I installed SWTOR on Steam and it came up with this message. I've checked that my account Mr_Crawford is unlinked from Steam and it is. Yet when I try to log in, it does not link it. I have checked other accounts and they are not linked either. Recently, whenever I send my characters to the planets Hoth or Belsavis, I find my game crashing. When it does, my computer displays an error message saying, "The game has detected a internal error in your display driver and will exit. We recommend updating your display driver to your to the latest certified Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL) for your device." However, I have check several times and I strongly believe I have the latest update and I have tried the lowest graphic settings in SWTOR to get the game to load, but nothing works. I purchased a Legacy Rename Token, but when I try to use it, the game says: “You must have a Legacy to use this item.” My character should have a Legacy, but it is not recognized. I wouldn't be as annoyed as I am at this if the game didn't literally work fine with the exact same setup yesterday, but here I am, trying to find a way to go back to how things were, which was perfect. All I want is to keep playing the game in my primary monitor and enjoying my time, and I can't. The Problem: The launcher works fine. After I log in and click play game, the game boots up but the screen is black. There is still audio and UI sounds, which means the issue is with the display and not with the game failing to boot. Further testing showed that the game displayed correctly when I hit alt+enter to move it to a second monitor (1920x1080, 60hz), but fails to render on my primary screen (2560x1600, 240hz), whether booted there or moved back from the second monitor. Before someone says those specs are not supported, this exact setup worked fine until yesterday, so the issue is entirely new and not how the game is meant to function. Solutions I've attempted which didn't work: Verifying game files via steam. Deleting SWTOR folders in Local AppData. Booting the game up to create a client_settings.ini and adjusting the resolution to my resolution from within the txt and rebooting. Making sure D3DFullScreen and FullScreen are both "= false" in the client_settings ini. It still booted to a black screen with working audio. Tried moving the game from the working monitor do the non-working monitor after setting it to windowed. It still became black after being moved. Unplugging the second monitor from my computer and booting the game up with only one available display after repeating step 2. Still led to a blackscreen. Tried adding a RefreshRate entry underneath [Renderer] to the client_settings.ini and making sure it matched my primary monitor's refresh rate. It still led to a blackscreen when booted on the preferred monitor. Hi everyone. So I'm having some trouble launching SWTOR. Basically what happens is that when I type in my password the launcher simply closes after I press enter. I just installed windows 11 too and the game worked fine before. I saw that quite a few people were having this issue. I installed direct x, c++ and even tried making changes in the client_settings since it seems to have worked for some people. But so far none of it has worked in my case. Hi guys, I raised a ticket earlier after being concerned about my account security. I still cannot log into my account to check it, so would appreciate it if someone could please check my account in the backend to ensure the account is secure. When I try to log in, I either receive a connection issue error (attached to my previous post linked above) or it continues onto the character loading screen and just hangs there. Everything was working fine before I visited a twitch account that could be fraudulent, which is why I am concerned about phishing and my account security. I did manage to log into my account on the SWTOR website and changed my password, but I am still concerned that I still cannot log onto any of my characters within the game. I used to play Swtor when the game started, at that time It was on origin and I had the collector edition with the physical security key. Now after a time I stopped playing the game and moved on with other games. Yet I've found myself of late wanting to play again. The issue is simple, Origin doesn't exist anymore, so I in the EA app I don't have the game, because it is actually not EA that provide it but Steam, and my key is long gone now. Sadly nothing work including reseting the password or anything else. I just seems to be in a hell hole and can't seems to be able to contact an efficient customer service.
