Dear, creators of the Sims 4, I, RileyPortagas, had an idea! Look, I may not be a game-making person because I'm more of a gamer, but I have been a huge fan of Sims 4 ever since, but what if you can make a stuff pack that's based off the emo and scene cultures? PS: It's not scenecore or emo core, it's just real emo and real scene, from the 2000s and 2010s. There's a difference. Look it up on Google. So, yes, there would be emo/scene fashion, emo/scene, emo/scene decorations for build mode, and also a fun parody of MySpace as a throwback to the 2000s. I hope you understand what I'm saying. I just got an idea of an Olympics world including multiple sports like Gymnastics, swimming, hockey, track and field, etc. i would also like to be able to create a Sports/Olympics team. I would like to include jobs like coaching sport announcer, sport news, referee, sports engineer. And o idea for the occult pack is it possible for us to get a hybrid update, I have multiple households where it's a vampire and werewolf couple but what would make them perfect is if they could create hybrid children.
Fire Prevention System Utility Panel is crap.
As the title says, that particular system is crap. By the time the sprinklers drop from the ceiling and activate at least 2 things in the room (usually the kitchen cause Sims apparently can't cook without starting a fire) catch fire. Naturally the item catching fire is the stove and the fire spreads; to the floor, counters, other appliances, possibly to other rooms, and the SIMS THEMSELVES! When I build homes I try to have a fire alarm as close to the stove as possible. If I could attach it to the stoves you better believe I would. In the attached picture (that I hope shows up) it's possible to see how close the system panel is to the fire alarm. I thought if it was as close as possible to the source of the fire, the system would trigger faster, and thus maybe only need to replace one item. However, I forgot one very important rule: this is the Sims and NOTHING can go according to plan! Things like this really put a God complex in check. I have a suggestion or two to go with the feedback. The first suggestion is to let us upgrade the panel, most items have upgrade options but this doesn't. It's upgrade option could be activate faster - dropping down more than one sprinkler to put the fire out sooner; the ability to move the panel up higher on the wall (in real life smoke moves up and if the panel is higher maybe it can be activated sooner if just doing that is easier than coding it for an upgrade option); and give insurance payouts that make sense - in the picture that stove and fridge new in build mode cost S 1100 together but the payout was S 440 a good way to do it would be to make the payout half of the total of all damaged items together, in this case the payout would have been S 550 instead.
Medium and tall wall height variants for base game ceiling lights
A lot of the more recent expansion packs and kits have come out with ceiling lights that have variations for all three wall heights. This is great, and is how it should be. However, it does make one notice how the base game ceiling light selection is very much lacking in this same variation. This issue has been exasperated since the addition of the Simly Park Tileable Pendant Light and its two taller variants during the the 25th anniversary, which now stands as the only base game ceiling light with these variants. Because double story openings to a central hallway or an entrance area is a common feature in many houses and commercial buildings, the short ceiling light options that we have in the base game leaves me desiring for taller ones. Medium and tall variants for the following three would be an absolute must have: Pleasantly Pendant Chandelier Long John Buttercups Chandelier Ring o’ Light There are also some more contemporary lights that could look alright as taller variants, alongside two traditional designs that while I personally could deal without, I'm sure some would be joyed to have them. Fiat Luxe Pendant Lantern Casa Morgan Mission-Style Lantern Chandelier And I can imagine having taller variants for these last five could ease the pain of at least one builder of this game. Just to be clear what I am going for is a bit of old school luxury in my hotel choices. Something that centers around the aesthetics and service. Completely Disable Phone Feature & Alternate Computer Option
