Hello, I've been experiencing an issue when trying to launch Mass Effect Legendary Edition. Every time I press "Play," a pop-up window appears with the message: "DisplayName field missing from registry." Despite my efforts, I haven’t been able to resolve it so far. Here are the troubleshooting steps I’ve already tried: Verified the game files on Steam. Uninstalled and reinstalled both the EA app and the game. Cleared the cache for the EA app. Performed a DNS flush. Clean booted my PC to rule out third-party software conflicts. Checked for hidden files in the license folder, but it was empty. Character Set up Screen Crashes and Hangs When Saving

Mass Effect 2 Samaras "Art" Option Missing From Loyalty Mission
Product: Mass Effect Legendary Edition Platform: PC (Win 10) Summarize your bug: the "ART" option is missing from the Morinth dialog wheel, like on the photo, I am not able to progress. During the search of Nef's room I interacted with the statue on the table, Morinth's message on the floor and listened all the holo diary entries. Doing everythin with Samara as well: when ask I her in the VIP area to summarize what we collected, she mentions the Art related clues. I do the 3 activities which after Morinth approaches Shepherd and during the conversation the Art option is missing thus I'm unable to go with her. How often does the bug occur? It's the first time in hundreds of hours in ME2. BUT: it's my first time playing it in LE as well. Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play the LE version of ME2. Start interacting with the 3 points of interests (statue, message, holo diary) in Nef's room. Following the story until you have to try to access Morinth's apartment. What happens when the bug occurs? I can't continue the conversation after Travel and Music and Morinth leaves. Mission failure, Samara won't be loyal. What do you expect to see? Being able to complete Samara's loyalty mission as before. I play with ME2 (not the LE version) since it came out, but I've never seen this bug before. This is my first playthrough in LE version, though. I do not have ANY mods at all. I tried reload, leaving Omega and doing another quest and get back before doing the loyalty mission, use one of the "wrong" topics and redeem myself, all to no avail, the bug's still there. MELE on PC won't launch properly, need technical help
Hi, I realize this is an old forum, but I'm running into the same issue. I launch the MELE launcher, select ME1, and the game crashes during the loading screen. I have tried repairing the game, tried booting from origin instead of steam, and tried moving the config files to the desktop as described here. I do not have a Documents/Bioware/MassEffectLegendaryEdition folder, so I was unable to try the last option. Any ideas?Solved282Views0likes5Comments
N7: Cerberus Abductions Mission on Benning Is Not Loading
I choose my squad, in this case Javik and James Vega. I choose their weapons. I select skills for Javik (and a couple times I skipped that in case that was the problem). James and I already have our skills set. Then I hit confirm. There is a VERY brief view of the shuttle heading to planet and then the screen goes dark. I can still SORT of hear things in my headset -- background noise I THINK is from the planet, but I can NOT see a thing. I have repaired the game once. I have reinstalled the game once. I am now at a loss as to what to do to get this mission going (it's one of my favorites in the whole game). PLEASE help!! Thank you! Hello everyone I'm experiencing a download error with Mass Effect Legendary Edition. I just CAN'T download and install it on PC. It's that simple. Some clarifications: I already played this trilogy before on this same PC (it is not a problem with requirements or permissions) I already tried all the suggestions and solutions indicated by help.ea.com (clear cache, delete temporary, etc, etc, etc... none of them worked) I already uninstalled and reinstalled (and uninstalled and reinstalled again) the app (the error keeps repeating) I already tried downloading and installing other games (NONE had problems) The ONLY game I can't download and install is MELE. The error is confusing, it has no code or explanations. The installation just doesn't start (image 1) and then a banner appears (image 2). I already tried to create an issue in EA Help and after talking to at least 5 traders, they themselves suggested me to make a post through this medium. I really don't have the slightest idea what it could be. The only thing I want is to play a game again that I already bought, that I already know works on my PC and now, for reasons that no one can explain to me, THEY WON'T EVEN LET ME DOWNLOAD. I don't know what else to try. The only thing I can think of is to download it through another platform (I have my EA account linked to Steam) but I don't know if it's possible. Hey. Yesterday i wanted to replay the ME:Andromeda. I downloaded it, but my "deluxe edition" and "deep space" contents are missing. When i check it by clicking the "manage add-ons" the EA play shows me as they're installed. But when i launch the game, i can't interact with the special delivery cache in the pathfinder cabin, there is no interaction at all. Same with the pyjak message and deep space stuff. Then i checked the game files and i didn't see any files related to said items. Also, my previous progress is missing as well, no "new game +" but this is not important for me. I tried reinstalling the game, repairing the game files; yet no change. Then i contacted the support team. They told me to follow these steps. 