Mass Effect Legendary Edition on Steam is not launching (EA app issues?)
I got gifted Mass Effect Legendary Edition on Steam, but I can’t launch it because of the EA App. When I click Play in Steam, it validates for a bit, then opens the EA App, but the EA App doesn’t recognize the game as installed. It just says: “To launch on the EA App, download this game through Steam” and nothing happens after that. I don't get an error message. Here’s what I’ve already tried: -Uninstalled and reinstalled both the EA App and the game from Steam. -Cleared the EA App cache (using App Recovery). -Deleted the ProgramData\Electronic Arts and AppData\Local\Electronic Arts folders. -Verified the game files in Steam. Despite all that, EA App still shows the game as “Download and launch from Steam” instead of Installed, so Steam launches EA App but the game never starts. Has anyone found a working fix for this recently? I saw old posts mentioning Origin, but since Origin is gone, I can’t try those solutions. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I just want to play the game.ME Leg crashed at launch with reset password suggestion.
Every time I try and run Mass Effect Legendary it starts, gets to the 'preparing game' screen and then the following error message pops up: 'There's been an error Try resetting your password and restarting your game. You can now close this window' I've tried everything. Help!
PC - Mass Effect 3 Online Pass Error
Hi everyone, I also have the Online Pass Error Message Problem and cannot access the Multiplayer Part of the game. The single Player DLCs seem all to work. "An online pass is required to access online features of the game." I bought the standard game edition with all DLCs originally on my Origin Account. My first online Pass Error was fixed by the support. After the transition to the EA App it happened again and the support fixed it again. Last year I got the problem the third time and after two weeks of writing emails with the EA Support and chatting with the Live Chat Service, I gave up. So new try: I did the following steps by @ EA_Shepard: Repaired Mass Effect 3 Delete License Files Delete Windows Temp Files Uninstall EA APP and ME 3 with revo setup DELETE and Reinstall EA APP and ME 3 several times I really hope I get access back to the Multiplayer. Mass Effect 2 - Failure to Launch
Every time I try and launch Mass Effect 2 I get an error screen on EA App that "An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try it again a little later". A little later it still isn't launching and Uninstalling and reinstalling it also didn't help. I'm not sure what to do or how to fix it. Is this just me? I played 2 days ago, the ME series is my preferred game and I finished 1-3 over 25 times. My fiber provider had a tech yesterday and I tried to start a offline session... what didn't work. Connection is back but the EA Launcher just stands on: Launching Game.. now for about 1 hour. I did a repair.. Repair successful.. but nothing makes the game start again. This App is just a hassle and EA is off my list to ever buy a game again. If you can't run a working Launcher for your own games, you suck! I honestly had enough with this crap app, is not the first time it refuses to start a game i bought. Worst app ever.. and I got my first PC with 15 (VC20).. now 56 years old.
ME 3 Multiplayer, cant play with my friends
So yesterday out of nostalgy i convinced my friend to buy a copy of Mass Effect 3. She activated it, downloadet it but EA app doesnt show her any add ons except Extended cut. It is a problem because when we try to play multiplayer together it shows we cant play together because I have multiplayer add ons (Reckoning, Earth...) that were free updates and she doesnt. Unfortunately i cant just simply deactivate them or something. Does anyone have an advice on what to do with it?
Mass Effect Andromeda wont launch
No matter what I try the game wont launch, it seems multiple people have been having this issue but so far nothing has been fixed, its clearly something to do with the ea app. I own the game on steam and every time I try to start it I see the ea app start to load then it disappears and the games is no longer launching, if the ea app is already running, launching the game will cause the app to close then reopen. Btw i have tried reinstalling the game, the app, restarting my pc, updating windows, clearing the ea app cache and more but the problem still remains.Mass Effect 5 ?
The Mass Effect series is by far the best best gaming experience I've ever had and I'm an old dude from way back to the Atari Pong days. I haven't always gamed, had to raise a family. Now I'm older, everyone is grown and gone and I got bored. So, I bought an Xbox Series S. Played a lot of games and then found the Mass Effect series. No other of the thousands of games I've played even compare to this, being able to make discussion choices that change the outcome of the game, the graphics, the storyline, romances, variable endings, it is like living in the moment, in a movie, being part of the game and story. This is awesome. Don't make us wait too long for Mass Effect 5 or whatever you will name it. With the creation of AI you could develop the most interactive and realistic game imaginable, I'm getting old fast, retirement is right around the corner. Do this old man with nothing else to do a favor, get on with creating the newest Mass Effect, keep this series and legacy going for generations to come, in other words, hurry the heck up young folk, I ain't got all day 😁. I need another interactive adventure before my time runs out or I start to lose my faculties. Today's TV shows and Movies suck. I need a gaming experience I can feel a part of. Hello, first time posting here. When trying to access the Career tab on the website I'm recieving an error message reading: "Oops, an error occured. Please refresh the page and retry." Refreshing the page does not fix anything, in fact the same error occurs when pressing the Sync Career button. This error persists even when trying to use the page on another device. Also this has been an issue since last December at the very least.
