What happened in your simlit-story today?
We are so many on here who write sim-lit, and who has long and short stories of royal legacies, family stories, decades challenges or occult drama. Yet many of these fantastic stories goes unread! I noticed myself the difference in readers when posting links to my story in the lost legacy event thread and when just updating the story itself (less than half the readers) and I've had people tell me that their notifications aren't working so they don't know when a story is being updated. So I figured why not give us a platform for promoting our stories? The first post introduces the set up and type of story and a link, and then we post a quick summary and a link when we post a new episode. That way, we can keep track of each others stories, promote our own, and get these fantastic stories read by more. I'll start to get the thread going. Let's promote our stories and spread them around!
Bloodline Challenge
*I totally just realized I posted this in the sims 3 tab this is actually meant for the sims 4.* Bloodline Challenge Backstory: The all mighty ruler has been in power for as long as anyone can remember. As soon as the next heir becomes of age they suddenly disappear before they can overpower them and take the throne. There are two bloodlines: the blood relatives and the adoptive relatives. Objective: Make your ruler live for 10 generations Rules: The requirements for each generation must be completed before the heir becomes of age. The heir becomes of age after their child is born/adopted. When Child becomes of age they must disappear. This can be done by moving them out of active household or sending them to the Grim Reaper Only cheats that can be used are those to kill off a sim Youth Potions/Life Essence can only be taken day before birthday Note: - For clarification, there are two bloodlines: for the blood relative bloodline the heir must be born if the previous heir is can get others pregnant then you are allowed to move in a sim who can get pregnant after they give birth they must disappear. For adoptive relatives they are not allowed to have their heirs be born only adopted children qualify as heirs. - For vampire, if you want after your ruler has the two bloodlines started ruler may be turned to a vampire to prevent from ageing. Or you can start them off as a vampire, but only human children are allowed to be heirs. - For pet update, you may have a pet. The pet wont affect the game play you just get extra points for maxing the pet training skill. - Cowplants are the best way to play this challenge just because instead of buying youth potions you get a free age reset when you drink the life essence from cowplants after growing the cowplant in generation 1 youre not required to use it, it just for storyline purposes - Can start your ruler as a teen for a boost in maxing skills - SetUp: Create a new household. Create your ruler; they can look however you want. They can have whatever traits and aspirations you want. They can be any occult; see the special rules for vampires. Must be a young adult. If you don't want to create a new sim, you can download one using the #bloodlinechallenge. If you create a new sim, please upload it using #bloodlinechallenge Move to Newcrest or anywhere you like, and choose the biggest lot, and this will be your castle. *If Newcrest is chosen, then there are additional goals to be completed. Desert Luxe Pool
Hi! I'm trying to figure out how the pool was made in this promo image for Desert Luxe Kit. The walls appear to be on small height with platforming, however the doors and windows don't work with small wall height and platforming. I've tried on medium wall height and raising platforms up by 4 to give the illusion of a small wall height but then I set the pool up as you can't place pools on platforms. Adding a foundation doesn't appear to solve anything either. Any help welcome :D Thanks!