I can't stand mobile phones and computers in Sims since Sims 3, and it is worse in Sims 4: Phone Idles Phone Pop-ups (Calls & Texts) Interactions locked to phone or computer only (including skills, aspirations and career goals) For the love of gawd, please add a disable Phone toggle in options. And anything and everything that is only able to be done via Computer/Phone have an alternate way (such as mailbox and bring back the newspaper). Writing should have a typewriter and/or scroll/book/paper alternative. Aspirations and career goals for progression should have an alternate method/version for "use the computer to...". I wouldn't mind more land line phones, especially era versions early phones, and rotary phones. I am just so sick of how much the game tries to revolve around the mobile phone. I know many people do IRL, but some of us are a bit more old school too. Thank you for your consideration. edit: I think we need this now more than ever between EbN and R&L and those storytelling era/fantasy based games would not ever use phones/computers, and we need an alternate so bad! I saw that replying to royal mail increased Writing Skill so that was nice! But we need an full opt out of phone/computer option ASAP :D edit, May 11, 2026: If computers/mobiles are toggled off, a replacement item/object that can be placed on a desk (or counter) such as tomes/scrolls/crystal orbs to "research" (online) replace (any daily task for careers would be instead available this way). Mobile options (when you do need things like ordering/travel plans/etc.) could be replaced to either a magic orb option, vintage landline or homing pigeon. And Writing can be scroll/book or vintage typewriter. Themes used is basically Crystal Creations/Paranormal/L&D/EbN/RoM/R&L and a little Victorian Steampunk because it is my favourite XP[Idea] Occult Updates and Packs
RoM, V, W , IP, L&D, EbN and GtW all have occults with limited occult specific CAS and Build/Buy. I'd love a stuff pack to flesh out and fill in the blanks for occults. Some of the occult CAS and Build/Buy are merely themed such as Victorian for Vampires and nature inspired for EbN for example. However, the occults themselves could have a larger range of occult specific themes. Edit: Would also highly benefit from Completely Disable Phone Feature & Alternate Computer Option | EA Forums - 12647073. Add missing occult ability trees for Mermaids and Aliens. PlantSims be a permanent occult with an ability tree. More traits that would help occult synergy (Mystical, Disruptive and Macabre are the closest occult friendly traits, if you want to discount the basic Good/Evil traits) Lot traits that encourage each or every type of occult to visit and a trait disallow all occults! Feathered and bat wings for Fairies or even Vampires (but be great if it could be any occult). Missing single bed, fridge, stove, etc. for EbN nature theme. RoM's The Iron Counter needs a cabinet counterpart (drives me nuts I don't have matching cabinets for my favourite counter). Small appliances for various occults/themes. Non-plant/flower nature themed CAS and Build/Buy. Air, fire and water/ice fairy themed attire and Build/Buy would be nice to have different elements Fairies. But these could also transcend to other occults such as Mermaids and Spellcasters. Something to do with Spellcaster all occult extra talent points! Edit, Mar 3rd, 2026: Practical Spellcaster's with Scruberoo use in when Hygiene is low (and/or use instead of "clean up/throw away"), Delicioso when Hunger is low, Floralorial for bugs/weeding, etc. autonomously. Mischief Spellcaster use Mischievous spells ons on disliked/despised Sims autonomously. I am not sure how easily Untamed spellcasters can use their spells autonomously. But at least Chillio for Fires! and Zipzap on disliked/despised Sims autonomously. More occult recipes and foods. I mean there is Soul Soup but it is from Level 5 Thanatology and Level 5 Cooking. As well as Curious Pizza and Alien Fruit Tarts for alien/U.F.O fruit recipes. But really more fantasy cuisine would be helpful for occult themed players. The ability to safely have Hybrid Occults without breaking the game, having multiple ability trees (at least 2). It be really nice if RoM had Glimmerbrook expanded to a 3 neighbourhood world. Maybe even for Vampires and Werewolves too. Alchemy, Herbalism and Apothecary recipes should be abled to be used in both the Cauldron and Apothecary Table. And ALL ingredients should be abled to be stored-linked to storage properly (having insects, frogs, metals, crystals (at least link the CCSP Gemology Table to pull from as recipes pull from the fridge), etc. not linked/stored together is very annoying to pull out of other storages). Familiars could be expanded, that they can change their moodlet buff, have interactions, etc. Add small pets fantasy creatures such as baby dragons. The ability to make any occult Immortal and stop aging. As a special trait. The ability to add the Grim Reaper or Father Winter to family tree (as parent) without breaking the game. More fantasy/alien plants. I love these and really