How close are you to giving up with Battlefield 6 due to cheaters and netcode? I'm very close to giving up and going back to call of duty. Many matches suffer from an imbalance in effort between the two teams. In many cases, players are choosing to work toward completing challenges rather than choosing to attempt to win the match. This creates tension between teammates and reduces the overall fun and competitiveness in matches. I believe players are incentivized to do this for 2 reasons 1) completing challenges is fun and 2) completing challenges earns rewards. I propose that EA add an option for all game types that disables the completion of challenges but increases the amount of XP (weapon and player level)) earned by player actions (kills, captures, revives, etc.) to make up for the benefits lost by de-activating challenges. This will incentivize players to play to win, instead of playing to complete challenges that exist independent of helping their team to victory. This will create 2 ecosystems for players, one where people are playing to win the match, and one where people are playing to complete challenges or generally to goof around. This will in some ways provide the "ranked vs unranked" experience present in many games that most gamers are familiar with and enjoy. Ideally this can be toggled by players on the multiplayer menu so we don't have to navigate through 2 different versions of every mode in the game. Perhaps there's a branding in opportunity in what we call each mode to get people excited for the change. Please do this. Everyone wants to goof around and play specific strategies sometimes, and at other times be able to lock in, adapt to a situation, and try to win a match. Disclaimer: I have hidden the names in the attached screenshots as I was not in anonymous mode and do not want to attract attention towards particular individuals, despite my obvious displeasure for what they have done. I just want the numbers to speak for themselves. The screenshots were taken from a match of Conquest on Manhattan Bridge, though I have seen similar patterns on other maps. I want to open up a discussion regarding aerial vehicles and HQ spawns. Too many times have I seen games where aerial vehicles, if their pilots are minimally good, they will singlehandedly dominate the other team while they have no chance to fight back. This is an issue predominantly on maps with attack helicopters and enough vertical obstacles (hills, buildings) that make it impossible to acquire a missile lock and small arms damage does virtually nothing, because the obstacle will impede lock for long enough that the can just stay out of the way long enough for countermeasures to get off cooldown. While I agree that spawn protection balance is a contentious subject (see: Tanks and invisible wall on Mirak Valley), this is not the same case, as we're talking about a vehicle physically inside (or above) the enemy spawn. My suggestion: I recommend the C-RAM defending each base from missile attacks targets and attacks enemy aerial vehicles encroaching upon the HQ spawn. Even if balanced so that it's not an insta-kill, it should damage the vehicle enough that it needs to get away and repair, providing respite to the team on the ground and allow them a chance to get out. The current timer-based system is too generous and, especially for helicopters, allows for constant spawn strafe runs well within the 10-seconds timer. There are obviously other options, such as active or reflective spawn protection, expiring on a timer or if certain actions are taken, but there are pros and cons to each and as such this is my current recommendation. I am very disappointed that we only get a weapon variant for completing the campaign on Hardcore mode. I wish we'd get something we can show off online, like a suffix (Battle Ready, Rising Star, etc. Whatever these are called.), an emblem, a sticker, or a profile card image/background. A dog tag would be okay too, but they are usually hard to see in game since the details are so small. I am sure many other players feel the same. In Halo 4 we had the orange Master Chief visor for beating the game on Legendary. It was great to be able to proudly display it in Multiplayer.3Views0likes0CommentsBF6 is not a success...
BF6 is not a success. It's just a beautiful game at first glance, but in reality it's a failure. So why did it become a trendy game? I believe because other games have been failing for a long time and players need something new. Also, the enthusiastic YouTubers needed a new game to create videos for views. The only positive feature of BF6 is the maps that look like BF3. Of course, they are not as good as in BF3. The rest of the features... a failure: Completely broken bullet registration. Just copy the netcode mechanism from BF4, don't reinvent the wheel unsuccessfully every time. The control panel is completely unusable. To exit you have to go to the settings... imagine... A mix of stupid styles and game types (like King of the Hill and Squad Deathmatch) just to satisfy COD and CS players. Not even close to the atmospheric environment of BF3. Typical indifferent sound. The sound in BF3 was perfect. Unnatural movement like Super Mario. Movement is so fast that it cancels out the opportunity for tactics and strategy. The only tactic is to move faster with the main weapon, so secondary weapons and gadgets are rarely used. Nobody uses the ladder. Nobody uses the hammer. Nobody uses the option "Stay with the squad". Actually it doesn't seem to work as expected. More stupid ideas like idiot badges, icons and stickers! You forgot about the trinkets! And you were laughing at COD... More but useless vehicles compared to BF4. Killing with rockets is easier than with the main weapons and the rockets are very fast. I guess they wanted to reduce the power of the vehicles so that they don't control the game like in BF4, but the current