hey hii 😭 so i’m gonna be real... i really need help with this build because i genuinely suck at building like it’s actually embarrassing at this point 💀 i was trying to make a merfolk castle/palace in sulani (key point 40x30 lot) but yeah... it turned into a whole struggle. i did upload a shell on my gallery (username: nh2212) so if anyone’s interested you can grab it from there!! Oh, Now, That Was Weird . . .
Some of you are aware of the mishaps that have been going on in my game. For the most part, I've gotten them straightened out, thanks to the Maker above. But, as things were going along, and I've set it up so that my Cantrell family will have three generations above them in their dynasty. However, this meant I had to create them in CAS using Joseph, Sr. Cantrell, as many of you know him by, so I could employ the DNA thing in CAS. After running into a very huge snag in which Joseph was no longer the spouse of Louise, but they were cousins. . . Cousins? I have a few kooky things like that going on. I started a brand new save yesterday and today got into the nitty gritty of my set up. I had to make certain I connected my Joseph to his parents. I had him move in with them to take them all into cas.fulleditmode. However, that was only a partial fix. Yes, he's the son of King Aaron, but not the son of Queen Julianna. Okay . . . And another thing, Uncle Joe is no longer the brother of Aaron, but a son of Queen Julianna . . . what kind of tomfoolery is going on over there in Bellecorde, eh? Last, but not least, Joseph's next younger brother died of embarrassment. Grimmie came and Joseph collected the headstone (his arrow unknocked to his chagrin). Then it was time for the King to decease of Old Age. He was in the kitchen, and Grimmie was standing over him, but things were taking an inordinate amount of time. Then (since I had the game going at >>> time), a gnome popped up from the floor. Very strange. Then Aaron got up from the floor, saved, apparently. This happened twice, so I just deleted him. 🙃 Julianna went quietly, no arguments. But that gnome-thing was extraordinary. I had never seen such a thing. No Money Cheats (except for Generation 1, if necessary, for the initial lot or if specified by the challenge). The Lineage Vault: Each heir must keep a unique object representing their generation in a storage box (the "Tomb"). Succession: The heir is always the first child to reach the Young Adult stage, unless the story specifies otherwise. ________________________________________________________________________ Generation 1: Aelin Galathynius (The Assassin of Adarlan) Aelin starts as a Young Adult who has lost everything. She is arrogant, brilliant, and deadly. She lives on an empty lot in Oasis Springs (simulating the deserts of Erilea), hiding her true identity. Traits: Ambitious, Loyal, Self-Assured. Aspiration: Friend of the World. Challenge: Must reach Level 10 of the Criminal Career (Boss Branch). Must have the following skills: Charisma, Piano, and Medium; and maximize the skills: Fitness, Logic, Swordplay, and Archery. Must travel to Selvadorada (Jungle Adventure) and find an ancient relic (simulating the Eye of Elena). Must obtain the Simcalibur sword. The Trauma: Aelin is "exiled" (moves worlds) three times during her life. Succession: She must have an heir with a Sim who has the Loyal trait. She must have a very close relationship with her child. When the heir becomes a Young Adult, Aelin must "disappear" to rule her kingdom (move her to another household and do not contact her), leaving only her diary, her sword, and the Selvadorada relic. _________________________________________________________________________ Generation 2: Rhysand (The High Lord of Night) Rhysand inherited his mother’s cunning and the need to protect what remains of his family. He grew up watching his mother hide and decided that to be safe, he must control everything from the shadows. Traits: Family-Oriented, Loyal, Idealist. Aspiration:* World-Famous Celebrity (he plays the political game). Challenge: Must reach Level 10 of the Politics Career (Politician Branch). Must have a luxurious "Secret Basement" where he keeps past relics and other Sims' secrets. Must spy on the entire neighborhood to discover their secrets. Must have the following skills: Mischief, Romance, and Vampire Lore; and maximize Charisma and Logic. Must have 5 Best Friends. The Story: Must marry a Sim of "lower status" and "elevate" them. The Legacy: Must paint a picture of his "Court" (a group of 5 close friends) and leave it for the heir. _________________________________________________________________________ Generation 3: Bryce Quinlan (The Starborn Princess) Rhysand’s daughter, Bryce, rebels against her father's formalism and secrecy. She prefers parties, technology, and the urban life of San Myshuno. She is the "black sheep" who spends the family fortune. Traits: Outgoing, Self-Assured, Party Animal. Aspiration: Archaeology Scholar. Challenge: Must have the following skills: Charisma and Handiness (representing her tech/geek side); and maximize Dancing and Archaeology. Must own a dog (Bulldog) and name it Syrinx. Must work in the Social Media career. Must have a female best friend. The Event: Her best friend must die tragically. After this, Bryce must change her life: maximize the Archaeology skill to investigate