100 baby challenge: What if sims age up w/o any infant traits?
A couple of the first sims in my game did not age up with any of the infant traits, and I don't know what I'm supposed to do with them. I was thinking that my matriarch would still have to raise them to adulthood and would not be allowed to have another child using their donor parents, but they would not be a challenge fail and could still help around the house and with caring for other children. I'd set them as a household member so they wouldn't show up in genealogy, and alter romantic/woohoo preferences so that they wouldn't compete with the matriarch for donors or accidentally try and romance the matriarch. Alternatively, I'd have to age them down in CAS and start over until they got the happy or top notch traits, which I think would also be fair since babies are hard to deal with. However, I'm worried that I might not be able to see some infant traits, or that the traits might be buggy and not show up. There might be a protocol for this, but I haven't found anything online. Is there anything you guys do when this happens?hlp3w4w9662x4 days agoSeasoned Newcomer30Views1like0CommentsWorld Building Tips/ Don't get bored
Hey everyone, Okay, TL;DR I've been playing with my sims legacy generation for a while now and I'm trying to develop the lore around my vampire/werewolf occults. I don’t have much storage left on my **bleep**ty laptop so probably can’t install any mods. so far I’ve created a few little vampire covens and werewolf packs using the get together club system. And when I was playing with my Gen 2 vampire sim I obviously had them date Caleb and I kinda played about with developing an occult council (putting all the occults into one club and kinda having them debate rules for occults and stuff). im currently playing a vampire werewolf love story which has been fun, they now have 3 children together and I really want to give each of the children a bit of a fleshed out story. So if anyone has any ideas or gameplay tips because I’m so passionate about this save file atm and I don’t want to get bored!Lion-In-A-Teacup10 days agoSeasoned Adventurer27Views1like0CommentsAiden's resurrection | Part 2

I'm looking for a specific lot that I saw some weeks ago. I think I may have even downloaded it, but a patch seemed to revert my own gallery to a version several weeks or months past. It was a 5-story lot, built into a cliffside. I don't remember any other details, aside from it may have been intended for Sulani. Thanks for any and all help!Hooberly22 days agoRising Newcomer14Views0likes0CommentsPremade townies' personal notes
Maybe Mortimer Goth writes about his beloved collection of bugs. Perhaps Vladislaus Straud is scribbling melodies ideas. It's unlikely that the fate of Jacques Villareal's late wife is hidden between pages about gardening, but someone should check anyway. Core Concept: Guide a family through generations, ensuring each generation's parents complete Distinguished university degrees while continuously maintaining their family's fame. A key aspect of the challenge is maintaining strong family relationships, particularly between the parents and their chosen heir. The challenge allows players to continue for as long as they desire, with a specific "ending section." Note for Content Creators: For this challenge the # is #TheFFADChallange. (if you have better ideas I am all ears) Packs Highly Recommended: Get Famous: Absolutely essential for the fame mechanic. Discover University: Crucial for the university mechanic, especially for Distinguished Degrees. General Challenge Rules: Starting Out (Generation 1 Specific): Start with two Young Adult Sims who are your designated "parents" for Generation 1. They must be living together in the active household. They can begin in any world. You can use as much money as you desire to purchase and furnish your first house/lot. Once the house is purchased and furnished, your household funds must be set to exactly §20,000. Use money cheats to achieve this if necessary. All subsequent moves or property purchases in this generation and future generations must be paid for with earned in-game money. Generation 1 Skill Cheats: For your Generation 1 parents only, you may use skill cheats (e.g., stats.set_skill_level [skillname] [level]) to give them starting skills that will help them gain fame and be accepted into Distinguished Degree programs. This is only for the first generation. Subsequent generations must earn skills legitimately. Fame Maintenance - Crucial for Survival: Parental Fame: The current parents of the current generation (meaning the Sims designated as the next heir's parents) must maintain their fame. If one parent loses all fame (drops to 0 fame stars), that parent must be immediately moved out of the household or killed off. They are no longer part of the challenge. The remaining parent must then complete all parental requirements (university, fame maintenance) as a single parent. If both parents lose all fame (both drop to 0 fame stars), the challenge ends in failure. Children's Fame: Children (from Infants to Teenagers) can lose all fame and regain it. There is no penalty for them losing fame at these life stages. Generational Fame Checkpoint: When a new heir becomes a Young Adult (triggering the start of a new generation), the active household must collectively have at least 3 fame stars. If they do not, the challenge