Grim Reaper Event Issue
In this ongoing grim event there is a task to read the newsletter from ambrosia society. My sim received it in mail but couldn't red it, the whole letter just disappeared from my inventory. This is frustrating because I cant get rest of the available rewards without completing this task. Is anyone else having the same issue? Reaper's Rewards Event Blank
I began the Reaper's Rewards Event today and I did several of the quests. I exited out of the save and when I opened it again, now there is no quests at all. I still see the reaper's event and both tabs are on "A Call Away" and "Assistant to the Grim Reaper" but there are no quests underneath. I tried closing out the game and re-opening, opening a different household, and starting a new save but it still is blank. I can't continue on with any quests. Sims 4 still broken after update 2024-07-23
Hello So even if there are 2 updates that has come out after july 23rd my game is still broken, I need to save almost every 2-3 minutes because suddenly only in-game interactions work - The bars at the right don't work, my sims work assignment don't work (I had a sim on the influencer careed and I made the work assignment 4 times in a row and it never updated - haven't tried it again but it was a frustration. When the interactions stop working I tried go inte build mode but I couldn't build anything and I couldn't change back to playmode - the only option is to terminate the game the hard way and start over. Are there any plans to fix the broken game? Because it is essentially unplayable - at least for enjoying the game - being paranoid and save every interaction because you know it will break at any moment isn't okey - sure we have had crash issues before but at least that is not this freakvent - I have played for about 30 minutes and I've had the interactions stop working 3-4 times so I had to redo most of the game several times. Right now I have a sim (child) which is suppose to age up - a bit scared I must admit :) I do have mods but I did uninstall them to see if the issue was fixed and it was not... and I have read multiple people have the same issue without mods ever installed. Grim Reaper Event still not working
Hello, I am making a new discussion post because a lot of the grim reaper posts have been marked as "fixed" but my game is most def not fixed. Like others from the past, my ambrosia letter was delivered successfully to my sim. I opened and read the letter, then all of my quests at the top left of my screen disappeared. little grim reaper is still there but none of the quests are. When I click on grim it just sends me back to the rewards page for the event, there I can confirm that I have only completed the first event from the first week. Everything else is still open but not showing up on my screen. I have tried repairing my game, I have moved to a new lot. I have started a new family. Nothing is working. Grim Reaper Rewards Event
Just got the rewards event, and started playing and I already have issues. It says to plant snapdragon and lily and I have tried multiple times, inside and outside and the reward does not register. Reaper's Rewards Event - Still not working
FYI: I'VE GOT NO MODS OR CC SO THAT WILL NOT BE THE ISSUE FOR ME! I've tried everything I can find on the forms... I'm still not getting anything after the update. So week 1: I could start event and finish some of the quests (see attached of my progress). I didn't have time to play for too long so I turned game off and then when I came back to play I couldn't see any quests. Week 2: So Here we are at week two... I'm still missing this part of the game: This is still how it looks after update for me: I've really tried everything on the forums.... reapers rewards broken
ever since the beginning of the reapers rewards event, my game has been broken in various different ways. the first thing i noticed was that once i completed a task, and received a notification saying i can claim a reward, the button promoting for me to open the event ui doesn’t do anything, and when going to the events menu on the main screen, i still can’t claim anything as it wants me to claim them in live mode. i then thought to ignore that issue for the time being and instead focus on just completing the tasks first. however, the tasks to plant a lily and a snapdragon won’t recognise as completed. initially i thought it may have been because the lily was out of season in my game, however, even when moving them indoors to a greenhouse, neither of the flowers were recognised as being planted, so i couldn’t progress. i also experienced issues when building the greenhouse for this task. my game seemed to be glitched, and wouldn’t allow me to remove any objects. if i clicked on them, it would highlight them and make the sound as if they had been removed, but they stayed there, and it was impossible to delete them. finally, when it came to shutting down my game to look for solutions online, neither the exit, or save and exit options would work. the exit button wouldn’t do anything, and the save and exit button left me in an endless saving loading screen. i thought maybe my mods caused an issue as i have quite many, but even after removing my entire mods folder out of the game, the issues still persisted. i’ve seen a few things about solutions other people found if they have the game from steam, however my game is from the ea app, so none of those solutions are possible for me.eliasthemango2 months agoSeasoned Newcomer3.4KViews20likes11CommentsCan't Request Table DineOut
So after the update anytime that my sims go on a date to any restaurant every time you request a table the host doesn't take you to the table anymore and the sims are all just standing there doing nothing. Hi, regarding the Reaper Rewards. I have a problem with applying the Scare Seeker Lot challenge to my lot as it does not show in the list. I claimed it last week, it shows claimed on the Rewards screen but still is not in my lot traits list to apply. I have 42 lot traits in my list yet the Scare Seeker trait is missing. My game is on PC, Win 10. I do not use mods. I have read a reply that this has happened to another person. Please respond if you have encountered this and were able to fix. How do I opt out of the Reaper event?
