March Update Mods Are Still Broken
My game wont open when i have big mods installed but only with cc. It wont open with mccc, panda Sama, lumpo, UI Cheats or even dancing or music mods, just regular makeup and clothing cc, and i know its not my mods Cuse i made sure that they were updated after this update. help fix this please. i tried ea app recovery, re-pairing my game and even doing the whole make a new sims 4 game file and nothing is working. we need a fix cuse i wont play this game anymore if i cant have some mods. i put to much money into this game for it to be happing...ea fix this please...😡
Fix for Owned Packs Showing Up as Unowned in SIMS 4 Game Mode
I spent days and finally found a solution to this that EA or any other support forum will not tell you. If you use OneDrive you have to go to your One Drive Icon in the menu bar far right bottom corner, go to settings and make sure to go to "Manage Backup" and turn off "Documents" back up, otherwise when you play the game EA looks at your files in one drive and not the files that are on your "C:\Program FIles\EA Games\The Sims 4 folder. You first need to uninstall everything, your EA App and SIMS4 program file. Then go to EA and download the App and when you run all your packs will download again. Now that your OneDrive is turn off for Documents, everything will get redirected to your C drive and your Desktop Documents. I highly recommend do not turn back on OneDrive for backing up your documents or it will redirect everything again in there and when you run EA it will show your packs as unowned again. Hope this helps, I thought it was worth posting because its a deep dive fix that is not easy to figure out.
I’m getting error whenever I’m in build mode
Hi, new player here 🥲 Since the last update I couldn’t decide if I should update or not. I’m currently using sims 4 in offline mode and I can make characters and I can’t seem to build anything! I’m trying to change the high school lot but it gives me error and I also can’t put any residential lots from gallery to my game either. Should I just update the game??? I’m afraid cause everyone seems to be saying their mod and cc doesn’t work and they had to delete. Idk what to do, please help!!Game not saving properly / reverting to older save (mods + removed CC issue)
Hi, I’m having an issue where my game appears to save, but when I exit and come back, it loads an older version instead of my latest progress. I’m playing on a MacBook Pro 16-inch (2021) and I do use mods: - **bleep** - MC Command Center (I had autosave on before but turned it off) I also previously had a custom content drink machine by LittleBubbo that was showing as broken in Better Exceptions, but I have since removed both the CC and Better Exceptions from my Mods folder. What I’ve already tried: - Turning off MCCC autosave - Removing Better Exceptions - Deleting the broken CC - Deleting localthumbcache.package - Using “Save As” instead of just Save The issue is still happening where my progress doesn’t stick after I reload the game. Game version: (you can fill this in from the bottom right of your main menu) Could this be leftover data from the removed CC, a mod conflict, or a corrupted save file? What steps should I take next to fix this? Thanks in advance!
gallery issues
I haven't been able to find if anyone else is having this issue but my gallery is missing all my recent saves (I see saves listed at the top from 2022). And households and builds aren't saving either. If anyone else have been having the issue, have you figured out a fix for it? Thank you.
Partners turned into siblings
I had a lesbian couple in one of my households and after the update they were no longer married. Is EA trying to hint at their no longer supporting the LGBTQ community since their purchase by the Saudis? I had heard the game now was making married couples into siblings and you can't go in and change them back to romantic couples. That is pretty heavy handed on someone at EA.
I can't play anymore after I turned the mods off
After the latest update (March 17, 2026), my game would not let me play at all. Every time I tried, I got an "error: failed to launch" message from the EA App. I clicked manage and repair so many times, but nothing worked, or if it did, it was only for a handful of minutes, not hours. When I finally did get into the game, the whole interface was shrunk. It's way too small for me to read pop-ups or menus, etc. I don't know how that happened. Also, I keep getting a pop-up saying one or more packs have been uninstalled, but I didn't uninstall anything. And, it has also slowed the speed of the game down significantly with lag. I switched mods off and tried to reload back into the game, thinking maybe that was the problem, but now I can't even play at all. The play button is grayed out for me, and I can't click repair or uninstall, only manage add-ons and view properties.
Install File Location Auto-Changing
Is anyone else having a problem where the game isn’t loading because it’s pulling from the wrong location? I went into my settings in the EA app to manually change it but it never updates the link. I even tried copying the correct folder into the file path it’s pulling from and it creates a folder that doesn’t work :( because of this I haven’t even been able to play! I also tried uninstalling & repairing the game and nothing has worked so far. I noticed this happened after the recent update. Does anyone have any tips/advice/suggestions on how to fix this?
How do I stop lessons from displaying on login?
I got Business and Hobbies and it keeps showing me lessons (I think that's what these pop ups are) when I log in. What they are about changes but they are all about B+H content: I have all tutorials and lessons disabled. How do I stop these messages when I start the game? No, removing mods doesn't help.
Random skin replacement: purple and flames design
One of my characters now has purple skin that becomes a flame detail near the arms. Hands and arms are yellow, orange, and red flames. It’s not a tattoo. It’s not custom content, that’s disabled. It doesn’t change in CAS. Sim doesn’t have an ailment or curse.
Okay, Now I'm Stumped. HELP
The parents in my game have been married to each other, since I first created them. Somehow, however, between the time my previous iteration went bust, and I picked up a save from a much earlier time, to begin playing Cantrell Chronicles. My couple is no longer married. Say, what? I took them into CAS just now to amend the situation, realizing they would have the newlywed's thing going on, but it's better than both of them living in sin, if you will. Sadly, what I read some complain about has now happened to me. Can't change Sims who already exist. Really? I mean really. I have done so in the past. I'm really not wishing to go back to where I began, recently, with the family just arriving in Ondarion. (Mind you, I would keep the opening chapter.) But that's a great deal of game time. Since I'm only doing the 'Save As' with each gaming session, whether I shut down in between for whatever reason, I know I've been playing this iteration as of today for 14 days. If you were me, and this happened in your game or something else that would bug you, what would you do? Please, I hate to be so very needy, but this has me twisting inside --- not a good idea given my 'condition'. GalacticGal honestly does not wish to get sick like that again! Stress is a factor. If starting again, I do know some things I would do better. But, like I said, so much has gone on in my game, that I really, really, really don't want to go there yet again. I just need somebody to talk me off of this virtual wall, if you will. Please, and thank you, in advance. ~GalacticGal
Sims napping instead of sleeping, even at night.
My sims will default to napping when they have low/no energy instead of sleeping. Some. yes, will use their assigned bed but will default to napping, even at night. I saw someone mention this 11 years ago, that they will nap during the day and sleep at night, yet it's still an issue? It's not just one household, but literally every sim. It's annoying having to constantly make sure they are being "realistic" in their energy levels and having to change them from napping to sleeping.
