Edit extended Family Trees
I'd love it if in manage worlds you can edit family trees, so you can update families that are added per pack/gallery/etc. Many people love the family trees of the main Sim families, like the Goth, Crumplebottom, Bachelor and Caliente families which are connected together throughout the series. So many marriages, cousins, etc. And allow TBA/placeholders for unknowns and not yet added to the game Sims. Also allow for NPCs we cannot control so they are not left out. This would help with non-canon romancing with extended family from happening. edit: Last year made templates for the Sims wiki for family trees. And set up the cross-over legacies for the Goth/Crumplebottom/Bachelor/Caliente Family Tree. Social Media is - maybe not dead/dying - but it's significantly depreciated. It's more often disheartening than fun. Reading through a long thread of people complaining and arguing doesn't really make for a sense of community. This makes me feel that there needs to be more of an effort on the part of EA to create that sense of a Simmer community. Nothing big, just lots of little meetups anywhere in the world that EA has a local presence. I have no real knowledge about this sort of thing, so.... For your consideration: Here's the Chatbot proposal: Proposal for Local EA Simmer Community Meetups Introduction: With the decline of vibrant and positive online communities, many fans of The Sims and EA titles feel disconnected and frustrated by the current social media landscape. To foster a stronger, more genuine community, I propose that EA organizes small-scale, local meetups for Simmer fans worldwide. Objective: Create opportunities for fans to connect in person, share their love for The Sims, exchange ideas, and build lasting relationships—reviving the sense of community that often gets lost online. Key Points: Small, Regular Gatherings: Host informal meetups in various cities, encouraging local fans to participate. Partnerships: Collaborate with local gaming cafes, community centers, or EA offices where possible. Community Engagement: Use social media and EA’s channels to promote these events, share stories, and showcase community highlights. Meet and Greet with Developers: Arrange special sessions where fans can meet developers, ask questions, and gain insights into upcoming features and behind-the-scenes processes. Wigs, Hats, Regular Hair on Werewolves
I believe the update probably removed access to do so, even with CAS, cheats But I think it would be really cool if giving your werewolves hair or the same hair they have as a person would be really cool. I really hope in the next patch or so, this becomes an option or the ability to do this would be available without it reverting. it would just be really fun to have more options than just a bald werewolf, or not having to put hair as an accessory in order for it to work. In addition to being able to turn Ailments On/Off. I think there should be these additional toggles: Ailments Visual Effects On/Off Ailments "Throwing Up" On/Off Ailments Destructive Effects On/Off If the visual effects were removed people would still be able to story tell without ailments plaguing their screenshots. The constant throwing up is my biggest pet peeve about ailments, I can handle everything else even the current ailment frequency—as long as they stop throwing up constantly interrupting the actions queue! Destructive effect, honestly, without playing a Practical Magic Spellcaster with Repairo are insane. No wonder people are going out of their minds with ailments. Luck and Balance are not really the issue, and are (or can be) kinda cool. It is once you have an ailment (and everything it entails) and how much you get ailments (which looks like it is being fixed/improved), that are a problem, and are putting off people buying the pack (or regretting buying the pack).HollownessDevour2 days agoSeasoned Ace6Views0likes0CommentsButler beds NEEDS a slight tweak please
When a butler is hired we have to assign a bed to them. The problem is that when the butlers switch out, you have to assign the bed again to the replacement butler. The assign bed to butler shouldn't be to an individual, but to the profession. That way whatever butler that is on site and working can automatically use the bed. Half the time I don't even notice that they switched out until they're getting thought bubbles about a bed or I find them in my sim's beds. Or, worst case, this happens because I didn't notice at all. The parents were at work and the butler was throwing a fit because she was too tired and both kids were screaming because they were hungry and had nasty diapers. And then she passed out in the floor briefly and then did what she could. But it was too late and the parents got home and the dad came in and was ticked off because his nephew was covered in poop. I would love to see a Native American with all the tribes like Spokane, Cherokee, Sioux from US including Alaska, Canada and even Mexico like the Aztecs and the Mayans. The one thing that I love about the Native American tribes that they don't waste what they hunt. They use everything. What would be in this pack: Teepees, Wigwams, Long Houses (Coastal like Salish, Haida, Tlingit) etc.. Clothing from Deer, Bear etc, hair style braids,, beaded jewelry or regular clothes etc. Animals: horses, dogs as well as bears. wolves and buffalo aka bison etc. Food: Buffalo, Deer meat (venison), Fish, Fry bread (yummy), fruits and veggies etc.. Fun stuff to do or visit: Pow wow, Tribal gathering, Drum circle, Dancing (Jingle,. Fancy Shawls etc.) for the women, Tiny Tots dance for the kids etc... Is it just me or does anyone else think that resizable doors, walls, windows and sofas in the Sims 4 should be implemented, right? I don't know about you