Mass Effect 2 begins to launch but then just shuts down
Good evening, I have tried to open my ME2 but cannot get the game to continue. once i "press any key to continue" it just shuts done and gave me the following message in the EA App, "an error on our end caused the lauch to fail. try again a little later". i have clear cache, repaired, uninstalled and re installed, try to open it in steam. nothing works please advise.
Can't launch Mass Effect 3 (Steam version)
Hey, I can't really get any help from EA help, so this is kind of just a question for someone who knows what they're doing. I cannot launch Mass Effect 3 (purchased from Steam) at all. The main reason why I want to continue playing Mass Effect 3 (instead of LE) is for the multiplayer. I owned it already on Origin/EA app, but I went ahead and bought a Steam copy for achievements and collection sake, but when I try to launch from steam, the EA app just flickers and closes, followed by a "Failed to launch game" error, with a description saying that "An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later." I have tried many things to try and resolve this, like uninstalling EA app, Steam, and Mass Effect 3 with revo uninstaller and doing clean installs, trying to run everything in administrator, and deleting the 71183.dlf file in the License folder in programdata. One thing that I have discovered is that if I install my old Origin-purchased copy of Mass Effect 3, then I am able to launch that from the EA app just fine. For whatever reason, it seems to be the Steam copy that has this issue. I suppose I could try to refund the Steam copy and just keep using the EA app, but I'd rather have the Steam-related stuff available like the guides and community tab and achievements and such. Could my issue be something to do with EA app getting confused about how I have two Mass Effect 3s? If so, how do I fix it?
Mass Effect Andromeda refuses to launch
Reinstalled the game & the EA app multiple times, removed anything EA related from my registry. I vaguely recall it asking for a game key to validate (????) had me open an origin pop up, but it never came up again. Got all of these through steam, how am I supposed to validate a game that ran with no issues previously? It just keeps opening for 1 second then going back to the EA app...
Completely Unable to Launch ME:A
For some reason the game refuses to launch either through steam or the EA app. I tried to reach out to EA support but they were about as much use as a jumper in a heatwave. The game simply closes the EA App and then reloads it, nothing else happens. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Are there any fixes? P.S. Don't tell me to reinstall it, I've done that already several times.How to get live chat support?
Hello all, My profile was banned after 2 days of owning Mass Effect Andromeda. I appealed and was then told the ban would remain, I was then allowed to re-appeal and it now shows the status of waiting on studio. It ruined the time I booked off work to play the game, it ruined the new Xbox profile I started when I got the Series X two months ago. Because they don't/won't explain exactly why they ban you, I've been looking around the net and on this forum and different things seem to crop up. 1: Possible that a player you played alongside in online mode has reported you falsely. 2: The AI bots EA use are banning new accounts. 3: EA put the wrong version on Andromeda on the Series X. Rather than it being the standard edition, they give you access to the deluxe edition and this is causing problems. 4: The merge of EA Play and some old EA app is causing the issue. I could continue playing the single player, but it still means my account would be banned and prevent me from further EA games access, which was the whole reason I bought the Series X in the first place, so that I could play all those incredible backwards compatible games from BioWare, EA and the Dead Space franchise. I spoke with N7Shepard on here who took the time to look into it for me (thank you once again), but the community managers on here can only do so much when it comes to account access. I cannot for the life of me find a way to chat/live chat with an actual human operator though to see if I can clear this up and get back to enjoying the Mass Effect Andromeda game. Another issue this has caused is due to the fact I cannot unlock strike team achievements. I truly enjoy having all my favourite games at 100% completion, but this has ruined the entire experience for me at the moment. Wasted days holiday, normal days off work etc. And for extra icing they issued this on my birthday. Cheers EA :D........... :( That was long winded. You can tell I'm older haha. So aside from opening a case, how do you actually use live chat to talk with someone as I cannot find the option? Is live chat only available for the US market?There is no save folder
Game folder is inside ea games as opposed to older discussions about this issue and in the game folder there is no save folder to import my saves to me2. I want to import my me1 save to me2 and then from there to legendary edition as acording to my research you can't bring your me1 save file directly into me2 legendary.
