My game will sometimes launch & sometimes not with the same CC
Which platform? Mac Any mods or cc? Yes but script mods are removed and so is 95% of my CC (for debugging) Game Version? Up to date Description: I have been debugging for hours and managed to remove some “corrupted” save files and old mods. So I’m in the process of reintroducing everything and when adding back my CC, it sometimes launches & sometimes doesn’t, WITH NOTHING CHANGING. I have deleted the localtumb thingy multiple times, enabled & disabled mods (in game). I don’t understand why it sometimes launches? I just want to add all my CC & mods back 😭 (I have been doing this for 4+ hours) I’m also not even sure if those mod & save files were corrupted, as apparently my sims has a mind of its own when it does & doesn’t want to launch 🤷♀️
Marketplace update broke The Sims 4
I’ve been playing The Sims since the original game came out back in 2001. This whole “update” model you guys have come up with is just horrible but never has an update broken my game as much as this latest “Marketplace” update you sharks came up with to squeeze every last penny out of this outdated game. My game now only “loads” to what looks like it should be the main menu, the background is completely black and the few icons visible are not even clickable. I have waited patiently for the developers to fix this massive error on their own, but it’s been weeks now and still nothing. So last night I finally uninstalled and reinstalled the game on my PC and it still is having the exact same issues. After being a dedicated Sims player for this long and sharing it with my kids and now they love it too, I have never been so utterly disappointed in the way in which a once amazing PC game has devolved into nothing but some kind of pay to play scheme. The Sims 4 SUCKS now and I probably won’t be playing this crap game ever again! Way to go developers, you’ve just lost one of your longest playing customers as well as my 4 children, from which you’ll never see a dime. I've wanted to try this mod for so long but the new update has made it incompatible and the creator is no longer active :( I have the Better Exceptions report showing what the problem is, if any modders know how to make it work again please let me know. I don't know a single thing about modding so help would be appreciated.Enabling Script Mods Breaks my Game
Recently, I thought about trying out script mods for the first time, so I downloaded 4 to test them out. I put them in mods folder. However, when I went to the options menu and enabled "script mods", my game started having issues: when I enter my saves, the game is stuck in worlds select mode and won't let me enter any lot, plus the weird glitchy blue box and other stuff in the left corner of my screen (see images). At first I thought I downloaded a broken script mod so I removed all script mods from the mods folder, yet still, same problem remained. The problem only stopped after I turned off the "script mods" option in the settings of the game. For the record, I do use cc (CAS and furniture), but I've never had issues with them and the game launches and works normally with them, this only happened when I enabled the script mods option, and goes away when I disable it. could the problem be in the cc, but they only break when script mods are enabled? I really want to use script mods, does anyone know how to solve this or the cause of the problem?
Sims 4 Won't Load
I am trying to play Sims 4. I was playing it earlier today but exited out so it could update with the new packs I had purchased. Now, it won't go past the green spinning Plum-bomb after I click "Resume Game." If I open it through "Load Game," it takes me to the worlds screen but when I select a household, it stays on the green spinning Plum-bomb still. I have removed all my mods, uninstalled the EA app and reinstalled it, repaired the game many times, shut down and restarted my computer several times (Windows PC laptop) and now am reinstalling the game itself. Could it be one of the packs I purchased causing it to not work? It's beyond frustrating and I'm at a loss of what to do. 😭 I will update when it is finished installing if it is still not loading; I just wanted to post to try to find possible solutions while I wait forever for it to install.
Sims excessively flirt with others (Patch 1.122.2.18)
I'm still experiencing an issue where Sims flirt with each other constantly, regardless of their relationship status. Even when Sims are already in commited relationships they will: autonomously flirt with other Sims accept or initiate romantic interactions with almost everyone And on top of that, there's also a jealousy issue: if another Sim flirts with my Sim's parnter, the partner gets jealous this happens even when the interaction is rejected This just kinda ruins my game because it completely breaks my relationship because Sims get upset over things they didn't even participate in. I'm aware there was already a report about this ("Sims excessively flirt with others") and it's supposed to be fixed. But in my game nothing has changed - the issue is still fully present. What is really happening!