cannot get enough of them. Tabletop Mini Cowplant, and Other Plant Ideas | EA Forums - 12786745 Edit, Apr 21st, 2026: Second form for Spellcasters. As they are suspected to be "disguised", and more Spellcaster type CAS/BB items. Vampire sire family trees (and the ability to edit them). Fairy option/quest/trait to be able to eat normal food to help emotional force. Or at least certain foods like honey, fruit, milk, or even flowers! etc. Turn off werewolf animal form (have have a secondary humanoid form instead to manipulate), I am sorry but the animal form weirds me out to no end, and can't play this occult because of it (I am sure there are mods but I'd prefer a official version so to not worry about game break mods when out of date mods are no longer kept up). If you are not going to add/update your packs where there is missing/wanted features CAS/Build/Buy. Differing occults dueling spellcaster vs. vampire for example. It would be nice too if certain occults get an advantage over another. A non-hidden Realm of Magic World. The sky and lighting effects of the Magic Realm would be great to have as a normal world. It could be just like the Magic Realm with floating islands. Bug-report sidelined
Who else has this happened to ? It's happened to me twice (at least as far as i've noticed ) . One bug report received a lot of votes very quickly ! ... but then i found it as a "comment" under a completely different old bug report (with over 1k of other comments , 200 votes ) . Remarkably, nobody did claim responsibility both times ! ... Neither I have been informed WHY both bug reports were sidelined . I also remember reading a comment somewhere, in which someone complains that his bug report was put under another report, which doesn't even match the topic . So i am wondering : Does this happen more often ?? In my case : As i noticed my second bug-report being sidelined to be forgotten (more easily ?). > YES - i got very angry . > and YES : I express myself in a comment . (... never use too many capital letters and red, big exclamation marks ... 😂🫢) > the result was that my post got deleted and i simply was banned (strangly enough, only for a VERY short time - as if it were meant as a symbolically answer from 'EA-Solaire' to my reply & question : „ I want u to respect my bug-reports. Can we please get a pack with a world based on Italy like the Sims 3 Monte Vista? I LOVED that world, and the gondola rides from the venue Last Venue of Amore. This would make the perfect romantic getaway vacationing spot for our Sims. I think we need more romantic places!
Simple Gallery Search Filters & Missing Features
I mean, this new search update is okay, I guess? I just wonder how efficient this will be. 🤔 Why does it seem to be so hard to add the following simple features? I always found it weird that we cannot search simple things, which would make more sense for daily players, I think? Especially because the gallery has a ton of creations, but you always end up finding the most recent or the most popular. What about all the creations in between? So why can't we still, after 12 years of content, not search by year (would be so useful) multiple hashtags (for me, a must as you can only use one hashtag; we cannot combine them) by gender (when looking for a specific sim) by occult (yeah, logic right?) by life stage number of sims in a household (exists already 😮) number of bedrooms and baths (suggested by QueenSaraphine) 👍 search for words in the descriptions. (suggested by thornwill )😉 Missing Major/ Useful Features 😅 being able to edit your uploaded HH / Lot Infos—especially if you forgot to add info or want to fix errors you made. Adding Social Media Links on your Profiles to popular Social Media Platforms like YouTube/Instagram/Tumblr, etc. (In times of Social Media? Come on!) Extend word count for profile description up to 500 characters (at least) I don't mean the hashtags, since a ton are mislabeled. 🙃What I wish is that the Gallery should be able to give me an output based on all the things I mentioned above as a filter. I wish I could search by more meaningful filters like these. The numbers are all there—it just needs the filters and rules in coding (plus UI adjustments, of course) for those to show up and we could finally get the results we are looking for. Note - I'm a firm believer in cross-pack integration and functionality. If a new pack can have some features that unlock things for a previous pack and it improves or freshens the experience that give the other pack a bit more longevity, then it's worth doing. But what do I know I've only been in sales and marketing for 15 years. This should be a pack that is respectful since it deals with death a difficult subject for some people. However it absolutely must be creepy and atmospheric and detailed. This is also an obvious opportunity to Update Occults/Supernatural aspects as well. If they are doing something with the Grim Reaper they probably have it already figured out about what powers you would have if you are playing as him. This is more a list to complement a pack that would deal with the Grim Reaper, death and related subjects. It also gives me another opportunity to suggests things I've always wanted in game. For what it's worth here is what I would like to see. 