Toddler and umbrellas
Since 'Adventure awaits' toddlers in the game are using umbrellas when it rains. The umbrellas are the same size as those used by children and adults. But the toddler's arm always is distorted when using it: Additionally the toddler glitches when closing the umberlla: Have you seen this in your game too? I wonder whether this is by design.
Cats and Dogs pack severe-constant bugs
Product: The Sims 4 Platform: PC Which language are you playing the game in? English How often does the bug occur? Frequently, anywhere between 5 minutes to 1-2 hours of gameplay. What is your current game version number? 1.111.102.1030 DX11 What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Horse Ranch, Vampires, Snowy Escape, Realm of Magic, Lovestruck, Island Living, Goth Galore, Get Together, Get to Work, Get Famous, Discover University, Cats and Dogs. Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Step 1.) Create Save file with 40 played sims/households. Step 2.) Have multiple Sims with maxed out all skills, and a vast majority of Aspirations completed, as well as excessive inventory items. Step 3.) Have any pets with a house full of items, and tight corners/small rooms near doorways, also with decks having stairways. Step 4.) Perform actions on pets such as "Feel the love" and "Go for a walk" and "Send Prowling/Hunting." Step 5.) Watch pets become "stuck" unable to move, and then become "Uncomfortable" due to being unable to move for long periods. (Note: While going on walks, the dogs start walking in areas of the map they shouldn't be able to walk, and the walk never ends. Both the sim walking the dog, and the dog itself become severely broken.) What happens when the bug occurs? Pets become "stuck" and unable to move. Pets clip through terrain and "fall" under the ground. What do you expect to see? Pets to behave normally, such as being able to move, and not traverse off the maps. Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? I did, but they have since been removed.. Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes, after installing Cats and Dogs. Please describe the patch or change you made. I downloaded Cats and Dogs expansion pack. I have also included the most recent bug I experienced after about 5-10 minutes of gameplay after doing all of the following: Make a backup of theSims4 folder in Documents\ElectronicArts to an external drive or a different place on your harddrive (or to a flash/external drive). This is only a backup if anything goes wrong. You won't need this folder for the further steps. Rename your theSims4 folder in Documents\ElectronicArts to Sims4_Backup Start the game (All your save games will be gone, your options will be reset to factory settings and all your custom content will be gone. Not to worry, it's all still there in that backup folder). You will also temporarily loose your event rewards. Those are saved in the file usersettings.ini. A new Sims 4 folder will have been recreated in your documents\electronicArts folder. Some folders might be missing for they are only created when you need them. You will need to start a new game for your old saves are still gone See if your error is gone. The Error is gone now Starting putting the folders back, starting with your saves. Check your game after every folder. The Tray folder contains all your downloaded houses and Sims that show in your library. AccountDataDB.package file contains the unlocked event rewards. Make sure to copy that back. Only put stuff back from your mods folder that is verified to still work. ALL custom content can potentially cause problems. If you found out which folder is causing problems, put your stuff back in groups or one by one until you find the guilty party. Not all folders need putting back. See this for what folder does what: User files explained Same Error still exists Either make your own post, following the guidelines here: Help us helpers to help you or if you already have one and were referred here, post there. ↑ Keeping your Computer updated Out-dated graphic and sound drivers, missing Windows Service Packs and other components that are not up-to-date can cause problems with your game. Make sure you you update those regularly. Computer maintenance is important. Defrag your Computer, clean your Registry and get rid of temporary files on a regular basis. Also clean the ventilators from time to time and if you have a desktop open it up and clean it inside. Backup your important files. That goes for your music, your photos as well as your Sims User Files. You'll find the user files in Documents\ElectronicArts. Copy the whole folder to an external drive. Use the cheat resetsim <firstname> <lastname> to reset a particular Sim in your town. You won't loose any progress, all it does is put the Sim to a safe location from where he can start acting again Restart the game or the computer Go traveling Go to Manage world and move your Sim out of his home and then back into the same one. If you have money troubles, use the cheat freerealestate. Load a backup game. Start a new game to see if the error is only happening in the current save game. Make sure to completely close down your game before starting a different game. Not just go to the main menu. Start the game in windowed mode (Note: I have performed all of the above that is applicable. Using "reset sim" did not fix the cat. After using the cheat code, the simply popped back up on the surface level, but still was unable to move. I had to force use the pet command to "call pet" the little whistle icon on the pets household picture.) I have seen frequent and ongoing issues with pets ever since installing Cats and Dogs. Both cats and dogs, especially while at the Vet Clinic, appear extremely broken, running against walls, becoming stuck, having to cancel and reapply actions and many other issues and glitches with both cats and dogs. The Maids are only cleaning the first floor.