ends in failure. Generational Progression (The Core Cycle): Heir Apparent: Each generation must have a designated "heir." This Sim will carry on the legacy. Mandatory Births: All children in the active household must be born as babies. No adopting or adding Sims from outside the family tree, unless specifically for a spouse. Strict Aging: You must wait for the birthday notification for each Sim to age them up at every life stage. No manual aging up prematurely. University Requirement: For Generation 1, both starting parents MUST attend and successfully graduate from a Distinguished Degree program from either university. For all subsequent generations, the parents of the next heir (meaning the heir's parents) MUST both attend and successfully graduate from a Distinguished Degree program from either university. This must be completed before the heir becomes a Young Adult. If the heir's parents become a single-parent household (due to fame loss, death, etc.), only the remaining parent needs to attend and graduate from a Distinguished Degree program. Post-University Career Requirement: After completing their Distinguished Degree, each parent must immediately join a career that is specifically aligned with their chosen degree. They must aim to progress in this career. Guidance for Career Alignment: Refer to in-game descriptions or reliable Sims 4 guides (like Carl's Sims 4 Guide or similar) that list recommended careers for each university degree. For example, a Distinguished Biology degree might lead to a Doctor or Conservationist career, while a Distinguished Fine Art degree might lead to a Painter or Musician career. Players should choose one of the recommended or obvious choices. Generational Transition Housing: When the new heir becomes a Young Adult (signaling the start of their generation), the player must choose one of the following: Option 1: Heir Moves Out: The heir (and their chosen spouse, if applicable) moves out of the current family home and establishes a new residence. The previous generation's parents and any unchosen siblings remain in the original home, and the player switches to controlling the heir's new household. Option 2: Old Generation Moves Out: The previous generation's parents (and any unchosen siblings) move out of the family home, leaving the heir and their chosen spouse (if applicable) to take over the existing residence. The player remains on the same lot. Parent-Heir Relationship: When the heir becomes a Young Adult, their relationship with both of their parents (biological or adoptive) must be at least "Good Friends" (a green bar that is over halfway full) on the friendship track. If a parent is no longer in the household (due to fame loss or death), this rule still applies if they existed long enough for a relationship to form. Loss Conditions (Game Over!): The current parents of the current generation both lose all fame (drop to 0 fame stars). At the start of a new generation (when the heir becomes a Young Adult), the active household has less than 3 fame stars collectively. The parents of the next heir fail to graduate from a Distinguished Degree program before the heir becomes a Young Adult. A parent fails to join a degree-aligned career after graduation. When the heir becomes a Young Adult, their relationship with either of their parents is not at least "Good Friends". General Rules: Aging: You can play with normal or long lifespan. Normal is recommended for a balanced challenge. Money Cheats: Only allowed for setting the initial §20,000 for Generation 1 after the first house purchase, and for Generation 1 skill cheats as specified. No other money cheats are permitted. Mods/CC: Player's discretion, but avoid mods that significantly simplify core challenge mechanics (e.g., instant skill gain, infinite fame/money). The "Ending Section" This provides a definitive conclusion for players who wish to complete their challenge rather than playing indefinitely. Trigger: A player decides they want to end the challenge with the current generation. This can be done at any point after the current heir has become a Young Adult. Ending Section Requirements (All must be met by the current active household heir AND their spouse/partner, if applicable): Maximum Fame Attained: The heir (and their spouse, if they have one and are part of the active household) must both achieve 5-star Celebrity status. Top of Their Field: The heir (and their spouse, if applicable) must both reach Level 10 in a career related to their university degree (or a career that makes sense for their life path if they weren't the "parent" who went to university). Philanthropic Legacy: The active household must donate at least §100,000 to charity via the computer interaction (this can be cumulative over time within this final generation). Grand Residence: The active household must own a residence valued at least §500,000 (including lot and build mode items). Master of Many Trades: The heir (and their spouse, if applicable) must each max out at least 5 skills. Monument to Fame: Build a "Hall of Fame" or "Legacy Museum" on their home lot. This could be a dedicated room or building showcasing memorabilia, awards, portraits of previous generations, and any other items that tell the story of their family's fame and achievements.PieceNinja1027 days agoSeasoned Newcomer96Views3likes0Comments🧁 Grandma Sims Presents: The Cupcake Café (Downloadable Shell + YouTube Tour!)

