FOR GOD'S SAKE ... INCREASE THE MOD INVENTORY CAP! NOW!
CG has introduced 7 new toons (requiring us to store 42 mods to prepare). We already can't use Loadouts cuz we don't have enuf space and then this negation of almost 10% of our inventory space. Does CG want us to quit?Methuselah6664 minutes agoSeasoned Hotshot19Views0likes4CommentsMod Cap Hot Take
I write this as a separate post because I don't mean it to be a takedown of any one particular person who is asking for a higher mod cap. I don't know you or your situation, and I'm not talking about you as an individual. Instead, I want to make it all about me. Back in the day I didn't worry about mods. I mostly cared about speed bc it was obviously great to get all or most of my own toons to take a turn before the first turn on the other side. You got your synergy going. If you had a TM train you could get that going. With enough speed you could be hard to stop. When I hit the mod cap the first time, I just sold mods that were slower than other mods. It was really pretty ignorant, but I viewed modding more as paperwork. I have enough paperwork in my life. I wanted to play a game, not do more inside the GOH universe. And while I still view modding as paperwork, my initial view was that because it's paperwork, I shouldn't have to learn anything about it. And it's that second part that was wrong. Then I became active with 50 Shards of KAM (and some of you may know me from there). It was the first event where I could see how really rigorously modding your toons made a remarkable, observable difference to one's success. It wasn't just about going first, because you were never going to go first. It wasn't just about health, because the Reek gained stats whenever it got hurt, but it didn't gain MORE stats if the hit was bigger, so fewer big hits was way better than many small hits. That meant balancing offence and crit chance and crit damage. Every mod, then, had to be balanced between speed and survivability and offence, all three at once. But protection was mostly irrelevant and Tenacity entirely so. A mod with Tenacity was using up a secondary slot that could provide a more useful boost. So many things to consider! For KAM it became an issue of recognizing that you could go through entire inventories for some players and only find half of a good mod set. People had offence sets with defense primaries, and defense sets with crit damage primaries and there was such an illogical jumble that if you really wanted things to work together and really put in the effort of combing through the available mods, you still couldn't find the 30 you really needed for a well-kitted KAM squad. The point here is that it takes a knowledge of what makes a mod truly valuable for people to build up collections that can serve them well when the game gets difficult. I've seen more mod inventories from more players than most of you can ever imagine, and I'm telling you that the mod cap is doing players a tremendous favour. It's creating a limit and insisting that, at this point, you have to stop saving mods mindlessly and create a system for deciding which you want to keep. Different ppl will use different systems, and that's fine. But without a cap, there's no point to have a system at all, and that means that a larger mod cap just delays the day when a player has their epiphany moment, the moment when they understand, "You know, that Defense set triangle with 14 speed, a crit chance primary, and Tenacity and flat protection secondaries isn't really worth saving." I've said elsewhere, and it's true, that an increased mod cap just delays the day when you have to have a system for sorting your mods. But more importantly, it also delays the day when players learn what a good mod is. The 500 mod cap is doing players a favour. Let's keep it.MasterSeedy15 minutes agoSeasoned Ace130Views5likes6CommentsBug on GAC, final blow as timer runs out
Something strange / buggy happened. I hit Jabba on GAC with JMK. I had killed 4 out of 5, battle was on auto. At the last second, after I had seen the message that I lost, killed 4 and clicked submit, my toons delivered the final blow vs krssantan. I got just 4 banners out of the battle, but Jabba is marked as defeated (with 1 attack) There is no way I have just 123 banners after one-shotting 3 teams (if you include the 10 for first attack). Boba Scion of Jango got buffed because of dark disciple. Wookies, a neglected faction, got buffed because of Choda. The CLS rebels are getting buffed because of storm boy luke. Dark bounty hunter droids are being buffed because of the red one. Idk pro-kenobi duel vader, spider maul, or the upcoming ones. But I can guess. For me, there are 2 conquest units now that need to get more lifters: Trench Maz Kanata I don't even know who Maz Kanata is. Trench needs the buff more than Maz does. And there are 2 ways we can buff him 1. Characters Trench is neglected because he steals 2 characters from other teams in his average team. This is the average Trench composition, and I'll bold out the ones that are stolen from other teams. Trench (for seperatist buffs) Tambor (stolen from SEE) (speed) Dooku (stuns+ability blocks) Jango (stolen from Mandolorians) (damage immunity and heavy hits) Nute Gunray (extortion, profit, slows enemies) we need 2 (non-droid) units to replace Jango and Tambor this is where an assaj rework comes in. Lore-wise, assaj is fast, stealthy, aaaaand maybe she hits hard (especially if she's fighting clones). Translating to swgoh, you can rework assaj's abilities, reset weeks of grinding ability mats, omegas and zetas, and completely change her kit to be around stealth (a replacement for damage immunity), speed, and heavy hits. This would change Trench's optimal team to Trench dooku nute gunray assaj (reworked) obi wan rako hardeen 2. Ships I'm not going to go much in detail about this, but he could have a capitol ship with AoEs, DoTs, vulture droids, Protection down, and stealth63Views0likes1CommentThis game sucks now.