Introducing: Keeping Up With The Kealohas (My Royalty & Legacy Storyline)
Sul sul everyone!, Meet the Kealoha Dynasty of Sulani. The dynasty is currently led by (Knight) Nohea and his wife, (Dame) Tiare. They have two children: (Lord) Akami, the heir because he is the oldest male, and (Lady) Leilani, the youngest daughter. The Kealoha Dynasty has been Sulani's ruling royal family for the past 400 years now, beginning in the year 1626. However, somewhere along the line, the Kealoha Dynasty has fallen from grace. The Kealoha Dynasty was always loved by the Sulanians because of the dynasty's culture of being kind-hearted and benevolent to their people, as well as taking good care of the island and its crystal blue oceans. However, the infamous Kualana Kealoha, Nohea's 3rd great-grandfather, was a rotten apple from the tree who ruled so badly that he caused the entire island of Sulani to overthrow the Kealoha Dynasty in a nationwide uprising. Kualana was a self-entitled, cold-hearted ruler who ruled with an iron fist and caused the majority of the commoners of Sulani to be poor and hungry due to extremely high taxation. After that, the ruling Kealoha Dynasty had its ruling power stripped to being merely the governing nobility, rather than the ruling nobility that had the full trust and allegiance of the Sulanian people. The Kealoha Dynasty has also held a secret from the Sulanian people ever since they were in power; they are an ancient merfolk bloodline, meaning that they have mermaid blood. However, not everyone is a mermaid; on rare occasions, it skips a generation. Nohea, Tiare, and Akami are mermaids, but Leilani is not. Many of the Sulanians misunderstand mermaids and view the merfolk as horrifying beasts, and if the secret ever gets out now, the chances of the Kealohas ever gaining the love of the Sulanians will just go down the toilet. However, being merfolk is not the only Kealoha secret. Some secrets are bad enough to destroy and tarnish the entire dynastic name... Will the Kealohas gain back their ruling power and the trust and allegiance of the Sulanians, or will their secrets find them out and cause their name to go down in history as the worst dynasty to have ever lived, having another dynasty take over? Stay tuned....Creek Tales - A Pack Legacy Challenge (updated 03/01)
When Maxis introduced the option of turning packs off and on in game, I was wildly tempted to create a Pack Legacy Challenge for the game. Of course, someone else already did, but as usual, I'm all about creating my own rules based on my own playing style and play badly when others dictate my game, which of course means I'll make the rules up as I go, still there are a few basics. Basic guidelines I intend follow: I will start with an entirely base game family, the Creek-family (introduced below). They (including the kids) are generation 1 of this challenge. With every new generation at least one new pack (EP, GP, SP or Kit) will be unlocked. That generation then has to truly explore that pack, meaning jobs, looks, decorations, aspirations, traits, skills even deaths should be explored to the fullest by the sims born in that generation. The exception is seasons, which will be unlocked as the oldest child of gen 1, Willow, ages up to a teen. Which pack that will be unlocked will depend on the first trait given to the first child in the next generation (so a family orientated child will unlock parenthood or growing together, depending on which have been unlocked before). Some traits only unlock kits. In that case the second trait given to a child of that generation will unlock a pack. Some kits will also be unlocked with a specific pack if it feels like a good combination, like country kitchen with cottage living or industrial loft with city living. And some rules (yes, even I have a few rules): All traits are to be given randomly, with the exceptions being that a sim of a new generation MUST take traits of a newly unlocked pack if there are any, randomly if there are several. When every trait of the newly unlocked pack is assigned to a sim in game, randomness for all available traits are allowed. When the first child of the next generation receive their first trait, true randomness applies as that will dictate the next pack to unlock. A new pack is unlocked when the oldest child of a generation ages up to teen. No CC is allowed, a part from the occasional ad-on pack (separations of items already in game, matching chairs to a sofa or more window options). Even add-ons should be kept to a minimum. This is after all about exploring the packs to their fullest. Mods are allowed, but not those that significantly adds gameplay options (such as career-mods, new aspirations, traits or new gameplay). The purpose here is to explore the options of the packs after all. For me, myself, I intend to start out only with BetterBuildBuy and MCCC and try to keep other mods to a minimum (that lasted less than an hour, there are simply too many things I cannot live with in game, but the aim is the same, keep mods to a minimum and no mods that adds gameplay). As for the rest, well that's up in the air still. I plan on starting with aging on normal, but as that is very new to me, I might change that to long instead as I've never managed to live with normal age span before. Either way, adult lifespan will be about twice the usual length for how else are they going to be able to see their kids grow up and have kids of their own? I built a huge cathedral!