Hello fellow Bust The Dust users, I noticed that whenever my Sims hire a maid, the dust on the other floors than the ground floor always gets ignored. Is this normal, and is there something my Sims could do to persuade the their hired maids to clean the whole house and not just the ground floor? I'm very close to renounce making my Sims live in multi-story houses. Neatest wishes to you all
Sims 4 event rewards disappeared
I don't have an error code or anything. I completed the Cozy Celebrations event on either Jan 3 or Jan 4, I don't quite remember. All the rewards were working perfectly until I updated the game today. I have done everything I can think of - restarted the game, restarted my PC, repaired the game through Steam, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, cleared the EA app's cache...Nothing worked. The support agent told me to report the bug here, so that's what I'm doing. It's as if somehow my event progress was simply erased from my account. The really strange thing is that it's ONLY affecting the Cozy Celebrations event. The Reaper's Rewards event stuff is all still working perfectly. How can I fix this and get my rewards back? edited title for visibility after merging threads. -puzzlezaddict
For Rent Lonely Cluster Mailbox
Hello Everyone, I have a quick question to ask about the For Rent mailboxes. To my understanding these were made to use solely for the rental residential lots. But then I noticed there is a singular mailbox called "Lonely Cluster Mailbox." Can this one be used on any residential lot or does it still require the use of a rental residential lot in order to function properly? Thank you for your help.
Toddlers food ends up on floor
After the Adventure Awaits expansion pack was installed, toddlers food ends up on the floor while eating from the highchair. The toddler doesn't have to push their food off the little table of the chair. Totally annoying. Someone please fix this. Version 1.118.257.1020 DX11.
Sims 4 Pack transfer
I used to play the sims 4 on my PC, but the drive recently failed so I've moved onto my XBOX. I have 14 packs that I've paid for on my EA account, and after linking my EA account with all of those packs they aren't showing up. It's been 2 hours since, ive checked the actual manage add-on settings and they arent there. What do i do?
Werewolf Ally questions and methods Help
So i've got the werewolf pack now and i've been loving it. But it's really a hassle for one of my werewolf sims to do well, wolfy things, around normal sims. They get so scared of her and her traits make it so she gets sad from this. I like her traits so i don't really want to change that. And honestly i don't mind when it's random sims. But she's got several normal sim friends and they (all but one of them) get scared when she's in wolf form. I want to give her friends the werewolf ally trait but it's really hit or miss and it takes a while. I tried looking up cheats for it but the only thing that I could find was a trait that made a sim Formerly a werewolf, howl included, and in that they become a werewolf ally. That's nice for other stuff such as story and what not, but it's not really what i need. So does anyone know of a cheat to just give sims the werewolf ally cheat, without making them former lycans, or just a method of getting the trait faster? Thanks for your time!
Lot stuck in permanent loading
Help! I have tried everything and nothing has worked at all. I have this one lot in my Very Veggie Legacy challenge where I placed a wedding venue that never properly worked. However, I hav been trying to replace it, but when I do it traps me in loading screens. I have repaired my game, replaced the lot in and out of build mode, sent a sim to the venue to see if it would work, everything. Each time, it never worked, and I did the out of build mode place a lot there, and its been almost two hours, where I left to eat lunch with a friend and came back to it STILL trying. And when I sent my sim over, I could bulldoze, but when I left build mode my entire game was frozen, but only actual gameplay, as all of the buttons could be pressed and used but no time would pass and my sim couldn't move. I have no mods, all base game besides the holiday pack, and I have a MacBook. I really don't wanna lose this save, but I desperately want this lot gone, as it is in a frankly awkward spot. Any help would be amazing, I don't think this counts as a bug since I know this has existed for years, but I have been trying since last night (October 15th) since around 11 PM.
