After replacing the motherboard, there was an issue with Battlefield 2042.
It turns out my motherboard was the MSI B450M Mortar MAX. When playing Battlefield 2042, even though CPU usage would reach 100%, there were no stuttering issues. But after switching to the ASUS B550M TUF GAMING PLUS WIFI II motherboard, I experienced severe stuttering and couldn't play the game properly. Apart from the motherboard, no other hardware has been changed. CPU:AMD 5700x memory:16G*2 2133/2400/3200/XMP3600/OC3800MHz Graphics card :ASUS RX9070GRE psu:COUGAR GX1050w Changes already attempted: Changed Windows version to 10 or 11. Updated the BIOS to the latest version and then downgraded to the version released in October 2023. Replaced with memory from another brand, 8GB * 2, 2400 MHz. Disabled any overclocking options, power-saving options, TPM, and trusted computing in the BIOS. Used user.cfg to limit cores and threads. Changed the PCIe 16x_1 interface protocol for the graphics card to Gen3 (this had the biggest improvement, but it only works for infantry on the ground; high-speed movements like TV or jets still cause stuttering). Moved the graphics card to the second slot, running in PCI_E 3.0 *4 mode. Tested using FurMark and AIDA64, both GPU and CPU were at 100%, but no fluctuation like in the image occurred. The temperatures of the CPU and GPU are normal. The CPU doesn't exceed 80°C, and the GPU doesn't exceed 60°C. After trying these things with no effect, I thought the power supply or CPU might be the problem. Since I didn’t change any other components, I switched back to the B450M motherboard, and everything returned to normal. Then, I had the retailer replace it with another B550 motherboard, but the stuttering issue remained. The stuttering is accompanied by CPU and GPU utilization fluctuating in a sawtooth pattern. During detection, the CPU power drops. For example, during gameplay, it's at 110W, but during stuttering, the power drops to 60W, as shown in the image below.ZksptR2 hours agoRising Novice126Views0likes15CommentsGame Crashes after Couple Minutes Lifting CPU to 100% after matchmaking
PC (Steam), Ryzen 5 5600x, rtx 3060, 16gb ram, windows 11. Game crashes consistently on match start/loading screen with high cpu usage and freeze. I have already: Verfied files, updated/rolled back drivers (I have 200 hrs on the game so), reinstalled the game, tried clean boot + safe mode, disabled overlays, and used Windbg -> isGlimpseEnabled crash with INVALID_POINTER_WRITE error.13Views0likes1CommentHas been banned for more than 3 years now
I've been through the same thing many players have experienced. I was playing BF2042 and I loves this game and suddenly the game crashed. It's not a problem because I just have to restart the game, but it's rare. I got to the splash screen and got a message that I couldn't connect to the servers. I'll wait until the next day because it must be a bug. I read about my situation and I can't even log in with my account because it's permanently banned! What have I done to make this happen, I simply still do not know. I only play on console and I have never experienced this anywhere else or in other games. The problem that I have had to live with for 3-4 years now. My Xbox account is linked to the banned account. So no matter how many new accounts I create, my Xbox is linked to the banned account. This means that I can never, ever play EA games. Okay, I can create a brand new Xbox account, but then I have to say goodbye to 23 years of gaming history. No, that's not going to happen. I've tried to send in my case a few times, but my cases are not being processed or I'm told how to connect an account. Now it's 3-4 years later can anyone help me? Please don't delete this, I need help, because want to play BF6MrZenDK4 hours agoRising Newcomer27Views0likes2CommentsGame wont launch anymore (years later)

Hello! I havent launched 2042 in a long time and wanted to jump in after seeing bf6 footage. I just discovered that theres a new anti cheat and there seem to be lots of ppl having issues. I use cheat engine to run Spartan Mod for Ghost Recon Breakpoint along with mods and nexus's mod manager for many single player games. Will the new anti cheat do anything to my system if these apps are not running or when I run them while not in BF? Im just concerned having them may lead to issues, which my friend says it will, so I would like to be sure before reinstalling. Any help would be appreciated. Bug Report: Battlefield 2042 Crash on Death Animation So earlier today I started back playing Battlefield 2042 after not playing for about a year due to the new Dead Space collab with the new Outbreak mode. However, I'm having a serious issue where every time I die, right as the death animation starts to play, the game freezes and crashes immediately with no error message. This happens