Why rob tix from loyal players
How can you take tix away like that? Are you serious? Do you know how much time people have put into the game to earn said tix only for you to take it away? It's not like you could've capped the tix or added new items for us to buy. NO! You decide to rob tix from loyal players. This feels like a slap in the face. Update info : 2026-03-11 (For my fellow americans ISO 8601) Review in progress for the S3 (0.30.1). Adding Isle of Grom challenges Preamble So the goal here is to list every challenges so far (the static ones and the ones in rotation. The mission challenges aren't displayed here) and point out if there is an issue with it. The advantage is to list everything in one post and communicate on every challenge to seek help if needed. If there is workaround on bugged mission, a link will be provided into the arrays. Note : Review in progress for 0.30.1 Don't be shy, I stated some challenge as "No issue" but i'm sure there is some. I reaplayed almost every challenge listed and so far I'm fine with what I wrote. If you do not agree, please share your feelings. Feel free to leave an upvote, so it can benefit more people. Issue type First thing first, I will explain below what I meant in the "Issue type" column as it cannot be fully understandable : Grind issue : It implies that the rail or grindable surface is bugged or the physics do not behave as intended. Some rail have the bad habits to make turn your character on itself and miss your line/trick. Boundary(ies) : It means that on the current challenge, when you do your tricks correctfully, the challenge doesn't validate the trick(s)/objective(s). But it does if you are in the said boundaries (aka the yellow-orange-ish area). Challenge design : The challenge works but some objective are way too long or miscalculated. Or the challenge tell you to perform some tricks but validates it only in certain order. Skill issue : The community has to be better. The challenge is not that hard. Hippy jump : Hippy jump is either bugged because it cannot pass under the obstacle or bugged due to boundary issue. Physics issue : Pretty straightforward, the physics is incoherent with how it should behave For other type, they are mostly self-explainatory. Been playing the latest skate for a while now. I play on XBOX series S and the 'On a heater' achievement has been stuck on 4% progression for ages. I have definitely been slowly increasing my time completed in the 4x multiplier. Made sure to not bail or fall over and let the timer end so the time is 'banked'. Doing everything it's telling me to do online, video tutorials, different forums. Still not progressing in terms of percentage. The developer note about the 0.30.1 patch says removing pop glitches was a "side effect" of making Bonelesses look better. If that’s true, then this patch wasn't ready to be released. A slightly smoother animation for one trick isn't worth losing the entire reason a huge part of us play. I’ve been flicking analog sticks since the first skate. came out. I already know, and have already known how to do the basic stuff, I’ve done it for almost 18 years. The "pop glitches" and tuck-knee pops were the only things giving this game any actual depth. They gave us something to actually practice and get good at (I've broken down the mechanic and provided clips of this here: [https://forums.ea.com/discussions/skate-en/pop-mechanics-are-essential-to-tricklining-/13234117]). Without them, the game feels slow, restricted, bland, and just fully boring. It would also be ridiculous to claim these patches are for the sake of 'realism.' Is EA suggesting it’s realistic for me to torpedo dive off a skyscraper and glide through the air in a spread eagle? You allow that, but you draw the line at a tuck-knee pop that actually takes skill to time? You can't pick and choose when 'realism' matters just to justify stripping away the depth that trickliners enjoy. Instead of completely writing off an entire side of the community, you should be embracing these mechanics and building them into the new system. It’s worth noting that flashy trickliners and realistic skaters are not actually at odds with each other. Most people mind their own business, play the game how they want and go about their day. A small section of those two communities whose only intent is to argue does not represent the overall community who are just playing in a way they personally find fun. There is no real divide, you’re just killing off a massive part of your community for no reason at all. Even if you don’t see enough of this same frustration in this specific discussion thread, this post represents a massive part of your community that is feeling the same way. Are you making the game for people who choose to only play once a week, or are you making it for people who choose to play every day? Both can be done. If you truly listen to the community like you claim, you wouldn't be wiping out a