More power to everyone who is having fun, but I'm not. This event does not interest me, the rewards don't appeal to me, and the pop-ups interrupt my gameplay. So far, the only advice I've gotten is to just run through the Reaper challenges as fast as possible on a throwaway save, to get it out of the way. There is no (obvious) way to just say "Um, thank you, but no thank you" and avoid the entire experience. i don't know what to do, from one point the game looks like it's working while in CAS or build mode, but when I want to start playing with sims, they don't respond to anything and just stand in place and don't react or do anything but their emotion bar (happiness, hunger ect.) goes down, I tried rebuging them and repairing the game, but they are still unresponsive, so it's kinda unplayable. Reaper Rewards event is broken.
Like many other people the Reaper Reward event is broken for me; I am on Xbox Series X and was only able to complete week 1. Then the quests part of the UI disappeared and I got stuck on Become Friends with Grim Reaper portion of the event and can no longer progress through any of the rest of the event. I can open the portion of the Event UI that shows me the rewards and tells me what goals need to be completed, but the actual quest portion itself does not show up no matter what I try to do to fix it. There seems to be 0 fixes for console players and I've attempted playing offline, starting new saves, deleting save files, going through game settings and options then disabling and reenabling them, and even went so far as uninstalling and reinstalling the entire game and all my packs. The silence for assisting console players in this well known issue is staggering and speaks volumes; Our time and money is clearly not valued. Absolutely nothing has worked to fix this issue and it feels extremely unfair at this point with 16 days left in the event and the complete inability to progress at all with no way to fix it in sight. Especially being stuck at halfway through Week 2 for me. Are the event prizes just going to be unlocked for everyone with all of these known issues? If not, then I am most likely just going to end up quitting the game at this point and selling off my account because so much money has been spent just to keep having game playability issues, it's absolutely infuriating and has completely robbed me of being able to enjoy the game anymore. It's incredibly disappointing to see the Sims devolve entirely into a cash grab for EA when I have been playing since Sims 1. Even after update yesterday, Grim Rewards still not working
I've updated my game. I've also repaired my game but I cannot continue with grim rewards. I have the icon in the top left of the little grim reaper guy, however when I click on it, I only get sent to the rewards screen and am not shown any objectives. I've also tried deleting the 'online thumbnail cache' folder as I've seen that helped some people online, but that has not worked for me. I've also tried creating an game and that didn't work. The only other idea I have is to uninstall and reinstall but I'm hesitant to do so because after the update on 9/18/2024 I was having a whole other issue of not being able to open my game. July 23rd update wrecked my game
Since the July 23rd update my game has been filled with bugs, my sim can not adopt a child they walk to the front of their home lot and the action disappears same thing happens when I try to split from household. My game has crashed twice in the last 2 hours. And my sims panel in the left corner has gone completely grey with their moodlets an empty blue box, as well I’ve had my entire screen go black except for speech bubbles and I could not click out of the game. Reaper’s Rewards Not Working on ~Console~
I have noticed this issue is happening a ton but I only see fixes for PC, not console. I can not access Reaper’s Rewards at all for Week 3. There are no plumbobs in the upper left corner to indicate the tasks that need to be completed, only a small icon of the Reaper that lets me see the rewards when I click it. This has been an issue the whole week. It seems most people are able to solve the problem by deleting a folder but I can’t do that on a PS5 and I’m worried I’m going to miss my window to get the available items this week. Fingers crossed! I have done everything to get this event to work. I have repaired my game, I have deleted the accounts data file, took out and disabled mods, I even deleted my entire sims 4 file from the electronic arts folder and played a fully vanilla game and still NOTHING. I can see the little grim icon but the plumbob icons that are supposed to be above it are nowhere to be seen so I can't access the event tasks. The only thing I haven't done is uninstalling and reinstalling the game but I would like to avoid doing that since it would take HOURS. Sims 4 Life and Death - Angry Ghost Moodlet After Out Of Body Experience
I created a new Sim so I could try out the latest expansion and I made her a Macabre Sim who was employed in the Undertaker career. There apparently is a little mystery you have to do with the Mortician career track and I needed to become a ghost to try and solve it. I had her go into the Baleful Bog to have an Out of Body Experience and when she came back from that, she was left with becoming angry all the time. The moodlet just keeps appearing after it goes away. I'm not sure if it's a game bug or not but has anyone else been experiencing that in their game?
