🍂 Seasons EP refresh
Hi, EP05 Seasons has several weaknesses compared to the previous games : Lack of features (Snowy Escape, Island Living and other packs have stole several parts.) No new world (probably due to the Winter update for the existing worlds) Calendar became a basegame feature New packs are designed for sunny weather (Festivals not designed for rain and snow, treehouse not designed for seasons, no snow for Ravenwood, Home Chef Hustle not designed for rain) Snowy Escape has its own weather No new occult (Previously TS2 had Plantsims and TS3 had Aliens) No Hail weather "Indoor rain/snow" bug Umbrella bugs So it would be nice if Maxis could refresh this "expansion" pack and add a few things : Swimming pool activities (Slide, ...) Raincoat outfit category as an alternative to umbrellas Igloo (Woohoo spot) Ice lounge Mischievous lightning power (start a fire or summon thunderstorm or fully recharge servos) Shorter daylight in Winter / Longer daylight in Summer like TS3 Smart thermostat upgrade192Views8likes7CommentsEdit extended Family Trees
I'd love it if in manage worlds you can edit family trees, so you can update families that are added per pack/gallery/etc. Many people love the family trees of the main Sim families, like the Goth, Crumplebottom, Bachelor and Caliente families which are connected together throughout the series. So many marriages, cousins, etc. And allow TBA/placeholders for unknowns and not yet added to the game Sims. Also allow for NPCs we cannot control so they are not left out. This would help with non-canon romancing with extended family from happening. edit: Last year made templates for the Sims wiki for family trees. And set up the cross-over legacies for the Goth/Crumplebottom/Bachelor/Caliente Family Tree. For example on why we need a more complex family tree system.HollownessDevour14 hours agoSeasoned Ace53Views2likes0CommentsFamily tree
I really enjoy using the family tree, especially for big families, however, I would absolutely love it if it could be improved so that it is also possible to view in-laws without having to click on a specific person. For example, if I am viewing a grandparents family, I wish we could see from their view their children and who their children have married and that person's siblings and parents. Also, if this is possible I would like to see the same thing in the family section of the relationships tab. This would be extremely useful for big family get togethers39Views1like2CommentsWhat collaborations with franchise you want to see in four?
Since,Sims 4 here to stay .I think about what collaboration the team can do. 1.Disney I think this could be fun one.Maybe a couple packs one base on Mickey and his friends. The other on Disney Princess.I think we can have outfits, hair, and skin based on characters. We can live and visit there worlds.Maybe our child sims can hug classic characters and get autographs. Barbie ,okay this one is indulgence .But imagine a whole barbie expansion pack. That has a lot of her classic, out fits furniture. Are child sims could play with barbie dolls. We can have a world based on Barbie. With several new venues.Horrorgirl619 hours agoSeasoned Ace54Views1like6CommentsProposal for Local EA Simmer Community Meetups
Social Media is - maybe not dead/dying - but it's significantly depreciated. It's more often disheartening than fun. Reading through a long thread of people complaining and arguing doesn't really make for a sense of community. This makes me feel that there needs to be more of an effort on the part of EA to create that sense of a Simmer community. Nothing big, just lots of little meetups anywhere in the world that EA has a local presence. I have no real knowledge about this sort of thing, so.... For your consideration: Here's the Chatbot proposal: Proposal for Local EA Simmer Community Meetups Introduction: With the decline of vibrant and positive online communities, many fans of The Sims and EA titles feel disconnected and frustrated by the current social media landscape. To foster a stronger, more genuine community, I propose that EA organizes small-scale, local meetups for Simmer fans worldwide. Objective: Create opportunities for fans to connect in person, share their love for The Sims, exchange ideas, and build lasting relationships—reviving the sense of community that often gets lost online. Key Points: Small, Regular Gatherings: Host informal meetups in various cities, encouraging local fans to participate. Partnerships: Collaborate with local gaming cafes, community centers, or EA offices where possible. Community Engagement: Use social media and EA’s channels to promote these events, share stories, and showcase community highlights. Meet and Greet with Developers: Arrange special sessions where fans can meet developers, ask questions, and gain insights into upcoming features and behind-the-scenes processes. Inclusive and Accessible: Ensure events are welcoming for all age groups and backgrounds. Optional Activities: Panel discussions, gameplay marathons, fan art showcases, and developer Q&A sessions. Benefits: Strengthens community bonds beyond digital interactions. Promotes positive conversations and shared enthusiasm. Provides direct feedback channels for EA to better understand their fans. Fosters excitement and transparency through developer interactions. Enhances EA’s image as a community-focused organization. Conclusion: By investing in small, local meetups with opportunities to meet and engage with developers, EA can reinvigorate its community, making fans feel valued, heard, and part of something bigger. These connections can help transform disheartening online experiences into meaningful, enjoyable interactions.DizzyDee-K21 hours agoSeasoned Ace37Views1like0CommentsHomesteading Idea