💀The Grim Reaper - Small Details Bonehilda still has a crush 💘on the Grim Reaper Grim Reaper will again do the ding-d*o*n*g ditch prank from Sims 2 at midnight on Halloween (Spooky Day) if you have 4 Jack O'Lanterns out within 4 tiles of your front door If you have Spooky Day cookies sitting out at Midnight there will be a chance that Grim will show up and take one and raid the nectar supply, which will in turn leave puddle as he is a skeleton Grim Reaper will allow a Sim Ghost to play chess against him and if they win Grim will resurrect the ghost. We need an option to exclude NPC's from dateable Sims. I have to refresh every 12 hours for many days to get past them all and to the Sim's I created. I do not want my Sims to date all of the NPC's that are spawned. I create quite a few single young adults so I can match them up this way. It is frustrating to not have them come up first. At least there should be more of them mixed in. Also, I have to go in and change many NPCs from Young Adult to Adult so they don't show up. But there is just too many to change. I am sure this is on purpose so you can have many Sims to chose from to date your Sims. Which is why I said we need an option to exclude them from Cupid's Corner. Either, All sims in the game or only favorited households, no other. Something like that. Also sometimes Sims like Bob Pancakes and Eliza are not set to married. Others also come up that way, so they also show up as a potential date. So I have to change them to keep them off the list. ThanksSome Nit Picky Requests
I might have made some posts mentioning some of these before, but here is a a list of nit picky requests that technically should be very easily done by a dev (like a matter of some file tuning), even by modders (and in some cases might even be mods) but asked to be official. OR: Catch and View Insects all need to increase Entomology Skill. At this time only Catch with Net works and only available for flying insects. Herbalism should be available to use in Cauldron and [EbN]+[OR] Add Herbalism to Apothecary Table | EA Forums - 12621176 JA: Speed up Archeology Activities (even with mods this just seems slow, and without painfully slow). CCSP's Gemology Table should work with Archelogy Table for selecting Crystals to Refine. RoM: Magical Realm, replenish the Frog Water Pump for each visit (I noticed these replenish in other worlds). Copypasto more items, specifically from other packs (such as EbN Apothecary Items/Ingredients). EbN allows some Alchemy Ingredients in the Apothecary Table to be stored, CCSP has Crystals/Metals in the Gemology Table, Frogs in the Storage Chest, etc. but when you click the Cauldron it is as if it is not available (where as food ingredients such as Apples show available in the fridges for the Cauldron). Spellcasters with a point into Spellcaster Socialite will autonomously use these socials when talking to other Spellcasters. Spellcasters with the spells: Scruberoo will automatically/autonomously clean self in low hygiene, and instead of mopping/cleaning, and Delicioso when self is hungry, use Floralorial on bugs, and Repario at least toilets. Magical Realm, isn't effected by Seasons but plants are, I don't think they should be "as this is a magical realm", and should be able to harvest year round. ECO: RoM Items should be eco friendly and off the grid. At this time even an in use Cauldron increases industrial footprint, and often the Magical Realm goes industrial. Magic should be considered eco friendly and off grid IMHO. PSP Items (specifically lights) should be all (or at least 3/4, the sconce is a grey area) eco friendly and off the grid, they are lantern/candle (though not treated as a candle) types. EbN: Maintain Houseplant needs to Maintain All Houseplants in room/area, and stay watered longer (these die way to fast, are harder to maintain than a substantial garden, and I don't want to enchant Houseplants). I'd love it if we could still Collect Evidence from the Search Boxes in the secret lab. After collecting 15 they are no longer interactive, and when I first started this questline I did it without the aspiration active, so I have to collect evidence just from Bugs/Listening In when I did set the aspiration, which was annoying. You can