# 3 Generations (add more if you like just add the rest of the story) and screen shot and tag me please i would love to see if anyone would go along with this creepy yet intriguing story line of the Velmire Legacy what is it going to be how will your heir legacy turn out... 📜 Basic Rules Start with Lady Seraphina on a 64x64 castle lot ( build a castle or download from gallery i have one but it has mods and ccs(The Velmire Castle). No money cheats after the castle is placed (unless you want to simulate a treasury). Each generation faces a prophecy event (see below). Ghosts must remain on the lot once introduced—fate isn’t so easily buried. The heir is chosen not by blood alone… but by fate (explained below). 🏰 Generation I – The Crown of Echoes Heir: Seraphina Velmire Requirements: Must uncover the full family prophecy (via relics, ghost events, or journal entries). Build secret rooms and complete at least two aspiration milestones related to Knowledge or Creativity. Must fall in love with an outsider (Caelum) but cannot marry until her father dies. Requirements: Must develop two conflicting traits (e.g., Good + Evil). One sibling must betray the heir (move out, disown, or worse…). Sul Sul fellow Simmers, I created an alien based legacy challenge for my sister's stream and she thought I should publish it. It's called the Assimilate Legacy Challenge. It's a quick challenge with only 5 generations. This is my first time creating a challenge. I would love to get some feedback. I really enjoyed working on this one and might make another one at a later date. My sister's channel: ribbitingkitten - Twitch This is the challenge's google doc: ASSIMILATE LEGACY CHALLENGE ASSIMILATE LEGACY CHALLENGE Overview: This is an alien challenge for the Sims 4. The overall goal is to ‘assimilate’ your alien sim into the main sim world as if they were from Sixam. The population of Sixam is dying and the government has opened a volunteer program to see if living in the world of Maxis is a viable way to say your species. I don't know what the actual world the sims live in is called so I just used Maxis since the alien world is Maxis backwards. This is a 5 generation legacy challenge, that I have created with and for my sister ribbitingkitten on Twitch based off of her current legacy sim. Please forgive me for my lack of art and formatting. I live in a semi-truck and have very little time to add the pretty effects. If you want to add more generations my suggestion is to alternate the ones I have written with the more nature based packs. General Rules You will need to have at least 1 Alien Child to become your successor. If your alien is discovered you must add a lot challenge and it cannot be removed until one of your children has maxed a skill or receives an A in high school. The challenges added for being discovered are accumulative and follow your heir to their house. Only one challenge may be removed per child. First Generation Bio: With the population waning on Sixam. Their government decided to open a volunteer program for citizens to travel to the Sim world of Maxis and gather information about how well they can assimilate into the Sims way of life. Your founder is one of the volunteers for this program. The Mission: Hello Founder, You are selected to go on the first mission of assimilation. You are assigned to live in a place called San Myshuno, as this is a long term mission we strongly advise you start a family. We require that you collect samples of the immediate culture. And remember do not expose your true nature. Sixam Volunteer Program Tasks: - Career open for your choosing. - Marry a sim with horrible compatibility. You are new to Maxis and do not understand everything about the local sims population. - Complete the Snow Globe and Posters collection - Max the Singing skill and the Dance Skill - Complete the City Native Aspiration - Get Divorced after child Traits: - Dance Machine - Love Bug - Outgoing This generation is based on the sim Neila Volt that my sister made. Neila was already in existence while I was writing this challenge for ribbitingkitten. She already had a really fun story going for her sim and was looking for a way to spice up her gameplay