Post 1/30 Patch Keyboard/Mouse/Performance Hitching
Hello, Since the January 30th patch, I have been getting a consistent issue where my mouse/keyboard movement is "hitching" while controller movement is smooth. I've seen various threads about this, but what I have not seen mentioned is that the problem gets worse each time I alt-tab whether in fullscreen, borderless, or windowed. In addition, the game executable responsiveness worsens each time, with the game taking longer and longer to become the primary window again. The "lag" will go back to normal after a game reboot, but any alt tabbing will cause it to happen again. The mouse/keyboard hitching is present as soon as the game boots and I enter the range. No matter how intense the mouse and keyboard hitching becomes, picking up and using my controller immediately removes all hitching. This issue was not present prior to the 01/30/26 update, and neither update since then has made improvements. Things I have tried: -Lowering all graphics setting to lowest possible, plus playing in the very small default window size -Swapping between every variation of vertical sync, g-sync, and adaptive sync, DLSS, etc. between the game, Nvidia Control Panel and my monitor's software -The "press no keys on launch" workaround that is discussed in some of the threads around this topic -The "the first 4-8 keys you press will be excluded from the bug" workaround that is discussed in some of the threads around this topic -The "hold alt" workaround that is discussed in some of the threads around this topic -Swapping mice and keyboard -Swapping USB ports -Removing unnecessary USB devices -Disabling all overlays (Discord, Steam, NVIDIA) -Restarting computer -Verifying Battlefield 6 file integrity through Steam -Verifying EAAntiCheat file integrity through the installer application -Force updating EAAntiCheat through the installer application -Updating video card drivers -Performing a full reinstall of Battlefield 6 and EAAntiCheat -Enabling/Disabling XMP None of these attempts have made any difference. I have also monitored all logic cores on my CPU through task manager, and do notice the EAAntiCheat.exe process spiking CPU usage during mouse movement. My system configuration is: Mobo: MSI MAG Z790 Tomahawk Max Wifi (with updated bios firmware for the Intel 13th-14th gen issue) CPU: Intel i7 14700k RAM: 2x G.Skill DDR5 32GB sticks Video Card: MSI NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 w/ 16gb vram Mouse: Logitech G600 Keyboard: Corsair K70 Controller: Xbox One wired USB I've attached three videos of the issue. The first (bad mouse movement to controller smooth) is 10 seconds of mouse movement on a fresh boot of the game, followed by controller movement. The second (bad mouse movement after smooth controller) is immediately after with one alt-tab instance going back to mouse/keyboard. The third (multiple alt tab mkb to controller back to mkb) is after multiple alt-tab instances first with mouse, then switching to controller at the 7 second mark showcasing smooth movement, then switching to keyboard to show the "lag" and stickiness on input registration by alternating strafe keys (A/D), then more mouse movement. Once again, this issue was not present at all before the 01/30/26 patch. Thank you, and please let me know if you have any questions. Not registering hits and gun not firing!
Firstly, I've been running the network graph to see why my hits arn't registering and it seems to be the server that is the issue. On really good servers where I'm near top of kills and score with flags captured, it's registering for example client hits 4 server hits 4. However where I'm struggling to register hits, the client registers 4 hits, and sometimes at worst only 1 is registered on the server. Doesn't seem to be a client issue :( On the other issue I've come across, there has been times even with a full clip my gun just wont fire in the heat of action. Usually after I've done a previous action such as throwing C4, a grenade or climbing over an object. Anyone else? Thanks :)
No weapon level up, or attachments
I have an Xbox series X. I know all of these forums keep stating that they're having problems of not leveling up weapons or getting their attachments. And then everything says problem solved! This is wrong! I am still having this stupid problem! It's bad enough that this stupid game by EA sports is crashing my xbox, now it won't give me my level up of my weapons or my attachments. I have followed every little stupid suggestion online. It is still not doing it!!!

Conclusion of the update: One step forward, two steps back. Problems remaining: Bullet registration is really bad again. So the history path according to the fixes is: bad, better, bad. Instant kills. The moment I see the enemy, the same moment I die. No chance even to click the left button on the mouse. I shot the enemy in the face twice with a shotgun, 1 meter distance. No damage, obviously I died and I didn't even saw the mark of my hit. Vehicles do not have the same engagement/impact in the game as in previous versions. Many vehicles, many mines that can't kill a tank. I see in city maps the roads full of dots of mines like PacMan. The most impressive thing is when the aircraft or damaged tanks land next to the soldier, but after a while you feel like this is staged and the vehicle doesn't seem to be part of the action. In every game and every map, a tank dies only with rockets. Mines and C4 are no longer useful. Other vehicle equipment that is not used and does not offer any exciting experience. Only guys who camp near the base and wait the whole game just to manage to kill a tank once or twice. I guess they do this just to unlock something. Helicopters seem to be the most inconsequential object in the game. And while helicopters don't tie into the overall gameplay, you get a direct hit from a helicopter hovering (camping) so high in the sky, completely unrelated to the action. In BF3 and BF4 I had so many equipment choices to use, to adapt to the game and influence its outcome. Now the most of the gadget choices are not useful and do not affect the game. I told you before. This game has so many problems that you can't fix them. If you have the courage you can try to fix it. If I was in your position I wouldn't.1:860015:89001S:9C:-13561655840
I am receiving 1:860015:89001S:9C:-13561655840 on my son profile on the Xbox s console. I see that this is ongoing for months and many people found creating a new account and signing in with that one seems to resolve the issue. My problem is that his account was set to a child account through the Xbox. I am unable to log in via the Xbox or a different device or browser. Support will not allow me to log in anywhere but the console. I am unable to unlink the account from the game. I also am unable to complete the linking process to manage his account FROM my parent account for this same reason. A cycle of support agents told me I should be able to log in via bf6 or the ea app. I can’t purchase the ea app because his account is a child account. I can’t purchase it for him because I am unable to complete the linking process. Will someone please for the love of god help me. I need a way to create a new account and for him to be able to play on an xbox s. I do not care about saved game data loss, (he has none). I don’t understand how to do this. Please treate me like a veteran with PTSD and little tech experience.The game crashes before it opens.