just indefinitely collect and sell evidence, which I think works for immersion. I'd love it if we could edit the secret lab, I know that this could potentially break the quest if the wrong items get removed, but I really like to customize this lot (especially if you got as far as using cheats to edit it, just have a fresh version of the lot on gallery as a back up incase someone messed up the lot so bad they have to restart), and have my Sim quat on the lot XD R&L (and FR) Add a Mystery of Strangerville Scandal so you can extort Military Personnel and Scientist. Have Bugs/"Listening In", "Ask Secret About..." and "Eavesdropping" can also result in learning a Scandal. I noticed sometimes players place bug reports for missing swatches, and sometimes they just get moved to feedback. I recently started looking into swatches, and noticed both apparently missing and seemingly by design skipping (shared or swap out options) of swatches. I thought maybe having a discussion thread where players can post swatches they think are missing and other players can give the opinions "Missing" or "By Design" before one decides to post on the bug forums or feedback forums. With Get to Work get Hospital lot, active doctor career and ilnesses. When playing as doctor we go to hospitals and take care of patients that are ill. Every sim can get illnesses but we can't a patient at the hospital, so they have to take care of themselves buying a generic medicine or drinking tea. Even though sims taking care of themselves is realistic, the lack of sims searching for specialists makes the gameplay really incomplete and unrealistic. So my suggestions to solve this problem are: Allow sims to have appointments at the hospital; Allow sims to do an online medical appointment on computer; Allow sims to call for a Mobile health care system.Faith and family expansion pack idea
Hello Sims Team! I have been a longtime Sims player and wanted to share an idea that I believe could add meaningful depth, storytelling, and inclusivity to The Sims 4. I would love to see a religion and spirituality-focused expansion or gameplay system added to the game. One of the things I appreciate most about The Sims is the freedom players have to create stories and represent many different kinds of people and lifestyles. I would love to see that same level of representation extended to players who value faith, spirituality, or religious community in their real lives. My hope would not be for one religion to be promoted over another, but instead for players to have customizable and optional ways to represent different beliefs, traditions, or no religious belief at all. Some ideas could include: A “Spiritual” or “Religious” trait Customizable belief systems or faith preferences Optional places of worship and community gatherings Prayer, meditation, worship music, or reflective interactions Religious leader careers and related university courses Faith-based or non-faith-based holidays and traditions Interactable religious texts or symbolic items from multiple religions Community volunteering, ceremonies, and family traditions I think this could be handled respectfully and inclusively while giving players even more storytelling freedom. Many players already create faith-based stories in creative ways, and it would be wonderful to have gameplay systems that support that style of play officially. As a Christian player, I would personally love to see my own values and traditions represented in the game world, while also seeing respectful representation for players from many other backgrounds and beliefs. REAL question...DID THEY STOP WORKING ON THE GAME?
At this point I have been playing Sims my whole adult life. It's my favorite game. I had to stop playing before because my game was lagging too much and everything was so buggy, I THOUGHT it was my computer, so I got a new one. Turns out, no, it's not me OR my computer, it is indeed the game. My brother started playing it and then my husband following him, and THEY BOTH have the SAME ISSUES as me!!! I have all but four of these packs and have spent sooooo much money getting them. It's not a dead game or so I thought.... I have repaired, uninstalled, reinstalled, bought a better computer and this game is buggier and LAGGIER than a dang indie early release game on steam!! These packs, kits and extra content is cool, but you charge WAY too much for them for them to be so buggy and unplayable sometimes. I can't even get some of the events and things done in most of the packs to finish and complete things. I was going to list specifically all of the problems and bugs I have experienced but I literally don't have all day. WHERE ARE THEY???? WHY AREN'T YOU FIXING YOUR MOST POPULAR GAME? You are freaking EA, I mean COME on!!
