Grim Reaper Event Issue
In this ongoing grim event there is a task to read the newsletter from ambrosia society. My sim received it in mail but couldn't red it, the whole letter just disappeared from my inventory. This is frustrating because I cant get rest of the available rewards without completing this task. Is anyone else having the same issue? Can this be fixed?
Grim Reaper Event still not working
Hello, I am making a new discussion post because a lot of the grim reaper posts have been marked as "fixed" but my game is most def not fixed. Like others from the past, my ambrosia letter was delivered successfully to my sim. I opened and read the letter, then all of my quests at the top left of my screen disappeared. little grim reaper is still there but none of the quests are. When I click on grim it just sends me back to the rewards page for the event, there I can confirm that I have only completed the first event from the first week. Everything else is still open but not showing up on my screen. I have tried repairing my game, I have moved to a new lot. I have started a new family. Nothing is working. The last reward I have received is the cook book.
reapers rewards broken
ever since the beginning of the reapers rewards event, my game has been broken in various different ways. the first thing i noticed was that once i completed a task, and received a notification saying i can claim a reward, the button promoting for me to open the event ui doesn’t do anything, and when going to the events menu on the main screen, i still can’t claim anything as it wants me to claim them in live mode. i then thought to ignore that issue for the time being and instead focus on just completing the tasks first. however, the tasks to plant a lily and a snapdragon won’t recognise as completed. initially i thought it may have been because the lily was out of season in my game, however, even when moving them indoors to a greenhouse, neither of the flowers were recognised as being planted, so i couldn’t progress. i also experienced issues when building the greenhouse for this task. my game seemed to be glitched, and wouldn’t allow me to remove any objects. if i clicked on them, it would highlight them and make the sound as if they had been removed, but they stayed there, and it was impossible to delete them. finally, when it came to shutting down my game to look for solutions online, neither the exit, or save and exit options would work. the exit button wouldn’t do anything, and the save and exit button left me in an endless saving loading screen. i thought maybe my mods caused an issue as i have quite many, but even after removing my entire mods folder out of the game, the issues still persisted. i’ve seen a few things about solutions other people found if they have the game from steam, however my game is from the ea app, so none of those solutions are possible for me.July 23 update ruined my game
i don't know what to do, from one point the game looks like it's working while in CAS or build mode, but when I want to start playing with sims, they don't respond to anything and just stand in place and don't react or do anything but their emotion bar (happiness, hunger ect.) goes down, I tried rebuging them and repairing the game, but they are still unresponsive, so it's kinda unplayable. So really waiting for another update to fix these issues 😑.
Scare Seeker Lot Challenge issue
Hi, regarding the Reaper Rewards. I have a problem with applying the Scare Seeker Lot challenge to my lot as it does not show in the list. I claimed it last week, it shows claimed on the Rewards screen but still is not in my lot traits list to apply. I have 42 lot traits in my list yet the Scare Seeker trait is missing. My game is on PC, Win 10. I do not use mods. I have read a reply that this has happened to another person. Please respond if you have encountered this and were able to fix. Thanks
How do I opt out of the Reaper event?
More power to everyone who is having fun, but I'm not. This event does not interest me, the rewards don't appeal to me, and the pop-ups interrupt my gameplay. So far, the only advice I've gotten is to just run through the Reaper challenges as fast as possible on a throwaway save, to get it out of the way. There is no (obvious) way to just say "Um, thank you, but no thank you" and avoid the entire experience. Ironically, I'm more tempted to STOP playing Sims until this whole thing is over.
Even after update yesterday, Grim Rewards still not working
I've updated my game. I've also repaired my game but I cannot continue with grim rewards. I have the icon in the top left of the little grim reaper guy, however when I click on it, I only get sent to the rewards screen and am not shown any objectives. I've also tried deleting the 'online thumbnail cache' folder as I've seen that helped some people online, but that has not worked for me. I've also tried creating an game and that didn't work. The only other idea I have is to uninstall and reinstall but I'm hesitant to do so because after the update on 9/18/2024 I was having a whole other issue of not being able to open my game. I have no mods currently and haven't had any since I reinstalled from the last update.
New update (9/18/24) game broken again...
I can't go into any of my households, it reminds me the update for Enamorada that CAS wasn't working and you had to force shut the computer to get out of the game. Every time I see an update my hope for a good game at home dies...last time I just didn't play for a while and then they fixed whatever bug it was...I will try in a couple of weeks again. Game crashes
Sims 4 ,since the 24th July, after update and downloading Lovestruck my game crashes and will not reload, keep getting the game failed to load error code 123:ca87cde3:9334dda9 . It is recommended that you relaunch the game , ive done that several times ,restarted the computer, I've cleared the cash, no mods, will have to come out of the game ,turn off the computer and wait before I restart, I'm currently playing Discover University . Can anyone please help .