Relic delta makes no sense and it just sucks. It changed the rules, now everything else we invested in over the YEARS is crap. New game mode is the most boring part of the game ever. Nobody is interested. No clarity on where it is going. Is anyone in charge? Feels like we lost the rudder. This is just absolutely off the rails now. I am on full stop spending wise. This feels like the ship is sinking. I know it sounds absurd, but at this point a full reversal is really what this game needs. This has been a f*ing debacle.134Views1like5CommentsColiseum progression as F2P, stuck at 2/3 characters lvl 50+
Hello everyone, I’m a full F2P player and I’m struggling with Coliseum progression... Currently I’m stuck with only 2 out of 3 Era characters at level 50+, one is stuck at lvl 49 So my question is: Is there any intended F2P way to fully progress all 3 characters to level 50 once Rank 4 rewards are exhausted? ...or is this effectively a pay wall...? I want to make sure I’m not missing a mechanic or strategy here 😞 Thanksabc_kekZ8 hours agoRising Newcomer285Views0likes15CommentsLightspeed Bundle issues
I was under the impression the permanent Lightspeed bundles were supposed to be available while under 4m GP. I was going to buy the SLKR one, but it's disappeared. I am currently around 3.9m, so I am close, but not exceeding the limit. Am I missing something? I have tried EA Help but they do not seem understand the issue I am having.23Views0likes0CommentsLST of today’s calendar
Is this a joke? I know that today we were supposed to get a r6 7* LST for any character, I was going to use it for IG-88 for the executor quest, and all of a sudden this morning I logged on and it got changed to r3 and 5*! Are you having a laugh seriously ? What’s the point of changing it when we know what it was ? Please fix that seriously (even if I know that probably nothing’s gonna be done)CNeqcKkJRSuUq089 hours agoSeasoned Newcomer257Views0likes5CommentsCG Hates Money
You did a bag up job this Christmas CG. People are looking to spend a bunch of money on lightspeed bundles and are mad that they cant, and you couldn't even be bothered to release a single one. You Nickel and Dime people for the new era characters but can't be bothered to make money on older stuff. No wonder the game is dying and won't last past 2026. Keep up the great work of driving this game into the dirt to die.Apollo43219 hours agoNew Novice55Views1like2CommentsSo, the Bo-Katan event now requires R8? Or R9? Or R whatever? Nobody knows!
Cause CG is not telling us! The only known fact is, that they made this event significantly harder. One week ago, EA_Gunner only confirmed in another post, that this change was intended without giving any further information. https://forums.ea.com/idea/swgoh-bug-reports-en/units-changed-in-journey-guide/12971613 On the other hand, the event requirements in the journey guide still say R7. Sorry, but what's the point about this? If an event is no longer doable at a certain level, then this level is not a requirement any more. Why don't you update this and give us valid information? So PLEASE let players know about your changes or just leave the game unchanged, if you are not willing to do so. Or is this the new gaming experience in general since the update: Come in and find out???jojosmeep11 hours agoSeasoned Rookie1.6KViews6likes38CommentsColiseum Bee Ess
I'll be doing coliseum, thinking I'm doing well...I have all 4 characters up, level 50's, full health, at least half protection only to be AOE 1 shotted by the coliseum foe. It's not fun when this happens and it happens and games are supposed to be fun, not stupid ash get wrecked if you don't pay us hundreds of dollars to win. It's BS.57Views1like1CommentWhat even is this?? I'm just about over this game.