Hi everyone, This is my first post in a very long time—since The Sims 3 days, in fact. I wanted to share a lot I built almost two years ago (though I only just uploaded it). It's a big one, and one that uses objects in pretty unexpected ways. With all my builds, there is no CC, nor mods used. This is St. Agnes' Cathedral! I drew inspiration primarily from Westminster Abbey, York Minster, and Notre Dame. And the name is of course inspired by Agnes Crumplebottom of Henford-on-Bagley, the world in which I built the lot. I think this build will complement Royalty and Legacy gameplay well; an apt addition to your kingdoms! But note that, because I built this so long ago, the packs used are relatively old, so Royalty and Legacy isn't required. I guess this discussion could become a showcase of some of my lots that I have built/will build in the future. I have so many ideas and always try to use objects in creative ways, so I'd love to keep sharing more. If you download it, let me know what you think of it. Hello...I am Froggy and I have been a Simmer since 2001. My Simming journey began one day when an office companion mentioned a game about creating a family and building their homes and just managing their lives. I had to know what it was, and he told me The Sims. so obviously right away I looked it up and I bought it and that was that. I was hooked. Since then, I have been on The Sims journey going through Sims 2, then 3 and now 4. I did take a VERY long hiatus when my oldest child was born and life just took over. Until December of 2024 when I once again began the journey with Sims 4. I couldn't believe everything I had missed! So, here I am now about a year and change later, falling in love with the game once again. I was almost always more of a builder in the game, although gameplay was also a part of it, but now I just really adore building. So, I decided that what better place besides social media to show off some of the builds I have done than in a place where Simmers pass through all the time. Many of them have been shell challenges, but through those challenges I feel as if my creativity just goes one degree higher. Although...the first build I am going to share here is one I did by being inspired with a building I saw. This build is one part of a bigger build I did. I wanted to separate it as its own because I think people can use it better that way. I do not use CC in any of my builds (although I did play around with it in the beginning) because I want to be able to share my builds with others. One Month One World One Year Challenge 2026
Hello and welcome. :) This challenge was started by Karababy52 (see more here) and I would like to continue it on for another year if I can. Hopefully more people can join in. The more the merrier! The premise of this challenge is pretty simple. The goal is to post one in-game screenshot once a day during the 2026 year. So, kind of like a 365 project for your sims. You will start out with a teen sim and pick your starting world. I'll share a list of suggestions, but really you can pick whatever you want. Your sim will be a teen for 3 real world months, then age-up to Young Adult in April. They will spend 4 months as a Young Adult, then age-up to Adult in July. They will spend 4 more months as an Adult, then age-up to Elder in December. Each month your sim will move to a new world to explore. I've taken all the rules and guidelines here and copied them over from Karababy52's 2023 post and edited them slightly. Rules/Guidelines: One screenshot post per real life day in this thread with a short text summary. One world per real life month - See monthly schedule of worlds in spoiler below. Optional: May change schedule of worlds to reflect your preferences. Your challenge Sim MUST be a teen to officially begin this challenge and post in the thread. Exception: If you are starting the challenge late, you may begin in the current month at whatever age the challenge is at, or you may start as a teen to quickly finish your aspiration and school, then fast forward to the current age. (Example - if you start in April you may hurry through the teen stage and age up to YA, or just start as YA). After three real life months have passed, your Sim will age up to young adult for four months, adult for four months and finally, age up to an elder for December. Timeline posted in spoiler below. Optional: How long your Sim stays in each life stage, teen-elder, is at your own discretion. However, they are required to be at minimum a young adult to attend Uni in Britechester. *Note: If you own the High School Years EP, your Sims may be offered early graduation. If they take the offer, your teen is allowed to apply, enroll, and attend university or join full-time adult careers. Begin Rags to Riches style on an empty lot with 0 simoleons. Optional: Use the 20,000 starting simoleons to buy a starter home and furnish it how you want. Aging off. Optional: May use long lifespan. All unplayed residential worlds are off limits for any kind of travel. Exception: Newcrest may be designated a 'neutral' world to place venues for your Sim to use regardless of their current world residence. Optional: Newcrest may be used to replace a pack you don't own instead. Optional: Your sim may travel to other worlds not used in the challenge if they get an invitation. Sims may take a vacation to any of the designated vacations