solution is not satisfactory. The AA is completely useless, nobody uses it. The new perspective/view as a driver is problematic. Nobody uses chat. In BF3 and BF4 the chat was the heart of the game that made it come alive. The funniest dialogues have been in the chat of BF3 and BF4. In BF6 almost nobody uses them. One more... firstly you select the class player, then the game starts and you see the map and the game type for the first time, but you can't change class anymore. You have to play the game with the initial selection. Have they stopped thinking? So, to be honest, for a Battlefield player, BF6 is another failure like the other releases after BF4. Even me who was stuck on BF4 for so many years, sometimes I play BF6 just because I'm bored of BF4. When I go back to BF4, it seems to me like the perfect game compared to BF6. The hitreg is perfect. The funny thing is that after BF6 was released, more videos appeared on YouTube talking about missing the legendary BF3. For so many years your job was easy and you still fail. This is a very scummy thing to do to your player base. Best-selling game of the year and you cannot hire any artists to design stuff that is original Attached is an image of a sticker in game with a gun with two barrels, two ejection ports, no match trigger and a scope that is not attached at all like they are in game. Exact same trope as the 6 fingers AI images but now with two barrels Adding AI generated content with no disclosure of it in the steam page is so low and frankly insulting to us. Anyone who purchased the game without the knowledge of it or any of the in-store items deserves refunds for our purchases. AI steals the work of other artists, and you sell it back to us for a premium price. I’ve had Redsec for a couple weeks now, and I’ve noticed that the matches don’t split up ranks. I’ve seen someone at level 150, even 400 go against people at level 15, and it really makes it a lot harder to play the game and get better. I’m only level 30, and it gets insanely frustrating to play when I get killed from someone at level 150 when I got first shot in the same class (like assault). Went and bought a BF6 Coin digital card off of Amazon and I redeemed it, but roughly 48 hours later still nothing in my account. I want to really like this game. But I feel like it has progressively gotten worse. Seeing the new season measly new items and more supbar infantry focus maps doesn't give me a lot of hope for this title. Majority of the guns feel awful. The mag size for some of them are so atrocious. The hit reg still feels like **bleep**. The explosives need major help. Motar does nothing. Half the time you see "player suppression" like splash damage means nothing. Gauntlet matchmaking is wild. Get partnered with the most brain dead **bleep** of teammates that doesn't operate as a team majority of the time. Redsec is okay, but the tanks should be removed. Kills the whole moment of the mode tbh. Overall, the game has been decent in some cases, but after this battle pass, I don't see myself picking up another one. 9+ years account: I was banned on 25th Nov for what I expect was for playing portal xp servers with low hp bots. I have appealed multiple times, all denied. No concrete reason other than the same response “we have done a full investigation on your account and believe we took the correct action ” with a link to their ToS. I have lost hope appealing the ban as it seems it just gets auto denied after 1 hour. I guess their reasoning is for exploiting.. A temp ban would have been understandable but a perma with no warning is a bit extreme. For playing a portal experience created by someone else, using a feature built into the game? Crazy. Tired of snipers sitting in YOUR OWN spawn? Not accomplishing much... Me too... This problem was solved over a decade ago by giving the recon class a spawn beacon. Allowed flanks and back capping. Created crossfire. NEW fire lines. Squad movement. BF6 maps are basically early last century : Line up. Shots. Line up...shots...Line up Do better. I don’t mean to be one of those that complains about every little thing, so I apologize. Does anyone else feel that certain of the aspects feel bare? Specifically for me, weapon customization… I remember on Warzone you could change the stock, pistol grip ergonomics, barrel sizes as well as rail covers. (This was before warzone got stupid) and so I was excited to use a shotgun in bf6 and I went to see what I could change… Literally one barrel size… You have your lasers and flashlights for every gun, but it just feels bare. First, the variable scope should NOT be set to its max variability at the start of every match. It should be set the the minimum. The 1x to 4x variable scope has two problems really. The first is listed above. The second problem with the 1x by 4x variable scope is that it randomly resets to 4x when I primarily run it at 1x. This happens during the match occasionally or more than occasionally after a re-spawn. It's a guaranteed death if I ADS expecting it to be what I set it at which is 1x and I,m zoomed into 4x. I was in the military for 20 years. I knew some snipers they could easily hit a target at 200m with head kill shot. At 200m and without adjusting his scope he could kill the target. In your **bleep** game your sniper class is the weakest. You need to correct your game to fit real life. It should be the strongest class. Make 4 Players to start Portal Matchs instead of 20
I was wondering if these are even being seen by these devs but here it goes anyway. MAKE THE COUNT 4 PLAYERS TO START NON BOT FILLED PORTAL SERVERS! 20's to high, like the dev team when they implemented this in on season 1. Change it back to 0 or 4 would even be more doable but 20 isnt. Heck we need 8 for playing with bots but I hate Bots. Its an unfair advantage on the players end and I dont think thats fair to the player base.17Views0likes1Comment