I wanted to share an idea for an expansion pack that I’ve been trying to emulate with the current packs, but I’ve had unsatisfactory success with. There is a pack for country living, a 1920’s inspired pack, and a vampire pack, however, I’m looking to build a homesteading town inspired by Little House on the Prairie. It’s possible to get somewhat close, but most of what’s available is still too modern. In earlier games, we could travel by car (which I wish they’d bring back - I loved trying to build space for cars and driveways), and it would be really neat to have horses and buggies for this pack. In create a sim, we could choose a “homestead” filter, which would preselect clothing, makeup, hairdos, shoes, and accessories from the time period, in addition to selecting a “game mode” when we exit create a sim to play the game. This game mode would change the starting cash to an amount that is more realistic for the time period, in addition to filtering out all items that wouldn’t exist in this time period as well (overridable using cheats and deselecting “homestead” in the items filter in build mode) which would be priced realistically as well. For example, instead of starting with $20,000, we might start with $5,000, a plot of 20x30 land might cost $100, a horse and buddy might cost $100, a hearth and stone cooking fireplace might be $25, etc… During that time, settlers would have had to plow their land to make it suitable for building, which might be a neat aspect instead of just bulldozing the terrain. Farming would have been incredibly important, so good soil, plenty of sun, and access to water would be necessary. Trading, bartering, and selling homegoods was vital, and could be incorporated using existing mechanics, as could farming. Apothecary would have been dire as well. Community was quite possibly one of the most important aspects of the period, so making it possible to create an entire town of people in create a sim, and possible to use a large single plot to create a town (or making it easier to create sims to place into this town, in addition to creating a town with closer plots and using one plots for multiple businesses or houses as would have been common in this time period) would be an interesting aspect to include for this pack. Just an idea - I’ll keep fiddling around with what’s there, but I hope to see something like this in the future! thanks!sulSuldagDag212 days agoSeasoned Newcomer17Views1like1CommentWrong thumbnail for top notch infant
Product: The Sims 4 Platform: PC Which language are you playing the game in? German How often does the bug occur? Always What is your current game version number? 1.103.315.1020 What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? all of them Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? just obtain the happy/top notch infant/toddler traits somehow and take a look at their thumbnails. What happens when the bug occurs? the top notch infant/toddler trait thumnails are exactly the same, while the happy infant/toddler trait thumbnails are different from each other. What do you expect to see? consistency. Or actually, the intended thumbnail, as explained below Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? doesn't matter Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? no Well, so when infants were implemented, we got the happy infant and top notch infant traits, similar to the traits that were existing for toddlers before those became unobtainable. It's odd that the top notch infant trait is just re-using the top notch toddler trait thumbnail, while the happy variant got an entirely new thumbnail. See attached screenshots for more (I'm sorry they aren't in english). Now recently I was browsing gamefiles using TS4 studio and I've found what I think is the intended top notch infant trait thumbnail which the developers just forgot to actually use (see attachments, again). It's DST Image DCE51430C56CE1D4. It's easy to miss, since the toddler traits cannot be obtained anymore (without cheats) ever since infants exist in the game, so under normal circumstances you can't have a sim that has obtained both of the top notch traits, so you wouldn't notice their thumbnails are the same. Still though, I keep cheating myself the toddler trait because you apparently can't fix it, but maybe you can at least change one line somewhere so the intended thumbnail is being used?LunaticVariant2 days agoSeasoned Scout879Views1like2Comments- SuperSillySim2 days agoRising Hotshot14Views2likes0Comments
Right now, the game creates new townies when my Sims use the computer to work.
I'm unsure if it's a bug or a feature. And my current game doesn't have "Get Famous" EP, so it may be different from other players, but what my issue is... Every time that my sim uses the computer to do work-related interaction (ex., write a scientific paper, polish a comedy routine), the game always generates a new family (1-4 sims) that has one "style influencer (Lv 1)". Firstly, I thought it only happened with a gardener/botanist career when using a computer to do a job, but my comedian sim is too. And it never stops, even though the game already has a new style influencer. The game still creates it "non-stop" ---- I can notice this because I use mods to stop townie generate and I can see from MCCC's log and found something like this [Jul-26-2025 13:48:22]* Created homeless household, Teague, containing 1 sim(s) for: filter_computerChat_Style_Influencer_Freelancer_Fashion_Photographer [Jul-26-2025 14:11:30]* Created homeless household, Amos, containing 1 sim(s) for: filter_computerChat_Style_Influencer_Freelancer_Fashion_Photographer Sometimes the family contains a full family with children, but mostly it is a single sim. ---- I also tested without the mod and still got a new family on "other household" after I did the action with the computer. I suspect that there are some problems with NPC generation in the recent patch because Cottage Living NPCs are also messy right now. And I got some LE when it's San Myshuno's festival too. (But last thing may be only mod-related.) ---- If your game has many new families in "other household" lately, you might have the same issue as me.coloncocon2 days agoSeasoned Ace40Views2likes2CommentsThings I’d love to see added in the Sims as a console player