worlds. Rental lots in unplayed residential worlds are off limits. Aspirations released with a world must be fulfilled first. May choose a base game or other pack aspiration not in the challenge to complete afterward. Optional: Only one aspiration released with a world must be completed before choosing base game or other pack aspirations. Willow Creek, Oasis Springs, Newcrest and Magnolia Promenade may be used in substitution for worlds listed in the challenge for packs you may not own. In that event, choose one or two base game or other packs aspirations not in the challenge to complete per world. Your Sim may marry and/or have children. Aging up children is at your own discretion. High School attendance is not required. May use cheats to fulfill daily/promotional task requirements. *Exception: Applicable only if you do not own the High School Years EP or if you do own it, but have elected not to have your Sim live in Copperdale and do the aspirations associated with the EP in your challenge. The beginning of each new month/world starts Rags to Riches style. Optional: Your Sim may keep everything they have accumulated and use their funds to buy or build a new house, or even move their house to their new world. If your challenge Sim dies, it's game over. Optional: You may bring them back to life and continue or use another existing Sim in the household to complete the challenge. Or, keep playing as a ghost! Occult states and Celebrity statuses must be removed when progressing to the next month/world. Optional: May keep acquired lifestates/statuses. *Note: Vampires can't get a suntan, which is a Beach Life aspiration task. If a new world is released with a new pack at any time during 2026, you have the option to swap the new world with another prior released world. Give yourself a break and don't stress over days missed due to internet outages, vacations/holidays, real life work/responsibilities or sickness. Extra story screenshots may be posted, but try to keep it to around 5-10 max. There's no limit for screenshots shared on your blog. May use satisfaction points to buy rewards. Exception: Money tree seeds are disallowed. Lottery tickets are disallowed for purchase. Beginning season, length of days and moon phases are your choice. May turn off or cheat away/change all Eco Lifestyle features applied to worlds. Exception: Must be turned on while living in Evergreen Harbor. May participate in all default Holidays, modify, delete and/or add your own. May include a link to your preferred Blog site with additional story text/screenshots, in addition to your Daily Post Pic/Text Summary. Mod friendly challenge! However, please use discretion when using them. Using a mod to fulfill an aspiration is disallowed. Exception: May be used to correct bugs and/or glitches. The Rivera Family
While I am already in the depths of this storyline, I thought I'd share it here as well as my Facebook page, but let's catch up: Sven and his high school sweetheart, Nicolette, finally got married out of high school. They tried for over a Sim-year to conceive their own child, but were met with loss after loss. Finally, after the heartbreaking loss of their triplets, Rohnen, Roman and Rogan, Sven and his wife decided they would adopt. (Here, I recruited fellow Simmers to upload a child(ren) to gallery, that were "in need of adoption". Four fellow Simmers stepped up). Sven and Nicolette adopted six children (1 through auto-adoption; I had logged out for the day, came back and they had a toddler; the other five through fellow Simmers). On the day of aging to teen for 4 of the 5 Sim-adopted Sims, Nicolette passed away in their kitchen, while preparing cakes for the children, from "hysteria". Leaving behind seven children, including the child she had given birth to, the day prior. Now, after months of mourning, Sven has decided to get back out there. And who does he connect with? None other than Bella "Goth" (Kahananui) herself! At first, she is LESS than impressed by Sven, constantly flirting with, but not receiving the interactions well at all. She continues to blow Sven off, but he's persistent. She finally tells him that she is, in fact, married to Vaea Kahananui, and isn't interested in breaking her vows, but informs Sven that he is an ELDER elder and won't be around much longer. Sven offers to stay friends, until she is ready to move forward. He loves the feeling he gets from Bella. He hasn't felt so alive since he first met his wife, Nicolette. Bella agrees. She comes over nightly to hang out and stargaze with Sven. Quality friend time. Something they both apparently needed, as Bella tells Sven that her marriage has been deceased for quite some time now. The children, now mostly teens, have noticed the liking their father has taken in Bella, but are spit on whether they are happy for him, disgusted, or otherwise. There's also a secret that now only Sven knows. The only other Sim to know, was his wife Nicolette. Will Sven reveal his secret to his children? Or will it stay between him and his now deceased wife? HUGE Favor \ Question ... my computer went to poo and I lost ALL of my Sims builds etc. By chance has anyone downloaded "Saint Benjamin's Cathedral" and or 6561 Rolling Brook Road when I had them on my Gallery? I(I took them off so I could update them) or is there a way to log into EA and they are saved somewhere? Thanks in advance.