guys, but that would definitely benefit me a lot in build mode. For example archways in the build mode. It would be better to have a resizable length so you can have the freedom on how long you want the archway to reach. Also, the walls where you can adjust its width would be so much better than just creating one tiled room to fill the gaps. The freedom to resize the windows and doors' length. In the For Rent DLC, if I put a For Rent sign outside after setting everything up, will it automatically attract potential tenants? Or do I have to manually put people in via the menu? I would like to have a more realistic approach where potential tenants come to ask for a unit. With the last update, we got a new notebook with the option to write text in it. I looked forward to this new option, because in my save files my Sims sometimes have a backstory and this would have been a great option to write this in there. But only 250 signs is not enough. I play on PS5 - All Packs, games, kits & content - latest update is installed. My sim checks her plants but even when houseplants need maintenance I get the pop up no plants need tending. I would love if we could get this so the tending automatically works for indoor plants too not just outdoor ones. At the current state of the game, sims inventories are a mess and barely usable. They are full of stuff that keeps piling up in there, and a lot of it can't be removed because it's needed for gameplay reasons. (Knitting baskets, bicycles, soccer balls, cameras etc can all only be used from the inventory.) The existing filters are a hassle to use and don't work for many items. Sorting by newness makes sense for quickly finding recently added items, but not for anything else. Freshness only makes sense to sort by for foods. Favouriting things doesn't help much, either. Suggestions: Make the search/sorting function more useful by letting us search/filter/sort by category of items. By "what sort of thing even is this". Examples for possible categories: Consumables (foods, drinks, potions) Harvestables (fruit/plants, fish, wool, etc) Books Arts and crafts (finished crafts, craftable items, things like easels, instruments, the archeology table, knitting basket, cameras etc) Activity items (toys, earbuds, bikes, soccer balls, skiis, snowboards, climbing gear, jungle excursion stuff, etc) Upgrade parts Collectibles (gemstones, time capsules, display figurines, sea shells, what have you, there are so many collectibles in the game by now) Other for the possible few items that fit in neither category For maximum visual improvements, separate the categories by something like a line break or a small horizontal divider. And let us search and sort by category. Show me all books! Show me all types of wool I have! Where are all my toys! Whatever happened to my climbing gear? Well, I don't know, because I can currently only sort by things like freshness and rarity, and freshness or rarity are not a sensible sorting type for climbing gear and ear buds. I would maybe have an easier time locating my tripod if it was a rare tripod, but such a thing doesn't exist, so you have to just dig it out from between wool, spoiled fish you forgot about, anti-insect potions and random upgrade parts. What do you guys want from an inventory? Problem occurs when inviting other non-played characters to go fishing. Once everyone is fishing and the played character stop fishing and wants to chat with one of the other non-playable characters, they do not stop fishing no matter what. Even when the "call over" option is selected. Hello! I'm writing here because as unlikely as it is for this to be seen, I would like spinal fusion scars added to the game (preferably for a free update). I was born with scoliosis down my entire back, and I was told if I didn't get my spinal fusion done by the age of 13 then I'd be in a wheelchair by 20. I would love to see a scar added for the upper half of the back, lower half, and a full back scar. I feel like scoliosis doesn't get taken as seriously as it should, many doctors don't listen, and I think some representation (even small) would be amazing. And while I have the means to download CC, I would love console players to have the representation too. Thank you for considering, and I hope to see something like this in the future. I don't know about my fellow simmers, but a lot of times when I am building a house and creating a family in The Sims, I am often coming up with back story as I am creating and then when I get to play, my badass rock goddess sim has no musical skills, lol. I know there are cheats to get you there, but it would be really cool to have an icon you can click on in CAS to open up a skills window, and you can set what levels your sim is in different skills. You could have it wide open - any skill, any level, or you can take a page from the D&D book and give you a certain amount of points to spend on skills, so that simmers are more likely to use it to create backstory, and not just make Sim God, lol, but also hey why not? You can expand on this further so it's Sims can start with a specific career, at any level, or make it so elder sims can be a retired salaryperson or something. Over the last little while, I've been one of the people on the forefront of not comparing one game for another; apples and oranges. This, though, and the constant non-stop crashing for well near SIX HOURS STRAIGHT is one way of chasing people away to that (still unfinished) other game. Just saying! Why am I posting here? Because after WEEKS of this and SIX HOURS STRAIGHT (because I try to be optimistic and troubleshoot in a game I've been playing since 2014) I'm fed up. I just want a fix for me and other people going through the same damned thing but think that their voices would never be heard.
