Cannot purchase books, cannot cook, cannot upgrade objects
1. No mods, no CC 2. Cannot purchase all skill books from bookshelf or computer. The list is incomplete. 3. Cannot upgrade objects (upgrade parts are in inventory and handiness skill is maxed out) 4. With Simple living challenge, cannot cook food (prepped ingredients, etc are available and cooking/gourmet skills are maxed out) 5. Uninstalled/reinstalled game, deleted EA folder and started fresh. Problems solved but returned after a day of playtime.
Game crashes
I've been having the same problem, too. I'm updated to the latest version, and I play on Mac. Mine would happen unexpectedly--the game would be running perfectly fine, and then the game just closes on me without any warning. I'm going to see if it's any of my mods that I have installed, but I've cleared my caches, repaired my game, and cleaned out my save. I have no visible signs of corruption in my game either, so I'm really not sure what it is.Error code 110
Has anyone experienced error code: 110:b4748523:82af4633. I just made a new empty save file and tried to place a preivous household into this new save file. When i tried to load into their household i got the that error code and couldnt get into the household and play. Does anyone know how to fix this? Update: I tried taking out every mod/script mod of my sims 4 folder regarding error code 110:b4748523:82af4633. Sadly i still couldnt enter the household and got sent back to main world.
The game gave my spouse roommate a random partner
I let my spouse in game live in my house as a roommate so I don't have to control them. But one day some random character hovered into my house and started kissing my partner... What? I can understand this is a feature in the roommate gameplay because I've seen it earlier but please don't make this happen so often (almost certainly happen) on married sims. Not specifically my partner. Is there any mod or something to prevent this from happening? I can accept completely removing this game feature.Can't change outfits or drink on dates
Hi there, im having a few errors in my game: my sim moved in a ‘townie’ after they started dating and I have tried to change her likes/dislikes, arrange all of her outfits but then when I’m in game and go to change her outfit - all of the outfits are the same, and odd outfits (example: fitness is a fancy shirt, heels, and underwear. When I have my sims go on dates and do the ‘drinking’ activity as part of the date, it does the action of ordering and then never takes the drink. Or takes it and glitches and won’t do other actions, or puts it in a weird spot. thanks in advance! [CM edit - descriptive title]Sims freezing and not following instructions
My sims are constantly freezing in one spot or during a task. OR get to whatever instruction they have been given and then just stand there and stare at it. I've restarted the game multiple times, tried debugging them, it works for a minute and then back to it again. [CM edit - descriptive title]
Sims 4 Won't Load/Give dark color screen instead of showing the lot I'm on.
QUESTION: Game won't load into household or gives me a dark screen but still shows my sims. PLATFORM: Windows PC MODS: No GAME VERSION: 1.122.218.1030. DX11 DESCRIPTION: I am trying to play Sims 4. I was playing it earlier today but exited out so it could update with the new packs I had purchased. Now, it won't go past the green spinning Plum-bomb after I click "Resume Game." If I open it through "Load Game," it takes me to the worlds screen but when I select a household, it stays on the green spinning Plum-bomb still. I have removed all my mods, uninstalled the EA app and reinstalled it, repaired the game many times, shut down and restarted my computer several times (Windows PC laptop) and now am reinstalling the game itself. Could it be one of the packs I purchased causing it to not work? It's beyond frustrating and I'm at a loss of what to do. 😭 I will update when it is finished installing if it is still not loading; I just wanted to post to try to find possible solutions while I wait forever for it to install. So, after it has finished installing everything - it is doing this where it is a dark screen, shows my sims, but I can't click okay on the pop up or it just brings up multiple "go here" options. I have no mods. I am at a complete loss. I am going to try to uninstall my newest packs and see if that works. then reinstall one by one to see what happens. (it didn't let me uninstall just the three so I had to unistall the game and reinstall and then tell those 3 packs not to install.) I have added a screenshot of the 3 packs - the Lovestruck pack, Adventure Awaits pack, and the Royalty pack. I also have these "last exception" files in my Sims 4 file folder. I deleted them and am still having the same issue. When I scroll all the way through all the files in my Sims 4 folder, there was a few "**bleep**" files/something in it, so I deleted them, well. I am still having the same screen issue. I added an image of the message I get now when it loads. The screen is still dark. I cannot click "OK" on the message, it simply pulls up "Go Here" button(s) each time I click it.Missing pack
The same thing happened to me and I bought it from the EA app. I tried uninstalling the pack, but it didn't work. I don't want to start over by having to uninstall the game or anything else like that. I am very upset, because I paid real money to EA and the EA help is not helpful at all.Can't add sims to dynasty
Hi! Just purchased and installed Sims 4 Dynasty expansion. I created a new Dynasty, including the skills and ideals without any problem. However, I cannot add anyone to the Dynasty. When I click "Add Members," the box that should have options to add is completely blank. My Sim lives with 1 other person, who she's engaged to. I cannot see that Sim nor any others at all. Screenshot attached. I quit and tried again (error still happened), and I repaired the game as well (to no avail). I don't have or use any mods. I'm playing on a Mac laptop. Please assist! Thanks.
“Sorry, nobody is home”
Everytime my sim goes to visit a household it says they aren’t home, however the map says they are. I’ve switched households and the game works fine, it’s just the household I made and have been playing on. I have mods, but I’ve removed all of them and tried the base game, and it doesn’t work either. I’ve removed the cache, to no avail. I’ve tried repairing the game, to no avail. Help.
[RL] Can't have a deceased married couple display as such in family tree.
Okay, so you if you have Royalty and Legacy, then you're probably aware that a number of Sims in the game (mostly the pre-made Sims for this pack) have a number of predeceased ancestors that appear in their family tree. And if these ancestors were married, the family tree clearly indicates this. For example, the parents of Tybalt Capp and Juliette Monty were Caliban and Cordelia Capp. They don't exist in the game, but the Capp family tree shows that Tybalt and Juliette's biological parents were married to one another (rendered as a line between them through a pair of wedding rings). The problem I'm having is that I'm unable to simulate this sort of thing with living married couples in the game upon their deaths. I'm trying to kill off Cordelia V and her husband Thiago because I'm playing out a storyline involving their children (which I created since they didn't have any) squabbling over inheritance. Now, killing Cordelia and Thiago isn't the problematic part. That's easy enough to do. The problem is that once they're both dead and gone (netherworld), I can't get them to display as a deceased married couple in the family tree. It only indicates that they were biological parents to their children, but it doesn't indicate that they were married to one another. I've tried everything I can think of, but it seems the mechanics of the game don't allow for this (I'm on a console so I can't use mods). Once one of them dies, the marriage immediately ends. You can kill them both and have them remarry as ghosts, but I'm also trying to send them both to the netherworld and once one of them goes to the netherworld, the marriage between them dissolves once more. It's just frustrating, because I want Cordelia V and Thiago to appear in the family tree as a deceased married couple, not two unmarried people who had children together. Can this be done?