her family's past. Succession: Bryce has a child with a Sim who helps her during a moment of crisis. The Legacy: She leaves a high-end computer and a rare cut crystal for the heir. _________________________________________________________________________ Generation 4: Manon Blackbeak (The Iron Heir) Bryce’s daughter, Manon, grew up hating her mother’s "frivolity." She is cold, calculating, and feels a connection to the occult that the family tried to forget. Traits: Competitive, Self-Assured, Disruptive. Aspiration: Chief of Mischief. Challenge: Must become a Spellcaster of the highest rank. Must have a large black dog named Abraxos and reach maximum friendship with him. Cannot have a job; must survive by selling potions or stolen items. The Story: Must form a "club" of 13 women (The Thirteen). The Trauma: Manon abandons her heir as soon as they become a teenager to "lead her clan," leaving them on an empty lot with only the dog, a red knitted sweater, and a dragon statue. _________________________________________________________________________ Generation 5: Cassian (Commander of **bleep**) Abandoned by his mother (Manon), Cassian had to fight for every scrap of bread. He has no magic, only muscle and willpower. Traits: Active, Glutton, Bro. Aspiration: Bodybuilder. Challenge: Must maximize Fitness and Natural Living and reach Level 10 of the Military Career. Must complete the StrangerVille Mystery (simulating a war against a supernatural threat). Must build a public gym called Windhaven to train other outcasts. The Story: Cassian never officially marries. He lives an intense and turbulent passion with a Sim he cannot fully have (the partner must have the Noncommittal trait or be from another social class). Succession: His heir is the result of this forbidden passion. The Legacy: He leaves his military medals and a used punching bag for his child. _________________________________________________________________________ Generation 6: Dorian Havilliard (The Glass King) Cassian’s son, Dorian, is the opposite of his father. He is refined, intelligent, and discovers that Manon’s (his grandmother) magic skipped a generation and manifested in him in a dangerous way. Occult: Spellcaster. Traits: Bookworm, Good, Loyal. Aspiration: Academic (must go to University and get a degree in Language & Literature). Challenge: Must learn and maximize all magic skills. Must have the Charisma skill; and **maximize** Swordplay, Equestrian, and Writing. Must have a home library with at least 50 different books. The Story: Dorian must suffer a "possession" (using the StrangerVille pack). He must regain his humanity through writing. The Legacy: Leaves a collection of rare manuscripts for the heir. _________________________________________________________________________ Generation 7: Nesta Archeron (The Queen of Death) Dorian’s daughter, Nesta, grew up with the weight of her father’s depression and his unstable magic. She is defensive, sharp, and feels "broken." Traits: Dance Machine, Embraced by Death, Hot-Headed. Aspiration: Inner Peace. Challenge: Must have the following skills: Swordplay, Medium, and Vampire Lore; and maximize Dancing and Wellness. Must complete the Paranormal Investigator career. Must go to the blacksmith to have a sword created for her. The Story: Must live on a lot with the Haunted House trait. Nesta must "conquer" the ghosts of the house. Succession: Must have a difficult relationship with siblings/relatives. She must adopt the heir once she reaches the maximum level of Wellness. Challenge: Must maximize the Military Career (Officer Branch). Must have the Video Gaming skill; and maximize Handiness, Rocket Science, and Robotics. The Story: Hunt must spend his entire adult life with maximum job performance, but can never spend money on luxuries for himself (only for skill development). Marriage: Can only marry after reaching the top of his career. The Legacy: Leaves a technological artifact or a biological/natural specimen found in the alien world. _________________________________________________________________________ Generation 9: Elain Archeron (The Flower Seer) Hunt’s daughter, Elain, rejects technology and war. She wants to return to her roots and the earth, but her visions haunt her. Traits: Romantically Reserved, Neat, Plant Lover. Aspiration: Freelance Botanist. Challenge: Must have the following skills: Medium, Baking, Cross-stitch, Knitting, and Herbalism; and maximize Gardening and Floral Arrangement. Must become a Fairy and change aspirations after completing Freelance Botanist. Must have a perfect garden with a Cowplant and a Death Flower. Must maximize the Canning skill. The Story: Elain must have two suitors at the same time throughout her young adult life and never choose one until she is an Adult. Challenge: Must suffer an "injury" (simulated via CAS/storytelling). Must maximize the Writing and Logic skills while recovering. Must travel to Mt. Komorebi and reach the mountain peak to heal himself. The Story: Must marry a Sim he met during his recovery (someone with the Good trait). Challenge: Must maximize the Programming (Hacking) and Photography skills. Must have a collection of photos of all previous heirs (if possible) or their graves. Must reach Level 10 of the Secret Agent Career (Diamond Agent Branch). The Story: Azriel must have an unrequited