playstyle that has kept this franchise alive for a decade on its own. Fixing simple animations is cool, but it doesn't replace the core movement depth we just lost. You aren't "fixing" the game for us, you're just removing the endgame for anyone who’s actually put the time in. There is a real market for this level of depth in tricklining, and if EA isn’t going to provide it, someone else eventually will. What matters to players is what’s fun, not which brand is associated. I’d rather just go back to emulating the old titles that actually let us play how we wanted in the meantime until that depth is brought back, by EA, or someone else. Please, actually listen this time. Don't just patch out the depth, make it a part of the game. Do it for board stickers. Stickers right now are plentiful but useless. I like how the tattoos can be stretched rotated and resized on different body parts. Hello, the new update has introduced a bug that prevents people from unlocking PlayStation trophies in skateboarding. Very Sorry EA, You had such a good thing going with the idea of continuing previous legacy passes through the next season but you didn’t do it. And for that I’m done playing and it sucks I really love this game but as a dad and a everyday person I manage what time I can on the games I love and this is one but it’s designed for constant grind daily and now I guess fear of missing out as well being I can’t get just a little longer on a pass I paid for it just sucks and it could be a simple fix but for that I won’t be playing and I’m sure many more have already put it down and it really is such a good game that’s only getting better all the way around except for that main aspect I can’t at least get one more season on a pass I paid for and the bad part is I was gonna chuck more money to finish it, Please Change this EA and bring back the legacy pass for season 2 to complete when I bought it at 7 days left it changed to 80 and it all got blamed on a visual glitch just let us complete previous purchased legacy passes until the next season is over you originally promised that then changed and said only season 1 will be completed through season 2 none of it makes sense you have something good do the right thing with it40Views2likes1CommentDisappointed w/ S3. The skate.Pass has actual brands in it now but of course it's only on the premium version that you HAVE to pay for, and the entire skate.Pass itself is so **bleep** now because on each page it's only like 2-3 things you can even unlock for free if you don't actually buy the skate.Pass. Between this new change and locking Isle of Gram behind it, they quite literally are forcing you to buy the skate.Pass. Even Fortnite doesn't do this kind of stuff. This is a new low for any F2P/LS game imo. ———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— No surprise here, of course they **bleep** up tattoos! There are only even 5 free tattoos (**bleep** ones at that) and then there are a bunch more in the Shop that cost real money. In general all of these tattoos look goofy as hell, and dare I say AI generated. But wait, here's the best part: you can only apply one tattoo at a time, meaning you can't have a whole sleeve. You also can't apply any to your face, your neck, or really have any in-depth customization over them. It's like they spent a total development time of 5 mins and did the most barebones implementation of tattoos and called it a day. ———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— S1 was 90s-themed, S2 was 80s-themed, now S3 is 70s-themed. Who exactly is this game for? I've always been so confused about this. How about we get a season that's Skate-themed where stuff from the previous games are brought into the game, how about that. Why are we not piggybacking off of the legacy of the franchise as a whole? ———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— Of course the Shop got a whole redesign with new menus, new icons, and new sound effects, and of course the Shop as a whole functions even better than before. San Vansterdam itself is bland and devoid of life, each district looks and feels soulless. And with each season you would think the map would change, but nope. Oh wait, my bad, I forgot like two areas of the map get a fresh coat of paint each season, but that's about it. I'm sorry but the game is a joke. This game is a shell of what Skate once was. Skate has turned into a background game you play for 15 mins when you have time to kill or you're on the phone or whatever else, nothing more. The graffiti and most of the dialogue seems AI generated and stiff. The previous games felt way more authentic. Vee is nightmarishly annoying and many of the comments don’t make sense. Latest update has caused near constant glitches, dark slides are happening randomly and there should definitely be an option to disable. Gameplay is extremely frustrating. During certain challenges the start point gets reset to somewhere random.