I can't launch the game battlefield 2042. I click launch in both the app and the desktop, the EA app disappears and the game loading image is displayed for 15 seconds, then the image disappears and the app reappears. I tried restarting the computer, repairing the game through the app, repairing the app itself. I deleted the app and the game, deleted all their files from the computer and reinstalled everything. I reinstalled the anti-cheat and nothing helps, the game won't open. (Other games I tried to install like BATTLEFIELD 1 and 5 did work. After consulting with the technical advice in chat, I also did the following: Clear EA App Cache Close the EA App completely. Navigate to: C:\Users<YourUsername>\AppData\Local\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop Delete the AppCache folder. Restart the EA App and try launching again. Run EA App and Game as Administrator Right-click EA App → Run as Administrator. Do the same for BF2042.exe in the game folder. Disable Overlays Turn off EA App Overlay, Steam Overlay, Discord Overlay, and any GPU overlays (NVIDIA/AMD). These can interfere with the game launch. Check Anti-Cheat Integrity Go to: C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA AntiCheat Run EAAntiCheatInstaller.exe → Repair for Battlefield 2042. Update or Reinstall Visual C++ Redistributables Download the latest x64 and x86 Visual C++ packages from Microsoft. Install or repair them. Force DirectX 11 Mode Battlefield 2042 defaults to DX12, which can cause crashes on some systems. Add a launch argument: -dx11 In EA App → Game Properties → Advanced Launch Options → Paste the above. Check GPU Drivers & Windows Updates Update to the latest GPU driver (NVIDIA/AMD). Ensure Windows is fully updated. Disable Fullscreen Optimizations Right-click BF2042.exe → Properties → Compatibility → Check Disable Fullscreen Optimizations. And nothing works. I would appreciate your helpBot and technical issues
I notice tanks will appear in random spots when one was not there then it kills me. I never had the opportunity to see it. Sometimes when you destroy one tank another appear behind it. The tanks should arrive in the distance or at some other point not appearing before me on the consistent basis. When you shoot a bot, all of a sudden a bot appears next to you in a blind spot and kills you. You do not have a chance of seeing these bots. We need the opportunity to see the bots approaching. The snipers have a great advantage on this game. I have not made it far in the game yet but it would be nice to send a helicopter strike (multiple bombs) at the sniper I would like to see a neck snap / choke hold instead of stabbing a guy for dog chains.

fix the matchmaking *snip*. fix the cheat *snip* with javelin is juvenile against make the game playable for full xo without without "official" breakthrough or conquest. Portal exists ands theres bots either way so whats the point? its an insult to have a conquest mode dedicated to less vehicles and more ground soldiers over a similar mode for breakthrough. Breakthrough chaos features maybe 4-5 maps played over and over that only had heavy vehicles. Ruined the whole thing. Look at the numbers. prior to discontinuing Chaos, most went back to regular breakthrough because there were more maps, some that included NO vehicles. The fact Dice doesnt understand how vehicles ruins some gameplay, such as rams against poorly balanced teams, tells me all I need to know about how much the people who make, produce and develop the game... actually play the game. also no game invokes an Nvidiacontainer error that crashes the game for Device Hung. Literally no other game, meaning no other platform. Its only EA games. Fishy how Chat GPT, Google AI and many typical sources blame NVidia FrameView,, Nvidia Drivers, and Windows despite every single error associated with those names sources way back to EA if you use the data provided by event viewer. Party issue
Hi so me and my friends encountered a strange big yesterday. One friend plays from steam, and another plays from ps5. When I invite my PC friend, he has to join my party from Steam rather than in-game. My friend on console however could not join at all. Keeps clicking the invite I send him in-game but nothing happens. So I tried joining his party, but my name is completely invisible 🫥 Anyone come across this before??Recurring notification/ping sound
While in a match playing or changing my loadout, I hear a recurring bell notification/ping sound several times per minute (sometimes every 10 seconds). It doesn’t seem to be a player pinging a location or an opponent it’s just a random sound that pops up in game. It’s almost making the game unplayable, has anyone else experienced this? If so what can I do to fix the problem? Cheers 👍