love during two stages of his life (Young Adult and Adult). The Legacy: Must leave the heir a camera or something representing a dagger. _________________________________________________________________________ Generation 12: Ruhn Danaan (The Starborn Prince) Azriel’s son, Ruhn, is the reluctant prince. He has his father's shadow powers and his great-great-grandmother Bryce's rebellion. He likes going out at night but carries immense responsibility. Traits: Party Animal, Loyal, Bro. Aspiration: Master Mixologist. Challenge: Must have the Video Gaming and DJ Mixing skills; and maximize Mixology, Tattoo, and Guitar. Must own a successful Bar or a tattoo studio. Must have a tattoo that symbolizes his lineage. The Story: Ruhn must discover that his father (Azriel) hid the truth about the family's origins. He begins investigating the Lineage Vault. The Legacy: He must have 3 daughters. Leaves his guitar to the heir. _________________________________________________________________________ Generation 13: Feyre Archeron (The Cursebreaker) Ruhn’s daughter, Feyre, is born in a time of declining family fortune. She has to hunt (fish/harvest) to support her sisters and father. Traits: Art Lover, Creative, Good. Aspiration: Painter Extraordinare. Challenge: Must maximize the Painting, Fishing, and Parenting skills. Must support the household alone until she reaches level 5 of Painting. The Story: Upon reaching level 10 of Fishing, she must be "taken" to a luxurious mansion (to marry a rich Sim) but discovers it is a gilded cage. On her wedding day, she cancels the ceremony, flees, and finds her true love. Occult: Must become a high-level Spellcaster. The Legacy: She must paint the "Mural of History" - a series of 10 paintings telling the saga since Gen 1 (visit the graves and paint from memory or photos of the ghosts). _________________________________________________________________________ Generation 14: Aelin II (The Descendant of the Flame) - FINAL She discovers Aelin Galathynius's (Gen 1) diary hidden at the bottom of Ruhn's Lineage Vault. She realizes the cycle of power and suffering is about to restart. Traits: Same as Gen 1 (Ambitious, Loyal, Self-Assured). Aspiration: StrangerVille Mystery (no need to complete). Final Challenge: The Gathering of Shadows: Must reach the top of the Scientist Career, build the Wormhole Generator (Portal to Space), and be a Max Level Medium. The Goal: Must summon or resurrect the ghosts of Aelin (G1), Rhysand (G2), Manon (G4), and Feyre (G13) for a final dinner at the mansion. Must gather all legacy items left by previous generations into a single room (The Relic Room). Lis has been invited to join the ranks of the Young Nobles, a club led by Sophia Abrantes which, until now, was exclusively for those born or adopted into noble titles. This could open doors for Lis: a path into the noble court of Ondarion, if she chooses to follow it. The first day of break, Lis started her morning by doing some chores. Arabella and Peter both had work, and she had the place to herself. May as well get the trash taken out and the house cleaned up before she decided what else to spend the day on. The plants around the cottage were starting to gray and wilt with the coming winter cold, and colorful leaves covered the path. Lis couldn't wait for fall to come to an end, and winter to set in fully. She loved the snow, and she loved the winter holidays. While she was hanging the laundry out to dry, Lis' phone rang. Sophia was calling, and wanted to know if she minded her and Amarachi coming over to hang out. Since she was almost done with chores anyway, Lis cheerfully agreed. "Hello, Lis!" Sophia was very excited to see her when she arrived, and Amarachi wasn't far behind. "Oh, your house is so lovely!" "Thank you." Lis smiled. "It's a good home." "I'll have to have you over sometime. Anyway! Amarachi and I had something to ask you." "What is it?" Lis wondered. "I'm the leader of the Young Nobles Club in Ondarion, and we've started accepting members from other Dynasties and kingdoms. Would you like to join us? She loved winter so much! After admiring the snowfall, Lis followed the group inside the cafe. Gentle music was already playing inside the cafe's beautiful ballroom, and Lis couldn't help but be breath-taken by the charming elegance of it all. Was this what Sophia was used to? Lis loved her home in Glimmerbrook, but this was an entirely different type of beauty. "I'll teach you the waltz, if you want." Channing offered, breaking Lis from her reverie. "I'd love that." Lis agreed. "Thank you." After Lis and Channing finished their waltz, Amarachi challenged Lis to a friendly duel. Lis felt a little bit silly, taking out her wooden training sword to combat Amarachi's much more professional one, but Amarachi assured her it was all in good fun. "Maybe we can take you to visit the blacksmith another day." To Amarachi's shock, Lis actually ended up winning the duel! Despite her wooden sword and minimal skill, Lis had managed to best her. It was impressive! But also a little embarrassing. Sophia and Channing applauded from where they'd been watching, and Lis helped Amarachi back to her feet. "Good duel." Amarachi told her. "I'd better not underestimate you next time." After dueling and waltzing, the group headed upstairs to the actual cafe area. Sophia made tea on one of