and it inspired me. Second Generation The Mission: Hello Successor, Your progenitor volunteered for the mission of assimilation. You are to move to a new location and study that location. We would like to see how large the family unit can become. We also require that you look into this Salvadorada and acquire samples for further testing. As this is a long term mission we strongly advise you start a family. We require that you collect samples of the immediate culture. And remember do not expose your true nature. Sixam Volunteer Program Tasks: - Career Education Career in the Professor Branch - Complete the Omiscan Artifacts/Treasures and Fossils collection - Max the Parenting Skill and *Both* of the Jungle Adventure Skills - Complete the Big Happy Family Aspiration - Have 4-5 kids or Max the household for additional challenge Traits: - Family Oriented - Bookworm - Romantically Reserved My thoughts with this generation were that this heir has witnessed their family break at a young age, and is now more reserved about affection but also really wants a large family. Third Generation The Mission: Hello Successor, Your progenitor volunteered for the mission of assimilation. You are to move to a new location and study that location. We require that you study what the locals call an Ocean. As this is a long term mission we strongly advise you start a family. We require that you collect samples of the immediate culture. And remember do not expose your true nature. Sixam Volunteer Program Tasks: - Become a freelancer and make videos of your beach life - Complete the Seashells and Buried Treasure collection - Max the Fitness Skill, Guitar and Fishing Skills - Complete the Beach Live Aspiration - Stay in Shape for that Beach Bod - Become Famous Traits: - Self Absorbed - Lazy - High Maintenance With this generation, I thought maybe they couldn’t stand how hard their parents were working and requiring them to work and study hard as well. So upon being a young adult they set out on their own, wanting to relax and got a little carried away with the relaxing part becoming lazy. Fourth Generation The Mission: Hello Successor, Your progenitor volunteered for the mission of assimilation. You are to move to a new location and study that location, as this is a long term mission we strongly advise you start a family. We require that you collect samples of the immediate culture. And remember do not expose your true nature. Sixam Volunteer Program Tasks: - Become a Detective - Complete the Simmies and the MySims Trophy collection - Max the Rock Climbing Skill, Flower Arranging and Pottery Skills - Complete the Extreme Sports Enthusiast Aspiration - Earn the Spicy Hound Trait Traits: - Adventurous - Vegetarian - Snob This heir grew up longing for structure, and ends up joining the detective career to fulfill that need. They still take the time to enjoy life. Fifth Generation The Mission: Hello Successor, Your progenitor volunteered for the mission of assimilation. You are to move to a new location and study that location, as this is a long term mission we strongly advise you start a family. We require that you collect samples of the immediate culture. Once you complete the following tasks bring all of the samples collected to Sixam. And remember do not expose your true nature. Sixam Volunteer Program Tasks: - Run a 5 Star Shady Small Business - Max the Shady Alignment - Complete the Trashley Certified Art and Steal All the Collections from your predecessors - Max the Mischief Skill, Guitar and Fishing Skills - Complete the Sticky Fingers Aspiration - Get to Sixam Traits: - Kleptomaniac - Shady - Clumsy This generation is rebellious against their parents' strict discipline. Swing the pendulum so far to the other side they have started to partake in criminal activities.GhiraCygnus2 months agoRising Newcomer85Views1like0CommentsAdvice: How to Fix a Staircase After Downloading a Lot from the Gallery
I enjoy downloading interesting builds from the Gallery, and I love sharing my own creations as well. I always test everything I upload, but sometimes, even though my lots aren't free from bugs and they still have issues. I’ve noticed that one of my best-performing creations