in all modes. I've looked online and seen others with similar issues. Some reported that deleting the cache folder for the game helped, but it was only a temporary fix — the issue returned within 30–45 minutes. Since deleting the folder didn’t help, I decided to reinstall the game, even though it’s large. Unfortunately, the problem got slightly worse: it started freezing even faster, sometimes before the death animation even starts. I then consulted ChatGPT, which recommended analyzing the crash dump file using a program called WinDbg. I did so, and shared the analysis with ChatGPT to interpret the results. ChatGPT Response Summary: Root Cause Summary: The crash was due to an Access Violation (0xC0000005) — specifically a read from a null or invalid pointer (0x0000000000000008). Crash Details: Module: amdxc64.dll (likely part of AMD graphics drivers) Function: Boost Serialization (boost::archive::detail::iserializer::load_object_data) Crash Reason: Attempted to read from RCX + 8, but RCX was NULL (0x0), leading to a crash. Contextual Clues: Crash occurred while BF2042.exe was running. Involves amdxc64.dll — a common AMD GPU driver library. Occurred during Boost serialization and DirectX 12 GPU pipeline operations. Likely Cause: A pointer used by the AMD graphics driver during deserialization or pipeline setup was NULL, causing the game to crash. So at this point, having done nearly every troubleshooting step and even running diagnostics with the help of ChatGPT, this is the closest I’ve gotten to an explanation. Hopefully someone from the developer team can help investigate further. And yes, before anyone asks — I did try switching the game to run in DirectX 11. The same issue persists. System Specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT RAM: 32 GB DDR4 OS: Windows 11 Home, 64-bit Driver Version: AMD Adrenalin – latest version as of May 2025 Troubleshooting Performed: Verified game files via Steam Reinstalled the game Updated GPU drivers to the latest AMD version Set game to run as administrator Disabled all overlays (Discord, Steam, Radeon) Disabled all background apps No overclocking is done on this systemgodoflight6668 hours agoSeasoned Newcomer7.7KViews28likes52CommentsSecure Boot Problem

I bought Battlefield 2042 on Steam but when I try to launch it I get an EA pop up asking me to activate the game. I spoke to someone on the EA Support Chat and they were incredibly unhelpful. They told me to go to System Config, disable all services and then disable all start up programs. I tried this, it did not work and they told me to go to the forums. Can anybody help me with this? I would just like to play the game I purchased.299Views0likes2CommentsWheeled warrior not popping
Hello! I would love to be able to get the platinum of this game and wheeled warrior is my last trophy missing and even although I have completed the requirements and obtained T1 with LATV4 and Pondhawk didn’t get no trophy yet. I will keep playing this amazing get and eventually get more vehicles to T1 but is there anything that can be done about it? I have tried several ways to try to unlock it like launching random games, getting them to level 41 or waiting some days and nothing seems to work. Any advice or fixed on this matter would help a lot. I know other people have the same issue.Braccial18 hours agoSeasoned Newcomer2.8KViews26likes76CommentsHelp Needed (Error code: 1:4688822970: -4685921B) for BF2042
I consistently receive the following error code about five minutes into gameplay: 1:4688822970: -4685921B. I'm running a dual-boot system with Windows 10 (22H2) and Ubuntu. I've already tried switching DNS servers, reinstalling the anticheat software, reinstalling the game, enabled secure boot, and disabling background applications, but the issue persists. Just trying to reinstall the game in time to get in the Mass Effect event. Every time I try to boot up the game the anticheat shuts it down stating winring0x60 either needs updated or disabled. The graphics driver is up to date (576.80), bios is up to date, and my specs are as follows: i5-9600K, Nvidia RTX 3080, 32 GB ram, Asus ROG Z390-E motherboard. So I went to go play after seeing the reveals of Battlefield 6 and I normally play KBAM in gunfights and Controller when piloting but for some reason my game thinks my controller is plugged in(Its not) and wont let me move my mouse to aim around. It just continuously drifts like a controller with stick drift is plugged in. ALSO, when i plug the controller in it doesn't even register and wont move anything. The ONLY fix is to go into settings and unbind every controller movement for On Foot and pilot settings. Ive tried to uninstall the game and reinstall(Did not work) and Deleted the BF2042 folder in documents(Did not work).xEnergyFPS2 days agoNewcomer13Views0likes0CommentsMouse and Keyboard Lag
