saved household won't show up
I logged into sims yesterday, and it wasn't letting me click on any object or sim. I did some research and someone on an ea forum said to fix this glitch, I should move my electronic arts folder from finder to desktop. I did so, and when I started up sims again, everything was gone as if I had just started the game. My mods were gone as well, but what I really care about is my household. Both of my households are gone. I tried copying them into a new sims file, renaming it, and placing it back into finder, but my old saves are nowhere to be found.
Update Won't Load My Save Files
I've not opened my game since last week. Upon hearing the noise surrounding the marketplace release, I open my game to find NONE of my sims where accessible in the gallery. All my Save files have been located on my desktop, so why aren't I able to play my sims as normal?
horrendous black squares appearing beneath Sim
Hello, Whenever I want to put the Lighting on 'Medium/High/Very High', a black square flickers underneath my Sims when I have my cursor over them. (photo included), it is jarring and makes the game feel buggy. I bought my iMac in 2026, this should not be a problem with the computer being unable to do something, although it might be a MacOS and Sims compatibility problem. I have tried removing all of my mods, nothing, repairing the Sims 4, nothing, changing the SSAO in the .sgr, nothing. I have tried asking AI and it just tells me to do what I have already tried. I don't use a CC overlay, mostly just the base game and a few packs here and there.. The only thing that seems to work is using 'Laptop Mode ON', but I do not want to use Laptop Mode ON, the entire point of having a good computer is that I don't have to have the game look terrible. I figure either EA doesn't know about this problem, or Mac users are just giving in to the Laptop Mode. I don't know what to make of this.I copied and moved my save and tray files from another mac but its not working.
Hi, I play sims 4 mainly on an older, 2013 computer, but the EA app has been taking a bit of a toll on it's speed so I decided to maybe move it to my new mac (don't worry, if relevant i haven't deleted it from my old one yet). I copied the tray and saves folders and put them on the new computer, but instead of dragging the files in I went "there is already a file called (this) in the sims 4. Replace? Keep both?" and selected replace. I think i made a mistake, i can't undo it... :p I restarted the game multiple times and nothing's changed. I was hoping to play 2 particular worlds I made :^Forever loading
Help! Yesterday, my game went onto a load page and hasn't gone back. I'm not able to shut off the game, and I'm relatively new to Sims and using a Mac, so I'm not 100% sure on how everything works. I hope not to lose my progress on things. I've also recently had problems with Sims freezing, but time progressed, I ignored it as I thought it was my wifi or something. I cannot find the repair button in the EA app. Even pressing quit in the dock won't work. Please help :(Freezing every two seconds on mac
Everything was working fine with my royalty and legacy save until the most recent update and now the game is freezing every two seconds. Please help :( my game is totally unplayable! zero mods or cc and I already repaired the game and tried different or new save files
Mac cursor showing instead of in-game
Every time I load the game the in game cursor doesn't show up and it only shows my own mac one. I took my whole mod folder out and it is still showing, I have tried changing my resolution and windowing my game but nothing seems to be working. I've attached a video showing the issuesims 4 won't launch (Mac)
so I was just having my daily game Time, until I closed my game. And later that day when I tried to open/launch it it just wouldn't. moved away all my mods (even tho I didn't download anything) and even tried repairing like 5 times already. it won't open launch but says I "played " the game...(the counting minutes/hours number did not rise) haven't played since 23th. playing on Mac, haven't tried re-downloading the game cuz it takes like 2 days. does anybody have any tips or solutions I would be BEYOND grateful I have a about 3 weeks till I need to leave the country would like to play on the plane. ea app normally opens.Freezing and not placing objects
My game has frozen when I tried to save all 3 times I played in the past week. It will start when I try to place an object or delete something and it does not work. Like the object wont place/ the object won't delete. Then, I'll try to save and it will be loading forever until I have to force quit. It will also load indefinitely when i do manage worlds without saving. I have repaired the game and restarted everything, it keeps happening. Thanks! PS I have never used mods, and just got 3 new packs.
Game lags significantly after downloading royalty and legacy
After downloading the royalty and legacy pack, my game now lags significantly. Even with extra storage space freed up on my computer, it became almost unplayable if I was playing my legacy household that currently has 8 sims. Unless I have 1 sim with a very modestly furnished household, the game lags constantly even in 1x speed. I saw online other people were having this issue too, and this only started for me after the past 2 updates and downloading the new pack. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, repairing the game and all packs, and turned the graphics quality down to medium. It also occasionally freezes for short periods of time and takes extra loading time now. Does anyone have any advice??
My 'The Sims 4 Packs' Folder Is Missing
Hello! So, I was playing the sims as normal but I can't find my packs folder. I've looked everywhere and tried anything. I am also on a different device (I usually use a MacBook, now I'm on an iMac.) then what I usually play on. I have tried everything but I still cannot find it. Please help!Sims 4 Crashing on my Mac
I can load into the game fine, but after about five minutes of gameplay, it freezes, crashes, then force restarts my mac. I have tried removing all mods, starting a completely fresh game by renaming the old game file, and repairing through the EA app. This last attempt to fix was temporarily successful for about 24 hours but now the issue has returned, I have tried repairing again but with no luck, is anyone else having this issue or know how to solve it?