1st one: EA Play -> Help -> App recovery -> Clear cache 2nd one: Disable the windows services and reactivate them. reinstall the EA Play and then the game No results. My drivers are up to date. Game is running fine, JUST the DLC contents AND my previous in-game progress are missing. APEX and even my achivemenets are in tact. Before all of this, back when i first launced the game; a notification popped up though. Said something about "not being able to synced to cloud" or something like that. I didn't really pay attention cause like i said my previous saves aren't important for me. What am i missing? Oh and, now i can't recontact with the support team. Hello, I have MELE on steam and am hoping someone can help me out. When I try to play it on steam or the EA app it goes through the preparing game popup for a moment or so then says "Failed to launch game, An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later." Some of the steps I have already tried are, verifying the games files in steam, verifying the EA app with app recovery, checking updates on windows, EADesktop.exe, EALuancher.exe and MassEffectLuancher.exe are all set to run as admin, steam and EA app overlays turned off and the DLC key is unchecked in steam Mass Effect properties. At one point a ways back, the game worked for a while when the CPU was offline but once I turned the internet on and did something else the game has stopped being able to work. Hello, this is specifically for the ORIGINAL Mass Effect 2, *not* Legendary Edition. I bought it years ago when it was new, on Steam, and at some point it migrated to Origin and now to EA App. I'm having an issue right now where logging in to EA with my email and password - both valid - times out. Hours ago, it would log in fine, and all of the classic DLC was installed, and it all validated just fine, and the Cerberus UI was "open" on the main menu. I played a bit, then saved and quit. Upon launching the game again, it keeps timing out when I enter my credentials. 1. Is there a solution or is it just the servers and I should wait a bit? 2. Since all the DLC had been validated and I saved a game on that profile, can I ignore signing in for now and continue that save *WITH* the DLC anyway? The save loads fine. Is there an easy way to check my DLC is loaded ingame? Thank you in advance! Recently there has been a surge of "players" who: 1. Join the match with a character such as Asari Adept, Turian Saboteur, Batarian Adept or Ex-Cerberus Adept equipped with disruptor rounds 2. Type "changeteam" in the console to change the team 3. Type "fly" in the console to be able to follow you faster on the map 4. Spam turret / sabotage and shoot you until you die (Turian Saboteur), use Stasis or Lash to ragdoll you so you can't get up (Asari, Batarian, Ex-Cerberus) 5. Rinse, repeat until they force you to leave the game It's one thing to play with those commands in a private lobby, but I hope someone at EA can look at the game telemetry from yesterday and day before that and perma-ban those "Richards" who do this kind of stuff in public matches. Mass Effect 3 N7 Digital Deluxe Edition DLC's and online pass issue!
Hi everyone! New user here! First of all, don't get scared if I make a severe typo or anything. I'm from Spain and my knowledge of English is not the best 🙂 I recently bought Mass Effect 3 N7 Digial Deluxe Edition through Steam, but I have an issue with the DLC's. Whenever I launch the game, the game says it was unable to authorize the listed DLC's and it seems I can't redeem or buy the online pass (even though I'm supossed to've bought it). If I click on redeem or buy the online pass, I get a message that says I need an online pass to acess to online functions. Same thing when I try to access to the multiplayer. I've tried to to contact with several EA support agents to try and get this resolved but I just give up. There was not enough communication or understanding. There's any solution? I own the game on Steam. When I try to launch ME1 (from the LE launcher) the screen just turns black and nothing happens. No audio, nothing. The issue started 2 days ago. I launched the game for the first time after upgrading my system (new CPU+MB and new windows installation), the game itself was already installed and worked perfectly before (with and without mods). I loaded into a modded save and everything was fine until a cutscene started playing (the one when you go the citadel for the first time). The game crashed during the cutscene and since then it won't open at all. ME2 and ME3 work just fine. I uninstalled all my mods, verified the game files through steam, reinstalled the game, moved the folder in \Documents\BioWare (the game doesn't even create a new one), deleted the settings file in the installation folder, reinstalled the EA app. Nothing helped. My computer and monitor don't properly support HDR. If it try to turn it on under any circumstance, my TV will display a black screen with "invalid format". (I know the reason, I just don't have the ability to fix it at the moment.) Whenever this happens, I have to boot up in safe mode and mess with my registry to unbrick my computer. Due to this, I never run games in HDR. While I know there's a way to disable HDR from within the MELE games, I can't see the screens to do so. So is there a way to disable HDR from a settings file outside the games? For ME1, it looks like it would be in "BIOEngine.ini" but there's no simple TRUE / FALSE line for enabling or disabling HDR within the "[HDR]" section. Anyone know what setting I need to change? I use the EA app, and when I tried to make a purchase it didn't have an option for debit. The page with payment methods said it accepted it, so I just tried to use the credit card option but with my debit card info, but the security code keeps telling me it's wrong, but I know it's not. I have put in my information in multiple times. I have closed and reopened the app. I have seen other people report this issue back with Origin, but I want more recent information that could help me. Andromeda Audio having Controller Issues Post Origin
So I recently started playing Andromeda after a long 5 or so years when I bought it on Origin. Initially I had issues with my controller having issues swapping between controller input and keyboard but somehow solved it by either reinstalling or running as administrator. My audio meanwhile has not started working no matter what I do. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, double checked drivers and default audio sources, repaired the installation. I've fiddled and faddled with every little thing I can think of. Has anyone else had this issue or have any suggestions?