Prams/Strollers. It would be fun if we could take our infants for a walk in a pram instead of a back carrier More hair colour customisation Heterochromia for eyes Spiral staircases Auto roofing would be so much easier for those is us who aren’t good at building roofs More realistic pregnancy things. Like ultrasounds and finding out gender ect Pre teen pack. Birth control, periods, basic pre teen stage things More jobs. Hairdresser, daycare teacher, dentist, real estate agent to name a few Werewolves but the option to add a tail. I think that could be fun Half grid walls! Being able to build on a half grid instead of a full grid. More resizing options. For example for rugs, we could be able to click and drag to the size we want Child mermaids. It would be so cool and adorable to be able to see a little mermaid tail on children. More occult things with children. Being able to teach child sims occult things and skills, lore ect so they can learn things earlynatalie_barryy2 days agoRising Vanguard47Views3likes2CommentsWigs, Hats, Regular Hair on Werewolves
I believe the update probably removed access to do so, even with CAS, cheats But I think it would be really cool if giving your werewolves hair or the same hair they have as a person would be really cool. I really hope in the next patch or so, this becomes an option or the ability to do this would be available without it reverting. it would just be really fun to have more options than just a bald werewolf, or not having to put hair as an accessory in order for it to work. I cant find a mod for this anywhere.13Views1like0Comments[EbN] Ailments Extended Options
In addition to being able to turn Ailments On/Off. I think there should be these additional toggles: Ailments Visual Effects On/Off Ailments "Throwing Up" On/Off Ailments Destructive Effects On/Off If the visual effects were removed people would still be able to story tell without ailments plaguing their screenshots. The constant throwing up is my biggest pet peeve about ailments, I can handle everything else even the current ailment frequency—as long as they stop throwing up constantly interrupting the actions queue! Destructive effect, honestly, without playing a Practical Magic Spellcaster with Repairo are insane. No wonder people are going out of their minds with ailments. Luck and Balance are not really the issue, and are (or can be) kinda cool. It is once you have an ailment (and everything it entails) and how much you get ailments (which looks like it is being fixed/improved), that are a problem, and are putting off people buying the pack (or regretting buying the pack).HollownessDevour2 days agoSeasoned Ace7Views0likes0CommentsSims 4 Ocean Exploration expansion pack [Aquariums, scuba diving and houseboats]
Underwater Diving areas There are underwater diving areas that Sims can explore and that are interactive and actually visible to the player. Players can find treasure chests, explore underwater caves or sunken shipwrecks, harvest seaweed and catch fish swimming around. The fish that have been caught can be brought to the surface and exhibited in an aquarium. There is a scuba diving skill. The higher the skill level, the longer a Sim can stay underwater and the less depressurizing time a Sim has. Aquarium There is an aquarium in town that you can stock with fish and other marine life like colorful sea slugs. These can be caught while scuba diving. There are giant aquarium tanks that you can stock with fish. There is an aquarium tunnel object that Sims can walk through, and it can be stocked with fish as well. Aquariums are a new type of community venue. There are saltwater tanks (with corals and rocks) and freshwater tanks (with kelp and wood branches) Houseboat Houseboats are a new type of home that Sims can live in. Houseboats are editable in Build Mode like a regular lot, except you can't add a basement. Whale watching There are whales jumping out of the ocean that you can go watch with your houseboat. You can offer paid whale watching tours or diving tours with your houseboat by clicking on the tourist information center. Driftwood furniture Collect driftwood at the beach and craft new driftwood furniture using the woodworking table from base game and Handiness skill. Expanded mermaids Mermaids should get their own skill tree like all other occults and more scary looking like Sirens. Sirens could also be a new type of occult. To expand Mermaids they should get… Aquatic ears New mermaid tails Seaweed hair Fish scale skin tone that makes the whole body have fish scales Barnacles on body Scaly arms and legs while on land Fin on head (instead of hair) Sims can become a Siren by getting bitten by a Siren. (Like vampires) Mermaids/ Sirens can drink blood like vampires, but don‘t need to More fish-like appearance Fish-like eyes Freezing abilities Stronger manipulation powers The Siren/ Mermaid skill tree Australian world The town is inspired by Australian beach towns like Airlie Beach in Australia. It consists of two marinas where houseboats are located. New collections Sea slugs: Verco's nudibranch Black-margined sea slug Leaf sea slug Clown nudibranch Orange side-gilled slug Chromodoris nudibranch New fishes Harvest edible seaweed Seaweed grows underwater and you can harvest it and eat it. Shipwreck Exploration There are underwater shipwrecks that you can explore, unlock doors by finding keys in storage chests, by being gifted keys from a local Sim etc. Metal debris blocks paths. Sims must use a sledgehammer to break through metal debris. Requires Fitness skill. Sharks live inside these shipwrecks and your Sim needs to hide from them.1.7KViews36likes50CommentsMy opinion

I am having an issue with the Element Display Rack with one of the elements named "Xenopetrium" not wanting to go into the the display rack. I have no issues with any of the other elements in the pack but the xenopetrium element. I am using the standard edition on PC. I have not had an issue with this until the drag and drop issue. After the patch fix to address the drag and drop the only thing I can't drop into its slot is the "xenopetrium" element.