the beautiful china trays, and they sat down and just talked. Amarachi was a big fan of Harvestfest, like Aeris. "It's a time of family unity and thankfulness. I always enjoy the time spent together. How about you, Sophia?" "Oh, Harvestfest is nice. I love all the holidays, though. It just hasn't been quite the same since Thiago got married, now holidays are spent over at the Thebe castle. It's still nice, but it's... different." As much fun as they were having, it was getting late, and they all had to get home. Lis bid her noble friends goodbye, and Amarachi promised to have her over to the Darong estate sometime soon. "I can tell we're going to be great friends, Lis. Take care!" And with that, the group all headed home. Lis got home at the same time as Arabella, and happily welcomed her home from work. "Thank you for all the work you did around the house, Lis. It looks great in here." Arabella told her. "It's no problem, not like I had anything else going on!" When they sat down for dinner, Arabella had some other news for her. "We're going to be celebrating Harvestfest with the rest of the family, this year. Our family will be hosting, but we're going to meet at a venue to share dinner and celebrate." "Oh! Is everybody coming?" Lis wondered. "Just about." Arabella confirmed. "So there'll be a lot of cooking to do the day of. I hope you'll help me with that?" "Of course, I'm glad to help." Lis agreed. "Good. I'll do some prep work tomorrow, and Peter will help too day of. So you'd better get some sleep, it'll be a busy couple days!" Lis spent the early hours of the next morning practicing her swordsmanship again, to be ready for the next club gathering. Her practice was interrupted, though, by a call from Aeris. "Hop a train and come hang out with me! I'm at Camp Gibbi Gibbi today, we can do an archery contest and go swimming, it's still warm-ish here!" "Sounds great, I'll be over soon!" Lis agreed. Lis was excited to tell Aeris about the Young Nobles Club, but to her surprise, Aeris was less than enthused. "Those royal types are all the same, Lis. Rich and snobby and out for themselves. You're better off not falling into that crowd." "Channing is noble." Lis argued. "He's not like that at all." "Channing is adopted, remember? He actually knows what it's like to live normally. Not the same thing." "Sophia and Amarachi seem really lovely, I really don't think that's the case." "Well, don't say I didn't warn you. Let's go shoot some arrows, the targets are finally open." Lis hadn't expected Aeris to be so hostile to the idea of her hanging out with the noble kids, but she brushed it off for now. Maybe she'd had a bad experience with someone else? Regardless, Lis was certain she'd come around eventually. Instead, Lis poured her attention into archery. She was getting quite good now, but so was Aeris, and their competition was quite close. Ultimately, Aeris ended up winning this time. "Good match!" Aeris grinned. "Go again?" "No thanks." Lis laughed. "My elbow is screaming. Let's go for a swim instead, it's way too cold in Glimmerbrook." The water surrounding Camp Gibbi Gibbi was chilly but still pleasant to swim in, and the clouds offered a much needed shield from the sun. Lis and Aeris spent a couple of hours playing and chatting in the water, enjoying the last bit of warm weather in Gibbi Point before winter set in. "I'm sorry I got so worked up over the nobles club thing." Aeris told Lis as they were leaving the lake. "That Duke Capp from Bellacorde came to talk to Dad a couple days ago. He wanted to buy the camp." "Whatever for?" Lis asked. "Some sort of vacation house. Dad said no, obviously, but it's insulting. He waved some vague threat over us as he was leaving. But you're right, Channing isn't like that, and it sounds like those other two girls are nice. Shouldn't have tarred them all with the same brush." "It's alright, Aeris." Lis answered. "I'm sure everything will be fine. Should we go catch some butterflies before I leave?" "Let's!" After some time searching around the lake, Lis found a flock of owl butterflies! Though most of them flew away, she just managed to catch one. She wanted to have a whole butterfly habitat eventually, but she had nice little individual terrariums for them in the meantime. After that, it was starting to get late, so Lis said goodbye to Aeris and headed back home to Glimmerbrook. Lis got home just in time for dinner, and Arabella was already talking to Peter about the plan for tomorrow. They would arrive at the venue in the morning and spend the whole day cooking, then the family would all come over in the evening. The list of dishes Arabella was firing off made Lis's head spin. How were they going to cook all that in twelve hours? But her mother seemed confident, so she would be too. She'd better head to bed early, though. Hi! I'm trying to figure out how the pool was made in this promo image for Desert Luxe Kit. The walls appear to be on small height with platforming, however the doors and windows don't work with small wall height and platforming. I've tried on medium wall height and raising platforms up by 4 to give the illusion of a small wall height but then I set the pool up as you can't place pools on platforms. Adding a foundation doesn't appear to solve anything either. Any help welcome :D Thanks!Lost Legacies Event Week 4