[LD] Lasting Legacy Family Portrait flags building as CC
The "Lasting Legacy Family Portrait" from L&D causes the dreaded CC Wrench Icon to appear on my lots when I upload them to the gallery. You guys have no idea how long it took me to find the culprit. Edit By crinrict: Added Tag to Title, Adjusted Title
Nannies
The nannies won't go home and I keep dismissing them and they keep showing up in packs and they keep on forever making food and won't GTFO of the way so I can care for my helpless infants and babies!! Everytime I dismissed them it keeps taking money from me and if I keep dismissing them I'll be broke. Please fix this!! No I'm not on PC I'm playing on Xbox series XRemoving Residential Rental Glitch *endless loading*
I updated each world with new houses & everything. Each world I built an apartment in, afterwards I dealt with the "Neighboring Houses show as Default/Empty" glitch & with help from "pessyl92" I was able to fix the empty lots issue but now Im trying to figure ot how I can delete those lots anytime I try I get endless loading, I even did the gallery method & it didnt work. Is there a way to get rid of those lots?
Game froze/ crashed and showed a different household
So I was playing last night because of the event, even though I should not because I'm risking my saves. I played in my rotational save for all premade sims that is on round 16, now I believe the biggest reason it has made it so far is because I create a new save (when saving the game) least once a sims week (when I move on to another household), instead of just using the save button (also don't have much clutter and keep inventories at a minimum). Now, the game started to lag a lot in the second household I played for the game session. I did more of the "Save As", but it started lagging when going into build mode and exiting and then when playing. One sim got the action queue going on forever all of a sudden (you know when the light grey indication of the action queue keeps going up with nothing to fill it). And a child sims that just aged up get a strange reaction to the servo over and over, like he was stuck in a reaction glitch. I reset all sims but that did not work. A few minutes later then game froze completely. I waited about 5 minutes and then went to task manager. I have several desktop screens (or whatever they are called - windows 11) so when tabed out to another screen to click on task manager, I got back pushed back into viewing the game on the other desktop view. When that happened the game changed, now I was in another household (one I had played before), but it was still frozen and all that. It was so strange. It literally looked like that was the household I had been playing just when the game crashed. It was frozen like the other household, but I was actively plaing this house now. I repaired the game but have not looked at it since. for the game to "move me over to another earlier played households in the game", I'm wondering how this save/ that other household is in regards to corruption... I do not have AA but I noticed that they game go severely more unstable after I bought For Rent and Horse Ranch. For me though i'm not entirely sure For Rent/ resent update is all to blame. Maybe it is just simply me having so many packs/ sims 4 systems working at the same time. Althohg I do have the slow reaction in build mode when I build or am in a lot that is a residential rental. I have a decent PC by the way, so it is not a pc issue. Just wanted to mentioned that as I have come accross several issues on the forums that could be attributed to a low end pc (as well as game bugs). I play on pc with no cc or mods I have all expansions up til For Rent except High School Years All stuff packs All game packs except Dream Home Decorator and My Wedding Stories I only have a couple of kits that were free at one point
Getaway Timer Circle not showing up properly.
I thought this was a mod issue at first so I tried removing my mods until none are left and still experiencing this. My getaway timer circle (the circle that shows how many times left before the getaway ended) will either show a complete circle, or a full rounded circle occasionally. Nothing in between. I check some lets play video and it shows that the circle supposed to be progressively reducing, like how when you went on dates or vacation. Since Ive ruled out the mods by manually removing them, disabling mods in options and removing cache, is there anything in the settings that might affect this? Please advise.
Owning Freestanding Small Business created Permanent Live in Small Business
Hi! Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? So my Sim who lives on a Residential Lot purchased a Small business on a separate lot. They only own that one business and it is freestanding. Upon returning home, my sim now lives on a Small Business Residential without the option to change it back to a regular residential. Is this just how the game works? Am I doing something wrong? Is it a bug? Can a Sim who owns a freestanding Small Business on a separate lot not live in a regular residential? I have pics attached.Vampire powers and weaknesses
Hi, I have only just starting playing with vampires and have a vampire levelled up to prime vampire but I only have one power and am not able to gain anymore so I was just wondering how to fix this?? I do have enough power points by using cheats and levelling up but haven't been able to gain any more powers. Thanks
Multiple Occult Sim
My fairy sim and my werewolf sim had a child and he is both occults. He gets moodlets of growing fangs and young fairy coping with emotions. When I age him up, I get the pop up he is a new werewolf and a new fairy and doesn't specify occult type in CAS. He presents as a howling fairy. On top of this, both occult form and human form are completely different sims. This is with MODs (MCCC and UI cheats) and still happens after I have removed all mods
