Cannot recover Account
I have been a long time player, but have been away s few years. I tried to long in but had an authenticator, which they no loner use. I cannot remove the authenticator since Yahoo deactivate my email attached to the account. I have reactivated the same email but still have/can not received the code to remove the authenticator I have always maintained a paid account, even when the game when FTP, so there should be plenty of records regarding my subscriptions. I wanted to log back into my swtor account, but I can't remember which email I used. The eamil addresses I used and can remember aren't the one for the account, I even have premium on it. I recently started playing SWTOR on my laptop again and for the past week I've had no issues running it with high graphics settings. Yesterday, however, after I successfully launched the game via the launcher, I got stuck on the Desperate Defiance loading screen. I could hear ambient sounds and the little blue wheel kept spinning, but it seemed like I couldn't get to the servers for some reason so I was stuck on an infinite loading screen. Last night I finally managed to log on after disabling some of my Windows Defender settings and played for a few ours with no issue, but whenever I try logging on today I'm met with the same problem, so I haven't been able to log in again. I assume this is related to Windows Defender since I got the game to work once after turning some protections off, but even if that's the case I'm not quite sure which settings to change as I have both the swtor.exe and launcher.exe as exceptions (I'm unfortunately pretty ignorant when it comes to this kind of thing 😅)SolvedOimoiOP23 days agoSeasoned Novice110Views0likes8Comments

So I log into the launcher and it goes to a loading screen and not even 5s pass and it crashes with no error prompt or anything- I've already looked at a few of the faq/forums posted to edit some files for resoultion and refresh rate, I've already verified game files. I've done a clean boot- my gpu drivers are up to date and so is windows. I read that hitting Alt + Enter will make it work but it dosnt, when i load into the game i can see my curser change to a chat box when hovering over where my companion would be, i can hear my character moving and playing the game but its stuck on a black screen before closing itself and saying something went wrong. Specifically, I'm on the Sith Inquisitor main class quest 'Testing'. I travel to the Doombringer location but when I click on the ship door to enter the Doombringer, the loading screen never finishes and I'm sent back to the character select screen. I attempted to enter this quest area three times before restarting the game and trying again another two times without success. Any help would be appreciated. I am reporting the same issue as others players have (2 for on here). SWTOR is installed on steam. Laucnher starts fine and I'm able to log in. When the game opens I'm stuck on the loading screen indefinitely. Here are the things I have tried: Checking firewall / Updating graphics / Alt + Enter / Windows + R key to acess local data settings and then changing the ''client_settings.ini'' file data or deleting it / Installing or Reinstalling DirectX / Restarting computer / Reinstalling the game / Checking game files through steam / Deleting files to force a file correction on steam / Running in administrator / Verifying Compatibility settings in task manager / Tested connection with wifi-hotspot from my phone assuming my new wifi could be the issue. Nothing has worked. I tried installing the launcher from the SWTOR website directly, but when I do an error prompt appears stating ''Download failed to contact the alias service. Timeout on I/O". In accordance with proxos666 advice in another thread, I have oppened a command prompt and proceeded with a systems file check. Some corrupted files were fixed. I than ran a clean boot. The same issue persist. The last time I was able to log in that I am certain of was on January 5th at 00h22 AM as per my most recent screenrecording of the game. To my best recollection I have not tried to log in until then. The only thing that has caught my eye is that when the launcher is ready to start, next to the play button the patch notes are "Patch notes: Game update 7.7c". I can see that game update 7.7d was released on the 17th. The game is uptodate on steam and no updates are available. I'm at a loss of what to do. I will add my DxDiag below if it helps. Stuck on loading screen
Hi, I'm having trouble getting past the loading screen, just after pressing the Play button. I tried some steps from previous forum posts, but none of them worked. *ALT+ENTER *Direct x9 *Updated drivers *Modify lines in client_settings file -FullScreen = false -D3DFullScreen = false -RefreshRate = 60 *Delete settings file *Delete SWTOR - SWTORPerf folders *Repair and reinstall This is the first time I've installed it on this new PC. Hello, My character (Triegdaad, level 80 Sith Sorcerer) is stuck on the mission "The Lost Arsenal" on Iokath. After completing the droid section, my character did not return to his body as expected. I had to manually travel to another planet and then back to Iokath in order to restore my character model. However, now I cannot progress in the mission – the instance area is closed, and I can’t access the factory. Resetting or abandoning the mission doesn’t fix the problem. Please help me by resetting the phase or advancing me past this broken point. I recently started playing SWTOR again, and hit a DLC quest in ROTHC that won't let me progress unless in an ops group. (The Quest was Taking on Toborro) No problem, moved on, and started a different questline. However I can't progress in the ROTHC questline because that quest is required but the solo missions aren't activating. I've tried everything I can think of to restarting game, joining a group to see if it'll let me in the area, and numerous other things. The only thing I can't try is abandoning quest to restart it. Hi all, I am having a trouble starting the game. I open the Launcher, log in successfully but when I press "play" the launcher disappears (like it's supposed to) but the game does not start up, nothing.... Can't start the game on Mac
I've been playing the game on Mac for the last few days without any issues. Now when I tried to start the game after logging in I got an internal error and the game won't start. Error code: C1 Client initialization failed. Failed to initialize player client. I tried restarting the Mac and I'm still getting this message.