I spent a full week with 2 toons level 45 and one level 44 and not being able to touch 90% to hit the next box and max the next one out before the new unlock. Then a new one comes out and I assumed I would have a chance to get there and provide progress yet after I can't even come close to my old score and they all die sooner so it all feels like a waste of time and effort. All are 4 or 5 star as well and I have a over 13mil gp account I've always stayed ahead without spending now it has become impossible to even attemptdeadarchtype13 hours agoSeasoned Rookie132Views1like5CommentsJust gotta say, I absolutely hate the Colosseum
So far, the best thing about this update has been the compensation gift for how bad it is. I’ve been trying to give it the benefit of the doubt. I’ve been playing now for days and days hoping that maybe something would change. But logging in every day and having my mismatched team get obliterated in one or two attacks…Is less than fun. A game is supposed to be an enjoyable and interesting activity. At the very least. this is complete and utter garbage. Zero options other than spending money. This. Hello, I wanted to follow up publicly regarding an issue that affected several players, including myself, related to missing rewards in the Coliseum game mode. Around November 20 (approximately), I lost around 500–1000 Era Currency due to a known bug. Unfortunately, I don’t remember my exact placement in the match, but the loss happened after playing a Coliseum match without claiming the previous day’s reward beforehand, which, as far as I understand, triggered the issue. At the time, this coincided with the excitement of a new update, and I had spent a small amount of money to help improve my position on the leaderboard. Because of that, it feels especially frustrating that the rewards from that date were simply never granted due to a bug, despite the effort and resources invested. I understand that not every affected player may have spent money, but regardless of that, losing earned rewards due to a system issue is understandably upsetting, and I’m sure other players experienced similar frustration. I did open a ticket through in-game support and was told the issue was being investigated. Since then, the bug itself appears to have been fixed (rewards are no longer lost under the same conditions), which is great. However, there has been no follow-up regarding the reimbursement of the rewards that were already lost, and no further updates have been shared. I’m posting here to ask if there is any information on: Whether previously lost Coliseum Era Currency will be restored And if so, when or how that process will take place Any clarification or update would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to look into this. Ally code: 888-686-481wmgx_wmsb19 hours agoSeasoned Newcomer83Views0likes2CommentsColiseum needs more income for f2p
I am a highly active f2p player and have been very engaged in the new coliseum stuff and have been enjoying very much. However a major problem was further complicated today in that I am out of era currency. I have spent 2000-2400 crystals on currency packs already and now that new ventress is unlocked I am 80k era currency behind fully using my upgrade materials on her and my other era characters. I feel your original math is off on the free era currency provided and an adjustment is needed to ensure f2p players can remain competitive. Thanks. I'm new to the forums, but had to come on here to vent about the complete crap that is Conquest. The artificial difficulty of this mode is beyond ridiculous. Inflating enemy stats are one thing, but then also granting them truly unbelievable bonuses is nonsense. An Old Republic team where a Canderous Ordo is able to stack over 80 DOT's on my team is just plain bs. Or an Ewok team taking 15 consecutive turns before I can even take my first turn. Games are supposed to have some level of fun to them, and Conquest just is not fun. Its an annoying slog to get through every time, and I'm not even taking the challenge path. I have a GP of over 5 million, yet I get trounced in many different battles on Medium difficulty, which recommends a GP of 2 million+. Based on my GP its recommended that I play Hard. While the hell would I even attempt it if Medium has this much stupid crap in it? I have 10-12 full Relic 5 and 7 synergized teams, but am really able to only use 1-2 of them to reliably get through the nodes. The GP recommendations in Conquest are a great example of why GP as a concept in this game is just flawed and inaccurate. GP is just an artificial wall to block players off from things, even though GP does not accurately reflect a player's capabilities. I'm curious if others have had the same terrible experience with Conquest. To me, Conquest is far and away the worst mode in the game, and one of the worst modes I've ever played in any video game ever.KoolK-172 days agoSeasoned Novice597Views3likes32Comments
