only option is to terminate the game the hard way and start over. Are there any plans to fix the broken game? Because it is essentially unplayable - at least for enjoying the game - being paranoid and save every interaction because you know it will break at any moment isn't okey - sure we have had crash issues before but at least that is not this freakvent - I have played for about 30 minutes and I've had the interactions stop working 3-4 times so I had to redo most of the game several times. Right now I have a sim (child) which is suppose to age up - a bit scared I must admit :) I do have mods but I did uninstall them to see if the issue was fixed and it was not... and I have read multiple people have the same issue without mods ever installed. Skin Details Not Working After Recent Update
Hi, I recently updated my Sims 4 game and the skin details don't appear to be working. When I try to change the skin details of a pre-made sim from the gallery with custom content (or any new sim randomized in CAS), the changes only save to the everyday outfit, but for the other outfits (formal, athletic, sleep, etc.), the skin details with custom content are not saved. I discovered that I could make the same skin detail adjustments for each outfit category, but that's just tedious. This hasn't happened to me before, and I think it's due to the latest patch. Scare Seeker Lot Challenge issue
Hi, regarding the Reaper Rewards. I have a problem with applying the Scare Seeker Lot challenge to my lot as it does not show in the list. I claimed it last week, it shows claimed on the Rewards screen but still is not in my lot traits list to apply. I have 42 lot traits in my list yet the Scare Seeker trait is missing. My game is on PC, Win 10. I do not use mods. I have read a reply that this has happened to another person. Please respond if you have encountered this and were able to fix. July 23rd update wrecked my game
Since the July 23rd update my game has been filled with bugs, my sim can not adopt a child they walk to the front of their home lot and the action disappears same thing happens when I try to split from household. My game has crashed twice in the last 2 hours. And my sims panel in the left corner has gone completely grey with their moodlets an empty blue box, as well I’ve had my entire screen go black except for speech bubbles and I could not click out of the game. The Dine Out game still isn't working! The "together option isn't visible, IE Dance together, beachcomb together, Also requesting a table with a group or on a date. My Sim won't be seated to a table. Reaper Rewards: plant flowers tasks not completing--SOLVED
What do we do if the quest task won't clear? I've completed all my goals except for the "Plant Lily" and "Plant Snapdragon" ones, which won't go away--do we have to get them to flower and then pick them before they'll be marked as completed? I have removed my mods and cleared my cache files, so it doesn't seem to be a mod problem. EDIT: I got this to work after I went into Steam and verified my files twice--once to see that over 40 had failed and the second time fixed it. Reaper Quests won't show up

New update (9/18/24) game broken again...
I can't go into any of my households, it reminds me the update for Enamorada that CAS wasn't working and you had to force shut the computer to get out of the game. Every time I see an update my hope for a good game at home dies...last time I just didn't play for a while and then they fixed whatever bug it was...I will try in a couple of weeks again. I placed the Maxis Libraries from the Gallery into Oasis Springs and Newcrest while designing a new layout for a new game. My test sim was unable to find books in the cases in any of the libraries I placed. I thought it may have been a problem with the cases while placing the lot, so I replaced all the cases in each library that was added. I still have empty book cases. I tried all 3(?) maxis library lots with no luck. The only library to have books in the one that is set by the game. I would really like to have libraries in each town. Sims 4 error code 135
I've been looking around online and this code seems to indicate a problem w/ outdated mods...ok. BEFORE updating my game I copied my ENTIRE sims 4 folder into my external hard drive. Because I had this copy and access to the "save" I was playing at the time I did NOT delete anything out of the original folder. Instead I waited until the update was complete and a day or so later AFTER major mods such as MCCC, XML Injector, Ui etc were updated. To this date my original save that I was playing comes up with the above error. I've done the 50/50 mod search thing I and I believe I got rid of all of the "problems" that I'm aware of. I have a few other saves that I wasn't playing at the moment. These all load up fine. So I guess this means the original save got corrupted? I'm just confused because like I said earlier I made a copy of this before the update...so in a sense I should have a "fresh" save ready to go but this doesn't work either....can anyone advise what would cause a save to corrupt like this? If anyone else has experienced this issue, has there been a known fix yet? I've noticed that on heavily populated community lots and on speed 3, anything related to sims seems to stop working every few sim minutes or so. One minute, everyone's happily talking to each other, but then everything stops. However, I can move the camera around. Sims bob their heads, but they aren't doing any interaction animations. Then their interactions and animations resume, like nothing ever happened. Other things I've noticed is that the time jumps back into the past, and Speed 3 isn't as fast as before. This is probably because the game is switching on the LOW_PERFORMANCE clock type, which happens if the game clock and the actual time processed for sims, starts to desync. Another thing I've noticed is that if sims gain moodlets just before the delay happens, their emotion won't update until the delay is over. Thought bubbles seem to stop working during this "delay", and only start working again when the sims start to move again. For specifics, on my computer which is relatively fine, the time jumps back into the past, along with the LOW_PERFORMANCE clock type starting at about 18 seconds on speed 3. at the library venue, around noon. Here's the game's rating on my specs to give you a quick overview: What causes this desync? I think it may be the game getting overloaded with autonomy and routing, but I'm not a Sim Guru, so I don't know. Error w/ Grim Reaper Week 5
I apologize, this is my first time using the forums but I am trying to figure out if anyone else is having this issue. I have updated my game and when I started it up, the reaper awards event was acting like usual. I completed the first entire quest but the cooking quest disappeared after I completed the other one and hasn't come back so I can't complete week 5.