Every time I try to change my Sims' clothes, I get to the page but nothing. All there is is the person and nothing else. I cannot change anything. The only way I can get off of it is to do an task manager shut down. I have restarted the game, even reloaded the entire game. (which caused me to lose all of my saved games) Is there anything I can do to fix this issue?Script mods don't work
Please help me. I don't have any script mods working at all. When I start the game, there aren't any in the window at all. And this is only with script mods, mods for the clothes and furniture work. What I did: I updated each mod to the latest version and reinstalled, reinstalled the game, checked the options in sims for additional content and script mods, checked for conflicting mods, checked the game files and the mods folder. I tried to do any script mode in empty game but it still doesn't workblack startup screen
i updated my game 2 days ago and when i opened it, it look like this, not a single button is working, i cant even close the game until i shutdown my laptop completely. i dont think i have UI mods to cause this. this is mod issue because after opening the game right after the update it was normal but i after i changed the settings it became like this and now i cant open the menu bar.EA this has gotten out of hand.
I have barely been an owner/player of the sims for a year and i’m already considering being done with the Sims 4. Ever since the update to add marketplace my game will run FINE for one day MAX then all of sudden I have to delete CC for THREE DAYS STRAIGHT NOT EVEN JOKING before I can barely get a days worth of gameplay in. ITS RIDICULOUS CONSIDERING HOW MUCH OF MY MONEY I HAVE SPENT ON A UNPLAYABLE GAME. If you didn’t want people to add CC/MODS how about you make your base game not so LACKLUSTER and put in a little EFFORT. Good riddance EA after this I realized I am officially done. Stardew Valley here I come.
all my cc disappeared
this morning i downloaded some cc and opened sims as usual, said it was missing a file so i repaired it... i went to put the cc in the right folder but it was being weird so i pinned mods to quick access. but when i opened the game, all my cc was gone from the mods folder itself! idk what happened, i had like 2500 files but it all deleted! i looked in my trash but it wasnt in there :/ it created ( i think? ) a new mods folder in a "content" folder, i genuiely have no clue whats going on...Pack are not included even tho they are downloaded
So i have packs and now my game does not load any of them to the game. It says you dont have these packs even tho i have and i have downloaded them all and my ea says i have them downloaded. I tried repair all the packs and everything but still nothing works.my sims couple won’t sleep in the same bed together.
I have been having this issue for awhile with my single sims, but I had just assumed it was a bug with the bed. Basically what happens is that when I have a sims couple, and I have them both go to bed, one will be able to sleep, and the other one will “get in bed,” not get under the sheets, and then immediately exit out the bed a few seconds later. I have tried batch fixing my cc, and I went and made sure I didn’t have the cuddle mod in my game. There isn’t any music playing, no objects in the way, and my sims couple has a maxed out friendship and romance bar. I have deleted my cc bed and tried a maxis bed and the same thing happens. Also, my cuddle interaction won’t work. I assume it’s because of the same reason my sims can’t sleep together. When I initiate the cuddle reaction, they act like they can’t access the bed. I’m not sure what else to do to fix this interaction. Pls help!

Hello, my Sims 4 game will not open due to a corrupt custom content file that I deleted. I tried to repair the game, do a one-by-one in a new folder. The file I need is nowhere to be found, and I really do not want to lose my game. It's a file starting in " ._ ". I got redirected here, so I hope someone can please help me after trying all the troubleshooting steps I was sent.
SIMS4 MODIFY CAS,ONLY BLANK BACKGROUND WITH JUST SIM SHOWING
When i click modify cas in mccc or even normally with testingcheats,it just show my sim alone with no options i can just rotate him i cant even enter main menu or anything so i need to close my game with task manager my ui mods are all updated so i have no idea what could cause this cuz it worked just fine a few days ago,so pls help anyone