For all of the old man’s faults, Joseph loved him dearly. His uncle was a caring and affectionate force in the Cantrell children’s lives truly filling in where their father had left off. “The one you were named for?” Erik said. “He’s ancient, isn’t he?” “You might say so, he just had his one-hundred and fourth birthday. Last time I saw him he was still so full of life. You can’t keep that one down,” “Dad?” “Kitchen fire. He apparently tried to put it out, but his efforts were futile. Smoke inhalation.” “I’m so sorry.” “What a guy he was, though, I remember when . . .” “So you’re saying Uncle Joe basically raised you and your siblings,” Erik said. Joseph nodded, “After your grandfather passed so suddenly, Uncle Joe did come to live with my siblings and me, in the family estate. You see, your grandmother died years before, fell off her horse. Broke her neck, she died instantly." “Oh, that’s terrible. I don’t believe you’ve ever shared that story before.” “Still so painful, losing my mother. Uncle Joe was great. He used to tell such outrageous stories.” For a brief moment Joseph Sr.’s, mouth curved into the slightest of grins. “I’m guessing that’s where you get your penchant for such. In many ways you remind me of him.” Joseph shook his head. “We didn’t know you couldn’t see well, but you made up some of the most delicious stories about what you were seeing in the picture books. My favorite was the angels dancing on the top of candles.” “Okay, maybe.” Erik had never met the man, but he used to relish the stories his aunts and uncles shared whenever they came to visit. His father’s family was very close. He knew his dad was really hurting over this loss, too. Reaching over, he placed a warm hand on his father’s shoulder. “Are you going to be okay?” Placing a hand over Erik’s Joseph nodded, slowly. “That’s enough reminiscing for now. Why don’t you turn in and get some rest. We have lots to do, in just a few days. So many loose ends . . . before I ascend the throne,” Joseph’s voice was nearly a whisper as his voice trailed off. “What? Dad, did you say throne, what throne? What are you talking about? Are you saying we’re royals? I don’t believe it. How come I’m just hearing about this now? Why did you let me dream about my future. to become a rock star? That can’t be possible now, can it?” Erik watched his father closely, waiting for his response, hoping beyond hope his dreams hadn’t just been dashed. “Did you never wonder why your aunt and uncles always visited us all dressed up as if they had just been to Court or a fancy ball? Lady and Gentlemen. Grand Dukes and Grand Duchess, all. That’s their titles when their father is king. You, too, will be a Grand Duke.” Erik sat on the bed next to his father gasping for breath as he hyperventilated. “Easy, Erik, slowly in and out, you’re going to be fine, I promise. Hey Simmers! The Sims community has been a part of my life since the beginning. My middle school years was all about The Sims! Now, I spend my me-time, building stories, created with a Sim or two of mine, and incorporating Sims from other players, made specifically for that storyline. Update Feb 18, 2026 This thread is getting a bit crowded so I've decided to create separate threads for Juliette, Hannah, and Isabel. Juliette and Hannah have their own households and families to manage now (except Isabel, no children yet) so it seemed a good time to give them all their own threads. I'll also be moving their old episodes to the new threads. Introduction Some of you have probably seen various pics of my sim family in the various Screenshots and What Happened threads. I just wanted to gather all those pics and create a thread to help me keep track of what was happening in my game. I've been playing this family since 2018 and what started as a Super Sim Challenge with Julianna eventually evolved into a Super Sim Family Challenge as I became attached to Julianna's and Edward's children. I usually switch off and focus on different family members depending on which career, aspiration, or pack feature I want to focus on. I move family members in and out of the main household as I play them. Edward and Julianna were both created in CAS as single households. I played Julianna for a while, had her start a relationship with Edward and they married shortly afterward. Shown above is Edward, Julianna, and their three daughters, Juliette, Hannah, and Isabel. The sisters were born triplets but I aged them up at different times. Also seated, Juliette's two children, Amelia and Asher, with her fiancée, Sebastian. Amelia and Asher were added to the family in anticipation of High School Years as I didn't have any school age sims in the household when that pack was announced. Juliette and Sebastian's wedding plans are still on hold. In addition to their three daughters, Julianna and Edward also have a young adult son, Theo, who was created in CAS. He was raised by his maternal grandparents. Theo and his wife, Jennifer, have 2 children. Twin toddlers named Grace and Hope. Julianna's parents, her 2 siblings and their children and Edward's parents, his 3 siblings and their children are part of the extended family.