might be non-functional for some of the players. Additionally, I’ve seen that many simmers what have similar problem with other creations seek advice on what to do in this situation or even blame the creator for the error. Personally, I try to avoid clutter and decorations on the staircase to minimize risk. However, sometimes, after downloading my own build, previously functional house stops working properly. If you encounter this bug, the solution is simple: just remove the existing staircase and place a new one. This should fix the issue every time. I refer to this build I made some time ago: https://www.ea.com/en-gb/games/the-sims/the-sims-4/pc/gallery/C893452FD9AC41E9A75B368D56B2BBC3?category=all&searchtype=ea_origin_id&sortby=downloads&time=all&searchquery=Sthenastia&max=50&maxis=false&setLocale=en-gbSthenastia2 months agoSeasoned Ace27Views1like0CommentsCompetition Reality TV Sims 4 Gameplay Challenge

Hey! I've decided to use this post as a thread to post the different chapters and photos of the story I'm creating with my Sims. This story will focus on a Sims family called the Steins and will follow their lives through their diary entries. PROLOGUE 🪡🪡🪡🪡🪡🪡🪡🪡🪡🪡🪡🪡🪡🪡🪡🪡🪡 Ravenwood & Forgotten Hollow Chronicles 🪡🪡🪡🪡🪡🪡🪡🪡🪡🪡🪡🪡🪡🪡🪡🪡🪡 The tale of the Stein family is stitched across generations. It is inked into diary pages passed down like sacred relics. Each entry is a thread in a haunting, beautiful tapestry of life, death, and everything in between. The story begins when the family went different ways. Some moved to the vampiric enclave of Forgotten Hollow. Others chose the shadowed, whispering woods of Ravenwood. In Forgotten Hollow, Lady Stein is the family’s commanding and elegant matriarch. She documents her life with sharp wit. She also has a taste for the dramatic. She writes by candlelight in a mansion cloaked in ivy and secrets. There, time moves slowly, and the moon always looms just a little too close. Her teenage daughter, Frankie Stein, appears in the pages as a restless soul. She is rebellious and curious. She is caught between the weight of her mother’s legacy and her own desire for freedom. Lady’s diary entries reflect both pride and frustration as she tries to mold Frankie into something more than just her heir. Miles away, in the misty depths of Ravenwood, Cecilia-Stitch Stein—Lady’s younger sister—pens a very different story. Reanimated by science and bound together with sorrow and strength, Cecilia finds quiet solace in her solitude. Her journal speaks of early mornings with fog curling over the hills, the stillness of graveyards, and the bittersweet joys of raising her infant daughter, Nyx Steins. Born from a fleeting encounter with the mysterious Time Traveler Emit Relevart, Nyx represents both a new beginning and a painful reminder of love lost to time. As the years pass, these diaries trace the growing divide—and the invisible threads—that still bind the family across space and secrets. Through Lady’s ambition, Frankie’s rebellion, Cecilia’s resilience, and Nyx’s unknown future, the Steins’ story unfolds not just as a tale of the supernatural, but as a testament to family, fate, and the choices that echo across generations. Hi everyone! I have created this notion template to track completing everything in the Sims 4. I know other people have made similar trackers in excel, but I wanted to create a version for Notion and share for anyone that would like to use this as well! I put in as much as I could find, but if there is anything that can be added as far as "completing" everything in the Sims 4, please let me know!! I plan to play a legacy over many generations and casually try to complete everything, but this could also be used just in general across different saves or challenges to track all the different things that can be completed. I haven't started using this yet, I will start playing and using this tracker this weekend. If I notice sections that need to be updated, or when upcoming additions come to the game I will go back and update the tracker as well. If anyone uses this and has any feedback or questions, please let me know! :) --- Click here to view Notion template Duplicate the template to your own workspace.
