Simple suggestion for developers
I greatly appreciate that the game remembers my choice of plants from one play of arena and/or penny to the next as well as the reload feature. I do find it annoying that they don't persist if one does a plant selection in some other section such as plant of the week. Why not have each area have it's own memory...surely that would be easy to implement and consume negligible resources. E.g. I select my plants for the arena and select different plants for penny pursuit and when I return to arena, it's set of plants is remembered. Hi! New to forum! AND from the topics I've seen so far, seems no one else is having an issue w/ this. So, I hope that means I'll get a quick & ez response. I've been stocking up on a lot of Mints for plant seed purchases. And while I was seeing this before, lately (the past few wks) PVZ2 isn't giving me any options to use my Mints. They're only showing that u can purchase seeds through either real money or 💎. I thought maybe I'd accidentally changed something in settings at first, but, after checking a few times, I don't see anywhere in settings that I could have done that. In the past, I finished the game completely on an iPhone 13, on the game center I have the final achievement "Present perfect, Future tense" and when I switched to an iPhone 14 and installed the game, I no longer have the save. On the game center it shows me that I have the last achievement but the save is not there. Long story short, I was playing the game normally then log off for few hours and when I came back to play the game, my resources just multiplied (including coins, gems, mints, sprouts, fuels, and even points in arena) and when I close the app then return to the app, its just keeps multiplying. Few hours passed after I played the game then I take a break and when I reopen the game, the game is now crashing and won't let me play. I keep repeating like opening the app and still, it keeps crashing like it wasn't supposed too. I am playing in a really old phone (Version 8.1). I swear I did not cheat as cheating is unethical, maybe it's my phones fault? or maybe it's the servers fault? Please help me. This happened so suddenly and I am so lost right now as this game is my childhood as I started playing like 6 years ago and this account I've been playing for 4 years and now I can't even play it. Today, my pvz2 progress has all been wiped after I haven't played it for over a month. When I first clicked on the app, it forced me to update to the latest version, which I did. However, when I reentered the app, I found out that all my progress was suddenly gone. I had to play the tutorial and once I completed that, it gave me no option to restore my progress. That was different from the norm. After that, I redownloaded the app and restarted my iPad to see if my progress had returned. It hasn't and this really concerned me. When I check my player ID, I found it to be the same as when I took a screenshot of it years ago. The only thing different is that my progress has all been gone despite the player ID being the same. I know that in the past, I have connected and backed up my progress to both Game Center and EA. Game Center still shows the dates that I have completed the achievements for pvz2. I have also chatted with support today and opened a case. They told me that there's a problem on their end since they are facing technical issues. I'm told to contact them back in 24 hours, much to my disappointment. Everything that I had in my account is extremely sentimental to me, since it was all the progress I had made from my childhood to present day. In fact, Game Center said that I have first completed the tutorial on August 24th, 2013. That is over 10 years ago. It's a long time. For those who have lost progress, here is what I've done to restore it
I've lost all game progress three times now with PVZ updates. I managed to get the first two times restored and am now working on the third time. FIRST TIME - progress lost December 8. I created a case and followed up via email 9 times as my case kept being put on "Waiting for Customer Response" for some reason. I took some poster's advice and started following up via chat after over two weeks of this nonsense produced no results. I eventually got someone on chat who restored my progress. I was locked out of the game for just under three weeks, missing out on gems, a new plant, and being demoted from Jade league. Not a happy camper. SECOND TIME - progress lost January 25. This was during the migration of the forums to the new platform and posts were unavailable and help was a little crazypants to find. Chat options were disabled or hidden. Lost progress help prompts took you to the same article about linking accounts without giving you an option to submit a case (my account is linked to game center on my IOS devices and following the tips did not fix it). It took four follow up emails from me (with each response asking me the same questions and asking me to attach a screenshot of my player ID each and every time), but got my progress restored after the fourth email. The help advisor said he made an adjustment to my account, and there it was. Didn't miss out on the new plant, but got demoted and missed out on gems and the new plant is at a lower level than I usually manage. THIRD TIME - progress lost 4/15. This time, I'm seeing notes on the site that EA can't or won't help restore progress??? (At this point I'm feeling like a class action lawsuit might change some attitudes). Any attempts to pursue a restore progress in the help tree do not produce options to start a case or chat. They take you to the article. I went to log-in help and was able to submit an email to start a case (or so I thought). I sent off the information with a subject line of restore progress. I found it curious I didn't get an automated response and when I checked my cases this morning, there was no case syarted in spite of me submitting one. I once again went to the log-in help page and started a chat this time, again with a subject line of lost progress. When I hit submit, it did not start a chat and took me back to the same page. I tried again with a generic subject line of just needing help for PVZ 2 and got connected via chat. After explaining the issue, the rep said that they got lots of reports of this and it would be magically fixed at some point (Boy have I heard this one before). I asked her what status she would put my case on and she said "Waiting for Fix". This is the status you want your case on as it will prompt advisors to reach out to you if it stays on that status too long. You'll want to monitor your status constantly as they will put it on "waiting for info" randomly, then close it. Now starts again the dance of me following up via email and chat every other day. EDIT - I just looked at my case I started not even 15 minutes ago and it is on WAITING FOR PLAYER, not 'waiting for fix' like the advisor said. Because of course it is. Anybody else having an issue with the events items? Every time I go to the daily activities and click the Event tab it shows that I completed this event about Filament and the reward is 10 coins. I collect then exit from the daily activities. The activity icon immediately has a red mark showing that I have completed something. I go in and look and it is the filament task again. It does this every time. Every now and then it will show the event as having 3 levels I need to play. After I play just 1 it shows the event completed and I'm back in the loop again. No other events have been there for the past week. my game soft locked after an animation break. After a Wild West stage, an animation that unlocks the Penny Pursuit mode started, but I ended up closing the game before finishing it. As soon as I opened the game again, the modes page became inoperative. I can't select the adventure mode or the Penny Pursuit. Only the arena mode works. I've already contacted EA support, uninstalled it, cleared the cache, and they asked for my ID to change the account, but nothing worked. I honestly didn't want to lose the account. I played the game a while ago on a different phone but since then I have gotten a new one ( a revvl 6x 5g) and decided to redownload it, however since downloading it won't open at all, like it'll get as far are going to the choose your age screen for a few seconds and then crash, and won't open or do anything. Is there a way fix this? PvZ2 is a decent game but it has a lot of problems and here is a list of them: 1°: Penny's pursuit levels are very repetitive and we haven't had new ones for a long time. 2°: It's been a while since we've seen new zombies and this makes the events very repetitive 3°: the events do not have much variety, like conveyor levels and Last Stand are never in this events.
